*Sigh* Reports of Tour Demise Are Greatly Exaggerated

Posted by Ron Devito on June 22, 2011

Governor Palin today posted on Facebook:

Imagine our surprise when reading media reports today that the “One Nation Tour” has been cancelled. Why didn’t anyone tell me? Oh, wait, that’s because it hasn’t been cancelled. (Good ol’ media… you never cease to amaze!)

As I said myself at the end of the east coast leg of the tour, the summer is long, and I’m looking forward to hitting the open road again. The coming weeks are tight because civic duty calls (like most everyone else, even former governors get called up for jury duty) and I look forward to doing my part just like every other Alaskan.

I wouldn’t think it to be such a slow news day that, what with numerous wars and serious economic woes concerning Americans, a bus is driving news stories today. The next leg of the tour continues when the time comes. In the meantime, no one should jump to conclusions – certainly not the media with their long track record of getting things wrong or just making things up.

Bristol Palin & Friend, Not Afraid of Life

Posted by Adrienne Ross on June 22, 2011

By Adrienne Ross –

Bristol Palin’s new memoir, Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far, hit the bookstores yesterday. According to reviews, she transparently opens up about Levi, shares the circumstances surrounding her pregnancy, and even discusses Senator McCain’s daughter, Meghan.

Bristol will hold a book signing next week on June 29th at the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN.

Star Tribune reports:

Palin, 20, will appear from 6 to 8 p.m. June 29 at the mall’s rotunda, bringing her back to the Twin Cites, where her family burst onto the national scene when her mother, Sarah Palin, accepted the No. 2 spot on the Republican Party’s presidential ticket during the 2008 national convention in St. Paul.

In her memoir, the daughter of the former Alaska governor recounts the media frenzy surrounding her mother’s political ascension, her getting pregnant as a teenager and the public unfolding of her crumbling relationship with Levi Johnston, the baby’s father.

Today, via Twitter, Governor Palin showed her support for Bristol’s book and life-affirming message. The 140 character limitation made two tweets necessary:

Bristol’s Book: Shocking; Refreshing; Honest; INSPIRING! Perfect. Plus ‘Not Afraid of Life’ gives insight into how media can drive false….

…narrative. Spot on! (& she’s courageous to write what she wrote, warning about decisions/consequences in encouraging way, esp for teens!)

You can purchase Bristol’s book here to read about the courage of a young woman who embraced less than ideal circumstances and has a beautiful son as a result.

Ironically, right after Governor Palin’s tweet came to my cell phone, I received a text message from a friend with the surprising news that she’s expecting a baby boy. She asked me to pray that she will be able to let go of life as she knows it, the life of “being selfish with [her] time.” The timing, I thought, was interesting. Here was Governor Palin praising Bristol’s book, Not Afraid of Life, and here was my friend seeking guidance as she takes on the responsibilities of the new life growing within her.

Surely, bringing a child into the world can be a frightening thing, but, as I told my friend, I’m sure it’ll come with great joy as well. May we all demonstrate the courage to live out–and promote–a culture of life.

Donate $100+ to SarahPAC: Get “The Undefeated” on DVD

Posted by Ron Devito on June 22, 2011

Donors to SarahPAC started receiving letters last week offering copies of The Undefeated to those who donate $100 or more. I received my letter on Saturday. I have confirmation that donors who use the website will receive the DVD. That is, you do not have to use the form on the printed letter and make a manual donation. Conservatives4Palin‘s Ian Lazaran posted the entire letter on June 18, which came to C4P from reader Daniel Morgan. You may donate by clicking the graphic or by any of the SarahPAC hyperlinks.

I have received a preview copy of the DVD and will also be attending the 2000 (8 PM) New York City screening tonight. Additionally, an Obama supporter I met in a diner agreed to attend as my guest. The purpose of including him is an acid test is to see if this movie alters his opinion of Governor Palin. I’m also asking my wife to review the movie, and her political leanings run to the left as well. Depending on how all goes, my review will probably be in three parts, so stay tuned.

Following is the transcript of the letter as posted by C4P, but with hyperlinks added:

As you know, an exciting new feature-length film about Gov. Palin will premiere in Iowa at the end of this month.

It’s called The Undefeated, and after a limited release in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada, you’ll be able to see it in AMC theaters across the nation.

OR…you can watch it right in your own home.

Because of your past support of Gov. Palin and SarahPAC, I’d like to invite you an early-release copy of The Undefeated in DVD format.

It is absolutely critical that as many Americans as possible see this film- and soon.

This documentary shatters the lies and distortions that have been spread by the biased media about Sarah Palin and her take-back-America brand of conservatism.

Day in and day out I hear Sarah denounced as “polarizing” and “extreme” by the national news media.

What are these “polarizing” things Sarah believes?

Well, like you and me, Sarah Palin believes that Americans should be able to choose their own doctor- not be forced into “Obamacare” against their will.

She believes that we need to start relying on our own natural resources instead of paying foreign dictators for oil.

She believes that every life is precious. That our Constitution doesn’t need to be rewritten by radical judges. And that Judeo-Christian values that our Founding Fathers embraced should still be our foundation today.

Those beliefs aren’t “polarizing.” They’re American.

And it’s time for patriots like you and me to stop letting the Palin haters and the national news media distort Sarah’s record especially now as America looks ahead to new leadership in 2012.

One way we can set the record straight is by making sure that millions of Americans see The Undefeated.

And today, I want to start with you.

Would you please consider supporting SarahPAC again today with a very special one-time gift of $100 or more?

In appreciation of such a generous gift, we will send you an early-release DVD copy of The Undefeated so you can see for yourself:

** Never-before-seen footage of Palin’s early years in office after she became Alaska’s youngest- and first female- ever elected governor.

** How Sarah’s hard-charging leadership earned her consistent approval ratings of 80% – and made her the most popular governor in America.

** The real story behind why she had no choice but to resign as governor in 2009.

Interviews with some of Palin’s closest friends, advisers, and former colleagues.

** And much, much more.

Once you’ve watched it, I know you’ll want to share The Undefeated with your friends and family.

And I encourage you to tell your neighbors to go see the film as soon as it’s released in theaters.

If your neighbors are already Palin fans, they’ll love it.

And if they aren’t, not only will they come away with a newfound appreciation for this great American patriot, they will understand for the first time how much this wife, mother, and public servant has been attacked, vilified, and abused by the national news media- just because she speaks her mind.

Like Ronald Reagan before her, Sarah Palin is a leader who’s not afraid to stand up to the “establishment” if that’s what it takes to defend the America she loves.

She speaks the truth- and that scares the liberals.

They can’t beat her in a debate- so they belittle her instead.

For the past two years the media has done everything in its power to mock Sarah, misquote her, and drive down her approval ratings.

That’s why conservative film-maker Stephen Bannon personally invested $1 million of his own money to write, direct and produce The Undefeated.

He knows, just like you and I do, how important Sarah Palin’s leadership is to America right now- and in 2012.

That’s why he’s kindly given SarahPAC the right to send early-release copies of The Undefeated out to our best supporters.

If you can’t send $100 today, will you consider sending whatever you can at this time to help Sarah continue the Tea Party Revolution she started with the 2010 mid-term elections?

Thank you for continuing to help Gov. Palin and SarahPAC take back America from the Obama liberals!

Many thanks,
Tim Crawford, Treasurer
Sarah Palin’s SarahPAC

P. S. Remember, for your gift of $100 or more today to SarahPAC, you’ll receive an early-release DVD copy of The Undefeated. Thank you for standing with Sarah as she fights for free-markets, limited government, and American exceptionalism. We’re glad to have a patriot like you on our side!

Why We Republicans Don’t Have a Viable Front Runner

Posted by reagantman on June 22, 2011

Some in the GOP have had no backbone when it comes to standing up for one of our own.

If everyone would have stood behind Sarah Palin after the media tried to destroy her two and a half years ago, we’d have a front runner. We have too many “trembling tigers” in the GOP who are “afwaid” that the media might make people vote for Obama again.

If we would have had a friggin backbone and stood up to the media early on while Sarah Palin was getting her ass kicked by DNC inspired bloggers and ethics violation complainants, then we wouldn’t be sitting here waiting for her movie The Undefeated to put the truth out. We’d already know it.

I know a lot of good conservatives on here who have stood up for Governor Palin when many in the mainstream as well as the Fox media wanted to turn their fair and balanced debates into arguments about gravitas and electability. But there have also been a lot of wishy washy conservatives fretting over the is she electible meme. We have a country to take back from some vicious sickos who have no problem with making stuff up, dragging Governor Palin’s children into everything and calling us racists, and there are conservatives who want to fret over whether Palin has gravitas? She would be seen as electable if you wusses would have stood up for her against the onslaught of a sick and vicious mainstream media, which she has slain despite your unwillingness, or impotence, to draw sword for her.

The fact of the matter, Governor Palin has been through more crap and has been more vetted than any other presidential candidate. She’s worked harder than anyone running for president. She has put in an amazing effort at keeping herself viable, no thanks to some on our side.

We can sit here and whine all we want that we have no front runner, no Reagan. But she’s been under our nose the whole time.

Ross Review: ‘The Undefeated’ is for You

Posted by Adrienne Ross on June 22, 2011

By Adrienne Ross –

I applaud Stephen Bannon for doing the hard research, investing his hard-earned money, and revealing the hard facts that resulted in The Undefeated. His efforts allow us, the viewers, to take a pilgrimage with him into Governor Palin’s successful career in politics. I applaud him, yes.

However, I will applaud more vehemently those who have the guts to see the documentary, especially those who admit they only know her through the media, those who have dismissed her as both undignified and unqualified to hold any meaningful office, and those who have been more comfortable lambasting her than learning about her. I will applaud them for being men and women enough to choose truth over childish narratives that have become the meat and drink of many a critic.

Tonight, I got a closer look into the career of Governor Palin as I was honored to preview this movie that has been heralded as a game-changer. Some have claimed that while The Undefeated will further endear her to her supporters, it will do nothing to change the minds of those not in her corner. I beg to differ. Having seen the documentary, I agree with the assessment of the people who have said this is a film for those who are on the fence. However, I’ll take it even further and say it’s also a film for those who heretofore have been dead-set against her. Disagree that a two-hour film can so drastically impact a person? Well then, I submit the same challenge Lisa Mei Norton did in her Big Hollywood article: I dare you to go see it. Anyone with a shred of decency, even just one honest bone in his body, wants truth, not propaganda. The Undefeated provides the truth about Governor Palin’s record that has purposely been hidden, distorted, or ignored.

The film leaves no doubt as to Governor Palin’s well-documented accomplishments. It reveals her as one of the “ordinary, hardworking people.” It shows that with a servant’s heart, a steel spine, and a sense of purpose, everyone can make a difference–even a hockey mom who simply loved her state more than she loved her own comfort, who was willing to take on the Corrupt Bastards Club, the establishment, and the unbelievers to battle for free enterprise, energy, and ethics. The film highlights the mayor who, through a commitment to developing infrastructure, made Wasilla into a booming business town; “the unpolitician” who, as governor, confronted and defeated the politics of big oil, took a red pen to the budget, and forward-funded public education; and the V.P. candidate whose love for America was only a reflection of her love for Alaska.

Through footage of her swearing-in ceremony in Fairbanks, we see the new governor upholding the same values she does today. It’s clear that she has not morphed into another creature now that she’s on the national stage. No, she promised her constituents all those years ago to fight on the side of competition, ethics in “your” government, and fiscal restraint for the benefit of our children’s future. She insisted then, as she does today, that more government isn’t the answer.

We see a governor hard at work with AOGCC, ACES, and AGIA. We see her doing what no one else had been able to do for 30 years in securing the TransCanada Alaska deal, taking this important resource development “from pipe dream to pipeline.”

The Undefeated doesn’t hold back the raw, vile attacks against Governor Palin, either. It places front and center the death wishes, the vulgar, sexually explicit language, and the Alinsky tactics used against her to derail her effectiveness as governor upon her return from the 2008 election campaign. It leaves no doubt why she resigned and why it was the only right thing that she could do, although it meant sacrificially handing over a job she loved. The unfounded, frivolous ethics complaints, although dismissed, were both paralyzing and bankrupting Alaska, so she stepped aside and allowed Sean Parnell to take over. She had always done what was best for Alaska. This was no different.

Governor Palin’s stellar record, accomplishments, and expertise reveal a public figure who earned unparalleled approval ratings, worked tirelessly for the people, and made history in the process. The film shows someone who has done much already, yet has too much more to give to pack it in now. She is, without question, prepared to be President, and The Undefeated gives us the sense that she may just be heading in that direction, despite the attacks against her character and her record.

The Undefeated will further inspire the millions of Americans who were already, at the very least, acquainted with her record. However, it is a must-see for those who know that a person’s record is as tied as anything else to the person herself and therefore necessitates an honest, unbiased evaluation. It is mandatory viewing for those who want to make informed, intelligent decisions about the future of our nation and those who seek to lead it. Furthermore, it beckons those who simply care about truth and aren’t afraid to be confronted with it. In other words, my message to America is this: whether, when you consider Governor Palin, you identify as a supporter, an undecided, or even a self-proclaimed hater, this film is for you. Have the courage to watch it with an open mind, and be bold enough to take someone with you; the undeniable, unfiltered, and undefeated truth will take care of the rest.
