Pastor Saeed Prayer Vigil
This week marks the two-year anniversary of the imprisonment of Pastor Saeed Abedini, the American citizen jailed in Iran for his Christian faith. Now he faces a new danger as ISIS militants imprisoned in the same jail are threatening his life.
Along with Saeed’s wife, Naghmeh, I will be hosting a prayer vigil in Washington, D.C., this Thursday at 6 p.m. outside the White House. Naghmeh also has mobilized prayer vigils in cities across the world to pray for her husband and the persecuted church. I’m encouraging everyone to find a vigil in your area, or register to host one yourself.
“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16, NKJV).
Please join with other believers as we call on the Name of the Lord.
May God bless you,
Franklin Graham
President, Samaritan’s Purse

Jordan Sekulow posted this report about the prayer vigil in DC at this evening:

Palin Invited to Attend Billy Graham’s 95th Birthday Celebration

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on November 1, 2013

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin visits with the Rev. Billy Graham and his son Franklin at the Graham family home in Montreat in November 2009 / Special to the Citizen-Times

As cited in Palin’s October 30th Facebook post:

And it will be thrilling to pay tribute to Rev. Billy Graham next week as he celebrates his 95th birthday! The entire Graham family has had such a positive influence on our nation and the world. God bless them!

From Asheville’s Citizens-Times:

ASHEVILLE — Former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin will attend next week’s birthday celebration for the Rev. Billy Graham, a Graham organization spokesman confirmed today.

Real estate mogul Donald Trump has apparently also said on social media that he will be attending, Graham spokesman Jeremy Blume said.

A number of prominent people have been invited to a Nov. 7 party to mark Graham’s 95th birthday.

Blume said there are a number of ties between Palin and the Graham family.

Alaska has been “an outpost” for relief aid headed to Russia provided by Samaritan’s Purse, the international charity run by Billy Graham’s oldest son, Franklin.

Franklin Graham has a hunting cabin in Alaska and visited Palin during trips there when she was governor, Blume said.

Palin’s Facebook page today has a photo from a Christmas mission trip to Haiti a few years ago the page says both Palin and Franklin Graham went on.  More

Palin: Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Boxes

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on October 31, 2013

Sarah Palin urges her supporters to watch a video on “Operation Christmas Child” and to support Samaritan’s Purse in their endeavor to  bring a little box of joy to children around the world.  Part of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Samaritan’s Purse has ministry projects throughout the world.  November 18th-25th is “National Collection Week” for the boxes.

From Facebook:

Please see the link below to watch the great promo Uncle Si Robertson from Duck Dynasty did for Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas Child. Rev. Franklin Graham and his team do such wonderful work all around the globe. It was such an honor to join him on a Christmas mission in Haiti a few years ago (which this photo is from). And it will be thrilling to pay tribute to Rev. Billy Graham next week as he celebrates his 95th birthday! The entire Graham family has had such a positive influence on our nation and the world. God bless them!

Exclusive Videos: Franklin Graham & Sarah Palin Visit Haiti

Posted by Gary P Jackson on December 15, 2010

By Gary P Jackson

These two videos, exclusively from Samaritan’s Purse, highlight the effort being done to help Haitians survive the effects, not only from the earthquake that happened nearly a year ago, but from a deadly outbreak of cholera.

The conditions in the island nation are dire. Haitians lack the most basic necessities of life. The conditions are worsened by political unrest and widespread violence.

Samaritan’s Purse is an organization that puts the money folks donate to good use. You can send money knowing it goes to help those in need.

We know money is tight, but if you have some money set aside for charity, and are looking for the best use of those dollars, we recommend Samaritan’s Purse and their efforts in Haiti. You can donate by going to Samaritan’s Purse’s website and choosing “Haiti.”

At this time of hope and charity, please help as much as you can by sending a donation, be it large or small, to Samaritan’s Purse.
