Palin: Speaking Engagement at Southeastern Forum

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on October 1, 2012

Sarah Palin’s compelling story of her early life growing up in America’s Last Frontier and her rise to national prominence as the first female Republican Vice Presidential candidate continues to inspire others.  Her story is so much more than politics and she’s been invited talk about overcoming obstacles in leadership at the Southeastern Forum.

From The Ledger:

LAKELAND | Is it true that former governor of Alaska Sarah Palin — the 2008 Republican candidate for vice president — is slated to speak at Southeastern University next year?

You betcha.

The university’s 2013 National Leadership Forum has announced that Palin, 48, will speak at the seventh annual forum, scheduled for March 7 and 8 at the university’s Lakeland campus. Past forum speakers have included Colin Powell, Jeb Bush, President George Bush and Condoleezza Rice.

The forum is geared toward leaders in the business, professional and church communities.

Brian C. Carroll, vice president for university advancement, said the event was created from a desire to teach students and the community about the ideals of servant leadership. “We wanted to create an event that embodies those values,” he said.

Lakeland businessman Bill Mutz, a former auto dealer who has been involved with forum sponsorship, said the upcoming speaker lineup is exciting.

“I think the forum has continued to bring some outstanding speakers to the area who offer a little outside-of-the-box leadership thinking that has been very valuable, not only to individuals, but to organizations that send people to the event.”

Having Palin speak was not a decision made with a political agenda, Carroll said. “This is not a political forum, by any stretch of the imagination,” he said. “Sarah Palin is going to be talking about overcoming obstacles in leadership, and she’s overcome a lot of obstacles.”  More

Steele says Sarah Palin’s absence a ‘mistake’

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on August 28, 2012

Agreed!

From Politico:

Michael Steele said Tuesday it’s a “mistake” that Sarah Palin doesn’t have a role at the Republican National Convention in Tampa.

“I think it was a little bit of a mistake not to have Sarah Palin here,” the former Republican National Committee chairman said on MSNBC. “I
think she brings a level of energy and excitement that’s going to be important going forward into the general campaign… She’s the vice presidential nominee from 2008. Extend the invitation, give her a moment
to speak to the delegation, to the candidate and [their] families.”  More

Palin: Statement on Republican Convention

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on August 12, 2012

Governor Sarah Palin released a statement via GretaWire regarding the upcoming Republican National Convention which will be held in Tampa, Florida August 27th-30th

“…Everything I said at the 2008 convention about then-candidate Obama still stands today, and in fact the predictions made about the very unqualified and inexperienced Community Organizer’s plans to “fundamentally transform” our country are unfortunately coming true. This year is a good opportunity for other voices to speak at the convention and I’m excited to hear them. As I’ve repeatedly said, I support Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in their efforts to replace President Obama at the ballot box, and I intend to focus on grassroots efforts to rally Independents and the GOP base to elect Senate and House members so a wise Congress is ready to work with our new President to get our country back on the right path. This is imperative. As President Clinton said in 2008 while candidate Obama and lapdogs in the media were thrashing his wife’s record and reputation, this is “…the biggest fairy tale.” For the sake of America’s solvency and sovereignty we must close this nonsensical book in November…” – Sarah Palin

Palin: “The Revolution Begins With You” at Right Online

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on June 15, 2012

Tony Lee is giving us a sneak preview of the theme for Sarah Palin’s message to attendees of the Right Online Conference in Las Vegas this evening.  Palin’s theme “The Revolution Begins With You” is fitting for both the audience in attendence and those that will be watching via livestream here.

From breitbart.com:

The battle for America’s political future will be won online, and the late Andrew Breitbart and Sarah Palin – the former Alaska Governor, vice presidential candidate, and current North Star of grassroots conservatives and Tea Partiers – were pioneers in understanding the power of the Internet in influencing political change and combating the mainstream media’s false narratives.

On Friday night, at the Right Online conference in Las Vegas, Nevada – a two-day gathering of online conservatives put on by the dynamic conservative group Americans For Prosperity – Palin will give a keynote address in addition to honoring Breitbart and his legacy.

A source close to Palin with knowledge of her speech told Breitbart News that Palin “will be speaking about the importance of new media” because “she sees conservative bloggers and social media activists as the vanguard of the grassroots conservative movement.” More

The Heart of a Rogue Trailblazer

In 2006, Sarah Palin became the youngest person and the first female to be elected as governor of Alaska. A short two years later, she was tapped to be the vice-presidential running mate for Senator John McCain. She was the first Alaskan on the national ticket and the first Republican woman nominated for the vice-presidency. She has since endorsed and campaigned for the Tea Party movement. She is a contributor to FOX news where she offers political commentary and analysis and participates in special event political programming. She’s the author of Going Rogue: An American Life and America by Heart. She was named to Time magazine’s 2010 “100 Most Influential People” list. Known for the meteoric rise that captured the hearts and minds of a global audience, Palin is a groundbreaker who speaks on her vision for energy independence, national security, fiscal responsibility, health care, and small government.  More

Palin Reserves Space in Tampa near RNC Convention Site

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on April 11, 2012

Sarah_palin39It seems that Governor Sarah Palin will have huge presence at the 2012 Republican National Convention.  The release of the required FEC Disclosure Report for SarahPAC reveals a deposit of $4,500.00 for space at the Channelside Bay Mall.  This action creates questions for this writer with regards to the size of the space, the length of time Governor Palin will have space and whether or not this will this be a public venue or a private area for interviews and special guests.

You can find other stories related to this topic at Politico and at the Tampa Bay Times.
