Paul Streitz Backstabs Governor Palin; Updated

Posted by Adrienne Ross on January 22, 2010

By Adrienne Ross –

Governor Palin, a RINO? Are you kidding me?

I have very little tolerance for backstabbers. And I have even less tolerance for backstabbers who are motivated by a desire to control the decisions of people who have proven that they operate on principle, not pressure.

Tonight Paul Streitz, co-founder of the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee, sent out an email blasting Governor Palin for her support of Senator John McCain, among other things. Streitz no longer holds a leadership position with the committee, nor has he for almost a year now. Although he phrased his email as if he is speaking for the committee, he is not.

His email states in part:

She has now chose to align herself with several bad actors. What should this be called, the Rinoization of Sarah Palin.

At the time of the election, perhaps Sarah Palin could have been forgiven for her ideas on immigration (and lack of knowledge) because she was governor of Alaska, not Arizona. But in the intervening months, she has done little but promote herself as a celebrity, known because her brief time on the national stage..

She is certainly entitled to write a book and make money for her and her family, but other than what has she has done to support Republican and patriotic candidates.

Where was she in VA?
Where was she in NJ?
Where was she in Mass?

Guiliani showed up in Mass because he knew what was at stake. Perhaps, Sarah was too busy talking to her agent about her Fox deal. Where the hell was Sarah?

Napoleon once said that he wanted Generals that went to the sound of the cannon. That they instinctively were fighters. He also said he wanted generals that had bon chance, good luck. Well, Sarah has had good luck, but she has not gone to the sound of the cannon, where critical battles were fought in 2009.

First of all, I’m not sure where Paul Streitz has been hiding out, but Governor Palin has always said that she would support John McCain’s quest for re-election. Did he not know that she is a woman of her word? Did he expect her to turn tail and run when the time came? Mel dealt with this in an earlier post for Conservatives4Palin.

And where does he come off questioning her willingness to roll up her sleeves and run into the fight? If she’s not the general fighting for common sense conservatism, who is? There is no other person who has put herself on the line for love of country as she has. There is not one other public figure who has gone through the hell that Governor Palin has gone through–her every word analyzed, her every step sized up, her family picked apart. Who else has sacrificed personal comfort and family privacy to the degree that she has in order to make a difference in this nation? She has undergone scrutiny to a degree none of us has ever seen before. The attacks, the accusations, the utter hatred she has endured are unprecedented. And with each new occurrence, she only speaks out even louder. That’s not called celebrity; that’s called selfless public service. Governor Palin’s commitment to the success of this country is without question. Where does Streitz come off accusing her of only looking after self, simply because she’s not a puppet whose strings he can dangle? That’s really what this is all about, isn’t it?

Governor Palin has supported candidates who support the values that she espouses. She has rallied the American people to do the same in key races in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, and Massachusetts. In addition, SarahPAC has given generously to aid in these efforts. As promised, she will soon hit the road and support other candidates she stands behind, including Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, and yes, John McCain in this critical year.

If Paul Streitz’s support of Governor Palin is contingent upon his agreeing with every decision she makes or her selling out her deeply-held values, that’s unfortunate. While all support is appreciated, the governor has never been for sale. Ask the Alaska establishment, who learned that early in her political career.

Paul Streitz should note that true character is revealed, not necessarily when we agree with someone, but in areas where we may disagree. The way we deal with those situations says a lot about who we really were all along. When disagreements lead to backstabbing, undermining, and trying to rally others to buy into it, I have to wonder if the knife was waiting in the back pocket all along.

Once again, Paul Streitz was not speaking for the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee. In a soon-to-be-released Alert, Chairman Randy Highsmith states:

Paul Streitz, co-founder of the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee, who has not held a leadership position with the Committee for almost a year now, sent out an email tonight voicing his disapproval of Governor Palin’s recent decisions. If you have received his email, you were probably under the impression that he was speaking for us, for he phrased it in such a way as to give that impression. However, he was not—in any way, shape, or form—speaking for the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee. He was speaking for himself. We do not, as a Committee, support his perspective or condone his approach.

Governor Palin has always acted on principle, which is one of many reasons we have supported her so vehemently and will continue to do so.

Randy Highsmith

Update: As most people who are paying attention know–people unlike Paul Streitz, that is–Governor Palin did endorse both McDonnell and Christie and gave them the maximum money allowed by law. The governor also offered to go campaign for them, but her physical assistance was not required, and the offer was politely declined. As for Massachusetts, it was wisdom on Governor Palin’s part not to go stump for him, as he was working hard to stand independent of the national Republican establishment. Her arrival in a blue state like Massachusetts may have easily worked against him–something the Left was hoping for–so she let him stand on his own, and we all know how this panned out for him. Streitz would be wise to get his facts straight before running his mouth.

2012 Draft Sarah Committee – $20 or $10 for 2010 Challenge

Posted by Adrienne Ross on January 3, 2010

By Adrienne Ross –

Governor Palin’s supporters who are on the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee email list have already received the letter below, which was sent out on New Year’s Eve. Those who aren’t, first, what in the world are you waiting for, and second, what in the world are you waiting for?! No, seriously.

The 2012 Draft Sarah Committee is the only FEC-registered draft committee, which means it’s official, it’s held to federal guidelines, and it’s leading the charge to encourage Governor Palin to run in 2012.

In addition to our 2012 efforts, the Committee is dedicated to supporting the Governor in general. We’ve demonstrated that support with our physical presence at events from New York to Alaska–and many states in between. We continue to demonstrate that support with the work that goes on in our local areas across the country.

All Organizers are volunteers who believe in the cause, and we’re counting on those of you who also believe to get involved. So be sure to sign up at our website by clicking here, and while you’re there, take a look around.

The letter below is our $20 or $10 for 2010 Challenge. Check it out, and please answer the call.

Let’s hit the ground running!

Dear 2012 Draft Sarah Committee Supporter,

We are on the verge of entering 2010, so let me be the first to wish you a Happy New Year!

2009 has been a challenging year for the nation, but one where Governor Palin has taken a stand on a variety of issues that are so crucial to America’s progress. It’s also the year of her best-selling memoir, Going Rogue. I am confident 2010 will be even more exciting.

The 2012 Draft Sarah Committee started 2009 by attending CPAC in February, which brings me to the point of this correspondence. CPAC, held in our nation’s capital, is the leading conservative gathering in the country. It was at CPAC where we were able to tell people more about the Committee, get feedback from Americans regarding Governor Palin, and acquire valuable contact information as we gained a myriad of online newsletter subscribers and volunteers. February is fast-approaching, and once again the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee wants to have a presence at CPAC.

We need your help.

In honor of 2010, I am asking you to start off the year with a $20 or $10 donation—or more—to the Committee. Contributions will go first towards booth rental and then towards material such as bumper stickers, flyers, shirts, and buttons for CPAC. Many of you are faithful to donate to SarahPAC; would you consider going above and beyond that contribution to make one to the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee as well, and would you consider making that contribution by the 10th of January?

We are doing important work, and even Governor Palin saw fit to thank us in Going Rogue. While we do operate independently of her, we are honored that she has taken note of our efforts. We want to carry on in this new year.

Please visit the website,, to make your donation.

Thank you for considering a gift of $20 or $10, and Happy 2010 once again!

Randy Highsmith

Hurry to join in this challenge by the 10th of this month! Thank you.

Adrienne Ross and Clifton Bazar to be on Glenn Beck

Posted by Ron Devito on November 4, 2009

Update: Due to emergency appendix surgery for Glenn Beck, this interview is now scheduled to air Friday, November 13, 2009

Clifton Bazar and Adrienne Ross, Board Member, Media Director, and New York State Organizer of the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee will participate in a town hall-style forum on the Glenn Beck show Friday, November 613, 2009. Please check local listings for air times.

Glenn Beck is hosting the show with Black Conservative guests; Adrienne and Clifton will participate in the discussion with other like-minded conservatives.

If you have met Adrienne or have heard or watched any of her interviews regarding Governor Palin, then you know this will be a must-see event.

Both Adrienne and Clifton are authors on Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s Accomplishments, and Sarah’s Web Brigade.

Clifton Bazar

Clifton Bazar is the editor and publisher of Another Black Conservative.

Mr. Bazar is a black conservative from a black conservative family. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and finally settled in New Jersey. Throughout his life he knew he did not share many of the common beliefs of other American blacks. For starters, he never took to the term “African-American.” He has meet too many real Africans who are now Americans, to ever with a straight face say we share something in common other than skin tones. Their history and culture is truly a unique and is a completely different experience from his own. His culture is distinctly American, from the way he speaks, thinks, dresses and acts and you know what else? He loves it! So for him, he will always be an American who just happens to be black. He puts himself and his beliefs out here in cyberspace, to show his fellow blacks that there is something more. That one need not accept the false promise of the next social program, the belief in government as savior or the next Democratic candidate will right all wrongs. That true Hope and Change comes from belief in yourself, in a nation that allows dynamic movement if you are bold enough, smart enough and brave enough to make it happen.

Adrienne Ross

Adrienne Ross is the editor and publisher of Motivation: Truth and a Board Member, Media Director, and NY State Organizer for the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee. Ms. Ross met Governor Palin in Auburn, NY in early June, 2009 as part of celebrating Alaska’s 50th Year of Statehood. She met Governor Palin a second time during a month-long trip to Alaska.

Ms. Ross is also an author on C4P, and SarahNet.

Ms. Ross is a born-again Christian who is madly in love with the Lord Jesus Christ. She is also a middle school English Language Arts teacher. She chooses to use the gifts God has given her to be a voice of truth in this crucial time in our nation. She is taking a stand for righteousness and for leaders, like Sarah Palin, who stand for righteousness because, as the Bible declares, “Righteousness exalts a nation.” It’s time for people of integrity to stand up, speak up, and make a difference. Her sole motivation? The TRUTH!

Governor Palin for President?

Posted by Adrienne Ross on October 15, 2009

By Adrienne Ross –

(h/t Josh Painter)

The Colorado Springs Independent published an article today about the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee and our grassroots effort to support Governor Palin and to encourage her to run for president in 2012. The Committee is made up of ordinary people–volunteers–from all over the United States who see in the governor the only leader who can drive America forward. As the New York State Organizer and Media Director, I am among those people.

Pam Zubeck writes.

David Kelly’s home office in Briargate is a typical middle-aged guy’s hideout. It has a computer, two desks, books stacked floor to ceiling and maps on the walls. But at the foot of one desk sit a couple boxes filled with buttons and bumper stickers promoting Sarah Palin as a 2012 presidential candidate.

The full-time library district worker spends up to 20 hours a week collecting money and mailing political paraphernalia as part of his federal political action committee’s effort to persuade Palin to run.

“She’s not part of the Beltway,” Kelly explains. “She’s a mother who got angry one day and decided, ‘I’m going to do something.’ She’s real. She truly is telling us from her heart what she wants to do, rather than what party officials are dictating to her.”

Randy Highsmith, the committee’s chairman, saw a story on the Web about the committee and volunteered to organize from Florida. He raves about Palin in an e-mail: “Palin excited me and many other conservatives due to her proven and consistent conservative stances.” He notes she’s pro-life, pro-business and favors oil drilling in Alaska wilderness.

“The day she announces,” [Kelly] says, “our job is done.”

Governor Palin has never said for certain that she will run for the presidency, but the committee is working hard in hopes that she will.

Palinistas Take Manhattan

Posted by Adrienne Ross on August 31, 2009

By Adrienne Ross from

On Saturday, many people were writing about Governor Palin’s introduction to the nation. Bloggers–myself included–were recording what they remember about that day or their favorite Palin moment since that day. Here in New York, we wanted to do that, but we wanted to do more. We created an opportunity to get together with other Palinistas to connect, strategize, and, of course, give in to the nostalgia.

New York City was the location. It was too far for some in our New York network to travel, so we had a small group–four of us. I drove the five hours round trip, and it was well worth it. Though small in number, this was a strong and diverse group, capable of great achievements in the pro-Sarah, pro-America, pro-conservative movement. In attendance were Pamela Geller (Atlas Shrugs), Raj Rajagopalan, Ron Devito, and yours truly.

You know Pamela from the prestigious blog, Atlas Shrugs. She is a powerful writer, public speaker, and activist who believes deeply in what she writes and speaks about. She is fired up and passionate about America and wants to see us progress in the right direction.

Raj Rajagopalan, of Associated Content, is the New York City local organizer for the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee. He demonstrates bold support of Governor Palin in a very liberal state. He speaks out without fear–sometimes using words; other times using clothing. (You’ll see what I mean at the end!)

Ron Devito is another loyal Palin activist and blogger. He is the editor/publisher of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s Accomplishments, for which I also write. He oversees several contributors to his blog that is committed to publishing the accomplishments of Governor Palin–accomplishments that are ignored or watered down by the mainstream media.

As the four of us talked in the restaurant, we noticed other diners paying attention to our conversation. As you know, New York is not the most conservative of places, so that’s to be expected, I suppose. Raj’s T-shirt didn’t help matters either!

After our meal, we went to an apartment where we watched last year’s Dayton, Ohio speech that Palin made after John McCain introduced her to the nation. One would have thought it was a year earlier and we were in the crowd in Ohio, for we, too, sat on the edge of our seats and clapped our hands while watching the year-old video.

Before we ended our time together, we discussed alternate avenues to get our message out. Here’s some breaking news for you: we cannot rely on the mainstream media! Therefore, it is of the utmost importance that we create our own media. With some tips from Pamela, I am now hoping to expand my influence and continue to get the truth out there in varied ways. Some might say, “Why? Palin is no longer the governor of Alaska or the vice presidential candidate.” True. However, she is not fading into the distance. She continues to be a voice, and that voice continues to get distorted by an agenda-laden media. So the question is: what do we do about it?

That’s where people like us come in. When necessary, we must be committed to going around the CNN’s and MSNBC’s of this world, the Katie Courics and Charlie Gibsons, and using other tools: written blogs, video blogs, online newsletters, and social networking sites. This is grassroots at its best.

As my readers know, I am the New York State Organizer and Media Director/Spokesperson for the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee. My prediction is we will see Governor Palin become President Palin in the next presidential election. However, whatever road she decides to travel, it will take people like us–people like you–to help her navigate safely, for we know the Left will continue to throw every rock at her that they can manage to pick up from the side of the road. This is why it’s important that we get together with others who are like-minded, those who are committed to truth and have an aversion for smears and destructive tactics. The time is now. This is the time to be–not just Pro-Sarah– but pro-active.

Raj and I holding the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee banner in NYC

Next 3 pics show Raj, Pamela Geller (Atlas Shrugs), Ron Devito, and me at NYC restaurant

Here I am holding a McCain-Palin T-shirt from Mocha Moose in Wasilla, AK

Now you see it…Now you don’t! Raj and I make “McCain” disappear from T-shirt

In case you can’t see it, what’s printed underneath Palin’s pic on Raj’s T-shirt is the phrase,”Go get the socialist!” Needless to say, he got stared down on the train and in the restaurant!
