Palin: Let’s Talk About the Real Issues, Mr. President

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on March 12, 2012

Fort Wasilla 1  –  Whitehouse 0

Moments ago, Sarah Palin posted a scorching note to her Facebook page that’s directed at President Obama and his failed policies.

From Sarah Palin’s Facebook page:

The far Left continues to believe American voters are not smart enough to grasp the diversionary tactics it employs to distract us from the issues our President just doesn’t want to talk about – issues that affect us all every day and must be addressed.

Exhibit A in these diversionary tactics is an absurd new attack ad President Obama has released taking my comments out of context. I’m not running for any office, but I’m more than happy to accept the dubious honor of being Barack Obama’s “enemy of the week” if that includes the opportunity to debate him on the issues Americans are actually concerned about. (Remember when I said you don’t need a title to make a difference?)

Just off the top of my head, a few of these concerning issues include: a debt crisis that has us hurdling towards a Greek-style collapse, entitlement programs going bankrupt, a credit downgrade for the first time in our history, a government takeover of the health care industry that makes care more expensive and puts a rationing panel of faceless bureaucrats between you and your doctor (aka a “death panel”), $4 and $5 gas at the pump exacerbated by an anti-drilling agenda that rejects good paying energy sector jobs and makes us more dependent on dangerous foreign regimes, a war in Afghanistan that seems unfocused and unending, a global presidential apology tour that’s made us look feeble and ridiculous, a housing market in the tank, the longest streak of high unemployment since World War II, private-sector job creators and industry strangled by burdensome regulations and an out-of-control Obama EPA, an attack on the Constitutional protection of religious liberty, an attack on private industry in right-to-work states, crony capitalism run amok in an administration in bed with their favored cronies to the detriment of genuine free market capitalism, green energy pay-to-play kickbacks to Obama campaign donors, and a Justice Department still stonewalling on a bungled operation that armed violent Mexican drug lords and led to the deaths of hundreds of innocent people.  More

SarahPAC: Here They Go Again…

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on February 17, 2012

By now you have probably seen the advertisement on television for the HBO film “Game Change” which is based upon a book bearing the same name.  It goes without saying (but i will) that this film is yet another attempt to  portray Governor Sarah Palin in a negative light.  Interesting.  Some three and one-half years after her unsuccessful run for Vice President of the United States and after declaring Palin as irrelevant at every turn, somehow it is STILL necessary to defame her record. This definitely falls under the category as “things that make you go hmmmm”.

Today, SarahPAC posted the following in response to “Game Change”:

“I haven’t seen HBO’s latest effort at manipulating history. However, based upon the description and reports from people who have viewed the film Game Change, HBO has distorted, twisted and invented facts to create a false narrative and attract viewers. They call it a docu-drama, there is little “docu” in it. HBO must add a disclaimer that this movie is fiction.” -Tim Crawford, Treasurer SarahPAC

Pay channel HBO has produced another docudrama based on the political arena. This time it is a subscription-only television movie sensationalizing 40 pages of a three-year-old book about the 2008 presidential election. The real 2008 Election was an incredible, moving experience that brought together the nation to celebrate our democracy. HBO has taken that experience and twisted it into tabloid drama for its own profit.

The docudrama Game Change has not been released, but the content and clips available and scenes as reported by the media make it clear that HBO studio heads decided they would generate more profit by inventing facts and scenes for the purpose of fictionalizing a history written by people with no personal knowledge of the situations they attempt to depict.

After viewing the Game Change trailers purporting to show actual events from the campaign, we sifted through over 2,000 behind-the-scenes photos of actual events, people and moments.

Below is an inside look at those moments which were captured from September to November 2008 and encompass over 95 rallies in 19 states, three major policy speeches, numerous town halls, four meetings with Blue Star Moms, two hockey games and as many unscheduled stops as we were able to fit in the schedule.  More

Oh, and if you’re interested in a real game changer of a film, I highly recommend “The Undefeated”.

Death by Facebook for Sarah Palin

Posted by Karen Allen on June 7, 2010

Cross-posted from Palintwibe.com:

About a week ago, I posted here samples of hate filled and violent threat tweets toward Governor Sarah Palin. It was not a pleasurable thing to do, but people need to be made aware, especially since Governor Palin has been accused of being hate inciting. The “love everyone and let’s just get along” crowd of the left feels warm and accepting toward every critter and human alive, minus a few select outspoken conservatives, with the main target of their hate being Sarah Palin.

It’s truly astonishing how such people that would consider themselves sane and loving can spew such vitrolic acid from their fingertips and mouths. Just what has Governor Palin and her family done to them personally? How can they wish death and give clear cut methods of achieving it with no remorse or second thought?

Does not Governor Palin have freedom of speech guaranteed to all citizens of the United States of America? Yet, I have never heard or seen anything said or written by her that called for anyone she disagreed with in the world of politics to be killed. And like it or not, I cannot call the cries for her dead body to be tortured and screwed into the oil spill as a plug “free speech” by any sane American.

What? You didn’t hear about that? I found out because TIME magazine’s online news feed page had a story on it. Check out this Facebook page and see for yourself. It calls for “two birds to be killed with one stone” on the information page. At the time of this writing, the group numbers 119,656, fans of the page 1,000,000 People Who Want to Plug the BP Oil Spill with Sarah Palin.

Sound ha, ha, funny? Not if you read the info and wall comments. I certainly hope that the Facebook community reports and flags this page enough to pull it. Facebook itself would do well to avoid any kind of liability or reputation issues by shutting it down quickly. Copycat pages are already popping up like here and here. They should all be eradicated, along with any other FB pages that suggest any person be used in that manner, not just Governor Palin.

If this particular site is gone before you get there to do your good duty of reporting it, take a gander at some screenshots. I call this the WALL OF SHAME. And to any of the fans of that page that may chance to stop by here:  Your mama should wash your mouths out with Lava Soap and send you to military school.

Was that too violent? I was taught not to say some things.

Oh, and one more thing….it’s all about the money, baby. The page’s creator has a Cafe Press store too. Yeah, they even sell stuff for the kiddies. Sick.

Warning: Language Advisory

There are plenty more examples, but you get the gist. Please report and flag this page and similar ones. It is people like these that are making our country a dangerous and divided place. May God help us all.

Sarah Palin: America’s Duct Tape

Posted by Karen Allen on May 20, 2010

I am sure over the next few days there will be far more eloquent and talented authors than myself who will be able to articulate the gargantuan of a canyon our president continues to carve in the middle of America’s heartland. What started as a crack has turned into a gorge of division that our nation has not experienced in a long time. Sometimes, a shake up is necessary….this however, is a shakedown.

I was horrified…yes, an appropriate word…to watch today as our president stood shoulder to shoulder with Mexican president Felipe Calderon and effectively became a turncoat against a part of our Union. When did it become acceptable for a president of the United States of America to join another country in tearing down and degrading one of our own member states? It just feels treasonous to me.

It’s been debated whether any of the critics of the Arizona immigration law SB1070 have even read it in full. It’s only fifteen pages…far less than the two thousand plus of the health reform bill. Why don’t some of our elected officials and their paid staff take a minute between tee times and extramarital affairs to find out what the heck is going on in America? I’d love to see a reality show where the citizens of Arizona take a DC hack to the field and let him or her experience the violence and fear of living beneath a reign of terror due to illegal invasions. This is not about preventing some poor Mexicans from working on farms…this is about national security with a gaping border allowing drug cartels and terrorists from other countries free access. Seriously, what is wrong with our president?!

When Governor Palin said, “Politically, if I die, I die,” it was with the understanding that even if she never ran for an office again, it wasn’t going to stop her from standing up on her soapbox, wherever it might be stationed. I’m thankful for that and how she has stood up for the state of Arizona and their right to protect themselves, with no apology. She isn’t alone. There are many in the same fight for our country, and she is quick to acknowledge them. One thing though that has been distinct in Governor Palin’s approach is how she has been a unifier among Americans from all walks of life.

Understand that while Sarah Palin has never backed down from pointing out the wrongs being done by President Obama and his administration, she has also never retreated from associations many, even in her own party, see as pariahs. Folks that are often categorized as rednecks, teabaggers, and Bible thumpers will find a friend in Governor Palin because she sees them as Americans just like any others, not freaks that liberals think necessary to make fun of and rant against. Not stopping there, she has strong supporters across all racial, religious, and social lines…Americans are Americans, and they all deserve Constitutional respect in her eyes.

This is a truth that the left has not figured out. Instead they constantly moan and ask, “Why does anyone listen to her?” Or my all time favorite, “Her kids are just being used as props.” Listen up! As a mother of four, I can tell you it is far easier to leave the kids at home. Far. Easier. Why does she do it? The same reason I drag mine around…I love them, and I want them to experience things they may never get another chance to do.

Anyway, lest even one politician think that these apparently delusional Palin supporters I speak of are far and few between, do allow me to point out that they make up workers from every marketplace and station in life you can name….from Wal-mart cashier to successful business owner to stay at home mom…and they all have votes. They are many. You are few. Don’t say you didn’t know. Just told ya. Right here.

According to an online dictionary, “Conflation occurs when the identities of two or more individuals, concepts, or places, sharing some characteristics of one another, become confused until there seems to be only a single identity — the differences appear to become lost.” In my opinion, conflation has occurred with the identity of President Obama. He is synonymous with a chisel and hammer, dividing and separating our country into sides so diametrically opposed to one another that it seems nearly impossible to overcome.

But what I can hold onto is that conflation has also occurred with the identity of Governor Palin. She has become synonymous with open arms, the heart of a giant, and the courage to be the mama grizzly that says to us, “Wait a sec, let me eat this intruder, and then we’ll move along.” Sarah Palin is not anti-immigrant, anti-people different than herself, or even anti-vegan. What she does promote is national security, common sense, and freedom based on our Constitution. What can possibly be wrong with those things?

I’ve decided I won’t fear President Obama’s continual digging at our nation’s unity because I will be shovel ready come election time, and as Governor Palin reminds us, “…we know that there is nothing wrong with America, that together we can’t fix as Americans.”

Jack Carr: Sarah Palin Is A Media Sensation

Posted by Dr. Fay on April 5, 2010

A mixture of condescension and admiration, Jack Carr’s article makes some noteworthy observations about Sarah Palin’s amazing success story.  It was impossible to remove all the small barbs, but here are some of the more salient points:

When Sarah Palin made her debut as the host of “Real American Stories” on Fox News on Thursday night, she described several triumphs of regular people over insurmountable odds, but she missed an obvious one: her own.

[…]

With its tales of uplift and pluck, “Real American Stories” trades in the kind of easy sentimentality that provokes eye rolls among those of us who work in media while quickening the pulse and patriotic ardor of almost everyone else. At the beginning of the show, Ms. Palin promised that it would “reaffirm our pioneering spirit and unmatched generosity, here and around the world.”

And so it did, with two million people tuning in. It featured a young man with cerebral palsy who was inspired to walk by the love of a dog, a millionaire who financed the college educations of legions of underprivileged youngsters, and a soldier who died to save his brothers in arms. (LL Cool J’s interview was withdrawn after he complained that it was going to be used in Ms. Palin’s show, proving that not everyone was in the reaffirming mood.)

[…]

She was paid a $1.25 million retainer by HarperCollins. Her book, “Going Rogue,” has sold 2.2 million copies, according to its publisher, and she has another tentatively scheduled for this fall.

She now has an actual television career, including appearances as a pundit on Fox News, her gig as the host of “Real American Stories” four times a year, and a coming eight-part series on TLC called “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” which will cost, according to some media reports, $1 million an episode (a lot more than governors make for “Come visit!” P.S.A.’s).

Other people have crossed the border from politics to media to very good effect — George Stephanopoulos, Patrick Buchanan and Chris Matthews, to name a few — but the transition was far more gradual. Ms. Palin turned on a dime and was a ratings sensation from the word go: her first paid appearance, as a commentator on “The O’Reilly Factor” on Jan. 12, was good for an extra million viewers.

Her appeal doesn’t stop at the red states. When Ms. Palin stopped by to chat with Oprah Winfrey — not exactly friendly territory — the show achieved its biggest ratings in two years.

[…]

Back in September 2008, when she was unveiled in St. Paul during the Republican convention, a longtime political reporter told me that her appeal would burn off over time. I wondered about that. I’m from Minnesota, which is sometimes considered the southernmost tip of Alaska, and her way of speaking in credulous golly-gee may have been off-putting to some, but there is a kind of authenticity there that no image handler could conjure.

In Ms. Palin’s America, everyone’s got bootstraps; they just need to have the gumption to find them. And her version is full of plain old folks spending a lot of time overcoming a great deal, including a government that she posits usually intends to do them harm. “America is exceptional! It’s not her politicians that make her so; it’s her everyday people and the values Americans hold so dear,” she said on her Facebook page, which, by the way, has 1.5 million fans.

[…]

Ms. Palin still gets a session in the media spanking machine every time she does anything, but the disapproval seems to further cement the support of her loyalists. Ms. Palin may or may not be qualified to represent America around the world, but she certainly represents vast swaths of the American public and has a lucrative new career to show for it.

If we don’t see why, then maybe we deserve the “lamestream media” label she likes to give us.

Sarah Palin Said Kill Them (aka A lie told often enough becomes truth. – Lenin)

Posted by Karen Allen on March 25, 2010

No kidding. She did. Sarah Palin told everyone that was mad about the newly christened health care reform bill to shoot every last freaking Democrat that was responsible for it. Need proof?

Commonsense Conservatives & lovers of America: “Don’t Retreat, Instead – RELOAD!” Pls see my Facebook page.     1:31 PM Mar 23rd   via OpenBeak

See?

Oh, and that OpenBeak thing, in case you don’t know, is a Blackberry app. I have it too. And like Gov. Palin, I sit around watching my kids play sports, whilst thumbing out directives to carry out my dirty deeds. Is there a hit list, you ask? Sure as shootin’! It’s right there below. Yeppers, I am that obvious. I want people dead. And I advertise it on Facebook and Twitter for the entire world to see.

Seriously, I cannot even believe I am having to address this. And yes, I have to. Showing up in my Yahoo alerts email today was this snippet from The Hook, emphasis mine.

Gas party? FBI investigates cut line at Perriello home
by Dave McNair
published 3:10pm Wednesday Mar 24, 2010

The day after former VP candidate Sarah Palin encouraged her Facebook friends to “print pink slips” for members of Congress who voted for President Obama’s “disasterous” healthcare package, including 5th District Representative Tom Perriello, Politico reports that the FBI is investigating a cut gas line at the Charlottesville home of Perriello’s brother—who is married and has two small children—which County spokesperson Lee Catlin is calling a “suspicious incident.”

Hmmm, I thought, I suppose they are trying to somehow make a connection…a very loose connection…sort of like the one the plumber made under my sink which led to a flooded kitchen floor last week. Ah well, I figured, what’s one dumb author?

Unfortunately, the unfounded connection didn’t end there. Later today I found out the Anchorage Daily News had published an article entitled “Palin’s firearms-themed rhetoric called dangerous”. Well, again, I thought, they’ve never been a cheerleader for her, even though she’s provided them more income in the last few years than they would have ever had alone, so what would one expect?

Most likely, you can tell where I’m headed with this story. The search engines easily bring up the insane and completely baseless logic that Gov. Palin is making a literal call to arms, effectively ordering the heads of Democrats be brought to her on a platter. In a desperate attempt to draw the attention away from the health care fiasco that even the president’s own party is just now discovering the entrails of, the media and their “bring down Palin at all costs” blogger buddies have launched a Can You Believe She Ordered Democrats Killed? campaign.

Let me remind you these are the same people that went bonkers when that nutjob started shooting up the Pentagon last month. “He was a right wing extremist and 9-11 truther!” they published everywhere. Not surprisingly, they shut up real quick when it came out the guy was a long time registered Democrat. Whoops.

The ADN had one thing right in their article title though…”firearms-themed.” Yes, her words and chart had a theme as such to them…she is after all an avid hunter and gun owner advocate. Be aware though that Gov. Palin isn’t the only politician or author to ever use such terms. Here’s a few, just from a quick Google search, emphasis mine. You could get the idea from them that the Dems are just targeting and bombing away! And if you search the key phrase “Democrats take aim”, you will get a looooong list.

Chron.com: Wary Democrats drawing provisional bead on Dean

AFP: Buoyant US Democrats take aim at bank reform, Today

Even after those examples, some critics will point to the rumored threats that were hurled at House reps this past weekend as proof that we on the right are violent. I’ve seen no proof of those threats, but I will tell you that the violence that was done to the American people and our Constitution during this past week has been life threatening in more ways than one. People are mad to say the least. For Democrat lawmakers to feign ignorance and not understand that point is pure malarky.

But let ME be clear…to accuse Gov. Sarah Palin of purposely encouraging and inciting physical trauma toward those spineless Democrats responsible for the health care fiasco is extreme, slanderous, and without merit.

No more than the Democrats as a whole are at fault for the Pentagon shooter or the whackos that threw eggs and tomatoes in Gov. Palin’s direction during her book tour or the Black Panthers that in 2008 stood outside the PA polling place with a nightstick, than is Gov. Palin at fault for those that do illegal acts of cutting gas lines or throwing bricks.

Stop making things up, media and left wing bloggers. Pictured below are the real people you should be concerned about…worry about them. Stop them. Prevent them from hurting America.

Even possibly more dangerous are the illiterate ones. (h/t @gary4205)

“PIPELINEGATE” and the White House

Posted by nypalinpower on March 11, 2010

by NYPalinPower – http://www.nypalinpower.blogspot.com

Why is the President of the United States suddenly getting publicly involved in Alaska politics?  It seems curious and timely that all of the sudden Obama decides to make a complete 180 degree turnaround and is so very interested in becoming directly involved in the same Alaska Pipeline project that Sarah Palin for years has been working on and had finally secured funding for.

President Obama has just announced he is getting the White House to oversee the Alaska Pipeline project and is sending an envoy to Alaska to work with and oversee the project with the state legislators.  So now, we have the White House controlling state business.  And that’s really funny because Governor Sarah Palin had already secured this project along with then Lt. Governor Sean Parnell.  Do you think the President wants to take over the project and take the credit away from Sarah Palin?  Perhaps he has an interest in hurting Sarah Palin by destroying her project altogether and preventing it from going through?  Maybe he is so angry at her that he is using the White House to get back at her? Does he want to hurt Sean Parnell’s chances of re-election?  Could the President be abusing his executive power? Hmm?  I don’t know, but if he is, then this is a scandal, I’ll just call it “Pipelinegate”.

There are two reasons for this, I think.

Alaska Governor Sean Parnell, who took over Sarah Palin’s job last year is up for re-election.  He is way ahead in all the polls to get the Republican nomination.  The general election will be held in November.  Parnell has been working very hard on the Alaska Pipeline project along with Sarah Palin when she was governor, and the project has been on track to receive the funding it needed from Alaskan legislators (at least up until this week when it was announced the President is taking over). http://www.conservatives4palin.com/2010/03/alaska-rep-mike-hawker-still-opposing.html

But why would the President use his executive power to hurt Sarah Palin?  Could she be a possible threat to his re-election campaign in 2012?  Could it be that he is a little bit angry that she is running around the country going to bat for conservatives to unseat legislators in Washington who are not doing their job, mostly Democrats? Sarah is a patriot and she is doing it for her country so it can get back on the right track. If conservatives (mostly Republicans) win the elections, then the Republicans might have enough seats in the House and Senate to take over a majority and gain control of Congress.  If this happens, the President will be in a weaker position than he is today. Do you think he is angry about that? Or maybe he is angry because Sarah Palin saw some major flaws in his healthcare legislation which he desperately wants to pass, and she gave the public the heads up?

Gosh!  Is it really worth it Mr. President to scandalize yourself and abuse your White House privileges because of your anger? This could hurt your chances in 2012 for re-election.  Why do you take the chance? Have you already decided you will not run for a second term?

This is only the beginning, folks.  I think “Pipelinegate” will become huge and the President will be caught in an even bigger scandal than Nixon was a part of.  He is using his power of the executive office to hurt the other side politically.  He is manipulating Alaska’s state business for revenge instead of doing his job as Commander-in-Chief leading our country into prosperity and peace at a time in which our country needs a leader.

It’s Time to Stop the Hate, America

Posted by nypalinpower on March 9, 2010

by NYPalinPower

“Listen to me people, just because you talk to a woman about glasses, purses, children, and dating, does not mean that you are going to sit down for a glass of Kool-Aid, and give up on everything that you believe in.  Liking Sarah Palin is not a sin.  Judging her as a politician, rather than a human being, is.”
– Ilana Angel

http://www.jewishjournal.com/keepingthefaith/item/defending_sarah_palin_over_a_glass_of_kool-aid_20100305/

Ilana Angel writes a blog for The Jewish Journal.  Last Tuesday, she unexpectedly met Sarah Palin in Los Angeles at a restaurant and then blogged about it.  Excited to meet such a “lovely person” she was happy to share that experience with her readers.  However, the responses she got was more than she was bargaining for.

http://www.jewishjournal.com/keepingthefaith/item/sarah_palin_my_unexpected_new_bff_20100303/

As a fellow Jew, I am proud of Ilana Angel for defending Sarah Palin in her blogs.  She continues to this day to defend her even though it isn’t the “politically correct” thing to do or popular with her readers.  And while she doesn’t agree with Sarah’s politics and will never vote for her, I honor Ilana’s decency and “chutzpah” for standing up to those who responded with such shocking and hateful comments.

I entirely agree with Ilana about the hatred issue.  To attack anybody personally based solely on their politics (or religion or race, etc..) is ignorant and is an embarrassment to the human race.  I have also seen horrible personal attacks on our president, and although I am certainly not a fan and I don’t agree with his politics, I have never condoned this kind of hatred.

In my view, the world is one huge family, and it is healthy that our individual views differ, but we should not hate one another for them.  We all are unique with varying beliefs and opinions.  We don’t have to agree, but we must respect those differences.  As one person once wrote on Sarah’s Facebook wall, we are all just one little piece of jigsaw that together make a beautiful puzzle.  So let’s stop the hatred America before something very terrible happens.  We must be decent with one another.  Let us speak up, talk back and debate the issues and then vote at the ballot box.  But don’t ever, ever hate your fellow human being.

In a follow-up blog she writes:

“I am being called brave for writing the blog.  I am being hailed as a hero for not judging her.  I am being called a idiot for liking her.  I am being judged negatively for being kind.  Has the greatest country in the world become so polarized over this woman, that we have forgotten how great this country is?  There are moments in each of our lives where we have the choice to be kind and decent, or animals.  It is beyond crushing to me that this blog presented so many people with the chance to be kind, and instead inspired them to be animals.”

http://www.jewishjournal.com/keepingthefaith/item/shabbat_shalom_sarah_palin_20100306/

Then she goes on to ask some very important questions (as us Jews typically do):

“Why is it, that just because I do not agree with Sarah Palin and her politics,  I need to hate her?  Who is so superior to think that it is okay to hate based on things that, on the most basic of levels, don’t really matter?”

“What message are we giving each other, if we are able to hate each other for beliefs?  This week has made me sad.  Sad as a mother that there is so much hate in the world in which I am raising my son.  I met a cool lady, with killer boots and fabulous glasses, and because I liked her, I am hated.  Have we learned nothing from the history of the world?”

And finally, a sort of prayer:

“What a lovely world it would be if were able to define ourselves as people first.  Imagine the future we would be giving to our children, if being a good person, was more important than the color of our skin, or who we vote for.”

So Ilana, keep up the good work and keep on blogging!  And although I’m not looking to find Mr. Right, I send my best prayers and wishes that you do!
