Governor Palin Calls Out Rahm Emanuel’s ‘Chicago Thuggery’

Posted by Adrienne Ross on July 26, 2012

By Adrienne Ross –

One of the many things I respect about Governor Palin is her boldness. While others cower in corners, she is relentless in her willingness to take a stand and not be bullied. In this regard, as in most others, she is head and shoulders above many so-called leaders on both the left and the right.

With the recent attacks on Chick-fil-A, Todd Starnes touched base with the Governor who called out Rahm Emanuel and his thuggery:

“Chicago thuggery is a scary thing in 2012,” Palin told me. “For its politicians to think they can muscle businesses and shut them out just because they hold a differing, albeit traditional, view on an issue is a scary thing indeed.”

Emanuel said he would support banning the construction of a second Chicago-area Chick-fil-A because the company’s owner believes in the biblical definition of marriage — meaning a union of one man and one woman.

“Chick-fil-A values are not Chicago values,” Emanuel said in a statement to Fox News.

Palin balked at the threats to ban the private, family-owned restaurant from the Windy City.

“With a representative of Chicago politics making these threats, I’d be loathe to support any politician hailing from Chicago who supported Rahm and this radical action.”

Palin said the owner of Chick-fil-A is opposed to redefining the traditional definition of marriage — as are most Americans who’ve voted on the issue.

She said President Obama — until recently — opposed redefining the traditional definition of marriage. He evolved on the issue “when it became politically convenient for him to flip-flop around on.”

“Did these protesters oppose President Obama,” Palin asked.

“The leftwing’s double standard with intolerance of other people’s opinions is quite tiring, yet so expected,” she added. “This is merely more of the same.”

We already know what the left will say concerning Governor Palin’s comments, but they are wrong once again. This has nothing to do with hatred or bias. It has everything to do with standing up for what one believes and standing against politicians’ intrusion into private business and their intolerance of those who don’t share their perspective. This attack campaign merely provides another example of the blatant hypocrisy in the ranks of the left wing. As Governor Palin pointed out, how interesting it is that the left didn’t withhold their support of President Obama, with whom they are so enamored, who was against gay marriage before he was for it. Even more interesting is how the left hardly has a word to say about the fact that the black community, in large numbers, still does not–and will not–support gay marriage; that never seems to draw much criticism, either. I wonder why that is. Could they be afraid that their number one tactic will work against them? Calling out the black community might make them “racists.”

“Chick-fil-A values are not Chicago values,” Emanuel said. Well, they are the values of a vast majority of Americans, and people do not take kindly to being pushed around by a Chicago–yes, she said it–thug. Good on you, Governor, for calling it as it is.

Katie Couric & the Lamestream Media

Posted by Adrienne Ross on March 23, 2010

By Adrienne Ross –

When Katie Couric interviewed Governor Palin during the 2008 campaign, America saw a badgering piranha who had a clear agenda. That agenda was not to be fair and balanced and facilitate an interview that would allow the American people to hear from the governor and then make up their minds about her. It was not to present the truth in honest journalistic fashion. Her whole agenda seemed to be to demean, deride, and hound the governor right out of the gate on one issue in particular: abortion. Throughout the interview she looked condescendingly at Governor Palin, blinking wildly, obviously put off by this Republican woman with the unmitigated temerity to be unapologetically pro-life. Then she edited, spliced, and released something that misrepresented the interview. She might very well be the actual impetus for the phrase that has gained such notoriety since those elections: lamestream media.

Contrast her treatment of Governor Palin to her treatment Sunday of Rahm Emanuel, President Obama’s Chief of Staff. Couric could barely keep from smiling, and might as well have put him on her lap, rocked him back and forth, and told him to blow while she wiped his nose. Was this an interview or was this Mommy taking care of Baby? I know spring is here, but it’s a bit early still for softball. Couric was full of smiles as she interviewed Obama’s right hand man. She might as well have held his hand.

Anybody with even one eye can see that the media is in the tank for Obama. There’s no surprise there. When we get a chance to see something like this, though, we have to wonder if they even have the sense to pretend–you know, to do a little acting so their agenda is not so obvious. Perhaps Katie could have stopped smiling long enough to provide even the appearance of being something other than an obsessive liberal partisan.

I’m not suggesting that Emanuel should have been given the same treatment Governor Palin received. Katie’s behavior during that particular interview was, frankly, embarrassing as she beat Governor Palin over the head twelve times on the issue of abortion. The governor wrote on page 277 of Going Rogue, “I began to feel like I was in the movie Groundhog Day.” Yet during a time of various serious national issues, health care being one of them, Ms. Couric couldn’t stop smiling long enough to even feign nonpartisanship while having tea with Emanuel. I suppose that’s her modus operandi when dealing with the Left, though. After all, Joe Biden told her that FDR was president when the stock market crashed and that he talked about it on television, yet Katie said nothing. Maybe she didn’t know to correct him. I wonder what she reads.

No surprise people like Katie Couric are losing their credibility with the people. More and more Americans are resenting the lamestream media’s attack on their intelligence as they refuse to be fair and balanced in their reports. Our patience is increasingly declining, which might explain Couric’s declining ratings.

Below are clips from her interviews with Governor Palin and Rahm Emanuel.

Sarah Palin To Barack Obama: “Hey Pal, It’s Time For Rahm Emanuel To Go!”

Posted by Gary P Jackson on February 2, 2010

By every account Rahm Emanuel is a nasty little man with a bad temper and a chip on his shoulder. Your basic Chicago street thug. A little bully in the finest traditions of mobsters like Al Capone. It’s no wonder that he fits in so well with his Chicago street thug boss.

You see, Rahm Emanuel, the petite ballerina, is Barack Obama’s chief-of-staff. He’s the guy that basically run’s Obama’s agenda. Now granted, even in good times, with a capable president, not an easy job. But most men who have had this job have been able to perform it with a sense of dignity, and even style. But not old Rahm “dead fish” Emanuel.

Emanuel got this nickname, by the way, because he actually mailed a dead fish a pollster who didn’t give him the results he wanted. Hmm, didn’t the white House just attack pollster Scott Rasmussen? I’ve got a revolutionary idea for you Rahm: How about instead of attacking the messenger, you figure out a way for Obama not to suck at his job!

To give you a little taste of what Rahm is about Foreign Policy ran a story a while back on “The five most infamous Rahm Emanuel moments.

Today, former Clinton advisor and Illinois Rep. Rahm Emanuel accepted Barack Obama’s offer to be chief of staff for the incoming president.

The pick of Emanuel is our first glimpse into the future Obama White House, and it has already thrown apprehensive Democrats and jaded Republicans alike into a tizzy.

Perhaps for good reason. With the nickname “Rahmbo” and a disposition likened to that of a mobster, Emanuel, though widely respected for his moxy and get-it-done record, isn’t exactly Mr. Nice Guy. A dynamic mix of talent and brawn — he was offered a scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet company and volunteered for the Israeli Army during the Gulf War — Emanuel’s the real-deal pitbull Democrat (lipstick not included).

What follows is a list of the five most infamous Rahmbo tales. It’s the stuff legends are made of:

1. Mailing a Dead Fish

Emanuel is known for his panache for treating donors right. He sends them cheesecakes from Eli’s, the famous Chicago bakery. But the one pollster who notoriously ticked off Rahmbo received a 2 1/2 foot decomposing fish in the mail — ripe, stinky, and to the point.

2. Fundraising the Bugsy Siegel Way

His foray into fundraising started in Chicago while campaigning for Mayor Richard Daley’s reelection, when Emanuel raised a record number of donations. His sales pitch was simple enough: He’d tell contributors he found their offers so low it was embarrassing and then hang up on them. Mortified, the donors were shamed into calling back and giving more.

3. Nearly Losing His Finger

When he was a senior in high school, he sliced his finger while working at Arby’s. But instead of seeking medical attention, he decided to celebrate prom night by swimming in Lake Michigan. The bone and blood infection that resulted was so severe it practically killed him. Scrappy and determined, even at death’s door with a fever of 106 degrees, he pulled through, only losing part of his finger.

4. Threatening Tony Blair

Never a mincer of words, Emanuel didn’t couch his meaning when he offered Tony Blair counsel just before the then British prime minister appeared with President Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky scandal: “This is important. Don’t f@ck it up.”

5. Knifing the Dinner Table

The most infamous Rahmbo story of them all is the one that begins with the dinner the night after Bill Clinton was elected in 1992. Among those present at the dinner table was ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos, who watched while an overwrought and clearly exhausted Emanuel began ranting at a long list of Clinton “enemies.” As he shouted each name, he stabbed the table with his steak knife: “Nat Landow! Dead! Cliff Jackson! Dead!” Apparently, others joined in.

The bottom line: If Emanuel’s appointment is a signal of anything, it is that the genteel, arugula-eating president-elect is coming to play hardball.

This guy reads like a true psychopath. (Of course, so do most of Obama’s people) Not sure which is more insane though, the dead fish story or the stabbing the table story.

By the way, psychopathic behavior runs in the family, as Rahm’s brother, Ezekiel is none other than the infamous “Dr Death” Obama’s “health care advisor” who literally wrote the book on setting up the “death panels” that Sarah Palin made famous last summer. A real sick man. You can read more here.

So why is Sarah Palin upset at Rahmbo? Let’s read on, shall we:

Are You Capable of Decency, Rahm Emanuel?

The newly-released mind-boggling, record-smashing $3,400,000,000,000 federal budget invites plenty of opportunity to debate the merits of incurring more and more debt that will drown the next generation of Americans. Never has it been possible to spend your way out of debt. So… let the debate begin.

Included in the debate process will be opportunities for our president to deliberate internally the wisdom of this debt explosion, along with other economic, military and social issues facing our country. Our president will discuss these important issues with Democrat leaders and those within his inner circle. I would ask the president to show decency in this process by eliminating one member of that inner circle, Mr. Rahm Emanuel, and not allow Rahm’s continued indecent tactics to cloud efforts. Yes, Rahm is known for his caustic, crude references about those with whom he disagrees, but his recent tirade against participants in a strategy session was such a strong slap in many American faces that our president is doing himself a disservice by seeming to condone Rahm’s recent sick and offensive tactic.

The Obama Administration’s Chief of Staff scolded participants, calling them, “F—ing retarded,” according to several participants, as reported in the Wall Street Journal.

Just as we’d be appalled if any public figure of Rahm’s stature ever used the “N-word” or other such inappropriate language, Rahm’s slur on all God’s children with cognitive and developmental disabilities – and the people who love them – is unacceptable, and it’s heartbreaking.

A patriot in North Andover, Massachusetts, notified me of Rahm’s “retarded” slam. I join this gentleman, who is the father of a beautiful child born with Down Syndrome, in asking why the Special Olympics, National Down Syndrome Society and other groups condemning Rahm’s degrading scolding have been completely ignored by the White House. No comment from his boss, the president?

As my friend in North Andover says, “This isn’t about politics; it’s about decency. I am not speaking as a political figure but as a parent and as an everyday American wanting my child to grow up in a country free from mindless prejudice and discrimination, free from gratuitous insults of people who are ostensibly smart enough to know better… Have you no sense of decency, sir?

Mr. President, you can do better, and our country deserves better.

– Sarah Palin

I’m with Sarah on this one. Of course I’m not sure if she’ll get much of a response from a guy who said this:

I’m sure Obama gets this honestly. After all, he’s from a degenerate movement, the “progressive” movement which brought us such lovely people as Margaret Sanger, the Ku Klux Klanner who brought us Planned Parenthood and said this of the disabled:

More children from the fit, less from the unfit — that is the chief aim of birth control.

—Birth Control Review, May 1919, p. 12

She also said this:

The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.”

—Margaret Sanger, Women and the New Race (Eugenics Publ. Co., 1920, 1923)

Then, of course, there is Rahm’s brother, Dr Death, who says medical care should be reserved for the non-disabled:

not given to those “who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens . . . An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia

—(Hastings Center Report, Nov.-Dec. ’96).

In contrast, from all of that ugliness, here is a video Sarah made for the 2009 Special Olympics. Quite a different outlook.

I understand where Sarah is coming from here. Thanks to the “progressive” movement, we have becme a society that no longer values human life and actually looks down on those with any sort of disability, as burdens on society.

Somewhere between 80 to 90 percent of women who are told their babies will be born with Downs Syndrome chose to kill their babies rather than give birth. This is a real tragedy, but just part of what modern “progressive” living has brought us.

In the end, this isn’t just about the hateful ramblings from a truly disgusting little man. No, this is about a society, and a political movement that has been destroying our nation, and the values it was built on, for over a century. It’s time for the entire “progressive” movement to be dismantled and destroyed. Time to send this vile and disgusting ideology into that big old dumpster full of failed, evil dogma in the sky!

Sending Rahm Emanuel packing is a good place to start the house cleaning!

Political Opponents or Political Enemies?

Posted by vegans4palin on August 7, 2009

America will have a stark choice in the 2010 and 2012 elections. Reward those who treat their political opponents with respect, or side with heavy-handed bullies who treat their opponents like enemies. On the right, Governor Palin speaks with Alaskans protesting her actions. On the left, Jim Messina, Deputy Chief of Staff to Rahm Emanuel. He is the White House Representative who told Democratic Senators at a closed-doors meeting on Health Care Communications Strategy, “If you get hit, we’ll punch back twice as hard.” Though he may have been referring to competing political ads, the White House attitude toward opponents comes though loud and clear.

John Sweeney calling on union members to show up at town meetings shows the Dems willingness to intimidate rather than persuade. And surely persuasion doesn’t come easily to a President who likes to let others work out the details of his proposals. All the better if evasion is your main message.
