Gov. Palin: Supreme Court decision a victory for all people of faith today

Posted by Dr. Fay on June 30, 2014

The Supreme Court has handed down a great victory not just for Hobby Lobby, but for all people of faith today! But who could imagine that five judges are the only thing standing between us and a violation of our First Amendment freedom of religion by an out of control administration at war with people of faith?

My recent book “Good Tidings and Great Joy” and Bristol’s blog have covered the Hobby Lobby case. Our friend David French with the ACLJ writes today:

“This is a victory for religious liberty and for common sense. Closely-held corporations cannot be forced to violate their religious convictions for the purpose of funding the Obama Administration’s radical pro-abortion agenda. The owners of Hobby Lobby and all the other employers who challenged the Obama Administration should be commended for their courage.”

Bristol is calling for “Hobby Lobby Love Day” on Thursday to show our gratitude to this courageous family business that stepped up to fight on behalf of all people of faith! They were truly David vs. Goliath!

Here’s more from Bristol:

Join Me in Hobby Lobby Love Day – Thursday, July 3rd

June 30, 2014 By

Well, this is a great way to start the day!

The Supreme Court says that Obama can’t force Hobby Lobby to provide “contraception” that cause abortions.  Way to go, Hobby Lobby!!

We should all go to Hobby Lobby and buy something to celebrate.  Who will join me in making Thursday “Hobby Lobby Love Day?”

Here’s how it will work.  On Thursday, July 3rd, everyone go to their local Hobby Lobby and snap a picture in the store — it can be with your favorite product, a cashier, or a selfie with the store logo in the background.  Hold up your message to Hobby Lobby — you can say “Thank You!” or whatever else.  Or, if you want, you could hold up a message to the President.

If I did that, mine might say “You can’t make us!”

Tweet this blog your photos of you in their store, or  tag me on Facebook with them. I’ll post them on here.  Use the hashtag #HobbyLobbyLove or tag @HobbyLobbyLove.

No matter what your photo says, buying something at Hobby Lobby will send a strong message.

Thank you for having the guts to stand up to an overreaching President who’s trying to re-make America into his own image.

It’s a great day for all Americans.

Let’s show Hobby Lobby how much we appreciate their courage.

Details: Hobby Lobby Love Day — Thursday, July 3rd

Send me your photos here or here.  I’ll post the best ones on this blog! (You can also tag @HobbyLobbyLove!)

Gov. Palin points out the hypocrisy in Nancy Pelosi’s border crisis statement

—————–

Well I’ll be a monkey’s uncle. My sister sent me a clip of Nancy Pelosi either speaking such gibberish, considering her track record, or confessing one heck of a great conversion. Yesterday, Ms. Pelosi spoke highly of illegal immigrants storming our U.S. border, including the children being used and abused in this crisis, and said America needs to look at this as an “opportunity,” not a crisis. She proclaimed, “every child, every person, has a spark of divinity in them and is therefore worthy of respect” because we are “all God’s children.” Amen, sista’! But, really? How sincere is this politician’s concern? Never seen as a pro-child/pro-life advocate with respect for that sacred “spark of divinity” in every innocent human life in the womb, Ms. Pelosi often touts her Catholic faith but overlooks this doctrine her Church has preached for 2000 years. Hopefully she’s changed her tune on the issue of life – in which case, I’m sure she’ll invite those who understand the impact a culture of life can have on America to use her new, refreshing advocacy statement. Her words yesterday are the foundational pro-life message that can educate those in her party who constantly claim to be “for the children” in one breath, but in their next breath advocate snuffing out the life of innocent children soon-to-be-born. Cynics (or those of us living in reality) recognize typical liberal hypocrisy here, but then again we can hope this is revelation of a profound Pelosi political conversion! Though I won’t hold my breath.

(Updated) Gov. Palin urges voters to get involved at America’s Last Stand rally

Posted by Dr. Fay on June 27, 2014

Video retrieved from Michael Dyess

Other than live tweets from Steve Spierling and Bean Counter last night, there is scant information out there about Governor Palin’s speech last night at the America’s Last Stand rally in Sevierville, Tennessee.

There is some information about the event in an article by Cameron Taylor at WATE.com:

Sarah Palin among speakers at America’s Last Stand event in Sevierville

SEVIERVILLE (WATE) – An event featuring a former vice presidential candidate like Sarah Palin and other well known politicians wrapped up in Sevierville around 11 p.m. They were speaking for a series called America’s Last Stand.

People from all over east Tennessee filled Sevierville’s convention center. They were there for an event called America’s Last Stand which has speakers that encourage local voters to get involved in politics.

[…]

6 News could only take pictures inside where well known politicians like former Senator Rick Santorum and former Governor Sarah Palin spoke to dozens. Other speakers included Fox News personality Judge Jeanie Pirro and Col. Allen West.

Their message was to motivate people in the community to vote in local, state, and national elections.

It’s something some in the area say people need to start doing.

“So few people are willing to speak up. We need to encourage those people to come out and speak up, to talk, to speak to the representatives, to vote, to get out and be active in the circle wherever they are,” said Howard Kingsberry of Sevierville.

[…]

6 News requested an interview with Sarah Palin in advance, but were told when we got to Sevierville Thursday that the former governor would no longer be available.

Instead Palin’s media relations team told 6 News that she was sorry, but would not be able to grant our interview request due to a limited amount of time in her schedule.

UPDATE:

Excellent article by Charlie Spiering posted yesterday (June 27) at Breitbart.com:

Don’t Retreat, Reload: Sarah Palin, Allen West, Rick Santorum Encourage Tea Party to Keep Fighting

27 Jun 2014

SEVIERVILLE, TENNESSEE—Waiting to get into a major Tea Party rally here in the hometown of Dolly Parton, attendees were disgruntled as they stood in line waiting to get through security.

But it wasn’t the long lines waiting to get inside the convention center that frustrated them, it was the Sen. Thad Cochran’s victory over the more conservative Chris McDaniel in the Mississippi runoff race.

“I had a hard time sleeping, because I was so angry,” Sevier Tea Party group chairman Steve Osborn said as he smoked a cigarette before the rally.

In conversations with attendees, and from the stage as Former Governor Sarah Palin, Sen. Rick Santorum, and Rep. Allen West addressed the crowd of about 500, the anger about Cochran’s controversial electoral tactics was palpable.

Tennessee is considered an important battleground in the fight by Tea Party activists in 2014, as conservative challenger Joe Carr is challenging the establishment Republican Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN).

Carr, wasn’t at the rally, but spoke with Breitbart News by phone, asserting that his race was more important than ever given the outcome in Mississippi.

Osborn, whose Tea Party group co-sponsored the event, decried Republicans that had “prostituted themselves” to the Democratic base simply to stay in power.

Other attendees shared the same sentiment.

[…]

“I was completely appalled and disgusted – it wasn’t an honest race,” explained Clare, a woman who attended the rally with her husband Steve.

The couple wore t-shirts to show support for the conservative challenger to Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-TN in the Republican primary, Joe Carr.

Like Cochran, Alexander is taking heat from conservatives for working with Democrats in the Senate – and voting with President Obama.

Clare explained that like Cochran, Alexander would likely rely on support from Democrats to win his election as well – as the state has an open primary.

“Lamar Alexander supports open primaries,” she said, “I think its very clear why, I don’t think he could win if we had closed primaries … he knows it, he needs the Democratic crossover.”

Members of the crowd were keenly aware of Alexander’s record in Washington D.C. and appeared ready to vote him out.

“I think Lamar Alexander is a total sell out, and he’s establishment, he’s too old he’s been there too long, he has no vision for our future,” said Kurt, a man who attended the rally with his son.

He admitted that Carr faced a tough race against a well-funded incumbent

“It’s hard to tackle a giant,” he said, concerned about the funding that Alexander was going to get from the “country club group” of Republicans.

“I’m a Joe Carr fan,” Larry said, calling him a “top drawer” candidate.

[…]

The group of political activists were keenly aware of the disruption in the party, and sought encouragement from three of their political champions who also faced tough losses – former Governor Sarah Palin, former Senator Rick Santorum, and former Rep. Allen West.

Mississippi was also on their minds as well.

“That was a disgrace,” West said. “That was not standing on principal that’s not standing up for what you believe in, that was just a career politician that just wants to go back to Washington D.C. That was despicable, it’s immoral and it’s disgusting.”

Palin also disparaged the Republican party for their actions in Mississippi.

“Well shoot, our own party was proving this last week, to potentially manipulate and exterminate the integrity of a primary election,” she said, pointing out that the “the bloated political clash from both sides were trying to discourage people aligned with the Tea Party.

Santorum also encouraged attendees to continue fighting in spite of the loss.

The message he wanted to send, he told Breitbart News after his speech, was for conservatives to not get discouraged.

“America’s bigger than that, it’s not about one battle its about fighting for what you believes is what is right for the country and staying engaged, we’re not allowed to get discouraged,” he said.

West offered a similar message in his speech.

“This is not our last stand it is our greatest stand,” he said. “Plant the flag. Make a stand.”

Palin reminded activists that the results should inspire them to redouble their efforts, pointing out that the establishment politicians would try to discourage them.

“It does make a difference,” she said. “What you are doing makes a difference and now more than ever we need to ramp it up. Don’t retreat, we gotta reload.”

In spite of their frustration, Palin soon had the crowd laughing as she peppered her speech with political jokes and taking shots against President Obama and his allies.

West, a University of Tennessee graduate, led the crowd in a rendition of the song Rocky Top, much to the delight of the crowd.

Palin took the stage acknowledging that Sevierville was Dolly Parton’s home town, explaining that she once dressed up as Parton for Halloween when she was in High School.

She also reminded them that the media was also trying to sound a death knell for the Tea Party but it was very much alive.

“Us bitter clingers and wingers, we ignored those yappin’ little lapdogs in the media and with a new social media kind of reporting you know we were able to kick those little varmints away, we were able to ignore what it was that they were saying,” she said.

Palin held up Sen. Ted Cruz as an example of a Washington politician that was fighting for them, and explained that it was more important than ever to send him allies in his fight against the Washington establishment.

“He is there for a reason not a season, and that’s what we need more of,” she said. “We need to send the good guys reinforcements to take the battle to Capitol Hill for us.”

Although she hasn’t endorsed Joe Carr yet in his primary, Palin dropped a hint to Tennessee voters that he was one of their allies.

“We need to be pretty discerning here of what kind of ‘Carr’ we send to D.C.,” she said as Carr supporters in the hall cheered.

Carr, however, was not at the rally as the set block of speakers had already been set.

[…]

Carr declined to comment about whether Palin or Santorum had decided to endorse him, but he said that his campaign had already had “productive” conversations with both camps.

He hoped that the rally would inspire Tea Party supporters to stay involved and believe in his campaign.

The Tea Party in Tennessee, Carr said, was “very very very well organized.”

“That’s three veries if your counting,” he said.

in 2012, the Tea Party groups held a vote deciding to support Carr in the fight to defeat Lamar Alexander.

Carr said that McDaniel would have won by at least five points in Mississippi, if the establishment hadn’t worked to “steal an election” by reaching out to Democrats.

He denied that the Cochran victory would affect his own campaign negatively.

“We’re finding that because of that race, there is a great deal of anger and righteous indignation, honestly this has created a great bit of fuel for the fire that is our campaign,” he said.

Gov. Palin: CHRIS McDANIEL: “WE’VE FOUND 1,000 EXAMPLES OF INELIGIBLE VOTERS IN ONE COUNTY.”

Chris McDaniel: We’ve Found 1,000 Examples of Ineligible Voters in One C

[VIEW VIDEO AT WEBSITE or here on the Hannity website.]

On Thursday’s broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” State Sen. Chris McDaniel, the Republican candidate in last Tuesday’s GOP primary that fell just shy of defeating long-time incumbent Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS), reacted to the outcome.

McDaniel laid out his Republican credentials and questioned why some within his state’s Republican Party had gone to such lengths to for Cochran.

“It was shocking,” McDaniel said. “I’m a two-term state senator. I’ve been a Republican since I was 13-years old. I’ve paid my dues. I’ve gone door to door. I’ve given money. I considered these men and woman to be my friends and colleagues. But desperation and the quest for power pushed them somewhat over the edge. And Tuesday evening the Republican primary in Mississippi was not decided by Republican voters. It was decided by 35,000-40,000 Democrats. That’s unprecedented and extraordinarily unusual.”

He also claimed he had evidence of more than 1,000 voting irregularities in just one country and pointed to the desperate tactics Cochran employed to get Democrats out to vote for him.

“It’s not so much a recount,” McDaniel continued. “We’re looking to the issue of whether or not people who participated in if June 3 Democrat Primary crossed over into the Republican Primary this Tuesday night. We’ve found more than 1,000 examples of that in one county alone. So, we’ve found widespread irregularities of ineligible voters. They should not have been there in the first place. And they were pushed there. This is what’s shocking, Sean. They were pushed there be an overt action, an aggressive action on the part of Sen. Cochran’s campaign that was filled with race-baiting, lies, distortions. He literally ran the latter three weeks on food stamps. He ran on voter suppression and he ran on pork. Mississippi is a conservative state and one would think that our party was a conservative party. This proves otherwise.”

As far as the tactics themselves, McDaniel condemned them and said that was his justification for pursuing further action questioning the outcome.

“It’s absolutely despicable,” he added. “They did everything in their power to embrace liberal Democrats. But think about that for a second. If we have an agenda as conserve conservatives, which is to fight with principle … to be strong open courageous and they say they’re going to fight the liberals in Washington but they embraced the liberals in Mississippi just to win the election. It’s the worst style of politicking I can imagine. They did it. They’ve gotten away with it so far. That’s why we’re looking at voter irregularities.”

Lamest of Lame Ducks Will Face These Victors

———————–———–

Congratulations to the victors of other GOP primaries across the country last night. I’m proud to support Dan Bongino in his bid for Congress from Maryland. He is a former U.S. Secret Service agent who has seen the underbelly of politics up close and knows first hand the type of games he’ll be up against in Congress. Congrats to Elise Stefanik. At 29, she may become the youngest woman to serve in Congress! I look forward to supporting these GOP victors as we send a conservative majority to Washington this fall, putting a stop to what we can only expect to be the lamest of lame duck years from Barack Obama.

Gov. Palin: Any GOP ‘architect’ behind abhorrent voting shenanigans in MS should be ashamed

Sarah Palin Addresses Tea Party Rally In New Hampshire On Labor Day

Posted on Governor Palin’s Facebook page today:

Sarah Palin
—————-

With Friends Like These, Who Needs Liberals?

As we pointed out last week (see: http://t.co/y8T64iZQyR), there were several potentially illegal political games afoot in Mississippi to motivate Democrat voters to “switch” over to the GOP for a day to help save a 42 year Republican member of Congress. On top of that, millions of dollars from out of state liberal billionaires like Mike Bloomberg poured in at the last minute on that same incumbent’s behalf. You have to ask yourself why? When a primary election is lost fairly, I am all for unifying behind the victor and joining forces to fight in November. When an election is questionable, with potential legal violations, politics MUST be put aside and the irregularities MUST be fully investigated. Regardless of party, we owe it to voters and to democracy within our Republic. The integrity of the vote speaks directly to the integrity of those who serve and the trust we ask the American public to put in our institutions. I told Chris McDaniel last night that I stand with his effort to get to the bottom of this – he needs to know average, but tremendously concerned, citizens want to make sure the integrity of last night’s results in Mississippi are verified. Voting shenanigans never cease to amaze, but they had better cease altogether for the sake of ethical elections. And any GOP “architect” behind these abhorrent voting shenanigans should be ashamed of this Pyrrhic victory for the establishment. If we find out it’s true that some of the characters alleged to have masterminded this Mississippi hijacking are the same ones who’ve tried to destroy other Republicans’ careers, they need to be taken to task and only be hired by unethical campaigns. Fool us once, shame on you; fool us twice, shame on us. And if any news organization ignores a free and fair elections issue like this, then whether left-leaning or center right, their silence will speak volumes.

You can read more about this issue from an article last week here:
http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/06/18/MS-GOP-Chair-Only-Those-Who-Plan-To-Support-GOP-Nominee-In-November-Should-Vote-In-Runoff

Here is the article by Matthew Boyle at Breitbart.com that she linked to:

MS GOP Chair: Only Those ‘Who Plan to Support’ GOP Nominee in November Should Vote in Runoff

19 Jun 2014

JACKSON, Mississippi — Mississippi Republican Party chairman Joe Nosef has stepped forward to call for only those who plan to vote for the Republican candidate in the general election to vote in Mississippi’s GOP primary runoff between six-term incumbent Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) and state Sen. Chris McDaniel next Tuesday.

Nosef also denounced anyone who may have paid Democrats to vote for Cochran, as state Democratic Party chairman Rickey Cole alleged on Tuesday.

“The law prohibits anyone from buying or selling a vote, as it should,” Nosef told Breitbart News. “We want a clean, hard-fought primary decided by voters who plan to support the Republican Party and our candidates in November. I personally have been and continue to be in touch with legal counsel as well as representatives from both campaigns in order to ensure that our runoff is accurate and legal.”

Nosef’s remarks are significant given his political history with former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, who is strongly backing Cochran. Sources close to Nosef tell Breitbart News he feels it’s the right thing to do to keep what’s become the bloodiest battlefield between the GOP establishment and Tea Party in 2014 under control.

Nosef’s call could undercut efforts by Cochran’s allies to push Democrats to vote for the senior senator in the runoff. Technically, according to ex-Department of Justice attorney J. Christian Adams, it’s illegal for Democrats to vote in the GOP runoff or primary if they don’t intend to support that nominee in November’s general election.

On Tuesday, the Jackson Clarion-Ledger reported that Democrat activist James “Scooby Doo” Warren has publicly claimed he’s working on behalf of Cochran. Warren said in his interview with the Clarion-Ledger that he will be supporting the Democrat nominee Travis Childers in November over whoever is the GOP nominee he’s working on behalf of now.

“I called D.C. and told them what was going on with the tea party,” Warren said. “But I can’t do anything after the 24th because I’m a Democrat… Whoever wins will have to deal with me in November.”

That report came as a Facebook message that Rickey Cole, the chairman of the state Democratic Party, sent to a key McDaniel campaign adviser became public. In the Facebook message, Cole warned that he’s heard Cochran’s ally Pete Perry—the chairman of the Hinds County GOP executive committee in Jackson and the head of Paradigm Government Relations—was paying black activists cash for votes.

“Large sums of cash are being passed around. These guys are old school ‘walking around money’ vote buyers,” Cole wrote in the message, obtained by Breitbart News.

Federal Election Commission (FEC) records show that Cochran’s Super PAC Mississippi Conservatives paid Perry’s outfit Paradigm $60,000 over two separate payments in late May. Cole wrote in his Facebook message—a comment he confirmed in an interview with Breitbart News—that that money left Perry’s hands then eventually made it to Warren, who used it as cash to pay street organizers and preachers in the black community to get out the vote for Cochran.

In an interview Sunday with Breitbart News, Perry said he hoped that money routed through a company he controls wasn’t being used for “walking around money.” However, other than saying he didn’t pay Warren directly, Perry wouldn’t say where the money had gone.

“None of your business,” he told Breitbart News when asked for details on his payment process, adding that explaining how it was used would help McDaniel’s campaign.

Shannon in this race; he is a bright ray of hope for the future of our party and our nation! We'll see him continue his fight for conservative principles; he'll show others the beauty of America's opportunities provided by the free market because he is a true believer. It's time to unite to bolster GOP influence in DC, and we'll exert nothing but positive influence if the planks in the GOP platform aren't comprised to the detriment of freedom. Congratulations, James. Well done, T.W. It's now got to be onward and upward! - Sarah Palin

Governor Palin talked to Sean hannity tonight about today’s primaries, the reasons Cantor was defeated in the Virginia primary, the possibility of a third party, and her reaction to David Plouffe’s denial of Hillary Clinton’s claim that the Obama campaign asked her to make a sexist attack on Palin.  Governor Palin said that Obama and his ilk made the first attack across the bow in her campaign in the ‘war on women.”   Regarding  the war on women, she said, “they started it.”
