Gov. Palin to GOP: Liberals won’t hate you less if you play nice

—————-
Rush is right. The GOP wants to take impeachment off the table? When will you learn liberals won’t hate you less if you play nice in these tumultuous times? No matter how polite, complacent, and complicit you are, Obama will continue to harm our Republic and make you impotent. Even today, his very un-presidential speech mocked you for always being a’ “hatin’.” Your apathy is their power. We must count on you, GOP. In the political arena you’re our last best hope at present. After soothing Obama by reassuring him that he’ll never be held accountable via the ultimate serious check on his lawlessness, you’ll now ease on down WHAT road to stop the madness? What’s the plan to stop his fundamental transformation of America? Please don’t tell us you’re armed with a phone and a pen and now a bunch of lawyers filing suit. You can’t bring those to the front lines and win.

And please don’t underestimate the wisdom of the people. We see Team Obama’s obvious strategy in pushing you back in a corner as you lay down the ultimate weapon of force our Founders provided you in our Constitution. Congress, you’ve already disarmed yourself of the other weapon the Constitution gives you by refusing to use the power of the purse to defund Obama’s lawlessness. Now you’re completely unilaterally disarming by taking any notion of impeachment off the table while Obama gleefully pushes forward with amnesty by fiat. He’s called your bluff, GOP! But it’s not too late.

Stand tall and don’t be afraid to educate the public about the Constitution’s remedy for a lawless imperial presidency. If you educate Americans about what impeachable offenses really are, they will listen. And trust me, if Obama moves on amnesty, Americans will look to you for action. If you stand up for the Constitution, you won’t let them down. Please be stronger, wiser, and more courageous for us. We’ll have your back. Reciprocate.

Gov. Palin: Our untapped natural resources are key to our security and prosperity

Check out this article about ISIS getting rich off Iraq’s oil fields. Is there any doubt that America must be energy secure by developing OUR OWN energy supplies? Our rich natural resources, untapped underground, are key to national security and prosperity. Here in Alaska we must do all we can to promote responsible development and the good jobs it creates. We’re so oil rich up here, and we can do even more to contribute to the cause of security. No more foreign oil, friends; there is NO need to import, no need to rely on nations that do not like us. They use energy as a weapon, and they obviously don’t deserve our business. We have no business supporting them. Stay tuned to a solution; it’s what Alaska can do to ensure aggressive, responsible, ethical natural resource development. Stay tuned.

Here is the article by Frances Martel at Breitbart.com that she linked to:

Experts Estimate ISIS Is Making Up to $3 Million a Day Selling Oil from Captured Fields

The terrorist group Islamic State, formerly the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS), could be making up to $3 million a day in illicit oil sales using captured oil fields in Iraq and Syria. Iraqi officials are warning that the jihadists are selling their own oil in ISIS-controlled areas and shipping it out to shady buyers in nearby countries.

According to NBC, the Islamic State – which is attempting to transition from terrorist group to, precisely, a state – has begun to sell gas from oil fields and wells it has acquired at gas stations in Mosul, the second-largest city in Iraq and ISIS’s de facto capital in Iraq (the capital of the Islamic State is officially Raqqa, Syria). It is also said to be selling oil barrels to black market traders in Turkey at $25 per barrel.

[…]

NBC notes that about 80 wells captured in Iraq by ISIS are not pumping, but this issue does not appear to be a problem yet in the oil fields captured in Syria. According to Foreign Policy, which estimates that ISIS is making up to $3 million a day in revenue on oil alone, illicit production of oil in both Iraq and Syria, by ISIS as well as other jihadist groups, is up to 80,000 barrels a day. In Syria, 60% of oil fields are controlled by jihadists or tribesman, not the government of President Bashar al-Assad.

While the numbers are alarming, its oil production may not be enough to sustain the Islamic State. As the jihadist group attempts to expand from being a rogue collective of international mujahideen to a government, it will need to pay salaries and offer public services and social programs. This is especially true of a socialist experiment like the Islamic State, which has indicated a high interest in providing for social welfare and limiting private enterprise. As one expert tells Foreign Policy, ISIS has “gone from being the world’s richest terrorist organization to the world’s poorest state.”

The revenue from oil sales has triggered enough interest in the United Nations that sanctions may be forthcoming for those who do business with the state, however. On Monday, the UN Security Council issued a statement condemning “any engagement in direct or indirect trade of oil from Syria and Iraq involving terrorist groups” and defining such business as “financial support for terrorists and may lead to further sanctions listings.” That statement was, however, drafted by Russia, which has its own reasons to make sales from the Islamic State difficult: an unsavory reputation of its own that has led to sanctions on its own oil sales from the European Union and the United States.

Media frenzy ensues following launch of Sarah Palin Channel

Posted by Dr. Fay on July 29, 2014

The launch of Governor Palin’s news channel on Sunday) generated a media frenzy populated by supporters and haters alike.  A few mainstream media sources were objective.  A Google search for “Sarah Palin Channel”  yielded 10,200,000 results tonight and 13,200,000 yesterday.  Here is a sampling of the multitude of articles written about the Governor’s latest venture.

Tony Lee at Breitbart.com writes:

Sarah Palin Launches Online TV Channel

27 Jul 2014

Vowing to once again go around the mainstream media’s filter like she did with her pioneering use Twitter and Facebook after the 2008 presidential election, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin launched her own member-supported digital TV channel on Sunday evening.

“Tired of media filters? Well, so am I. So, let’s go rogue together and launch our own member-supported channel!” she wrote. “This will be OUR channel, for you and for me, and we’ll all get to call it like it is.”

Palin linked to her channel and a video that welcomes Americans to her “new project” that will allow her to “talk directly” to Americans on her terms.

The channel, which is a part of the TAPP network, has videos, speeches and “Sarah Says” video commentary from Palin. She will also answer questions, chat with subscribers, and provide behind-the-scenes videos of “some of the fun in the Palin household” and “adventures in the great outdoors.” She will also invite and interview various guests as well.

In a “Sarah Says” video that is featured on the site, Palin says the tragic downing of the Malaysian Airlines plane has “shifted the balance of world opinion against Vladimir Putin” since “there is a lot of evidence pointing to pro-Russian separatists” as being responsible for the “thoughtless massacre.” She said that Putin, though, still holds “oil and gas prices over the heads of those” who are dependent on Russia’s resources even as he is trying to distance himself from the separatists. Palin noted that Putin uses his energy resources essentially “as a weapon” against Europeans who are afraid to cross him. Palin said American needed to curb Russian power by developing its own resources and diluting Russia’s. She said America could be a “natural gas exporter” if the government got serious about development.

Palin also said the Ukraine situation did not have to “escalate” because “a good leader steers world events” instead of merely going with the wind and responding to one crisis after another. She President Barack Obama is merely “reacting” to world events, which is dangerous in a world with bullies and tyrants intent on doing harm.

“America, you deserve better,” Palin says of Obama

Sarah Palin launches online TV channel

Sarah Palin has announced the formation of her own Internet television news channel.

“This is a news channel that really is a lot more than news,” Palin said in a video introducing the network. “This is a community where we’re going to be able to share ideas and discuss the issues of the day. And we’re going to find solutions.”

The network, which went live on Sunday, costs $9.95 per month or $99.95 annually for subscribers. Parts of the website — which is populated with videos, columns and other content — are available for free on a trial basis. The site doesn’t indicate whether Palin will host regularly scheduled shows or how long the free trial period will last.

In her announcement, the former governor emphasized that she wants a dialogue with her subscribers. “I want you to talk directly to me,” she said in the video. “That’s what I’m most anxious about — hearing from you. Together, we’ll go around the sound bites and cut through the media’s politically correct filter.”

In the video, Palin railed against some of her usual favorite targets — the mainstream media, entrenched members of the Washington establishment — saying her network would provide another way for subscribers to discuss the issues facing the U.S.

Tapp, the media group that has partnered with Palin on the venture, said subscribers will be able to write questions to her, participate in group video chats and post their own videos on the website. Tapp also said current U.S. service members can subscribe without charge.

Sarah Palin launches online channel as she rips ‘media filters’

July 27

Sarah Palin says she’s fed up with traditional news media outlets. So she’s starting her own online channel.

In a Sunday video, the former Republican vice presidential nominee announced the Sarah Palin Channel, a subscription-based Web site that she says will offer news, video chats with her and behind-the-scenes glimpses of speeches and political events she attends.

[…]

n a separate post on Facebook, Palin directly takes on The Washington Post, arguing it has “fallen like a lead balloon” since the days of writing about the Watergate scandal.

“Whereas you once doggedly covered the 18.5 minute gap in Nixon’s White House communications, you’ve virtually ignored the Obama Administration’s 1.2 million minutes of deleted communications by just one of the agencies under Obama’s executive branch,” she writes.

Palin says her new Web site is a response to mainstream media outlets she has routinely accused of dodging important issues and slanting coverage.

A subscription will cost $9.95 a month or $99.95 a year.

In her two-minute announcement video, Palin repeatedly criticizes the media. She also vows to talk about ideas that “Washington doesn’t want you to hear” about.

“Are you tired of the media filters? Well, I am. I always have been. So, we’re going to do something about it,” she says.

Sarah Palin launches her own online TV channel

The ex-Alaska governor and VP candidate promises subscribers: ‘Together, we’ll go beyond the sound bites and cut through the media’s politically correct filter.’

By Haaretz | Jul. 28, 2014 | 1:14 PM |

Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin, the former Alaska Governor and vice-presidential candidate, has launched her own online TV network, The Sarah Palin Channel.

At a cost of $9.95 a month, or $99.95 a year, subscribers have access to Palin’s commentary on “important issues facing the nation,” Variety reported. They will also get a sneak peek at her life as “mother, grandmother, wife and neighbor.” Subscriptions are free for members of the U.S. military, according to the report.

Users will be able to upload their own videos to the site, ask Palin questions and take part in online video discussions. The former VP candidate herself, also a Fox News contributor, oversees the channel’s content as its executive editor.

“I want to talk directly to you on our channel, on my terms — and no need to please the powers that be,” the conservative politician said in a video launching the channel. “Together, we’ll go beyond the sound bites and cut through the media’s politically correct filter.”

This article by Lloyd Grove at TheDaily Beast is rather snarky, but contains some additional background information about the Sarah Palin Channel.

Jonathan Klein, the former president of CNN’s United States operation, and Jeff Gaspin, the former chairman of NBC Universal Television Entertainment, are just the sort of lamestream media elites that Sarah Palin is constantly railing against.

But, because this is America, where capitalism is the great equalizer between liberals and conservatives alike, a little difference of opinion hasn’t stopped the former governor of Alaska, Republican vice presidential nominee and right-wing political icon from joining forces with two blue-state media entrepreneurs to launch her own subscription-based online TV channel.

[…]

The Sarah Palin Channel “went up last night at 9 p.m.,” Klein told The Daily Beast on Monday morning. He said that his and Gaspin’s brand-new niche digital channel company, TAPP, has installed cameras all throughout the Palin house in Wasilla—“Sarah can flip a switch anytime she has something to say”—and they’re building out the channel from their production hub in Los Angeles, while Mike Greer, the former chief technology officer of the satirical news site The Onion, is leading the Sarah Palin Channel’s Web design team in San Francisco.

[…]

“We’re not out to make a reality show,” Klein said. “We’re out to make a channel that provides you with all the dimensions of her personality. People are nuanced. They have different layers and different levels. Too often people in public life are reduced to easily digestible cartoons… What we’re excited about is giving voice, for literally thousands of people who are out there, to someone who’s got passion and something to say and has a rabid audience that wants to hear it.”

Klein added: “Sarah Palin’s supporters and the members of her channel will get a 360-degree view of the person they adore.”

It will be “a news channel that really is a lot more than news. This is a community,” as Palin herself describes the enterprise in a flashily-produced introductory video. “Are you tired of the media filters? I am. I want to talk directly to you on my terms… No need to please the powers that be. And most importantly, I want you to talk to directly to me.”

[…]

“We’ve been talking to the Palins for a while”—since their initial contact last year her with the ex-Guv’s lawyer-agent, Beltway establishment gatekeeper Bob Barnett—“but we really began talking in earnest a few months ago as her timing came together,” Klein said. “She’s got a complicated life. She does have five kids and three of them are at home, and she’s got a handful, running around the country giving speeches.”

Two of those kids—sexual abstinence advocate and former Dancing with the Stars contestant Bristol, 23, mother of Tripp and the ex-girlfriend of Tripp’s father, Levi Johnston; and middle school student Piper, 13, her mom’s frequent travel companion to all those high-dollar speeches—are also starring on the new channel’s web site. Bristol has her already-established blog on the site while Piper has begun to record her own video commentary. Meanwhile, Sarah’s mother, Scrabble aficionado Sally Heath, will be providing a word of the day, Klein said.

“When we began thinking about what types of personalities would be suitable for a TAPP channel, the governor really leaps out at you,” Klein said, “because she is obviously a very outspoken personality who has a lot to say, and whose supporters feel underserved. They feel they don’t get enough of Sarah. You can see that in the way they run out to see her speeches and buy her books, and mob her on the street.”

Klein said he and Gaspin sealed the deal five months ago with a visit to the Palin compound in Wasilla, a 45-minute drive from Anchorage. It was Klein’s first visit to Alaska, made all the more memorable because it occurred in the frigid depths of winter.

“We made the trip in February—that’s how dumb I am,” Klein said. “We actually passed moose on the road. I wonder whether they were placed there by the Alaska tourism board.”

Klein said he was pleasantly surprised by his close encounter with the governor. “She was a lot more down to earth than I expected and a lot less ‘on.’ She really is like a lot of the moms I hang out with at Little League games, and really fun to be around,” he said. “She’s normal and very nice—and a helluva moose chili cook.”

Gov. Palin challenges the Washington Post to do its job reporting current corrupt events fairly

My Challenge to the Washington Post

To reclaim your credibility (and the mainstream media’s, at large), I challenge you to engage in the same aggressive investigative journalism you courageously employed 42 years ago covering President Nixon. The public knows of our current president’s incompetence, denials, and cover-ups, but would be well served if we could count on your resources to dig deep for truth in all matters pertaining to Team Obama.

One example: your reporters kept tracking an obscure break-in story and that led to revealing a grave problem in the White House. The Washington Post’s reputation soared as the model of good journalism. Today, you’ve fallen like a lead balloon. Whereas you once doggedly covered the 18.5 minute gap in Nixon’s White House communications, you’ve virtually ignored the Obama Administration’s 1.2 million minutes of deleted communications by just one of the agencies under Obama’s executive branch. I’m speaking of the Lois Lerner IRS harassment-of-conservatives scandal wherein Lerner “lost” pertinent email communications. You’ve allowed Obama to skate with his proclamation that absolutely no wrongdoing occurred at the IRS, “not even a smidgen.”

The list of Obama abuses and impeachable offenses is long. I challenge you to lift a finger and help protect democracy, allow justice for all, and ensure domestic tranquility by doing your job reporting current corrupt events fairly. If not, you prove yourselves incompetent and in bed with Obama, not caring one iota about media integrity.

Those running the Washington Post’s show now, compared to those during the Nixon era, are too afraid of being uninvited to the permanent political class’ cocktail parties and petty gossip fests, making you all a bunch of wusses. I challenge you to get to work.

Gov. Palin: One in three Americans is talking about Obama’s impeachment

Posted by Dr. Fay on July 27, 2014

Sarah Palin
——————————–

More Opened Eyes to the I-word

A new CNN poll reveals that one in three Americans agree with my call for President Obama’s impeachment. That’s a huge number – especially considering how misconstrued the issue is when relying on media to explain impeachment. Let’s go around the media filters and acknowledge this ourselves: many Americans haven’t heard what impeachable offenses really are; but when they do, more citizens will rise up to hold their government accountable.

On the heels of this new poll, The Hill reports that the Obama White House is now taking talk of impeachment very seriously. They can’t poo-poo this as liberal followers want them to because they know they’ve done wrong.

The article states, “Dan Pfeiffer, a senior advisor to Obama, said Friday that the White House is taking the prospect of impeachment in the GOP-controlled House more seriously than many others in Washington, who see it as unlikely.” Pfeiffer then noted that a large block of the conservative base favors impeachment.

They also note that Team Obama is aware that the illegal immigration crisis is the tipping point. With the president continuing to halt deportations and with his intention to skirt law once again to grant some sort of amnesty by executive fiat, more Americans will join me in calling for impeachment. I’m talking about average, everyday law-abiding citizens who know we must hold our government accountable; I’m not talking about the political elite on both sides of the aisle who only give lip service to the problem of a lawlessp. They mock the idea of actually remedying this extremely dangerous situation because they’re fine with Washington D.C.’s status quo.

Thank you, good Americans who care about defending our constitution and preserving American exceptionalism! It’s so good to know we finally got Washington’s attention. It took the illegal immigration crisis to tip this because Americans know it’s a direct attack on our sovereignty, on American workers of all races and backgrounds (both native-born and legal immigrants who came here orderly, safely; the right, legal way), on our solvency and security. It IS a direct attack, orchestrated by a president who promised to fundamentally transform our nation.

The American worker is the forgotten man in this crisis of Obama’s making. None other than Cesar Chavez affirmed that illegal immigration hurts hardworking Americans as it drives down the wages of our workers seeking good jobs to support their families.

That’s why we see so many Americans of all racial and ethnic backgrounds uniting to protest this border insanity. We are protesting a lawless administration that doesn’t respect the will and wisdom of the people. We can affirm the productivity of legal immigration, but we know why we have laws on the books that keep government in check with this issue and all other issues; we know that part of what makes America exceptional is the rule of law. Without rule of law at our borders, in no time we will become as corrupt and dysfunctional as the nation’s immigrants flee to come here. We also know that “no borders equals no nation.”

The president has a constitutional duty to secure our homeland. That means securing our borders. He’s willfully derelict in his duty. This is illegal.

The Washington Post published a bombshell report this week about top officials at the White House and the State Department having been repeatedly warned of the crisis brewing with illegal immigrant children coming through our unsecured borders in massive numbers from Central America. Essentially the illegals are enticed here by Obama sending a message that he promises they may do so. Illegal children and adults from all over the globe are coming in droves to collect what he’s illegally promised. His incentives are invitations to not support legal immigration but instead, invasion.

Despite dire warnings, the White House didn’t want to deal with the issue. They were focused instead on Obama’s 2012 reelection and the push for amnesty along with that promised “transformation,” and this burgeoning crisis didn’t look good for the president politically. So Obama willfully ignored it, and our laws, and in fact Team Obama actively stoked this when Obama issued his own version of the DREAM Act. I call him the Dream Weaver because Obama waved his glittery magic wand and took actions that obviously led the illegal immigrants to believe they would be granted amnesty. And that is why they’re coming. He caused a trickle of illegals to “necessarily skyrocket.”

In light of this Washington Post report, there are two questions Congress needs to demand answers to: What did the president know and when did he know it?

Recall that those questions were asked of another president who was also the subject of a Washington Post exposé.

So, speaking of the “I word” – IMPEACHMENT – a supporter on Facebook recently asked me: “Do you have any clue why he isn’t impeached already?”

Yes, I do actually. Let’s go back to that poll I cited showing 33% of Americans agree with me on impeachment. It’s clear from the way these polls are conducted that most Americans aren’t aware of what constitutes impeachable offenses.

The Constitution says “high crimes and misdemeanors” are the basis for this serious remedy. The Framers used that term to mean a dereliction of duty, and the first duty of the president is to enforce our laws and preserve, protect, and defend our Constitution.
Alexander Hamilton described impeachable offenses as “the abuse or violation of some public trust.” He called them “political” offenses because they “relate chiefly to injuries done immediately to the society itself.”

No serious person who is paying attention can deny that Obama and his administration have abused and violated the public trust and the Constitution.

The White House is counting on the fact that Americans think impeachment is for committing a crime under the penal code. But I’ll keep repeating the truth in order to educate as many Americans as possible.

So, again, let’s be crystal clear on this. Impeachment isn’t necessarily for ordinary criminal acts, nor is it for bad political decisions or differences in opinion. We’re not saying, “Impeach him because his stimulus failed; he coddles Wall Street while dissing Main Street; he recklessly spends our tax dollars on skewed priorities, etc., etc.”

We’re saying he must be impeached for overstepping his Constitutional authority. Here are some examples: he broke the law in changing the Obamacare law by fiat, and he issued amnesty for illegal immigrants by fiat, and he committed fraud on the American people by lying that we could keep our health care if we like our health care, and he refused to secure our borders or halt this border crisis he caused. The list of abuse is long. Allowing any president to continue this lawlessness sets a precedent for future presidents that can allow destruction of our nation.

We’re acknowledging that there’s only one recourse in holding government accountable when led by a president who breaks the law. Remember the Constitution holds the president directly responsible for the executive branch. He can’t just vote “present” and keep feigning ignorance of all the scandals rocking his administration, any more than a mob boss can claim innocence because he didn’t personally do the hit. The buck stops with the guy at the top.

From Benghazi to the IRS and VA scandals, to the NSA spying on innocent Americans, to his Department of Justice wiretapping reporters and giving guns to Mexican drug cartels in Fast & Furious, to ignoring in-house illegal fundraising, I could go on and on.

Impeachment is the Constitution’s answer for a derelict, incompetent presidency, as well as for a lawless imperial presidency. Both describe the unprecedented problem we have with Obama.

In terms of lawlessness, the president is radically changing the way the executive branch does business. He has put us on a dangerous path that will fundamentally change us. With his “pen and phone,” he’s abrogating Congressional authority in violation of the Constitution’s separation of powers. He’s making himself a ruler, not a president. As I said last week, we had a revolution back in 1776 because we don’t do kings.

Making the case for impeachment is not difficult. What’s difficult is having the moral courage and political will to do what is right.

I will keep hammering this issue because it is clearly the only way to stop this president from further abusing his powers. Our founders prepared a future citizenry for such a thing. They crafted the tool for Congress’ authority and obligation to stop this. We’re putting the president on notice.

One out of three Americans are talking about impeachment, Mr. President, because we love this country and respect the sacrifices made to build it. That number will increase as more eyes open to the truth.

We are protesting a lawless administration that doesn't respect the will and wisdom of the people. We also know that “no borders equals no nation.” The president has a constitutional duty to secure our homeland. Illegal children and adults from all over the globe are coming in droves to collect what he's illegally promised. And that is why they're coming. He caused a trickle of illegals to “necessarily skyrocket.” In light of this Washington Post report, there are two questions Congress needs to demand answers to: What did the president know and when did he know it? Recall that those questions were asked of another president who was also the subject of a Washington Post exposé. So, speaking of the “I word” – IMPEACHMENT – a supporter on Facebook recently asked me: “Do you have any clue why he isn't impeached already?” Yes, I do actually. Let’s go back to that poll I cited showing 33% of Americans agree with me on impeachment. It’s clear from the way these polls are conducted that most Americans aren't aware of what constitutes impeachable offenses. The Constitution says “high crimes and misdemeanors” are the basis for this serious remedy. The Framers used that term to mean a dereliction of duty, and the first duty of the president is to enforce our laws and preserve, protect, and defend our Constitution. Alexander Hamilton described impeachable offenses as “the abuse or violation of some public trust.” He called them “political” offenses because they “relate chiefly to injuries done immediately to the society itself.” No serious person who is paying attention can deny that Obama and his administration have abused and violated the public trust and the Constitution. We’re not saying, “Impeach him because his stimulus failed; he coddles Wall Street while dissing Main Street; he recklessly spends our tax dollars on skewed priorities, etc., etc.” We’re saying he must be impeached for overstepping his Constitutional authority. - Sarah Palin Here’s the Washington Post article mentioned above: http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/obama-aides-were-warned-of-brewing-border-crisis/2014/07/19/8b5d2282-0d1b-11e4-b8e5-d0de80767fc2_story.html

In addition to the CNN poll, a earlier WND/Wenzel poll reported that HALF of Americans want to see Obama impeached.

Editor’s note: This is another in a series of “WND/WENZEL POLLS” conducted exclusively for WND by the public-opinion research and media consulting company Wenzel Strategies.

The faux stone columns from his Denver acceptance speech are crumbling, the fireworks have fizzled and the unadulterated adulation of Barack Obama is a sour feeling of disillusion, as a new poll reveals half of America wants him impeached, including a stunning one in four Democrats.

“It may be early in the process for members of Congress to start planning for impeachment of Barack Obama, but the American public is building a serious appetite for it,” said Fritz Wenzel, of Wenzel Strategies, which did the telephone poll Thursday. It has a margin of error of 4.36 percent.

“Half or nearly half of those surveyed said they believed Obama should be impeached for the trifecta of scandals now consuming Washington.”

Actually, on the issue of the Benghazi scandal, where four Americans were killed when in what may have been a politically motivated series of moves, a surging danger to Americans at the foreign service facility there was ignored until al-Qaida-linked terrorists attacked, 50.1 percent of Americans said Obama should be impeached. That included 27.6 percent of the responding Democrats.

All of America is buzzing about impeaching Obama. Now you can order Aaron Klein’s latest blockbuster, “Impeachable Offenses: The Case for removing Barack Obama from Office.”

On the scandal of the Internal Revenue Service intentionally harassing conservative and Christian organizations? Forty-nine percent said they agree that impeachment is appropriate, including 24.4 percent of the Democrats.

And on the fishing trip the Obama administration took into AP reporters’ telephone records in search of something that may well have been done by his own administration, 48.6 percent impeachment is appropriate. That included 26.1 percent of the Democrats.

Sign the petition urging Congress to impeach Obama.

It was only two months ago that respondents to the same poll suggested, although in smaller numbers, that impeachment was appropriate for other Obama scandals. At that time 44 percent said he should be impeached for his campaign to give amnesty to illegal aliens inside the U.S., and 46 percent said he should be impeached for launching the war to remove Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi.

“What is clear from the data is that Obama is at risk of losing his base,” Wenzel explained. “On each of these questions, about one in four Democrats said they agreed Obama should be impeached. What could be more alarming to the White House is that it appears that most of American is tuned in to these issues now, as 93 percent of registered voters said they get at least one news update on these issues every day.”

He continued, “Of the three issues now in the news, the one that has been there the longest, and the only one that has to do with the death of American citizens, is seen as the most important to Americans. While 49 percent said the Benghazi murders of U.S. diplomatic personnel is the most serious issue, 26 percent said IRS harassment was most serious, and 25 percent said the seizure of AP phone records was most serious. With news still breaking on all three fronts, it is impossible to know which of the three scandals will ultimately be the most damaging to the Obama administration. These findings clearly show Americans are concerned about what is going on in Washington.”

It spells headwinds for Obama, too, as he lobbies American voters to grant him his wish of having a Democrat Congress during the last two years of his reign, Wenzel said.

“What could be most concerning to the White House is that the Democratic Party effort to retake the U.S. House of Representatives next year may be at risk because of these issues. Asked whether they would lean to vote for the Democrat or the Republican in their own congressional district based on what they know about these three situations, 46 percent said they would lean toward voting for the Republican, while 39 percent said they would lean toward voting for the Democrat. Another 16 percent said these issues make no difference in their congressional vote,” Wenzel said.

He said, “The appetite is growing for impeachment proceedings. It is too early to say it is time for those proceedings to start, but it’s now possible to see that day on the far horizon.”

Of those who did not vote in 2012, based on their knowledge of Obama’s administration now, 37 percent say they would have gone back to vote for Republican Mitt Romney, 27 percent for Obama, and others undecided.

That the situation is serious for Obama was confirmed by former Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan.

“We are in the midst of the worst Washington scandal since Watergate. The reputation of the Obama White House has, among conservatives, gone from sketchy to sinister, and, among liberals, from unsatisfying to dangerous. No one likes what they’re seeing. The Justice Department assault on the Associated Press and the ugly politicization of the Internal Revenue Service have left the administration’s credibility deeply, probably irretrievably damaged. They don’t look jerky now, they look dirty. The patina of high-mindedness the president enjoyed is gone,” she said.

“The president, as usual, acts as if all of this is totally unconnected to him. He’s shocked, it’s unacceptable, he’ll get to the bottom of it. He read about it in the papers, just like you. But he is not unconnected, he is not a bystander. This is his administration. Those are his executive agencies. He runs the IRS and the Justice Department,” she continued. “A president sets a mood, a tone. He establishes an atmosphere. If he is arrogant, arrogance spreads. If he is too partisan, too disrespecting of political adversaries, that spreads too. Presidents always undo themselves and then blame it on the third guy in the last row in the sleepy agency across town.”

It’s even being compared to Watergate, that breakin episode that ultimately led to the resignation of President Richard M. Nixon.

That was confirmed by no less than Bob Woodward of the Washington Post, whose reporting on Watergate eventually snared the sitting president.

Woodward said recently, “If you read through all these emails, you see that everyone in the government is saying, ‘Oh, let’s not tell the public that terrorists were involved, people connected to al Qaeda. Let’s not tell the public that there were warnings.’ And I have to go back 40 years to Watergate when Nixon put out his edited transcripts to the conversations, and he personally went through them and said, ‘Oh, let’s not tell this, let’s not show this.’ I would not dismiss Benghazi. It’s a very serious issue.”
