Palin responds to Facebook account speculation

Headlines on Tuesday and Wednesday read, “Sketchy, Sketchy! Sarah Palin Uses Secret Facebook Account to Praise Herself,” and “Sarah Palin Has a Fake Facebook Account.”
So what’s this new Palin controversy all about?
The headlines stem from a leaked manuscript by a former aide, Frank Bailey, who is looking to publish a tell-all book about his time working for the former Governor of Alaska. The manuscript, entitled “Blind Allegiance To Sarah Palin: A Memoir Of Our Tumultuous Years,” was first leaked by the Anchorage Daily News last Friday and is based on more than 60,000 emails that Bailey sent and received while working for the former vice presidential nominee. In the leaked manuscript, the aide provides Palin’s personal gmail address.
As a result, the blog Wonkette decided to run a Facebook search on that address, and they found what many are declaring a secret Palin account under the name “Lou Sarah.”
There’s been plenty of speculation since Louise is Palin’s middle name and the profile “likes” both Sarah and Bristol Palin.
However, Sarah Palin responded Tuesday night to the accusations on her official Facebook page while addressing the Iron Dog race…
“On a side note, there’s always buzz about fake Sarah Palin Facebook and Twitter accounts. Please know that this is my only authentic Facebook account and SarahPalinUSA is my only authentic Twitter account. Pay no attention to the fake accounts and their fake messages.”
