Palin — Bombs Away on Obamacare; Cruz Is over the Target

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on September 23, 2013

Cruz_palin_cpac2013_APThe following is an op-ed by Sarah Palin that was published at Breitbart.com yesterday. In it she accurately describes the will of the people to defund Obamacare as well as the House of Representatives budget vote to fund other aspects of government.  Palin also calls out establishment Republicans for their cowardly attacks on Senator Ted Cruz of Texas.

Americans who are fed up with Obamacare won a victory yesterday. The House voted to defund Obamacare while still funding the federal government to avoid a “devastating” shutdown. (I shall not digress, but it’s beyond distressing to hear liberals try to convince Americans that any government slowdown is comparable to “terrorism.”)

Now the battle goes to the Senate, and we’ll find out if Harry Reid is so committed to the horrendous “Un-affordable Care Act” that he’ll be the one to shut down the government to fund the unworkable Obamacare.

Let’s be clear. Republicans in Congress aren’t advocating a government shutdown. That’s why they voted in the House to fully fund our bureaucracy while defunding Obamacare. The conservatives in Congress are listening to the majority of Americans who do not want Obamacare.

Following the will of the people is apparently a novel idea in D.C. these days. Just ask Senator Ted Cruz and his liberty-loving posse on Capitol Hill who have led the charge to defund Obama’s train wreck.

Those of us who hang in there supporting a major political party with our energy, time, and contributions would like to believe that that party would praise principled conservatives like Ted Cruz and Mike Lee for following through on campaign promises. We’d like to believe that the GOP establishment would applaud the way these bold leaders have rallied the grassroots to their cause. But, no, such praise would require a commensurate level of guts and leadership, and the permanent political class in D.C. is nothing if not gutless and rudderless.

We’re now, once again, subjected to the “anonymous sources” backstabbing game. The Capitol Hill cowards are rushing to anonymously denounce Senator Cruz to any reporter with a pad and pen.

Welcome to our world, Ted. The same people have been denouncing conservatives like me for years (right after they ask for help fundraising for themselves or endorsing the latest candidate they’ve suckered into paying their exorbitant consulting fees). We can compare shiv marks next time we meet, my friend.

If the Senate doesn’t get behind Ted Cruz’s efforts to defund Obamacare, it won’t be because of any failure on Ted’s part. It’ll be because there weren’t enough principled leaders to stand with him, and that would be a tragic loss, not for Ted, but for America.

More and more Americans are waking up to the nightmare of Obamacare as its rollout continues. Hardworking families are losing their employer-provided health care coverage. Businesses are cutting back their employees’ hours to skirt Obamacare’s mandates. Americans barely scrapping by are discovering that Obamacare has made health care completely unaffordable. Those who aren’t part of a protected special interest group have been left in the cold.

When you’re living on a fixed income, having to pay hundreds of dollars more each month for health care will cut into your ability to pay for basic necessities like food, electricity, or gas (which has increased 90% under Obama). Open your eyes, America. When the full reality of Obamacare strikes home, we’ll thank God that principled leaders like Ted Cruz and Mike Lee took a stand to stop it in its tracks.

But the permanent political class is handwringing and howling that if there’s a government shutdown the media will blame Republicans for it. Here’s a little newsflash, GOP establishment: Whenever anything bad happens, the media blames Republicans for it. That’s not an excuse to roll over and play dead. It’s a call to follow the advice I give my daughters: Woman up, stand your ground, and fight like a girl!

I want no pity. I need no empathy. But use me as a barometer. Over the years, the leftwing media has falsely and irrationally accused me of everything from faking a pregnancy to abetting murder. They lie. Deal with it.  More

Ted Cruz Credits Sarah Palin Endorsement As “Game-Changing”

Posted by Dr. Fay on August 31, 2012

From article at Texas on the Potomac:

While speaking with POLITICO’s Mike Allen this morning, the Texas Republican Senate nominee called Palin’s endorsement “game-changing.”

“If you look at the senate races across the country this cycle and last cycle, Governor Palin has had a game changing impact one after the other,” explained Cruz.

Palin endorsed Cruz, a Tea Party favorite who shares her philosophy of liberty and limited government, just days before a wide-open May 29 primary, helping to propel Cruz into a strong second place showing. The Cruz surge provided momentum for his runoff battle with Dewhurst.

“Fighters like Ted Cruz can lead the charge for us,” former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin said in July when she came to Texas to campaign with Cruz, calling him a “a proven, common-sense constitutional conservative.”

The Tea Party favorite admitted that many have referred to his victory as “improbable.” He told Allen that the reason why Palin’s endorsement has had such an enormous impact is because voters consider her a true barometer of conservatism.

“In a Republican primary, everyone claims to be conservative and voters are pretty cynical. They are tired of these candidates that sounds great on the stump. They say they are going to cut spending, they get into the office and they become spineless jellyfish,” Cruz said. “I think conservatives trust Sarah Palin that if she says this guy is a conservative, that he is a real deal.”

Video: Governor Palin and Greta Discuss Cruz, Cheney, RNC, and More

Posted by Adrienne Ross on August 1, 2012

By Adrienne Ross – http://www.motivationtruth.com

Governor Palin appeared On the Record tonight and talked to Greta Van Susteren about a number of topics. They discussed the Ted Cruz’s victory, Chick-fil-A, traditional marriage, Dick Cheney, and the Republican National Convention. The Governor, I believe, was more vocal than I’ve ever seen her in calling out the GOP establishment and their little inside baseball games, where they seem content to use her as the baseball. Despite it all, as she expressed tonight, she continues to work hard and fight for America’s restoration.

Excellent kick-butt interview:

Palin: “We Will Not Settle For Business As Usual”

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on July 31, 2012

Sarah_palin25Sarah Palin posted the following note of congratulations on her Facebook page to Ted Cruz who was victorious in his run-off in Texas today.  Mr. Cruz (the future Senator Cruz) now goes on the ballot for the general election in November as the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate.

Congratulations to Ted Cruz! This is a victory both for Ted and for the grassroots Tea Party movement. This primary race has always been about the kind of leadership we need in D.C. Our goal is not just about changing the majority in the Senate. It is about the kind of leadership we want. Ted Cruz represents the kind of strong conservative leadership we want in D.C. Go-along to get-along career politicians who hew the path of least resistance are no longer acceptable at a time when our country is drowning in debt and our children’s futures are at stake. The message of this race couldn’t be clearer for the political establishment: the Tea Party is alive and well and we will not settle for business as usual. Now, it’s on to November!

Gov. Palin Stops By Texas Chick-fil-A

Posted by Adrienne Ross on July 28, 2012

By Adrienne Ross – http://www.motivationtruth.com

Earlier this week, Governor Palin called out Rahm Emanuel’s Chicago-style thuggery for his support of banning Chick-fil-A from expanding there. The owner, with a record of good service, happy customers, and charitable contributions simply voiced his stand for traditional marriage. A politician attempting to bully a private business is unacceptable, but “merely more of the same,” the Governor articulated.

Tonight, Governor Palin addressed an enthusiastic Texas crowd at a rally for U.S. Senate candidate Ted Cruz. Not long after taking to the podium, she mentioned that she’d stop by Chick-fil-A later to support the business.

As covered by Texas Politics:

Palin also injected herself into the Chick Fil-A dustup over its owner’s support for traditional marriage. “Jason,” she said, talking to an aide, “you’re going to have to take me on our way back to the airport later. We drive [by] a Chick Fil-A. We don’t have that in Alaska. Love me some Chick Fil-A. So, we’ll go there, Jason, on the way, OK?” The crowd cheered.

The article goes on to give a good run-down of Governor Palin’s fiery speech and includes several pictures. See for yourself here.

Chick-fil-A has not only had to deal with Emanuel’s ridiculousness, but has endured the vitriol of others who have no tolerance for those who don’t agree with their worldview. In fact, as Twitchy reported, when Don Perry, Chick-fil-A’s Vice President of Public Relations, died suddenly today, many of these so-called compassionate liberals took to Twitter to spew their hatred and revel in his death.

Once again, one reason I respect Governor Palin is she has the guts to consistently stand up for what she believes in, but she takes it a step further. It’s not just her own interests she looks out for. She stands up on behalf of others who are targeted by the hypocritical left, yet for this tendency to speak the truth she is called “divisive” and “polarizing”–adjectives she should wear as a badge of honor, considering they often come from those who have never in their lives stood up for anything that might cost them acceptance into the good old boys’ clubs for which they salivate.

Governor Palin, on the other hand, isn’t interested in being in anybody’s club, particularly if it shackles her or robs her of her independent spirit. She refuses to sit down and shut up, and she puts her money where her mouth is. A woman of her word, she did drop by Chick-fil-A, and she shared pictures.

Via Facebook, she posted:

Stopped by Chick-fil-A in The Woodlands to support a great business.

Shortly after, she also posted the following on Facebook:

Great to visit with the Sassy Feet dance squad at the Chick-fil-A in The Woodlands, TX.

Governor Palin On Fire at Ted Cruz Rally in Texas

Posted by Adrienne Ross on July 27, 2012

By Adrienne Ross – http://www.motivationtruth.com

Tonight, Governor Palin stumped for Ted Cruz, candidate for U.S. Senate, at the Get Out the Vote Rally in Houston. She gave one fired-up speech, totally fitting for an enthusiastic crowd of Texas patriots. These people want to see government restored to its limited role, Obamacare repealed, the Constitution honored, and spending sliced. They know Ted Cruz is the man for the job. Governor Palin lit it up for him in a speech that really speaks for itself.

Governor Palin: Support Ted Cruz

Posted by Adrienne Ross on July 23, 2012

By Adrienne Ross – http://www.motivationtruth.com

Governor Palin via Facebook:

Today early voting begins in the run-off election for U.S. Senate in Texas. Texans have a clear choice in this race, and I encourage them to support Ted Cruz, a strong conservative fighter who will protect and defend our Constitution and not just go along to get along with the reckless spending of the permanent political class in D.C. The high-paid consultants of Ted’s well-funded opponent are in full panic mode and have plunged millions of dollars into false personal attacks against Ted meant to dispirit us and break our conviction. We’ve all seen these tactics before, but together we can make sure they don’t succeed. I encourage Texans to get out and vote for Ted Cruz.
