This site listed above when accessed seems to be a sit in Arabic language.

In an article that appeared in my son’s school newspaper, the following quotes (or misquotes) were made in the name of Ms. Palin. They did not sound correct to me, and I am seeking your guidance about confirming/denying their validity:
    1. “Who needs polar bears when we have oil?”
    2. “There are just too many polar bears. They wander over to the oil drilling sites and seriously interfere with the drilling of oil”
    3. A statement was made in the article (not a quote) “She (Ms. Palin) is currently suing the federal government for putting the “beasties” as she calls them on the Threatened Species list”.
Could you kindly advise how I can check the validity of these quotes/statements. If incorrect, I will challenge them in the school newspaper, but for this I do need the facts.

I do not have a problem with people expressing their opinions, but I have a big problem with misquotes. Could someone check these, and confirm or deny the validity of each of the quotes.

    Kind thanks

    Henry Kister

To be on the safe side, I confirmed my thoughts on this with colleague Ron Devito at US4Palin, and here is his response:

“First two are Pure BS right out of the box.

Third one is partially true. Gov. Palin did sue about the listing. The
quote attributed to her is false. Polar bears are sufficiently protected
under AK state law. There was no need for federal interference.”
