New AP/Gfk Poll; Palin Rates Higher Than Romney And Gains Net. 6 Points in One Month

Posted by M.Joseph Sheppard At Palin4President2016 on June 23, 2011

The just announced Associated Press/Gfk Poll shows the continued rise in support for Sarah Palin. Palin polls higher than Mitt Romney for favorability, who leads the pack of announced candidates, amongst Republicans.

_Republicans still give Romney the highest favorability rating among announced candidates, at 61 percent. Palin, who’s keeping everyone guessing about her intentions, is holding steady, too, with a 63 percent favorability rating.”

Amongst “likely voters” Palin’s ratings continue to show improvement with a net gain of six points from May to June with her unfavorables showing a significant drop from 59% to 55% and a concomitant rise in her favorables to 38%.

This poll is just one is a recent series which, taken overall, show a steady rise in support for Palin.

The reluctant prophet Jonah illustrates a parallel to our current national crisis that looms large as we approach the 2012 elections. As Jonah boarded the ship that was to take him to Tarshish, nature reacted and forced a calamitous storm to bring justice to Jonah’s disobedience by throwing him overboard to save the ship and its frightened crew.

As Jonah was swallowed by a great fish and eventually transported in three days to the city of Nineveh, his dismal abode in the belly of a whale transformed his thinking to willing reluctance to deliver a message to the most savage people, the Ninevites, of his day. He then warned the people of their impending judgment because of the depravity of their culture and their brutal actions. Amazingly, the people of Nineveh repented and God gave them a space of 200 years before their civilization was ultimately destroyed.

Like Nineveh our once great nation has been on a pathway of destruction for over 100 years. Progressives from all political persuasions have systematically attacked our moral foundations and assaulted our values that threaten to destroy our once great nation. “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Is the echo from time eternal that has placed us on the slippery slope of moral relativism that is quickly debasing our American way of Living that we have enjoyed through the protection of Almighty God and the wisdom of our Founding Fathers as they originated our Constitution?

Our greatest weapon in this spiritual battle is the humbling effect of repentance, “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.”

Like Nineveh of old, America hangs in the balance, Will God in his mercy revive and restore a nation if his people appeal to his forgiveness and loving kindness? It yet remains to be seen, however the answer to the question begs the need for a leader that has the courage, conviction, and calling to represent his purpose in our nation.

Currently, I see one leader that represents the attributes necessary to fight, defend and win the battle that seeks to destroy this nation. Sarah Palin imbibes the courage and wisdom to defend against the attacks of this nation and has demonstrated the abilities and skills to govern our nation and represent the people’s interest not the political classes which have failed and disappointed us.

Like David of old who was the least likely of his family to be given the responsibility to eventually lead his nation, he prepared himself in the hills of obscurity by fighting a lion and a bear as preparation for the giant Goliath that he slew with the strength of his convictions and the power of his God.

As unorthodox as her approach has been Sarah Palin is showing our nation that hope lies eternal and that God is not a respecter of persons but is looking for those that will represent his names sake in our struggle against evil and his great plan to restore our nation. One Nation under God!

I find it hard to believe that Mitts even has the support that he has!! Of course, I’m no longer as active in the GOP as I used to be, so I have no idea who the party people out here (in CA, 45th Cong. Dist.) are supporting – but I’m sure there’s a sizeable Palin contingent, for susre! Once her campaign is under way, I intend to put by O4P status in higher gear!!

    (to be cont’d…)

  5. Dear Sarah you’ve had my vote since your acceptance for VP. THe first politician who ever blew me out the water, and nothing has changed since then except a greater admiration for you and your family and a lower regard for the GOP. My congressessman Robert Hurt has been a delight to see in that he has listened and responsed to the conservative voice, he was considered a moderate in our primary. I have grown to truly like the guy in all respects and am most satisfied with his presence in congress. I asked him to introduce himself to Steve King and Louie Gomert as soon as possible for guidance. There are some wonderful people there just far too few, that will change soon, and if you are not our leader there others capable if we exclude the rhino element. You are my choice, I would proudly salute you as my Commander In Chief. sioncerely jmbailey
