Michelle Malkin Debunks Gardasil-Palin Connection

Posted by Adrienne Ross on September 13, 2011

After Rick Santorum and Michele Bachmann chewed out Governor Perry for the Texas mandate that young girls be inoculated with Gardasil, Governor Palin also took on this issue in her post-GOP presidential debate interview with Greta Van Susturen.

Today, some looking to accuse Governor Palin of supporting the same practice in Alaska, took to their laptops–ill-informed though they were. Michelle Malkin takes them to task for what she calls “a really, really stupid attack on Palin.” (Aren’t they all?)

To the charge that Governor Palin is guilty of what Governor Perry is–including crony capitalism–Malkin states:

It’s a freakingly obvious night and day difference — Perry’s MANDATE on families and the MANDATE on insurers going over the heads of the state legislature versus the Palin administration’s decision to accept federal subsidies to increase access to those who choose to take it. (Note: Gardasil is not and never has been mandated in the state of Alaska.)

[…]

Moreover, Palin is on record in 2008 e-mails expressing her general opposition to certain vaccine mandates.

It’s a pathetic and ill-informed act of desperation to try and turn the crony capitalism charge on Palin, which is a telling measure of how effective her voice is on this topic — and why so many would rather silence her.

Read Michelle Malkin’s full article, in which she debunks these accusations in detail, here .

Speaking of those emails, multitudes couldn’t wait until they became public so they could dig, scratch, and sniff some juicy tidbits that were supposed to expose Governor Palin for the unethical, hypocritical brute their narrative said she was. We’re constantly reminded, however, that publicizing the private emails of her administration has instead proven–again and again–what a hard working, consistent, and extremely effective governor she was.
