Palin to Speak at New Hope Graduation

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on May 13, 2014

SarahpalinstripedshirtfromcecephotoshootAs reported by WHNT19News:

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Sarah Palin, arguably one of the most well-known women in the Republican Party in the last several years, is scheduled to visit to Madison County next week.

Dr. David Copeland, Madison County Superintendent, confirms to WHNT News 19 Palin will speak at New Hope High School’s graduation ceremony.

The event is next Wednesday, May 21 at 8 p.m. at the Von Braun Center.  It is an event that requires tickets, and a limited number will be made available, Dr. Copeland said.

“What an honor for the students of New Hope High to hear such a prominent speaker as Mrs. Palin,” Dr. Copeland said.  The students got the news at school on Tuesday morning.

Palin is a former vice presidential candidate, the first Republican woman to get the party’s nomination.  She ran on the Republican ticket with Sen. John McCain in 2008.  She also served as governor of Alaska from 2006-2009.  She currently works as a political commentator and endorses various Republican candidates for state and federal office.

To maintain the integrity of New Hope’s graduation ceremony, attendance will be limited to the schools, businesses, and communities of New Hope and Owens Cross Roads that support the vision of the school and the accomplishments of the students and educators in the Madison County School District.

A limited number of tickets will be available to the community and the public on a first come, first-served basis, through Dr. Copeland’s office by email: dacopeland@madison.k12.al.us.

WHNT News 19 reached out to the Alabama Republican Party on Tuesday morning for more insight.  The staff did not confirm the appearance, but said Chairman Bill Armistead spoke with Palin recently, who indicated she selects one high school each year to visit for the commencement address.  This year, she decided to come to Alabama.  The state party said staff members were reaching out to New Hope High School for more details.   More

UPDATE: 1st Interview with the Heaths About ‘Our Sarah – Made in Alaska’?

Posted by Roderic Deane on September 24, 2012

Apparently, Hannity has decided to postpone his interview with Chuck Sr. and Jr. until later in the week, due to unfolding events in the Middle East.

Join me tonight for what just might be the first interview with the Heaths on their new book! We taped the interview last Saturday and I agreed to honor the publisher’s embargo until 10pm ET tonight.

The show page is here:

Don’t Miss Tomorrow Night!

Posted by Roderic Deane on September 23, 2012

Hannity may have scooped me, but my conversation with Chuck Heath Sr. and Jr. will run immediately afterwards. I talked to them for about 35 minutes and it was a wonderful conversation! How many minutes do you think they’ll get on Hannity? I hope it’s a lot, because they deserve to be able to set the record straight.

Join me tomorrow night at 10:00pm ET HERE. It will be a featured show on BlogTalkRadio and hard to miss. In fact, I teased Chuck Jr. about being a partier in college. He sent me an email after the interview and I’ll share that with you during the show.

Be there or be square!

UPDATED: ‘Our Sarah – Made in Alaska’ – Preview

Posted by Roderic Deane on September 20, 2012

Important update: Due to the publisher’s embargo, I won’t be able to run my interview with the Heaths until Monday evening! The information below has been changed to reflect the new show information.

As luck would have it, I snared a first interview with Chuck Heath, Sr. and Jr., to talk about their new book, “Our Sarah – Made in Alaska”. I’ll be broadcasting that interview on a special edition of the Roderic Deane Show this coming Monday evening.

Join me on Monday, September 24th at 10:00pm ET! I have a great interview lined up and the book is the bomb!

The show page is HERE. Be there or be square!

From “Our Sarah”:

Many people have written articles and books about Sarah and our family. Countless news broadcasts have been devoted to the topic of who she is, what her family is like, and whether the stories about her and us are really true. We can’t vouch for those prior reports, but we can assure you that the stories and events we’ve recorded in the pages of this book are as accurate as memory allows. This is our story and our explanation of who we are and how Sarah came to be the person she is now. Hopefully you will find in these pages the broader context of her life, a context missing from almost everything written about her. The glimpse you will see in this book is that of the real Sarah Palin – the Sarah we know and love…

Governor Palin pushes for Ted Cruz

Posted by Roderic Deane on July 24, 2012

In a Facebook post from yesterday, Governor Sarah Palin reiterated her support for Ted Cruz, especially since early voting has begun.

Support Ted Cruz

Early voting began yesterday in the run-off election for U.S. Senate in Texas. [It runs through Friday, July 27th.] Texans have a clear choice in this race, and I encourage them to support Ted Cruz, a strong conservative fighter who will protect and defend our Constitution and not just go along to get along with the reckless spending of the permanent political class in D.C. The high-paid consultants of Ted’s well-funded opponent are in full panic mode and have plunged millions of dollars into false personal attacks against Ted meant to dispirit us and break our conviction. We’ve all seen these tactics before, but together we can make sure they don’t succeed. I encourage Texans to get out and vote for Ted Cruz.

– Sarah Palin

P.S.: For those of you outside of Texas looking to support Ted you can do so by visiting his website here.

The run-off election is Tuesday, July 31st. Governor Palin knows how important this is. Do you? Please support Ted Cruz in whatever way you can!

A tragedy, yes, but a political opportunity? Are you kidding me?

Posted by Roderic Deane on July 24, 2012

Last week’s horrific events in Aurora, Colorado should give us all pause. We need to reaffirm our love of family and cherish those we hold dear. Our lives can change in an instant, through no fault of our own. It could be due to a careless drunk driver, a sinister combatant in Afghanistan, or a willful, homicidal maniac in our very own neighborhood!

Life is full of joy, as God intended, and yet so full of sorrow. The sorrow is a consequence to the gift of joy, but God also made us a promise that we would be forever reunited with our loved ones in Paradise.

As we wrestle with the consequence of mortality, we must be mindful of God’s eternity. Through the horrible acts of deranged man, we should be reminded of the futility in attempting to create a perfect world. The perfect world is beyond our human capabilities and only manifested in the eternal joy of Paradise.

I am troubled by the attempt to paint our human lives as the end-all, in an attempt to capture political gain. I truly believe human life is not the end-all and resist the temptation of a man made utopia, as if God and His promises do not exist. We are tempted and encouraged to think otherwise by countless politicians, movie producers and journalists. We must resist this temptation and recognize that our time on this earth is short, by God’s design.

Who now can imagine the horrors of The Civil War, when countless young men were cut down in battle, denying their families the longevity of their family line? As a vibrant society, we benefit from everyone’s sacrifice and move forward in an attempt to do better and prosper. We should not forget past sacrifices and, instead, honor them! Those countless sacrifices made this country the envy of the world, but we now seem to have forgotten them and are suffering the consequences of aimless direction.

Thus are the lessons to be learned by last week’s tragedy in Colorado. From our current perspective, we will probably never make sense of it. Over time, however, we WILL persevere and God’s loving hand will guide us to bigger and better things, if we just believe.

Evil will always exist in our human world and it has a name. Its name is Satan, the devil. The devil will never go away as long as we toil as human beings and refuse to recognize its existence.

Do you remember the shameless and evil attempts to tie Sarah Palin to the shooting of Gabby Giffords? In addition to trying to blame the Tea Party, the lamestream media and the left-wing blogosphere pushed their story of Governor Palin’s complicity for days!

We just have to believe that truth and justice will ultimately prevail and continue to live our lives as responsible citizens, despite when the lamestream media attempts to use a tragedy for political gain.
