Gov. Palin: What we can do about a Government Gone Wild

Tired of Government Gone Wild? Here’s What We Can Do About It!

Our Founders put a special a sort of “emergency cord” right into Article V of our Constitution as a last resort to rein in our wayward federal government drunk on its own power. That article gives states the power to call a convention for the purpose of proposing amendments to the Constitution.

Three states have already successfully passed legislation calling for a Convention of the States, and right now it’s Virginia’s turn. We need every patriot to step up and remind lawmakers in the Old Dominion why we support the Convention of States.

By calling a Convention of the States, average citizens can stop the federal spending spree, power grabs, and other abuses by proposing amendments to rein in the federal government. After the states draft, debate, and vote upon these proposed amendments, they will then be sent to all 50 states for ratification, and three-quarters of the states must agree for any of the proposed amendments to be ratified.

The beauty of this process is that neither the President nor Congress has the authority to stop it. It is truly in the hands of We the People. This idea is really the last recourse of the citizens to rein in DC and restore our country to a Constitutionally limited federal government.

Please read this post at Bristol’s blog to find out which Virginia lawmakers to contact right away to encourage them to vote for the Convention of States legislation in Virginia (SJ 269 and HJ 497):

http://www.patheos.com/…/contact-these-virginia-legislator…/

Please, folks, let’s not be complacent about this! This is a time for all patriots to take a stand!

– Sarah Palin

PS – You may have heard about this idea of the Convention of the States from my friend Mark Levin’s best-selling book “The Liberty Amendments.” If you haven’t read Mark’s book, I encourage you to do so!

Gov. Palin calls Obama out on Bergdahl: You lie!

Yet again Mr. President, you lie. You boasted that your exchange of an obvious traitor for a group of known terrorists hell bent on America’s destruction is because “we leave no man behind.” You lie. You left an entire nation behind in the Rose Garden while celebrating a military deserter whose treasonous act you smiled at for all the world to see. You hold the proverbial hand of a traitor, but don’t have the character to do the same for deserving souls who consistently give their all to protect America. Have you spoken up for the likes of American sniper Chris Kyle or so many other fallen heroes? No. You have no guts for that.

Astute, commonsense patriots, you were right all along. I said months ago (https://www.facebook.com/sarahpalin/posts/10152470416973588), “You blew it again, Barack Obama.” Read Bristol’s post for truth about Bowe Bergdahl:
http://www.patheos.com/…/its-true-our-president-traded-5-t…/

As Bergdahl’s father spoke his scripted Arabic greeting while Barack Obama nodded approvingly, I’ve never been more ashamed of a President’s action than this arrogant, destructive exchange of another stone in our foundation of freedom – for evil men who hate our freedom. Our once solid rock upon which we were built turns to sand with astounding anti-American acts praised by Leftists. We will – we MUST – survive this President, but God help us survive the people who still support this.

Gov. Palin to leftist media: We will win this war

Posted by Dr. Fay on January 31, 2015

Give It Up, Media. We Will Win This War

It’s important for independents, libertarians, conservatives and Reagan democrats to prepare for tough, healthy primary election competition in 2016 and ultimately employ the foundational virtue of unity to win this war against the failed leftist agenda that’s fundamentally transforming our once proud and respected nation.

No matter how the press spins it in their insufferable efforts to stir up controversy to boost ratings, including attempts to whip it up concerning Sen. McCain’s and my relationship on the ’08 ticket, and now, the bottom line is that unity for the cause is paramount for both of us.

I am confident our support bases believe the same if we’re to win this war for America’s exceptional future.

Gov. Palin: Obama putting nation at risk by locking up domestic energy production; unfair to vets

Posted by Dr. Fay on January 28, 2015

Posted on Governor Palin’s Facebook page on Sunday:

The highlight of this recent trip with Sportsman Channel to highlight “Amazing America” was visiting with so many heroic veterans – young and old – who have fought for our freedoms! It was great catching up with the outrageously superb and patriotic band Madison Rising (http://youtu.be/c8C7i9kdEf8) and hearing from my cousin Jason “JD” Morgan, a retired Air Force sergeant, from the great band Missing Stateside (http://youtu.be/ZvXKy9CnOLs) – be grateful for these musicians who support our troops; they remind Americans about the struggles our vets face, and they ALWAYS have our backs!

With all the sacrifices individuals make for our security and prosperity, it’s horrible to hear this week the Obama administration is locking up more domestic energy production and putting our nation at risk, yet again. The President would ban energy developments in Alaska’s ANWR, and to make matters worse this ban on domestic exploration is ironically on the heels of his announced visit to Saudi Arabia where he’ll encourage foreigners to save us from energy crisis. Makes no sense. And it’s patently unfair to those vets we saw this weekend. I apologize to our troops for the backwards steps our government takes that would essentially un-do so much of what you do to secure America.

Gov. Palin talks to Hannity about 2016 and what her agenda would be

Posted by Dr. Fay on January 28, 2015

Video retrieved from iizthatiiz.

Governor Palin talked to Sean Hannity last night about whether she is considering a run for President in 2016 and what her priorities would be.  Her answer about whether she would run is that it is too early to know yet and that her considerations would include her family and God’s divine guidance.  She gave a long list of conservative priorities, which can be found in the video above and in the excerpts below from the transcript that can be found in full here on the Hannity site.

[…]

———————

HANNITY: Are you considering for 2016 a run for the presidency? Are you thinking about it?
 ——————
PALIN: Oh, I, along with so many others on a deep bench, no doubt are thinking about it. But it’s much too early to say whether I, and I’m sure others would answer the same way, they would be throwing their hat in the ring.
 ———————-
HANNITY: All right, we do expect — I mean, come March, April, a lot of people are on the ground in Iowa. You were in Iowa for the speech.  They’re putting together campaign teams, hiring people on the ground. Are you talking to people about that? I mean, walk us through the thought process for you in terms of what it means…
 —————
PALIN: Well, my thought process personally, and you know, near and dear to my heart, of course, obviously, would be my family and receiving their blessing to go forth as first and foremost. And of course, being a Christian, putting my life in God’s hands, seeking guidance and inspiration divinely as to whether to run or not is — that’s top of the list.
 ———————-
As for the practical, logistical steps you take, yes, I have a small team. And of course, that would expand if any decision were to be made to move forward. And in the meantime, you know, I’m going to continue to do what I’m doing, and that’s helping find other candidates in other positions to get out there and do what’s right for their cities, their states, for our country because the middle class, as I said in that Iowa speech, really is getting the shaft with policies coming down from, in a lot of cases the state levels, certainly the federal level, that are hurting working class Americans.
 ————————
[…]
 —————————–
PALIN: Remember at the GOP acceptance speech back in ’08, the teleprompter broke there, too. It didn’t work, and I kept on going. So no, you know, I don’t know. I received a standing ovation throughout, and at the end of the speech. So I don’t know. I think a lot of this herd mentality of some reporters would — that kind of exacerbates some of the criticism.
 ———————-
But I don’t know what (INAUDIBLE) really would, when you talk about the meat, the content of the speech, would criticize when I talk about courage and integrity and a track record of any candidate that is needed in order to be able to sincerely serve the people of America, who deserve real hope and real change, and not more of the same, not more of the status quo, this old energy, if you will. But we need new energy, new ideas. And as I say, very, very important that we have a track record proving what works.
 ——————–
But what I also made a point of in that speech, Sean, and this is important, is knowing what the media is going to do throughout 2016. And my prediction, Hillary will be running and she will be, you know, the knighted candidate on the left and with the media. Knowing what the media is going to do, it’s going to take more than a village to beat Hillary.  There needs to be unity, understanding that we have that — conservatives have that strike against us, you know, right off the bat. That being the media. Even there on FOX, you know, kind of a quasi or assumed conservative outlet, and we have all day listened in to the tease of Bill O’Reilly. He’s talking about the guests on his show tonight or the commentary on his show. And that would be, Oh, all these GOP contenders thinking about running for president, like Donald Trump, Sarah Palin, and he names them off. He says, Oh, what a reality show that would be, yuck, yuck.
 ——————–
Well, the left doesn’t do that, OK? They take this serious because this is war. And hopefully, the media, even the quasi right side of the media, won’t be looking at this as some kind of reality show, a joke, because maybe they have theirs…
———————

[…]

————————-

HANNITY: So my question to you is, if you did decide to run, what would be the — what are the things that you would tell people? I’m looking for somebody that’s going to say, I’m going to do this, this, and this, I’m going to get people out of poverty, I’m going to balance the budget, I’m going to be energy independent, I’m going to secure the borders. What’s your agenda? What would be — what would be your message?
 ———————
PALIN: Bingo! Check, check, check those (ph). Absolutely. We are going to drill, baby, drill. We’re going to become energy independent.  We’re not going to scoot on over to the Saudis and ask them to develop for us, to prohibit any kind of adverse effect of some future energy crisis.  We’re going to do it ourselves.
 ——————–
We’re going to slash the corporate income tax. We are going to put chasing jobs off our shores onto foreign lands. (sic) We’re going to secure our borders because we know that a country without borders is not a country. There’s no hope for solvency sovereignty without borders.
 ——————-
We’re going to make sure that we have an education system that is in the hands locally, not a big federal level one-size-fits-all Common Core type of education curriculum, but locally putting the teachers and the students first, not bureaucracy.
 ——————–
And we’re going to take on crony capitalists who have utterly destroyed the middle class because they’ve been the ones being able to receive these loopholes and build more loopholes in tax formulas and in favoritism from a federal budget because they can afford the lobbyists and they can afford the lawyers to make sure that laws are written in their favor.
 ——————
So we’re going to take on things like that, that corruption, and we’re going to put America back on the right track because America deserves the best. We are exceptional. We’re losing that today.
 ——————–
HANNITY: All right…
 ———————
PALIN: And we certainly need candidates who are willing to be…
 ———————-
HANNITY: Last question…
 ————————-
PALIN: … competitors, fighters for this…
 ————————–
HANNITY: Odds…
 ———————–
PALIN: … to prove it.
 ————————
HANNITY: Odds you’re running?
 ————————
PALIN: I’m not going to give any odds. I still say it’s too early.  It’s too early.

Gov. Palin welcomes Netanyahu’s visit to Congress and invites him to the heartland

Posted by Dr. Fay on January 24, 2015

Posted on Governor Palin’s Facebook page this morning:

————–

Kudos to Speaker Boehner for inviting Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to address Congress. Like most Americans, I’m scratching my head wondering how President Obama can take time from imperative administrative duties AND his golf schedule to sit down for a peculiar interview with a neon-lipped YouTube blogger whose claim to fame is publicly eating Fruit Loops while submerged in a bathtub of milk, but he can’t find even a minute to meet with one of America’s closest and most important allies. We knew Barack Obama was green, but not this green. The White House goes out of its way to snub and smear the Israeli Prime Minister, while at the same time smiling and shaking hands with Iran. They never cease to amaze and defy good sense.

To add insult to injury, liberal organizations (see here: http://www.breitbart.com/…/stop-bibi-j-street-gives-netany…/) that claim to be pro-Israel are actually trying to stop our friend and partner in peace from speaking before our Congress. The good people of Israel must know that the majority of Americans are very happy to hear from their brave and honorable Prime Minister; we welcome him back to the USA! In fact, let us invite Bibi to “go rogue” and come to our heartland instead of the DC bubble this time and we’ll show him through open hearts, open minds, and countless standing ovations that we respect his commitment to peace. We love Israel. We will show their leader respect for his tough and practical stance against a nation that boasts its intentions to destroy both Israel and America. In this, Bibi Netanyahu is more the leader of the free world than he who should know better.

Please come to America’s heartland this time, Prime Minister. Allow We the People to thank Israel for remaining a beacon of freedom and democracy in a desperately troubled corner of the world.

Last night we capped off an awesome trip to Las Vegas with the Sportsman Channel by joining with Taya Kyle, Dakota Meyer and so many of our Special Ops vets at a reception thrown in their honor. Taya is carrying on her husband Chris’ legacy boldly – spending hours visiting with all the heroes there and sharing Chris’ book, inspiration, and story through “American Sniper.” Like most military families, Taya never stops giving of herself to support others. As more and more are learning about Chris and his amazing American story, we can help continue his legacy by supporting the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation at http://www.chriskylefrog.com

Thank you to the event hosts – Alaska’s own Kryptek Outdoor Group, Knight’s Armament, Leupold, and Remington Defense – for honoring our vets at this awesome event.

Governor Palin talked with Extra TV about Chris Kyle and the ‘American Sniper’:

Sarah Palin Calls ‘American Sniper’ Haters ‘Hypocrites’

Extra” was with Sarah Palin in Las Vegas as she weighed in on the controversy surrounding the film “American Sniper,” and her late friend, Chris Kyle.

Sarah was fired up and sticking up for Chris and his family. “I have had this admiration for Chris Kyle, for his wife, for the family, certainly what the family has gone through these last couple of years… Chris Kyle, a true American hero and people need to realize that.”

She called out stars who have slammed the film, saying, “These celebrities that we worship who haven’t done a doggone thing to protect our Constitution or our freedom, and then you have someone like Chris Kyle out there putting his life on the line, getting rid of the bad guys before the bad guys get us. And yet he’s demonized by some of those celebrities who should be appreciating the opportunity they have to do whatever they want to do.” She continued, “Hypocrites are the ones who are slamming Chris Kyle.”

Sarah met Kyle in 2011 when he helped with security at one of her public appearances, calling him “Awesome.” She went on, “I can’t even tell you what a wonderful man, very, very humble… he never sought any kind of spotlight. He always said ‘I’m just doing my job’… his priorities were right; family, faith, freedom.”

[WATCH VIDEO OF INTERVIEW HERE]

Kyle also starred with Palin’s husband, Todd, in the reality TV competition show, “Stars Earn Stripes.” The family is still close with his widow, Taya Kyle. Sarah’s message for her, “I just want Taya to know there are more of us than there are of them. Those haters.”

Palin is a huge fan of the film “American Sniper,” pulling for Bradley Cooper to win the Oscar. “I am so appreciative of Bradley Cooper and Clint Eastwood being able to manifest their respect for our military.”

Governor Palin’s husband Todd spoke to Breitbart.com on Wednesday about the hypocrisy of liberal Hollywood in attacking the ‘American Sniper’ movie.  Matthew Boyle reports:

Exclusive — Todd Palin: ‘Heartland’ Can See Through Liberal Hollywood About Chris Kyle, Record-Breaking ‘American Sniper’

AP Photo

Todd Palin, husband of 2008 GOP Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin, tells Breitbart News that Chris Kyle was “an unbelievable man” who “fought for freedom in this country.” Kyle had appeared alongside Todd Palin on the reality TV show Stars Earn Stripes, where several celebrities competed in military training competitions to raise funds for charities that help American troops.

Kyle also served as the personal bodyguard for Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor, at many points throughout her political career, including at the screening of Breitbart News Network Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon’s film about her political rise: “The Undefeated.”

“Meeting Chris, when he was doing Sarah’s security, he was just completely professional—an expert in his business,” Todd Palin said in an exclusive phone interview.

And then it was an honor for me and others to participate in Stars Earn Stripes with Chris and others in the military. You can have a conversation with somebody but until you’re side-by-side in the trenches with somebody, then you really know somebody. These guys, being a sniper, being out ahead of his unit and saving lives, Chris was just a good man, an expert in his field and he was one heck of a teacher.

Palin explained that Kyle taught actor Dean Cain how to shoot for the reality show.

He and Dean Cain were partnered up in Stars Earn Stripes and he turned Dean into a sharpshooter—and Dean was an excellent student. I can’t say how much Chris was a great instructor, along with all the other military ops. And that just goes to show you with their training and dedication and discipline. From spending time with him on the show and out on the trail, and at different functions, was just a true honor and I just can’t say enough about our troops. It’s just an honor to spend time with them and to stand shoulder to shoulder with them and learn just a little bit about what they were trained to do and what some of the missions were. It was unbelievable.

Palin says that military service teaches young men and women, including his son Track who enlisted and went through boot camp in 2007 at Fort Benning in Georgia, values that are important to the nation.

As father and mother, Sarah and I witnessed our son [Track] go through boot camp. It’s just an unbelievable process. You have an 18-year-old go down to boot camp and then you go down there a few months later when they graduate from boot camp and they’re just mentally strong, physically strong and have all the respect in the world for their drill sergeant because their drill sergeant is right next to you climbing up that mountain or running the five miles. But it just shows years of training, dedication and protecting freedom and liberty. That’s the motto of our military.

Palin also praised the other celebrities who participated in the reality show Stars Earn Stripes — where Kyle and other military operators taught them how to engage in various military exercises.

But if you look back at the celebrities that participated in Stars Earn Stripes, Picabo Streets—a gold medalist—Nick Lachey, Laila Ali, Terry Crews, Dean Cain, Dolvett Quince, Eve [Torres]—you know, for those guys to roll up their sleeves and risk their life to raise money for military based charities and it was hats off to them for what they did to participate and compete to raise money for those charities,” Palin said. “We were all just honored to be side-by-side with all of our military ops.

During the show, according to a blog post from the Palin’s oldest daughter Bristol on Patheos, Kyle praised Todd Palin as being tough.

“He’s Rambo, he’s straight up Rambo,” Kyle said of Todd Palin. “Next time I’m in a war, I want Todd Palin on my side.”

“He was the first one on the boat, the first one under the wire, and about the time the rest of the guys were getting through, he already had the crate,” Kyle added about Todd Palin. “You don’t need anyone else. Forget Chuck Norris, send in Todd Palin.”

Kyle is considered the U.S. military’s most lethal sniper in history. He had 160 confirmed kills out of 255 probable kills. A Navy SEAL, Kyle served four tours in the Iraq war and won numerous medals—including two Silver Stars, five Bronze stars, a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals. After his honorable discharge from the U.S. military in 2009, Kyle wrote his bestselling autobiography “American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History,” published in 2012.

Kyle was killed, along with his friend Chad Littlefield, at a gun range near Chalk Mountain, Texas, on Feb. 2, 2013, by a man who is awaiting trial on murder charges.

When he was killed, the Palins—Sarah and Todd—issued a joint statement on Facebook expressing their thoughts and prayers for Kyle.

“Todd and I first met Chris in Pella, Iowa, when he helped out with security for the premiere of the film ‘The Undefeated,’” the Palins wrote to the governor’s millions of Facebook followers on Feb. 2, 2013, the day Kyle was killed. “And later we became friends with Chris when he was on ‘Stars Earn Stripes’ with Todd. Chris was a wonderful man, a good friend, and a true American hero who loved our country and served honorably. He was loved and admired by so many, and he will never be forgotten.”

She and Todd attended Kyle’s funeral in Dallas on Feb. 11, 2013, where Sarah Palin wrote via Facebook that she hoped President Barack Obama “pays his respects in some gesture of condolence for their comrade in arms who sacrificed so much to keep him and all of us safe.” The Palins have stood up for Kyle’s family, too. Sarah Palin called former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura a “jackass” and accused him of engaging in “shaking down” Kyle’s wife Taya Renae Kyle when Ventura continued a $2 million defamation against her after Chris’s death. Ventura won that suit.

Kyle’s autobiography was since adapted into a feature film starring actor Bradley Cooper as Kyle and actress Sienna Miller as Kyle’s wife. The film is directed by Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood, and has been a massive success at the box office—despite recent attacks from liberals in Hollywood like actor Seth Rogen and documentarian Michael Moore.

[…]

Todd Palin ripped Hollywood liberals who attacked Kyle and American Sniper. He said they’re engaging in such behavior because they aren’t even close to as successful in the business of Hollywood as figures like Eastwood and Cooper.

They spend their lifetimes trying to have a successful movie like the American Sniper so they’re jealous of the success of the American Sniper. So, of course, there’s a double standard where they say ‘do as I say, not as I do’ and when you look at the last few years in America, Chris Kyle is a true American hero. People are just craving for that and that’s why the movie is such a success. He’s an American hero and that’s why people are going to continue to pack the theaters to see the show and it’s going to break all kinds of records. My hat’s off to Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper—they did an outstanding job.

According to Good Morning America, American Sniper has already “shattered” box office records in its opening week.

Palin added that a silver lining in the attacks on the film by the Hollywood liberals is that they’re now exposed to all of America for what they really are.

Their true colors definitely show. They like to bring that attention to themselves. That’s the motivation. It’s this group mentality of “I’m going to slam this guy and I’m going to get rewarded by my friends for standing up and making a statement” but heartland America can see through it all. And that’s why American Sniper is a huge success.

In an interview with People Magazine, Sarah Palin joined her husband Todd in touting Kyle’s military career, calling him a “hero” and a truly “humble guy.”
