Surprisingly Not Very Surprising: Sarah Palin More Respected Than Joe Biden, Al Gore

Posted by Gary P Jackson on December 22, 2009

A new Wall Street Journal/NBC poll has some very interesting bits of data scattered within. As expected in this poll, Barack Obama’s favorable/unfavorable numbers are upside down, and support for his unconstitutional “health care reform” has collapsed.

Being an NBC poll, the internals are about what you’d expect:

Out of the 1008 questioned, democrats are over sampled by 6 percentage points over Republicans, though those who claim to have voted for Obama vs McCain are closer with only 3 points between them. So that sort of brings it back a little closer to reality.

Ninety percent of those polled are registered voters, not always the most reliable sample, as out of those polled, only sixty-seven percent voted. So one would have to consider this a soft sample. In other words those polled may, or may not reflect the mood of the nation as well as a sample that contained a higher percentage of likely voters. The margin of error is +/- 3.1 percent.

What is interesting though is what is down further into the poll. Half of those polled were asked who they respected the most and half were asked who they respected the least. This yields some remarkable findings:

Now I’m going to mention some people who have served in public life at some point in the past decade. Please tell me which one or two of these people, if any, you have the most regard and respect for

THIS TABLE HAS BEEN RANKED BY THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGE

Barack Obama………………….28

Colin Powell……………………..27

Bill Clinton………………………..21

George W Bush…………………17

Hillary Clinton……………………14

John McCain…………………….13

Sarah Palin……………………….13

Dick Cheney………………………9

Al Gore……………………………..8

Joe Biden…………………………..3

None…………………………………3

Not sure…………………………….3

Knowing the sample, that doesn’t seem all that unreasonable. What is simply remarkable is Joe Biden, the Vice President, with almost four decades in Congress is tied with “none of the above” and “I don’t have a clue” for dead last on the old respect-o-meter.

This next question is where it gets a bit more interesting:

Now I’m going to read you some people who have served in public life at some point in the past decade. Please tell me which one or two of these people, if any, you have the least regard and respect for.

THIS TABLE HAS BEEN RANKED BY THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGE

George W Bush…………….33

Dick Cheney…………………27

Al Gore……………………….19

Barack Obama……………..19

Sarah Palin…………………..16

Bill Clinton…………………..14

Hillary Clinton………………10

Joe Biden……………………..9

John McCain…………………5

Colin Powell………………….1

None……………………………3

This is interesting to me mainly because it shows how just wording a question differently can yield somewhat different results. While in the first question Barack Obama is the most respected out of the bunch. When a different group is asked to name those who are least respected Obama has the dubious honor of finishing rather high in the ranking here as well. In fact, on the old disrespect-o-meter, more people have little regard for Obama than Sarah Palin.

What does this really mean? Practically nothing! But it tells us that in the grand scheme of things Sarah Palin may have a little work to do yet, when it comes to repairing her image, after being savaged by the media non-stop for a year. Of course, she has plenty of opportunities to do just that.

On the other hand, Barack Obama has done all he is ever going to do. While folks tend to like him personally, he consistently earns poor marks for actual job performance, which is what matters. So, for Obama, it’s all downhill from here.

You can check out the entire poll by clicking here.

Sarah Palin: Going Funny

Posted by Gary P Jackson on December 6, 2009

Thanks to Greta we have what is said to be a full transcript of Sarah’s speech at last night’s Gridiron Dinner. I gotta say, Sarah was on! As John Roberts of CNN was tweeting last night, it’s full of funny zingers.

From Gretawire:

Journalists…..and the “tonge in cheek” dinner Gridiron Dinner…

See below – the posting below is the speech Governor Palin (I am told) gave last night to the big media dinner in Washington, DC. I was not at the dinner but the speech was just emailed to me by someone who did go (no, Governor Palin did not email me her speech…)

Congressman Barney Frank also spoke and I would love to likewise get his speech and post here. The speeches are supposed to be funny …and poke fun at everyone and everything.

Here is Gov Palin’s speech to the media last night:

Good evening. It’s great to be in Washington and I am loving the weather.

I braved the elements and went out for a jog! Or, as Newsweek calls it, a cover-shoot.

It’s a privilege to be here tonight at the Washington DC Barnes & Noble.

Tonight, I’ll be reading excerpts from my new book.

Perhaps you’ve heard of it?

Going Rogue

Yukon wasn’t sure if I’d go with that title and somebody suggested I follow the East Coast selfhelp

trend and go with, “How To Look Like A Million Bucks…For Only 150 Grand.”

Todd liked, “The Audacity of North Slope.”

Hey, I considered not having a title at all.

I’ve said it before, but you Beltway types just don’t seem to get it. You don’t need a title to

make an impact.

But anyway, let’s get started.

I’ll begin my first reading on Page 209.

It was pitch black when we touched down in Arizona late on August 27, 2008. The next

morning we drove to John McCain’s ranch in Sedona. John was waiting on the porch. Before he

can say a word, I tell him,

I’m quoting now.

I know why I’m here, and I’m ready. But, I’m worried.

The cost of credit protection for the largest U.S. banks is rising precipitously. Have you given

any thought to the run on the entities in the parallel banking system? Do you realize the

vulnerability created when these institutions borrow short term in liquid markets to invest long

term in illiquid assets?

John said, “you betcha!

I thought, “you betcha?

Who talks that way?

Well, sometimes you just have to trust your instincts.

When you don’t, you end up in places like this.

Who would have guessed that I’d be palling around with this group?

At least now I can put a face to all the newspapers I read.

It is good to be here and in front of this audience of leading journalists and intellectuals. Or, as I

call it, a death panel.

To be honest, I had some serious reservations about coming to visit your cozy little club. The

Gridiron still hasn’t offered membership to anyone from my hometown paper in Wasilla, the

Matanuska-Susitna Valley Frontiersman.

And my dad thought it was just a plain bad idea to leave the book tour for some football game.

He might have a point!

I’ve been touring this great, great land of ours over the last few weeks. I have to say, the view is

much better from inside the bus, than under it!

But really, I am thrilled to be with you. And I’d like to thank the Gridiron for the invitation and

Dick Cooper for his introduction.

To paraphrase John F. Kennedy, this has to be the most extraordinary collection of people who

have gathered to viciously attack me since the last corporate gathering at CBS.

Despite what you have read, or more likely, despite what you have written, I do feel a real bond

with all of you. I studied journalism, earned a communications degree and for a time only

wanted to be a journalist. I was even a television sportscaster back home.

I’m guessing some of you probably got your start the exact same way… once there was

television.

Let me get back to the book.

I know that many of you are still upset because I wouldn’t play that silly Washington game. You

know, the one where all of you read a book in its entirety, from the first page of the index to the

last.

But think about it, because you actually had to read the whole book in the vein hope of finding

your name, you now know all about Denali, mom, dad, ungulate eyeballs, slaying salmon on the

Nushagak and Ugashik near Alegnigak, where we make AGOOTAK and moose chili!

You’re welcome.

Still, I want to do something very special for this audience of Washington elite. So, I’ll read

from the index–which I chose not to include in the hardback.

Would you believe me if I said I didn’t include it because we wanted to save trees?

Under A we have…

Alaska, media not understanding. Pages 1-432.

Under B…

Biased media. Pages 1-432

And under C…

Conservative media. See acknowledgments.

I’ll stop there.

I know this can be a long night, and as I understand it, we’re going to break with a Gridiron

tradition. Normally, the Democrat speaker would deliver a speech after me. But instead, John

McCain’s campaign staff asked if they could use that time for a rebuttal.

A lot has been made of a few campaign relationships. The closeness. The warm fuzzy feelings.

John and I both agree all those staffers should just move past it. It’s history.

Let’s just say, if I ever need a bald campaign manager, it appears all I’m left with is James

Carville.

I don’t want to say that I’ve burned a bridge, but I know all about canceling a bridge to

nowhere.

That Democrat speaker I referred to is, of course, the one-and-only Barney Frank.

And I’m the controversial one?

Barney, the nation owes you and the government a debt. A huge, historic, unbelievable debt.

But, it’s good to be here with you, Mr. Chairman.

Because by Chairman, I don’t just mean the House Financial Services Committee. As far as I

can tell, Barney’s also the Chair of AIG, CITI, and the Bank of America.

I don’t want to say that the U.S. Government is taking over the role of the private sector, but I

have to admit, on the flight here, thumbing through a magazine and looking at a photo of

President Obama with the President of China, the person next to me pointed at it and said, “Hu’s

a communist.”

I thought they were asking a question.

Still, when I see this administration in action, I can’t help think of what might have been.

I could be the Vice President overseeing the signing of bailout checks. And Joe Biden would be

on the road, selling his new book, Going Rogaine.

Speaking of books….

Did I mention mine?

Going Rogue

Makes a great stocking stuffer. Available now at a bookstore near you.

Hey, I have to pay for my campaign vetting bill somehow.

Really, the response has been great. So I’ll close by reading a final passage.

Page 403:

I’ve been asked a lot lately, “Where are you going next?

Good question!

Wherever I go I know that, as with anyone in the public eye, I’ll continue to have my share of

disagreements with those in the media. Maybe even more than my share. It will come as no

surprise that I don’t think I was always treated fairly, or equally.

But despite that, I respect the media very much. It’s important. A free press allows for vigorous

debate! And that debate is absolutely vital for our democracy.

So as hard as it can sometimes be, we must all look past personal grievances. We must move

beyond petty politics. And we must allow these incredibly talented and hard-working women

and men to ask the hard questions and hold us, and our government, accountable.

Because their mission is as true as the sun rising over the Talkeetna and Susitna Mountains.

Okay – so none of that is actually in the book. Not a word.

But I do believe it!

And I believe we live in a beautiful country blessed with so many different people who want the

best for their children, families and for our great nation. I’m so proud to be an American.

And that is what I’ll be talking about when I travel to, really where I’m headed.

No better place than here to announce where I’m going. I’m going to Iowa!

I’ll be there tomorrow from noon to 3:00 pm at the Barnes & Noble on Sergeant Road in Sioux

City.

Come early. Long lines are expected.

Thank you everyone. God Bless the U.S.A!

Sarah Palin To Headline 2010 International Bowling Expo

Posted by Gary P Jackson on December 2, 2009

Here’s a little tidbit for you. One thing we know for sure, Sarah Palin is probably a lot better bowler than you know who!

Via the BPAA:

Sarah Palin Strikes New Ground as Keynote Speaker at International Bowl Expo 2010

Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America (BPAA) Welcomes Palin as Featured Guest at Bowling Industry’s Premier International Convention

ARLINGTON, TX–(Marketwire – December 2, 2009) – The Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America (BPAA), the bowling industry’s leading trade association, announced today that the bowling industry rolled a strike, securing Sarah Palin as the keynote speaker at this summer’s International Bowl Expo 2010.

“Sarah Palin is a great friend to the bowling industry and we’re so proud and honored to welcome her as our keynote speaker at International Bowl Expo 2010,” said Steven Johnson, executive director of the BPAA. “Regardless of your political affiliation, Ms. Palin is a force in American politics and culture. Her presence underscores the impact and importance of bowling, one of our country’s leading national pastimes and a growing $10 billion industry.”

The International Bowl Expo 2010 is to be held from June 27 to July 1 at the Las Vegas Hilton and Las Vegas Convention Center. Ms. Palin’s keynote speech is to take place during the general session on the morning of June 30 at the Las Vegas Hilton.

About Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin first made history on December 4, 2006 when she was sworn in as the first female governor of Alaska. In August 2008, Senator John McCain tapped Palin to serve as his vice-presidential running mate in his presidential campaign, making her the first woman to run on the Republican Party’s presidential ticket.

In Alaska, her top priorities included fiscal restraint, limiting the size of government, resource development, education, equitable oil valuation as well as transportation and infrastructure development. Palin fought for ethics reform and transparency in government.

Palin has a long record of achievement and experience in public office. Prior to her election as Governor, Palin served two terms on the Wasilla City Council and two terms as the mayor of Wasilla. During her tenure, she reduced property tax levels while increasing services and made Wasilla a business-friendly environment, drawing in new industry.

Under her leadership as Governor, Alaska invested $5 billion in state savings, overhauled education funding and protected Alaska’s natural resources. She created Alaska’s Petroleum Systems Integrity Office to provide oversight and maintenance of oil and gas equipment, facilities and infrastructure and the Climate Change Subcabinet to prepare a climate change strategy for Alaska.

During Governor Palin’s first year in office, three of her administration’s major proposed pieces of legislation passed included an overhaul of the state’s ethics laws, a competitive process to construct a natural gas pipeline and a restructuring of Alaska’s oil valuation formula.

Palin is past chair of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, a multistate government agency that promotes the conservation and efficient recovery of domestic oil and natural gas resources while protecting health, safety and the environment. She also served as chair of the National Governors Association (NGA) Natural Resources Committee, which was charged with pursuing legislation to ensure state needs are considered as federal policy is formulated in the areas of agriculture, energy, environmental protection and natural resource management.

Sarah Heath Palin arrived in Alaska with her family in 1964, when her parents came to teach school in Skagway. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications-Journalism from the University of Idaho in 1987.

She is married to Todd Palin, who is a lifelong Alaskan, worked as a production operator on the North Slope and is a four-time champion of the Iron Dog, the world’s longest snow machine race. They have five children. She is the author of “Going Rogue: An American Life,” which was released in November 2009.

About BPAA

Headquartered in Arlington, Texas, the 77-year-old Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America is a trade association representing the business interests of bowling center owners worldwide. BPAA’s mission is to enhance the profitability of its member bowling centers.

As a former Governor, and a small business owner, Sarah is obviously a great choice to headline this event. Bowling is a very popular sport worldwide and Sarah’s vast business experience as well as her love for all sports should be a great fit with this group.

Going Rogue Debuts At Number One On New York Times Best Seller List

Posted by Gary P Jackson on November 30, 2009

In it’s first week out Sarah Palin’s book, Going Rogue, An American Life, has debuted in the coveted number one spot on the New York Times Best Sellers List.

Going Rogue reportedly sold 300,000 the first day and 700,000 the first week. HarperCollins, Sarah Palin’s publisher, seeing the way sales were going, had already ordered a second printing before the book actually was available on your favorite book store’s shelves. HarperCollins ordered the printing of an additional 1 million books to go along with the original 1.5 million first printing, which will bring the total printing, to date, to 2.5 million copies.

Sarah’s book replaces the previous week’s top seller, tennis champion Andre Agassi’s autobiography Open.

Few nonfiction books have debuted so well. In 2004, Bill Clinton’s My Life sold around 900,000 copies in its first week.

If you haven’t picked up your copy of Going Rogue, all I can say is: What are you waiting for!

You can read my review of Sarah’s book here.

Rasmussen: Sarah Palin’s Approval Rating Higher Than Barack Obama’s

Posted by Gary P Jackson on November 17, 2009

In a national poll conducted by Rasmussen on November 13 and 14, 2009 among 1000 likely voters, Sarah Palin is now polling higher in approval than Barack Obama.

In their latest poll, Rasmussen finds that 51 percent have a favorable view of Sarah Palin while 43 percent have an unfavorable view. Obviously, this is a very strong rating considering the constant bombardment the American public is subjected to by the corrupt media, telling them how “bad for America” Sarah Palin is.

If anything, this may be more of a statement on the shrinking influence the old, corrupt media has on the American public, than on Sarah Palin herself. It may also show that Americans are moving past the misinformation that is out there, and actually looking into Sarah’s record.

The question and answers from Rasmussen:

Do you have a very favorable, somewhat favorable, somewhat unfavorable or very unfavorable impression of Sarah Palin?

21% Very favorable

30% Somewhat favorable

14% Somewhat unfavorable

29% Very unfavorable

5% Not sure

Another question asks this:

Is Sarah Palin a divisive force in the Republican Party, or is she representative of a new direction for the party?

26% She is a divisive force in the Republican Party

41% She is representative of a new direction for the Republican Party

33% Not sure

Now this is an important question, as most feel the Republican party, as well as the democrat/communist party, has come off the rails. Being seen as a new direction for the party is certainly a good thing.

A separate Rasmussen Report, released Monday, November 16, 2009, finds that 59 percent of Republican voters feel Sarah shares their values:

Fifty-nine percent (59%) of Republican voters say former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin shares the values of most GOP voters throughout the nation.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 21% of Republican voters disagree and think the 2008 vice presidential candidate does not share their values. Twenty percent (20%) are undecided.

By contrast, 74% of Republicans say their party’s representatives in Congress have lost touch with GOP voters nationwide over the past several years. Only 18% of Republican voters believe their elected officials have done a good job representing the base.

The findings in these two surveys highlight the political debate within the Republican Party. Party leaders worry that Palin is pushing the GOP too far to the right to win general elections by aligning herself with Tea Party voters frustrated with both parties in Washington and the big government policies they have produced.

Still, just 18% of Republicans – and 26% of voters nationwide – see Palin as a divisive force within the GOP. A plurality believes Palin is representative of a new direction for the Republican Party. That view is held by 57% of Republicans and 41% of all voters. A plurality of Democrats aren’t sure what to think of Palin’s role within the opposing party.

Again, the story here is despite an all out assault by the corrupt state run media, Republicans feel that Sarah is basically one of them, someone who shares their values, feelings, and goals.

Bouncing that off the fact that these same voters think the GOP as a whole is going completely in the wrong direction, and a picture begins to form of where the voters would like to see America go, and who they would like to see take them there.

It’s also important to point out that these polls were taken before Sarah’s new book, Going Rogue, A American Life, has been in the public’s hands, or she started her media tour surrounding it. As more people see the real Sarah, her numbers can go nowhere but up.

We realize that the next Presidential election is three years away, a lifetime away in political terms, but the mid-term elections will kick into high gear in less than two months, and Sarah has stated that she plans to make an impact on those elections by endorsing candidates, and working with candidates who share her values. This polling indicates that anyone who receives Sarah’s support will likely receive the strong support of Republican voters, making Sarah the party’s king maker.

In contrast to all of this, Barack Obama continues to slide in the polls as Americans learn more about him, and actually experience his leadership, or lack there of.

In the latest Rasmussen tracking poll, Obama’s approval sits at 49 percent, with 51 percent disapproving.

27% Strongly Approve

39% Strongly Disapprove

49% Total Approve

51% Total Disapprove

In Rasmussen terms, this gives Obama a -12 in the “approval index.” Rasmussen takes the difference between those who strongly approve and strongly disapprove to come up with a “passion index.” Here too, Sarah betters Obama with a -8 between those with a very favorable and a very unfavorable.

Of course, the big thing here is the fact that while Obama is basically the media’s favorite son, and they carry his water quite well, covering up and failing to report many issues, or trying to down play them, while at the same time vilifying Sarah Palin like no candidate in modern history, Sarah still comes out on top.

To me, there is an important set of numbers, and a strong indicator that Sarah is winning the battle for hearts and minds. Some will look toonly the strongly approve and strongly favorable, and see that Obama looks better with 27 percent strongly approving vs 21 percent feeling very favorable towards Sarah.

But the big numbers to look at are these: While 29 percent of those polled have a very unfavorable opinion of Palin, 39 percent feel a strong disapproval for Barack Obama. A full 10 percent more of the voting public strongly disapprove of Obama vs Sarah.

Again, as Sarah is finally getting out there and letting America see the real person, not the caricature the media has invented, or the hamstrung version from McCain campaign, her polling numbers can only rise. America has had a good look at Obama, and doesn’t like what it sees. In my opinion, barring a complete and total change in policies and direction, which is highly unlikely, Obama’s numbers are not likely to recover.

As a final note, Rasmussen indicates a confidence rate of 95 percent on these polls. We tend to trust Rasmussen the most, because of their polling methods. Rasmussen polls “likely voters” which tends to be more accurate than polling “registered voters” or as many polls use “adults, ” which can give you wildly inaccurate results. Rasmussen has proven to be the most accurate in the last four election cycles, beginning in 2004.

Sarah Palin: Living In Barack Obama’s Head Rent Free

Posted by Gary P Jackson on November 5, 2009

Tuesday night the plans of Barack Obama and the democrat/communist party took some severe blows in New Jersey and Virginia. A strong message was sent by the American people that we are not pleased with Obama’s perverted vision for America. That he and his democrat/communist party are on the wrong track.

So who is the focus of White House greaseball David Axelrod? Sarah Palin!

That’s right, this supposed insignificant, washed up “quitter.” I mean that’s what the democrat/communists and their lap dogs in the media shout all day every day. For such an insignificant woman, Sarah sure does take up an incredible amount of the White House’s and the media’s air time on a daily basis!

Axelrod is proclaiming the White House is 2-0 against Sarah Palin after Tuesday’s elections in Virginia, New Jersey, and New York’s 23rd congressional district.

Now of course, they count the presidential loss by John McCain in this deal.

Looking back, the very second Sarah Palin stepped on the national stage Barack Obama and the democrat/communist party ceased to care about beating John McCain and went into full panic mode, followed by hyper attack mode, a mode that they are still in to this day!

The amount of gymnastics Obama and his team of Chicago street thugs and his Alaska Mafia have performed while trying to stop Sarah is nothing short of extraordinary. They have had their billionaire buddies fund schemes, they’ve coordinated with 3rd rate hate bloggers and so on. They’ve put the full force of the White House as well as their compliant media lackeys up against this supposedly insignificant, washed up moose hunter from Wasilla.

To borrow from Shakespeare, me thinks they doth protest too much!

Frankly, in politics, if your opponent is committing suicide you know the best thing to do is get out of their way and let them have at it. You certainly don’t break out in a cold sweat at the mere mention of her name!

If Sarah Palin was such a “disaster” these people would be promoting her, giving her soft ball interviews, and doing absolutely everything they could to make absolutely sure she was the GOP candidate in 2012.

Remember how John McCain was treated by a fawning media before he became the candidate, only to be attacked unmercifully by the same media once he had the nomination? Well, if Sarah was the “joke” they claim she is, that is the sort of treatment she would get.

You notice there is a distinct absence of attacks on Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee, the media anointed “front runners.” You don’t have people running around with their hair on fire screaming they have to stop these two! There is no “stop Mitt Romney (or Mike Huckabee) at all costs” mentality among the democrat/communists!

They know they can easily beat them!

Let’s look at the White House’s so called “glorious victory” over this insignificant housewife.

In NY 23 the White House put forth a maximum effort. Barack Obama himself hosted a fund raiser for Bill Owens. At the last minute they parachuted in hundreds of seasoned Obama campaign operatives. The DNC spent a ton of money.

Joe Biden was sent in the day before the election.

OK, that’s probably a net loss and a gain for Sarah because he made the mistake of “acting stupidly” while attacking Sarah. Biden basically set him up for one of the ‘Cuda’s signature smack downs! How does that song go…”You don’t tug on Superman’s cape…you don’t spit in the wind…..”

Comically, our Vice President spoke to a “huge” crowd of 250 people, 50 of which were media . For perspective, Sarah was in the same area this summer and drew over 20,000 locals.

Anyhow, back to NY-23.

Here’s what Doug Hoffman, and in the White House’s frantic mind, Sarah Palin faced. Doug Hoffman came into this special election unknown and poorly funded. His reasoning for the challenge was the fact that a backroom deal saw a candidate that was more radical than half of the democrat/communists in the NY Assembly being trotted out to run as a “Republican.”

Obviously, being a lifelong Conservative Republican, that just didn’t compute with accountant Doug Hoffman. Made no sense. This woman wasn’t just a democrat lite “moderate” she was a full on radical democrat/communist “progressive,” who it now appears was a plant, judging from her actions after she dropped out of the race.

Now seeing the situation, Conservative leaders nationwide took up Doug’s cause. Dick Armey and his Club For Growth were early supporters. Conservative icon Fred Thompson and his wife Jeri were strong supporters as well. In fact, Jeri was working incredibly hard behind the scenes doing whatever it took to get some support.

Then came Sarah’s endorsement. An unconditional, all in, full on support for Doug, from Facebook. On the strength of one posting on Facebook, hundreds of thousands of dollars started flooding into Hoffman’s campaign coffers in just one day. Doug went from a distant third to front runner status over night.

In the end, Doug was not able to overcome the damage done by DeDe Scozzafava, who was given some sort of deal by the White House (Rahm Emanuel himself spoke with her) to join the democrat/communist effort to stop Doug Hoffman.

In short, here’s how it went. You have Doug Hoffman, a mild mannered, camera shy, slightly nerdy, non politician accountant, turned American patriot, who went from unknown to within a couple of points of being a United States congressman.

The effort to defeat this man was enormous. You not only had the full force and effort of the White House, and Barack Obama coming to bear, you also had, up until the last days, the full force and efforts, as well as a reported $1 million from the Republican party to support the slug they picked, and attack Hoffman.

On top of that, you had this democrat/communist plant, “republican” poseur DeDe Scozzafava turning around, endorsing Bill Owens and campaigning for Bill Owens. Plus, a sycophantic national media totally in love with the President cheerleading all the way.

In the end, you have a great patriot, but inexperienced candidate who went from 18-20 percent in the polls to 46 percent in the real vote, based on the count as it now stands. (There are still absentee votes to count and several vote machines were impounded, which means there may have been some typical democrat/communist fraud)

The final “score” was Owens/Obama 49 and Hoffman/Palin 46. (I’m using the White House’s logic here)

Hmmm. To put this into perspective, since the White House wants this to be all about Sarah:

One the White Houses side, you had efforts by Obama, Biden, Emanuel, ACORN, Scozzafava, and the adoring media, plus highly experienced ground troops. Even better, in their efforts Obama and company were aided by a feckless Republican effort that saw an incredible amount of money thrown away, Newt Gingrich insulting the entire Conservative movement, and the GOP “machine” working to undermine Hoffman.

The extent of the “Hoffman/Palin effort” was a single post on Facebook from Sarah asking America to get behind the patriot from New York!

Yes, I know this is oversimplifying all of the hard work that followed on Doug’s behalf, but I’m using the White House’s logic here, so bear with me.

We have a maximum effort, a full court press by the White House, teamed up with a maximum effort, a full court press by the GOP, and they could only win this race by three points?

All of these big bad “political heavyweights” and they could only manage a nail biting squeaker against a hockey mom and her laptop posting on a social networking website from 4000 miles away!

Man, if these pathetic little people want to crow about that, I say let ‘em!

However, if we REALLY want to take their absurd premise further down the road, they look much, much worse. Using the White House’s own logic, that every race is a race against Sarah Palin, and no one else, let’s look at Virginia.

In Virginia Sarah was asked to record messages to voters for the get out the vote efforts. These “robocalls” were used to gin up support for all of the candidates. How did that turn out again?

Oh yeah, it was a blowout!

Not only did Republicans sweep all three top jobs, they did it big. All of them won with 15-20 plus point margins of victory!

Wanna keep score that way White House?

How about Sarah Palin 3 White House 1* (*with assist from the NRCC and the GOP)

Now we won’t even talk about the disastrous showing in New Jersey. Barack Obama all but moved to New Jersey in an effort to drag Jon Corzine across the finish line. Not only did the normal ACORN shenanigans take place, but it was found that elements of the DNC were actually funding efforts of the third party candidate Chris Daggett who was syphoning votes from the brand new Governor-elect, Chris Christie.

As Rush Limbaugh put it, Barack Obama losing in New Jersey is like Fidel Castro losing in Cuba!

No, Sarah didn’t put forth any efforts in New Jersey, but looking at her past efforts on the behalf of candidates, Christie might have won by a larger margin if she had!

The White House wants you to forget the very first Palin/Obama showdown of the hopenchange era. This battle took place before Obama even took office. I’m speaking, of course, about the Georgia runoff race for the U.S. Senate.

Georgia rules state someone must win by 50.1 percent of the vote, or there must be a runoff between the highest vote getters. This was a three man race, so incumbent Saxby Chamliss, the Republican, faced a challenge. Hopenchange fever was still in the air, and everyone was down there helping push for the democrat/communist candidate. On the Republican side, every name brand guy was there. All on both sides played to sparse crowds. It was a dead heat race according to the last poll taken going into the weekend before the vote.

Sarah Palin was dispatched to Georgia. She came in on a Sunday night and went to a fund raiser. The next day she held four rallies in support of Chambliss. The crowds were huge, and in the end, Saxby won a 16 point blowout! He loudly praised Sarah, talking her up to anyone who would listen!

Again, using White House logic, such that it is, that puts the score at Sarah Palin 4 White House 1*

Now I know the White House counts their win over McCain as a loss for Sarah, and yes, I guess it was, but oh man, McCain’s loss had nothing to do with the ‘Cuda. Every indication is she was worth 10-15 points in that contest to McCain. It was going to be a McCain loss of biblical proportions before Sarah joined the ticket. She drew incredible and enthusiastic crowds everywhere she went, where there were none before. She created an excitement that was nonexistent before.

It was an inept campaign, and a poor uninspiring top of the ticket that hurt McCain. The complete uselessness of those in the McCain campaign can never be overstated. But, again, using the White House’s own methodology, let’s give them a point.

Sarah Palin 4 White House 2*

Now, lets look at some facts, every single candidate that Sarah has been involved with since November 3, 2008 has seen incredible gains in their polling numbers. Every single candidate that Barack Obama has gotten involved with, except one, has seen massive losses.

Again, I’m using Obamalogic here, such that it is. Sarah campaigns for Chambliss and he gains 14-16 points. Sarah writes a Facebook post and Doug Hoffman gains anywhere from 24-28 percentage points, depending on which polling you look at.

That’s incredibly strong.

So far, an Obama endorsement is pretty much the kiss of death!

Let’s see, the guy takes his circus to Copenhagen to personally shill for his corrupt buddies in Chicago to help them get an Olympic date. Chicago was the first eliminated from consideration

Obama is all over Virginia, and loses huge, all three top jobs going to Republicans in a huge way. Obama all but takes up residence in Jon Corzine’s New Jersey guest room, and he loses the bluest state in the union!

Seems to me if you want at least a chance at winning an election, it’s Sarah Palin, not Barack Obama who you want on your side!

All of this incredibly silly gymnastics from the White House to somehow spin an epic loss on Tuesday into a win against Sarah Palin just shows you that she is living in their heads rent free!

Sarah has unpacked her bags, propped her feet up on their collective couch and is having a great time just toying with them. It’s breathtaking to watch!

Sarah Palin: The Cause Goes On

Posted by Gary P Jackson on November 4, 2009

Fresh from Wasilla:

A Victory for Common Sense and Fiscal Sanity

Congratulations to the new Governors-Elect of Virginia and New Jersey! I’d also like to offer a special word of support to the new Lieutenant Governor-Elect of New Jersey, Kim Guadagno, the first woman to hold that office.

Of course, the real victors in this election are the ordinary men and women who voted for positive change and a return to fiscal sanity. Your voices have been heard.

The race for New York’s 23rd District is not over, just postponed until 2010. The issues of this election have always centered on the economy – on the need for fiscal restraint, smaller government, and policies that encourage jobs. In 2010, these issues will be even more crucial to the electorate. I commend Doug Hoffman and all the other under-dog candidates who have the courage to put themselves out there and run against the odds.

To the tireless grassroots patriots who worked so hard in that race and to future citizen-candidates like Doug, please remember Reagan’s words of encouragement after his defeat in 1976:

“The cause goes on. Don’t get cynical because look at yourselves and what you were willing to do, and recognize that there are millions and millions of Americans out there that want what you want, that want it to be that way, that want it to be a shining city on a hill.”

The cause goes on.

– Sarah Palin

Hard to add to such eloquent words from both Palin and Reagan. Tonight was a great night. Obama style hopenchange was wildly rejected by voters in Virginia, where Conservatives swept in a land slide. And in New Jersey, where Obama himself campaigned on six different trips, the very blue state went red in a big way.

I don’t have video of Doug Hoffman’s concession speech yet, but I saw it on a live feed from the local television station. Very upbeat:

“This one was worth the fight,” “This is only one fight in the battle.”

____Doug Hoffman

His supporters were very upbeat as well. One supporter was heard to say: “Twelve Months.”

Hoffman and Conservatives around the nation sent a clear message to the GOP. No more squishes! Voters in NJ and Virginia sent a strong message to Barack Obama and the radical democrat/communist party as well.

The cause goes on.

Sarah Palin To Joe Biden: Hey Pal, You’re The One With The Radical (Non) Energy Policy!

Posted by Gary P Jackson on November 2, 2009

God bless Joe Biden, he truly is the gift that keeps on giving!

Chuck Graham, of course, is in a wheelchair!

Well, our Vice President has stepped in it again. Up in NY-23 today, while campaigning for democrat/communist candidate Bill Owens in front of a reportedly sparse crowd, Biden took a swing at Rush Limbaugh (naturally) and Sarah Palin He went at Sarah especially on energy:

“The fact of the matter is, Sarah Palin thinks the answer to energy is ‘drill, baby, drill,’” said Biden. “It’s a lot more complicated, Sarah!”

Wow, just wow. You have to wonder is Biden really this dumb? (I think we know the answer here) Or, does he think the typical democrat/communist voter is this dumb? (I think we know the answer to this as well, or Joe would still be a Senator!)

Now obviously, Sarah Palin, who was the Chairman of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, the very powerful regulatory body that regulates oil, natural gas, and mining in Alaska knows a thing or two about energy. For those that don’t know, as Governor, Sarah was also the Chairman of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission as well as the Natural Resources chair in the National Governors Association. Of all of the things Sarah Palin can talk about with great authority, energy is certainly at or very near the very top.

So with that in mind, Sarah has this for Joe Biden, via Facebook:

Response to Vice President Biden’s Comments Today About My Position On Energy Independence

As the vice president knows, I have always advocated an all-of-the-above approach to American energy independence. Among other things, my alternative energy goal for Alaska sits at 50 percent because Alaska reached more than 20 percent during my term in office. The Obama-Biden administration, on the other hand, recently announced a renewable goal of only 25 percent. However, domestic drilling should remain a top priority in order to meet America’s consumption and security needs.

The vice president’s extreme opposition to domestic energy development goes all the way back to 1973 when he opposed the Alaska pipeline bill. As Ann Coulter pointed out, “Biden cast one of only five votes against the pipeline that has produced more than 15 billion barrels of oil, supplied nearly 20 percent of this nation’s oil, created tens of thousands of jobs, added hundreds of billions of dollars to the U.S. economy and reduced money transfers to the nation’s enemies by about the same amount.”

This nonsensical opposition to American domestic energy development continues to this day. Apparently the Obama-Biden administration only approves of offshore drilling in Brazil, where it will provide security and jobs for Brazilians. This election is about American security and American jobs.

There’s one way to tell Vice President Biden that we’re tired of folks in Washington distorting our message and hampering our nation’s progress: Hoffman, Baby, Hoffman!

– Sarah Palin

Nice that Sarah got in the shot about Brazil!

As you know, just days after the self proclaimed “owner of the democrat party” Nazi collaborator, and criminal currency speculator, George Soros, bought controlling interest in Brazilian oil company Petrobas, Barack Obama “loaned” the oil giant $10 billion hard earned tax payer greenbacks!

When it comes to energy independence, Sarah Palin is very much someone who is an “all of the above approach” leader. Sarah has consistently advocated clean renewable energy, and put Alaska on a path to get 50 percent of it’s energy through renewables, exactly double the goal Barack Obama set for America as a whole!

Sarah is a big advocate of solar and wind, but understands we must also have nuclear as well as clean coal, natural gas, and yes, oil. No matter what “magic bullet” research may come up with, conventional sources of energy will be with us for generations to come.

Sarah Palin’s signature achievement as Governor of Alaska was AGIA which has led to the natural gas line that will be built from Alaska to the lower 48. Natural gas, quite simply, is the cleanest burning fuel there is. It’s not zero emissions, there is no such thing, but it’s clean enough that industries use CNG (compressed natural gas) powered machinery, such as fork lifts, indoors and in enclosed spaces, because of such low emissions.

This pipline, as it is being built, will be the largest construction project in North American history costing around $40 billion.

Contrast this with the real and true party of NO(!), the democrat/communist party of Joe Biden and Barack Obama. The democrat/communist party is against pretty much all forms of energy.

Oil and natural gas? Oh no, they’re “evil!”

Coal? Are you kidding? It’s the work of the Devil!

What about all of the “green energy” the party of NO(!) Is always carping about?

Nope, they don’t like it either! They have serious “not in my backyard syndrome.” And, when that doesn’t work, they come up with some environmental concern. The windmills aren’t very friendly to birds when the fly into them, and the enviro-nuts are going insane over some desert rat in the Mojave now that giant solar farms are proposed.

In other words, the party of NO(!) Has absolutely no real solutions. I’m shocked! Energy is the lifeblood of our society, the lifeblood of our economy. The way the democrat/communists act, you’d think the democrat/communists were deliberately trying to destroy America.

For America to get back on the road to prosperity, we must have serious energy independence. We must “drill baby drill” for oil and natural gas, but we also must use our abundant supplies of coal, as well as build more nuclear plants and continue to develop alternatives. We send between $700 billion and $1 trillion a year overseas purchasing crude oil. Think of what that would do for our economy if that all stayed here in America!

This is yet another reason we need to follow Sarah Palin’s lead and help elect serious common sense Conservatives, like Doug Hoffman, nation wide! No more pale pastels, we need bold colors, and bold leaders!

BTW, as a bonus, who could forget this classic bit of “brilliance” from Joe Biden! I mean this sums up the guy’s intellect perfectly!

The video is long-ish, but worth it. You Tube has managed to scrub all of the others that just have the “best part.”

As a set up, after Sarah mopped the floor with Biden at their debate, Perky Katie Couric did her part for the team by “helping” with damage control. It didn’t really help!

While riding on a train, Biden’s favorite form of transportation, Couric interviewed Biden at length. At one point, Biden gives us all a revised history lesson:

“When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the princes of greed. He said, ‘look, here’s what happened.”

One problem with “Uncle Joe’s” scenario here. When the stock market crashed in 1929, Herbert Hoover was President, having taken office in March of that year. (Inaugurals used to take place in March, rather than January) Franklin Roosevelt was still the Governor of New York, and didn’t take the Oath of Office, as President of the United States, until March of 1933.

Television, which was in it’s experimental infancy in 1929, was not around. The first commercial television license wasn’t granted until 1941, and it would be the 1950’s before televisions became a popular “must have” appliance. FDR, however, was the first President to appear on TV. It was during an experiment in 1939, ten years after the stock market crash.

For her part, Couric just sits and smiles, never correcting Mr Gaffetastic. If only she would have had one of the guys that John McCain passed over as his running mate write this interview for her!

What’s that you say? You didn’t know? Remember the Sarah Palin interview the “Perky One” did? Well, she’s not much brighter than Biden, so she had help. Sam Nunn, who was passed over for Biden as Obama’s VP choice, coached Couric extensively before she interviewed Sarah. He came up with a series of “gotcha” questions for Katie to ask, including: “What newspapers do you read?”

Exit question, who do you really trust on energy, Joe Biden and the party of NO(!) Or Sarah Palin who has extensive energy industry experience?

The folks in Upstate New York may have the answer! As I linked to above, Biden spoke his nonsense to a “crowd” of 250 people, 50 of those being from the media. When Sarah was in Upstate New York earlier in the year, she drew 20,000.
