Palin: CNN, We Want Truth in Reporting

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on April 7, 2013

Sarah Palin, via her Facebook page, calls out the lame-stream media again.

CNN: it’s no wonder your ratings still aren’t matching competitors. American viewers are smarter than you assume, and we simply want truth in reporting.

Please see the article linked below. Wolf Blitzer’s recent coverage of this story really was blisteringly dishonest. First, because he didn’t reach out to me or the SarahPAC staff for rebuttal. Second, because he failed to disclose the anti-tea party associations of the “architect” of this story whose organization is a competitor of my efforts to advance the candidacies of genuine grassroots conservatives – not those handpicked by the permanent political class. As the article explains, in my recent CPAC speech I gulped and denounced the consultants who engage in campaign hopping and have made a racket out of multi-million dollar failures each election cycle for themselves and their cronies. What a shame CNN continues to plug away in a floundering direction with reports like this. The shame is that they employ some top-notch reporters who no doubt believe in truth in journalism, but examples like this diminish the good reporters’ good efforts.

As a side note, I find it interesting that CNN recently disclosed that their old “Crossfire” show might hit their airwaves again. Wasn’t CNN among those who issued blistering criticism about the use of a “crossfire” icon in 2010 to represent political districts we wished to see represented by commonsense conservatives? CNN, among others, implied that using a “crossfire” icon (which was a tactic first employed by Democrats to illustrate political maps of districts they “targeted” to win) was inciting violence.

Anti-Tea Party No Labels Co-founder Unleashes Attack on Sarah Palin

Big Gulp Lady Liberty AP

John Avlon, the co-founder of the anti-Tea Party No Labels group, wrote a bizarre attack piece on Sarah Palin’s lean political action committee last week after completely misconstruing what Palin said at the Conservative Political Action Conference. At CPAC, the former Alaska governor and Tea Party leader denounced the permanent political class and urged Republicans to “furlough” the consultants.

Palin railed against consultants and those who need them for stories–like Avlon, who, along with those like Mark McKinnon, feigns objectivity while pushing the “No Labels” agenda that is mutually exclusive with that of conservatives and Tea Partiers. Those like Avlon often bash influential Tea Party conservatives like Palin to pay tribute to their liberal mainstream media masters, who then reward them with dutiful pats on the head and television appearances for him to peddle his “centrist” books the country does not care about, will not read, and certainly has no intention of buying.

More importantly, though, Avlon and the No Labels crowd are directly threatened by the rise of conservatives and Tea Partiers, and they want to do everything they can do diminish the person who serves as a successful spokeswoman and clearinghouse for conservative and Tea Party candidates.

Never in Palin’s CPAC speech, which Avlon references heavily in his less than substantive article, did she say a politician cannot have advisers. There is a huge difference between a politician’s staff who work almost exclusively for a politician and consultants who look for a new roster of candidates every election cycle.  More

Sarah Palin: This Is What Happens When Our Constitution Starts Shaking Her Fist

Posted by Gary P Jackson on October 23, 2010

By Gary P Jackson

Sarah Palin weighed in hard on Thursday over the despicable firing of Juan Williams by taxpayer funded NPR, calling on Congress to defund this house organ of the political left.

She’s also burning up the keys on her BlackBerry © as well, and tweeted this profound statement.

NPR & LSM: you’re shocked at public outrage over your censorship of Juan? This is what happens when our Constitution starts shaking her fist

Once again, our Constitution protects all speech, not just the speech we agree with. Agreeable speech really needs no protection, does it?

This entire episode is yet another shining example of the huge myth that says the left is “loving,” “accepting,” and “tolerant.” The left only tolerates that which is in total lock step (goose step?) with it’s radical agenda. Any deviation will be dealt with swiftly, and harshly.

Leave it to the “lame” stream media

Posted by Denise Spencer on December 1, 2009

Sarah Palin’s latest Facebook note say it all:

“It’s really comical at this point! Despite all of the important events happening in the world today – the president’s speech tonight on the strategy in Afghanistan, the Senate debate over health care reform, the disturbing details of the “Climategate” scandal, the continuing challenges facing the world economy – the media is concerned about my travel and lodging arrangements on my book tour?! Does this sound familiar? It should. The media showed the same out-of-proportion obsession with my personal arrangements, clothes, and hairstyles last year instead of focusing on the crucial issues involving the election.

So what is this news “story”? That I fly on an airplane to complete some of the stops on my book tour when it’s impractical or physically impossible to reach the next event on time by bus. Some news outlets are behaving as if my travel was a secret that they didn’t know about – despite the fact that I’ve tweeted about my flights and at least one local newspaper reported on the arrival of my flight into Rochester, NY. What’s even funnier is that these same media outlets think it’s shocking that we stay in hotels. I guess they expected us to pitch a tent alongside the road. We love the great outdoors, but such an arrangement is hardly practical for a book tour. Using common sense, it was determined that traveling by plane between some stops would save time and energy and allow me to go to more events. Economically speaking for HarperCollins, it’s more efficient to travel by charter, and I am very grateful to the publisher for providing my family and me with this incredible opportunity to shake hands with as many Americans as possible on this book tour.

If you’re scratching your head wondering why my flight and hotel logistics warrant news coverage, join the club. They can, of course, report on whatever they like, but in my opinion CBS loses whatever professional integrity it still has when it links in its report to a website devoted to the bizarre conspiracy theory that I’m not the real mother of my son Trig.

I’m truly humbled by the response to my book tour by everyday Americans, and if traveling by plane means that I can meet more of these wonderful people, I’ll travel by plane (or bus or train or canoe or dog sled or whatever it takes). Please enjoy the photos below!

Why in the world is this news??? It still amazes me that the “lame” stream media refuses to report the details of the health care debate and calls critics “tea baggers” but they will not report news worthy information about Sarah Palin. Her book has gone platinum in just two weeks and another printing has been ordered by Harper Collins. But all they want to focus on is their view of her travel. That it was publicized as a book tour when she is flying! Get real!
