Palin: Let’s Talk About the Real Issues, Mr. President

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on March 12, 2012

Fort Wasilla 1  –  Whitehouse 0

Moments ago, Sarah Palin posted a scorching note to her Facebook page that’s directed at President Obama and his failed policies.

From Sarah Palin’s Facebook page:

The far Left continues to believe American voters are not smart enough to grasp the diversionary tactics it employs to distract us from the issues our President just doesn’t want to talk about – issues that affect us all every day and must be addressed.

Exhibit A in these diversionary tactics is an absurd new attack ad President Obama has released taking my comments out of context. I’m not running for any office, but I’m more than happy to accept the dubious honor of being Barack Obama’s “enemy of the week” if that includes the opportunity to debate him on the issues Americans are actually concerned about. (Remember when I said you don’t need a title to make a difference?)

Just off the top of my head, a few of these concerning issues include: a debt crisis that has us hurdling towards a Greek-style collapse, entitlement programs going bankrupt, a credit downgrade for the first time in our history, a government takeover of the health care industry that makes care more expensive and puts a rationing panel of faceless bureaucrats between you and your doctor (aka a “death panel”), $4 and $5 gas at the pump exacerbated by an anti-drilling agenda that rejects good paying energy sector jobs and makes us more dependent on dangerous foreign regimes, a war in Afghanistan that seems unfocused and unending, a global presidential apology tour that’s made us look feeble and ridiculous, a housing market in the tank, the longest streak of high unemployment since World War II, private-sector job creators and industry strangled by burdensome regulations and an out-of-control Obama EPA, an attack on the Constitutional protection of religious liberty, an attack on private industry in right-to-work states, crony capitalism run amok in an administration in bed with their favored cronies to the detriment of genuine free market capitalism, green energy pay-to-play kickbacks to Obama campaign donors, and a Justice Department still stonewalling on a bungled operation that armed violent Mexican drug lords and led to the deaths of hundreds of innocent people.  More

Palin: Combat Veteran

Posted by Jackie Siciliano on January 21, 2011

I would imagine that Sarah Palin may be feeling a little battle-weary these days.  As a Sarah Palin supporter, I know that I have my own battle-weary moments and for me, these moments have occurred as a result of my utter disbelief at the contempt and hate spewed at Sarah Palin.  I have watched people from all walks of life; celebrities, Democrats, Republicans, self-described Conservatives, reporters who should remain neutral and your everyday average person, vilify this woman and her family with reckless finger-pointing accusations with little or no basis in fact.  Apparently the 5 Ws of reporting that I learned in a high school journalism class (thank you Mrs. King), who, what, when, where, and why, no longer apply even to the largest media outlets that many Americans have come to rely upon and trust. (I’m not even going to get into my small-town local weekly that could not resist jumping on the “blame Palin bandwagon”.)  If Sarah Palin is “unintelligent and not relevant” as we are continually told, the question of “why bother with her” begs to be answered.  The answer is glaringly obvious…… Sarah Palin is a relevant political warrior of freedom.

~Jackie~

From http://www.americanthinker.com:

…..a ragtag army of freedom-loving Americans knows who’s got the guts of a real Commander-in-Chief.  President Palin, we’ll see you on January 20, 2013.

Apparently, America’s next big scheduled argument is whether women soldiers should be allowed in combat.  Mark your calendars now to begin screaming your preferred talking points, yea or nay.  Politics Daily:

A study commission chartered by Congress is poised to send up to Capitol Hill a recommendation that the last remaining barriers to women – those that formally exclude them from infantry, armor and special forces — be removed.

As far as I’m concerned, we already have our first female combat soldier, a breathtakingly brave warrior who suffers the slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune for the sake of our freedom, every day. More

Sarah Palin: America’s Duct Tape

Posted by Karen Allen on May 20, 2010

I am sure over the next few days there will be far more eloquent and talented authors than myself who will be able to articulate the gargantuan of a canyon our president continues to carve in the middle of America’s heartland. What started as a crack has turned into a gorge of division that our nation has not experienced in a long time. Sometimes, a shake up is necessary….this however, is a shakedown.

I was horrified…yes, an appropriate word…to watch today as our president stood shoulder to shoulder with Mexican president Felipe Calderon and effectively became a turncoat against a part of our Union. When did it become acceptable for a president of the United States of America to join another country in tearing down and degrading one of our own member states? It just feels treasonous to me.

It’s been debated whether any of the critics of the Arizona immigration law SB1070 have even read it in full. It’s only fifteen pages…far less than the two thousand plus of the health reform bill. Why don’t some of our elected officials and their paid staff take a minute between tee times and extramarital affairs to find out what the heck is going on in America? I’d love to see a reality show where the citizens of Arizona take a DC hack to the field and let him or her experience the violence and fear of living beneath a reign of terror due to illegal invasions. This is not about preventing some poor Mexicans from working on farms…this is about national security with a gaping border allowing drug cartels and terrorists from other countries free access. Seriously, what is wrong with our president?!

When Governor Palin said, “Politically, if I die, I die,” it was with the understanding that even if she never ran for an office again, it wasn’t going to stop her from standing up on her soapbox, wherever it might be stationed. I’m thankful for that and how she has stood up for the state of Arizona and their right to protect themselves, with no apology. She isn’t alone. There are many in the same fight for our country, and she is quick to acknowledge them. One thing though that has been distinct in Governor Palin’s approach is how she has been a unifier among Americans from all walks of life.

Understand that while Sarah Palin has never backed down from pointing out the wrongs being done by President Obama and his administration, she has also never retreated from associations many, even in her own party, see as pariahs. Folks that are often categorized as rednecks, teabaggers, and Bible thumpers will find a friend in Governor Palin because she sees them as Americans just like any others, not freaks that liberals think necessary to make fun of and rant against. Not stopping there, she has strong supporters across all racial, religious, and social lines…Americans are Americans, and they all deserve Constitutional respect in her eyes.

This is a truth that the left has not figured out. Instead they constantly moan and ask, “Why does anyone listen to her?” Or my all time favorite, “Her kids are just being used as props.” Listen up! As a mother of four, I can tell you it is far easier to leave the kids at home. Far. Easier. Why does she do it? The same reason I drag mine around…I love them, and I want them to experience things they may never get another chance to do.

Anyway, lest even one politician think that these apparently delusional Palin supporters I speak of are far and few between, do allow me to point out that they make up workers from every marketplace and station in life you can name….from Wal-mart cashier to successful business owner to stay at home mom…and they all have votes. They are many. You are few. Don’t say you didn’t know. Just told ya. Right here.

According to an online dictionary, “Conflation occurs when the identities of two or more individuals, concepts, or places, sharing some characteristics of one another, become confused until there seems to be only a single identity — the differences appear to become lost.” In my opinion, conflation has occurred with the identity of President Obama. He is synonymous with a chisel and hammer, dividing and separating our country into sides so diametrically opposed to one another that it seems nearly impossible to overcome.

But what I can hold onto is that conflation has also occurred with the identity of Governor Palin. She has become synonymous with open arms, the heart of a giant, and the courage to be the mama grizzly that says to us, “Wait a sec, let me eat this intruder, and then we’ll move along.” Sarah Palin is not anti-immigrant, anti-people different than herself, or even anti-vegan. What she does promote is national security, common sense, and freedom based on our Constitution. What can possibly be wrong with those things?

I’ve decided I won’t fear President Obama’s continual digging at our nation’s unity because I will be shovel ready come election time, and as Governor Palin reminds us, “…we know that there is nothing wrong with America, that together we can’t fix as Americans.”

Right-to-Life and the Tea Party Should Join Hands to Protect the Life of Innocents Like Terri Schiavo

Posted by Dr. Fay on January 10, 2010

Kevin Fobbs suggests that Right-to-Life and the Tea Party join forces to protect the life of innocents from “death panels” such as the one that took the life of Terri Schiavo in 2005:

Sarah Palin, the numerous Tea party patriots, and last summer’s warnings ofpotential unrepentant death panels taking hold of life-and-death medical decisions stirred up a nation and brought focus to one of the most important issues of our past decade. That is who determines our quality of life? What about at the last stage of our life or even at its beginning? Should it be the government, hospital staff, or anyone else beside ourselves? These issues must be addressed in the new decade as well.

For example, it has been nearly five years since Terri Schindler Schiavo, an innocent and helpless Florida woman was deprived of God’s most precious and enduring gift that he could give us and that is the breath of life. Terri’s father Robert Schindler — who sadly passed away last August — once told me that Terri is one of God’s angels now. Perhaps the lesson of her life was to not only show us how we must appreciate life each and every day but to understand to what lengths those among our leadership will do to snatch it away creating incredible personal wreckage in its wake….

So you can see the angst that many in the Tea Party movement last summer might have had with the possibility of the government taking over health care decisions regarding the quality of our lives and who deserves to live or die (and when this will happen!) A “death panel” by any other name might still well be a potential life-stripping bureaucracy….

you will see there are countless innocents like Terri facing the same unconcerned and unloving outsiders who want to make decisions about our lives and those of our loved ones.So perhaps now is the time for Right-to-Life to meet the American Tea Party with an understanding or appreciation of how important it is to say just a simple word.

“Stop”

Stop making decisions that will take away our right to a second, third, or fourth opinion, if it is necessary. Stop under-appreciating the life of a person by assigning a “one-size-fits-all quality of life measurement.” Stop deciding that life is something pursued only until it becomes a difficulty for a family member who tires of caring, or a medical system and a government that says that “we don’t want you to live because we don’t want to afford it.”…

If a Sarah Palin wants to stand firm in her belief to promote the idea that “death panels” may be skulking around the medical bureaucracy corner and therefore “let us be on the watch,” then let’s not admonish her or dismiss her because a 1,000 plus page congressional bill — largely unread by most of those in  congress voting for it — says that it is not true….

So in 2010 and beyond if we need to have more Tea parties or more people like Sarah Palin standing up and going rogue, then so be it because it is not just an election or control of congress or the presidency that hangs in the balance but it is whether or not our children, our grandchildren, and our nation’s future are put on life support until a medical panel decides the time and place when they will pull the plug.

Only God has that power.

Help the Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation: http://www.terrisfight.org/, make this the decade of life beginning with Terri’s Day 2010, which will be observed each
year on March 31, the anniversary of her death.

Stand up and stand strong!
