Sarah Palin to Endorse Steve Lonegan in NJ Special Election

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on October 2, 2013

Lonegan-Campaign-Sign_2013As reported by NJ.com earlier this evening:

Sarah Palin, the former Republican vice presidential candidate and Alaska governor, is set to become the latest conservative to endorse Steve Lonegan in New Jersey’s special U.S. Senate race, The Star-Ledger has learned. Lonegan, a conservative Republican activist running against Democratic Newark Mayor Cory Booker, said his campaign will officially announce the news Thursday morning.

Palin will not visit New Jersey for the announcement, nor is she scheduled to stump for Lonegan here, the campaign said.

“She’s doing a big push for me through Facebook and Twitter,” Lonegan said. “It helps to ignite even more money coming in (to the campaign). It will help galvanize more attention to this national race.”

Lonegan, the former mayor of Bogota, has been facing an uphill battle against Booker, a celebrity politician in a heavily Democratic state. The two are running in the Oct. 16 election to fill the final 14 months of the U.S. Senate term vacated after Frank Lautenberg’s death. More

Palin to Appear “On The Record” Tonight, 10pm Eastern

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on July 26, 2013

greta_sarah2

Tune in to  “On The Record” tonight at 10:00 p.m.  Eastern when Sarah Palin will  join Greta Van Susteren to discuss all of the president’s “phony scandals”

From Palin’s Facebook page:

I’ll be on Greta’s “On the Record” tonight talking about Obama’s “phony scandals” claim. The Democrat Party’s leadership is obviously a lost cause, but take note that the GOP’s out of touch hierarchy is disappointingly not doing the job of calling Obama out and holding the media’s feet to fire, and consequently Obama gets away with claiming that these very serious government scandals are “phony.” They have the mic, but they selfishly don’t use it to call out corruption and incompetence. They’d rather be “liked” by the media. This is a business to them, not a cause. Of course, ten second soundbites aren’t conducive to explaining all of this, but I’ll try.

Palin: IRS Official to Plead Fifth

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on May 21, 2013

Palin_Bakersfield10_1009

Posted to Governor Palin’s Facebook page:

IRS official to plead the Fifth to avoid embarrassment or burden? But no worries about citizens’ embarrassment or burden while being targeted.

Palin then linked to this ABC article:

Lois Lerner, the top IRS official who is at the center of the controversy for the targeting of tea party and other conservative groups, will refuse to answer questions at a congressional hearing Wednesday and invoke her Fifth Amendment rights, ABC News has learned.

She is set to appear before the House Oversight Committee.  Congressional aides said today that they received a notice from Lerner’s lawyers that she would not answer their questions because it is now part of a criminal investigation.

“She has not committed any crime or made any misrepresentation, but under the circumstances she has no choice but to take this course,” according to a letter that her lawyer, William Taylor, sent to Rep. Darrell Issa, chairman of the committee, which was first reported by the Los Angeles Times.  More

Boortz: Why the Liberal Hatred of Citizens With Guns

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on February 14, 2013

Sarah Palin shared the following Townhall article by Neil Boortz via her Facebook page earlier today:

You’re snug in your cabin in the mountains outside of Big Bear, California. Snug, but fearful. They’re searching for a killer near you. A terrifying, heavily armed former cop from Los Angeles who has gone on a killing rampage.

Suddenly you hear gunshots. You part the curtains to look outside … and there’s the man whose picture you’ve seen countless times on TV over the past few days running toward your house as he returns fire to police officers in pursuit.

Just a few weeks ago you had been considering buying an AR-15 just in case it might be needed to defend your home from predators of the two and the four-legged variety. They don’t call the place Big Bear for nothing. You couldn’t buy one, though, because private ownership of these weapons had been outlawed. That didn’t stop the killer. He was carrying one … that along with several pistols. The law didn’t seem to deter him at all. The murderer was still far enough away that you could stop him with one shot through your window, but that option had been taken away by anti-gun zealots.

Somehow you don’t feel comfortable with only your handgun and it’s seven-shot magazine to protect you from this approaching danger. You know the killer, who is rapidly nearing your door, is much more heavily armed than you. Things aren’t looking all that rosy for you and your family right now.

Why did this have to happen? Why were these liberals — these Democrats — so hell-bent on reducing your capacity to act in your own self-defense in a situation just such as this?  More

Palin: Offer to Renew FOX Contract Reportedly Declined

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on January 25, 2013

hannity_sarah2Supporters of Sarah Palin knew that her contract with FOX was set to expire at the end of 2012 but over the last three weeks absolutely nothing was leaked regarding those contract negotiations.  Today, that all changed with breaking news from Real Clear Politics:

Sarah Palin Parts Ways With FOX News

After a three-year run as a paid contributor to the nation’s highest-rated cable news channel, Sarah Palin and FOX News have cut ties, according to a source close to the former Alaska governor.

“It’s my understanding that Gov. Palin was offered a contract by FOX, and she decided not to renew the arrangement,” the source close to Palin told RCP. “She remains focused on broadening her message of common-sense conservatism across the country and will be expanding her voice in the national discussion.”

The source declined to say whether Palin would pursue a television contract with another news network, such as CNN.

Bill Shine, Executive Vice President at FOX, subsequently issued a statement to the New York Times confirming the news, saying, “We have thoroughly enjoyed our association with Governor Palin. We wish her the best in her future endeavors.”  More

Palin: Mourdock For Indiana

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on April 27, 2012

Governor Sarah Palin offers up one of her first endorsements for the 2012 election cycle.  In a Facebook note posted moments ago, Palin urges commonsense conservatives to get behind the Richard Mourdock senatorial campaign.

I join commonsense conservatives in endorsing Richard Mourdock to be the next Senator from Indiana. Conservatives of all stripes are uniting behind Richard Mourdock. It’s not just Indiana that benefits from sending the right Senator to serve for the right reasons; the nation as a whole benefits, and that is one reason why the eyes of so many around the nation are focused on the Indiana race.

Indiana deserves a conservative in the Senate who will fight for the Hoosier State, uphold our Constitution, and not just go along to get along with the vested interests of the permanent political class in D.C.

Richard Mourdock is the conservative choice for Indiana. Senator Lugar’s 36 years of service as a Senator are appreciated, but it’s time for the torch to pass to conservative leadership in Washington that promises to rein in government spending now.

Get the facts here. Learn more about Richard Mourdock at www.richardmourdock.com and follow him on Facebook and Twitter.
