Being “Like Ronald Reagan” The Only Positive Political Description

“Progressive” is becoming more of a dirty word, but all political labels – except “being like Ronald Reagan” – are falling into disfavor with many U.S. voters, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.

“Liberal” is still the worst and remains the only political description that is viewed more negatively than positively. Being like Reagan is still the most positive thing you can say about a candidate.

So says the latest Rasmussen polling on the subject. Now for conservatives, “like Ronald Reagan” has been the only acceptable position for a politician to have, for a long, long time.

I’m sure the David Frums, Peggy Noonans, Colin Powells, and Kathleen Parkers of the world are hyperventilating right about now, as they are the ones always telling us the “era of Reagan is over.” I guess they are wrong once again! Shocking, huh?

It’s been twenty years since the great Renaldus Magnus, as he is affectionately known, has sat in the Oval Office, so why is he just as appealing today as he was back in his prime? I think it’s because Reagan was such a strong leader and just a great man, but that is probably way too simplistic.

Ronald Reagan was part of the American consciousness for most of the last century. I won’t attempt to write a biography here – there are plenty out there for folks to read and enjoy – but some of the highlights of Reagan’s career and how we came to love the man are certainly something to talk about.

Reagan was an actor, and while some called him a “B-Movie Actor,” he also gave us one of the most memorable characters of all time when he played George Gipp in the movie “Knute Rockne, All American.” While the movie itself was about famed Notre Dame coach Knute Rockne, one of the most memorable performances was Ronald Reagan playing George Gipp. Gipp was a great football player who died too young of a strep infection.

Now I’m going to tell you something I’ve kept to myself for years. None of you ever knew George Gipp. He was long before your time, but you all know what a tradition he is at Notre Dame. And the last thing he said to me, “Rock,” he said, “sometime when the team is up against it and the breaks are beating the boys, tell them to go out there with all they’ve got and win just one for the Gipper. I don’t know where I’ll be then, Rock,” he said, “but I’ll know about it and I’ll be happy.”

“Win one for the Gipper” became part of the American lexicon. As for Reagan, the Gipper nickname stuck and became just another affectionate name we know him by.

Reagan was much more than just an actor. though. He was President of the Screen Actors Guild and a solid spokesman. He was also a democrat, who famously said: “I didn’t leave the democrat party, the democrat party left me.”

And Reagan, who had a sharp wit, never missed the chance to have fun with that:

In fact, one of the things that we all loved about Ronald Reagan was his ability to speak well and deliver great one liners as well as funny stories.

But Reagan was more than a good line and a bright smile. Reagan was also someone who loved America with all of his heart. He saw America as a “shining city on a hill” the world’s last best hope. Reagan was always concerned that Americans understood our great gifts of freedom and kept a constant watch for things that would cause Americans to lose those freedoms.

It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

What really sets Reagan apart, at least for me, is how not only were his warnings appropriate for their time, but they can be applied to today’s events as well. In fact, it’s uncanny how the same things Ronald Reagan warned us about – communism and the slightly less oppressive socialism – are still real threats today.

For example, no one understood the danger to freedom and liberty that socialized medicine posed better than Ronald Reagan. Back in 1961, as they had been for decades, the democrat party was trying to shove socialized health care down an unwilling America’s throat. Reagan took part in the “Operation Coffee Cup Campaign” and went on a speaking tour, forcefully warning about the dangers of allowing the government to control health care.

Anyone who has actually read H.R. 3200, the most likely version of Obamacare to pass, knows Reagan was right then and even more right now! Obamacare is nothing less than a complete and total usurpation of the Constitution. It totally remakes American society, turning it into a communist state, with a centrally controlled government and centrally planned economy.

America was designed to be a loose confederation of states, coming together as a Republic for mutual benefit but with each remaining sovereign. It’s what the 10th Amendment to the Constitution is all about. Once Obamacare is passed, states rights and most individual rights go right out the window.

If we as Americans are to retain our freedoms and liberties, it is imperative that we listen to Ronald Reagan. It is imperative that we stop the government’s attempt to “reform” health care.

Now I am not saying health care doesn’t have its issues. It does. But health care in America is still the best in the world, has the highest quality, and is available in the most timely manner to the greatest number of people.

There are common sense plans out there. Plans that include major tort reform and the ability for Americans to shop for insurance nationwide rather than just within their state. There are thousands of insurance companies nationwide. The Obama regime claims to want “more competition” for the consumer’s dollar. What better way than to open the door for all Americans to shop all of the various insurance companies nationwide?

Ronald Reagan didn’t just warn us about socialized medicine, though. Few understood better than Reagan that liberalism was a losing proposition. That liberalism made absolutely no sense whatsoever. That liberalism was a contradiction all unto itself.

In another speech that absolutely applies today, Ronald Reagan speaks out on the dangers of allowing liberals to be elected to positions of responsibility.

In 1964 Reagan gave this speech at the Republican National Convention in support of Barry Goldwater, the candidate for President. The speech, entitled “A Time For Choosing” is one of the most iconic of all time. In fact, it has come to be known simply as “The Speech.”

If I had my way, this video would be required viewing by every school kid in America. In fact, it would be a required course to get a high school diploma, and there would be advanced teaching on it in colleges and universities nationwide.

It’s just that important!

What is rather chilling is how we can listen to Ronald Reagan 45 years later and apply absolutely everything he is saying to our current situation.

This might help explain why “like Ronald Reagan” is still the best thing you can say about a politician!

“The Speech”

Here’s a bit of an exercise for you. After watching the video, write down just how many things Reagan was talking about that not only exist in our current climate, but are even a greater threat today. Reagan understood all too well just how dangerous it was to allow government to grow too large and too powerful.

Ronald Reagan also warned that the “once honorable democrat party” was on a strong march towards socialism, or Marxism, as he called it. Today, we understand it as communism, plain and simple. We now have a President who was raised by communists, mentored by communists, and is now surrounded by and seeks advice from self avowed communists.

We are left asking ourselves just how in the hell this happened!

Ronald Reagan was an inspiration to America at a time when we needed it the most. America was in a slump. The American morale was as low as it had ever been, and the current national embarrassment, Jimmy Carter, had all but destroyed the economy forever. Carter had also allowed our military readiness to become dangerously low.

Our foreign policy was a joke. Under Carter, radical Islam was able to come to power in Iran and the greater Middle East. We are all suffering to this day because of Carter’s failures in this area. And frankly, our current White House occupant is following Carter’s lead.

I always laugh at the imagery surrounding Barack Obama. We were told when he was elected that the sea levels would lower, the skies would be brighter, and it would be rainbows and unicorns for all.

Well, I remember just how defeated Americans felt during the Carter years. Just how bad it was. We actually had a “misery index” concocted by the media just to tell us how bad our life sucked on any given day. Double digit unemployment, double digit inflation, and double digit interest rates on loans was the way of life in America.

Ronald Reagan represented real hope. It truly was “morning in America” once Reagan was elected. Reagan brought an intangible “it” factor with him that many leaders will never have. Reagan exuded optimism. He was our oldest President ever to take office, and yet he was the very picture of virility. Reagan was both a strong and forceful leader and America’s father figure, a kind man with a reassuring smile that simply told you everything was going to be just fine.

In no time America’s morale was high. America’s confidence was on the rebound. People were very proud to be Americans again. I remember those days well, and they were simply electric. The new feeling of optimism was amazing. You honestly felt like you could achieve anything.

I was a young man back then, but the feelings of this energy effected me greatly. Reagan had so much confidence that it spilled over onto the rest of us. It made us all see that absolutely anything was possible.

Now it took more than a few years for America to start to recover from the Carter fiasco – in fact, almost all of Reagan’s two terms. If a person were to go back, and just look at raw numbers, they would see that much of Reagan’s presidency saw economic numbers that, until the Obama presidency, wouldn’t have been all that stellar, but compared to where we had been, they were great.

The greatest affirmation of the difference Reagan made and of the love for him back then was his 1984 re-election. Now Reagan won an absolute landslide when he defeated Jimmy Carter in 1980. Reagan won 44 of 50 states in a three-way race that saw Republican John Anderson run as an Independent. Anderson being what we would call a RINO today. Reagan got 50.7 percent of the raw vote and Carter got 41 percent.

In 1984 though, the American people rewarded Reagan with an incredible 49 state win against former Vice President Walter Mondale, who barely won his home state and carried D.C. The Electoral College victory was 525 to 13, raw vote 58.8 percent to 40.6. To me that says it all about the confidence America had in Ronald Reagan.

History tells us that Reagan wasn’t a perfect man, but he was a great man. Reagan was able to shepherd American through some tough times. He defeated the Soviet Union without firing a shot. He brought new confidence to America, something that had been lacking. In time, it was the Reagan revolution that would end the 40 years of disastrous Democrat Party control of Congress, leading to a stunning victory for congressional Republicans in 1994.

It was truly Reagan’s moral compass, though, his strength and integrity, that made him such a great leader. A man among men. It was the moral clarity he had that allowed him to look into the eyes of the American people and tell them liberalism, communism, and socialism were evil. It was that same moral clarity that allowed him to stand at the Berlin Wall and demand, “Mr Gorbachev, tear down this wall!”

It was that same moral clarity, that same strength and integrity Reagan had then, that still makes being “like Ronald Reagan” so desired today.

So where do we take it from here? Who is “like Ronald Reagan”?

Some names that come to mind are people like Dick Cheney. Say what you will about the former Vice President – when he speaks, he speaks with moral clarity, strength, wisdom, and with the love of our nation in his heart.

Liz Cheney is her father’s daughter. She is sharp, tough, and has a solid footing. Then there is Michelle Bachmann. While not as well known, she is certainly cut from the Reagan cloth. Strong, forceful, and unwavering in her beliefs and values.

But one simply cannot talk about leaders who are like Ronald Reagan without bringing up Sarah Palin. The comparisons are easy to make. Like Reagan, Sarah Palin is a strong leader with moral clarity.

Sarah has shown this clarity throughout her career. From battling her mentor on the Wasilla city council over his attempt to use his position to set up a monopoly for his company, to her legendary battle with Frank Murkowski’s “Corrupt Bastards Club.”

For those that don’t know the story, Sarah had been appointed as Chairman of the powerful Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, the agency that regulates oil and natural gas in Alaska. Sarah had been appointed by Governor Murkowski after she had lost her bid for Lt. Governor. She was charged with overseeing ethics in her position.

Before long, Sarah realized she had a really corrupt shop. After being told to back off by her boss, the Governor, Sarah stepped down, “quit” as they say. Had to be a really tough decision. This was a high paying gig, six figures, and a powerful position from which to launch herself to even more powerful positions. After all, Sarah’s star was on the rise!

After Sarah “quit” she made it her project to go after the bad actors. As a result, she went after pretty much the entire Republican Party leadership, a profile in courage in itself, and a sure fire case of political suicide. In the end, some went to prison, some paid fines, others were forced to resign. Then she ran for and won the governorship.

Once in office, she was a strong leader. She was able to bring about sweeping changes and one by one fulfilled her campaign promises.

Claude Sandroff over at the American Thinker talks about the virtue of Sarah Palin. We all know the story of her post-election experiences. Before Sarah ran for Vice President, the Republican Party, still smarting from the reforms she brought and the folks she took down, wasn’t exactly pleased with her, but she had a fairly cordial relationship with the Alaska Democrats in the legislature.

Then came the campaign. It has been well documented that Barack Obama brought Chicago style politics to Alaska through his campaign chief-of-staff, Pete Rouse, and Rouse’s longtime friendship with Alaska State Senator, Kim Elton. Their attempt to derail Sarah with the phony “Troopergate” witch hunt is also well documented

After Sarah lost her in her effort to be Vice President, no one would have thought the Alaska Mafia would have remained so dedicated to the Chicago masters, but how many times has a losing vice presidential candidate become even more popular and sought after!

The word came out from on high to keep the pressure on, and the Mafia started recruiting folks to file phony ethics complaints against her. There was already one misguided woman, Andree McLeod, who made a career out of filing outrageous complaints. But the rest were all manufactured to damage Sarah, by using a favorite Democrat/communist tactic, right out of Saul Alinsky’s “Rules.”

This is where Sarah’s strength, courage, and moral clarity came into play. It would have been very simple to sit still and fight this stuff. I mean these charges were all nonsense, and all were thrown out. But the more she resisted, the more the Mafia filed, and at a quicker pace. And these leaches on society had not only cost Sarah personally, they had also effectively stopped her government from functioning and cost the taxpayers almost $2 million processing this mess. And if the pace of the complaints stayed the same for the rest of her term, these thieves were on track to cost the Alaska taxpayers as much as $10 million.

A lot of politicians would have stayed. They would have clung to power at all cost. Not Sarah Palin. As Sandroff puts it, this was:

“The very essence of virtue. It was Sir Thomas More resigning as Lord Chancellor and George Washington returning to Mount Vernon. It showed how rare virtue has become in our politics. It shows why we adore Sarah Palin and why we need her. And it explains why, even without office, she has become the most important political figure in America.”

One can only imagine the struggle Sarah had with this – or maybe it wasn’t a real struggle at all. Earlier in the year, just before a trip to visit her troops in Kosovo, Sarah Palin introduced Michael Reagan, the son of Ronald Reagan, at an event in Anchorage. While talking about how badly her critics wanted her to shut up and go away, she said this:

“They want me to sit down and shut up. But I won’t sit down, and I won’t shut up. Politically speaking, if I die, I die, but I will know I have spoken up! Stand up, speak up, be bold! Forget political correctness!”

History shows that Sarah has not sat down, and is not shutting up! At the time, many could not understand what Sarah was doing when she “quit.” These people simply didn’t understand her unwinnable situation. These are the types who would have “fought to the end,” costing their constituents more tax dollars, and damaging their state.

This was a stroke of genius though, and one I believe Ronald Reagan would have understood. Sarah, a star basketball player, was simply passing the ball off to someone, Sean Parnell, who could continue on with her policies, and not be hassled.

Now that is a nice story, as far as it goes. A compelling one, in fact. But it is not the only reason why Sarah Palin is “like Ronald Reagan.”

No one can argue she is powerful. Who in the world but Sarah Palin can change the entire national debate with a few paragraphs posted on a networking website?

Sarah Palin not only had the moral clarity to understand exactly what Obamacare is, she was also able to distill it all down to a level of basic understanding. Her “death panels” said it all. And it wasn’t just the fact Sarah understood that Obamacare would most certainly lead to the rationing of care – she had the courage to say it the way she said it. She knew full well the wrath of both political parties, as well as the fringe media – Obama’s media – would come at her with full force. Sarah called Obamacare “downright evil.”

We all know Ronald Reagan had moral clarity regarding the Soviet Union. He called them an “evil empire.” His critics in both parties, lost it every time he did this, but it didn’t stop him from saying it.

Before Reagan’s famous “tear down that wall” comment in his speech in Berlin, his advisers were telling him “no way” and to steer clear of that sort of thing. They had to be resuscitated after he said it! But Reagan knew in his heart it needed to be said.

Reagan lived to see the Berlin wall come down and to see millions of East Germans become free.

Before Sarah took up the fight, critics of Obamacare might as well have been talking to their houseplants. They were trying to nuance things. Trying to be “statesmen,” at least in their minds.

Sarah looked at this mess, saw great evil. She saw a situation, that if continued, would lead America to certain disaster, and cause all Americans to lose precious liberties and freedoms. It’s that ability to not only recognize evil wherever you see it but to also have the courage to do something about it.

While the other so-called leaders in the Republican party were saying “slow down” Sarah wrote, “Not no, but HELL no!”

Because of Sarah Palin and her inspiration to others, Obamacare is in shambles. And that gives us another “like Ronald Reagan” trait. Sarah Palin inspires people.

Sarah has been inspiring people for a long time, but her speech at the 2008 Republican National Convention was huge. Expectations were high, and she hit a home run. As Michael Reagan wrote days later in a column titled “Welcome Back Dad“:

“I’ve been trying to convince my fellow conservatives that they have been wasting their time in a fruitless quest for a new Ronald Reagan to emerge and lead our party and our nation. I insisted that we’d never see his like again because he was one of a kind.

I was wrong!

Wednesday night I watched the Republican National Convention on television and there, before my very eyes, I saw my Dad reborn; only this time he’s a she.

And what a she!

In one blockbuster of a speech, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin resurrected my Dad’s indomitable spirit and sent it soaring above the convention center, shooting shock waves through the cynical media’s assigned spaces and electrifying the huge audience with the kind of inspiring rhetoric we haven’t heard since my Dad left the scene.”

After Ronald Reagan lost his presidential primary bid to Gerald Ford in 1976, most considered him washed up, a has been. Critics in both parties called him stupid, lazy, naive, inexperienced, even though he had been Governor of California! He was a B-Movie actor. Some even said Reagan was dangerous!

Reagan was from tiny Tampico, Illinois. He went to the “wrong” school, Eureka College. And Reagan was a small-town country boy at heart his entire life.

The Democrats hated Reagan with a passion, and so did the blue-blood, country club elite Rockefeller Republicans. The American people loved Reagan, though, and obviously still do. God bless Ronald Reagan, and may his spirit always remain the spirit that inspires us all.

Barack Obama’s Dr. Death Cuts And Runs When Confronted About His Nazi-Like Death Panels, And Other Bedtime Stories About Czars!

In the above video, panelists warn of the revival of eugenics under Barack Obama’s government health care takeover, through the denial of care to millions who would be judged not fit to live, just as in Nazi Germany.

Historian Anton Chaitkin does a wonderful job of exposing Dr. Death, who then realizes he has other business to attend to, and bails out before he really has to answer the allegations. As you heard on the tape, another unidentified attendee tries to ask a question about Dr. Death’s support of assisted suicide, which is quickly brushed aside.

Dr. Death, is basically a coward! If you are going to have the sort of disturbing notions this guy has, then you should be made to sit and defend them. But I guess it’s hard to defend the indefensible.

A few weeks back Sarah Palin introduced the nation to Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, Barack Obama’s “health adviser” and brother of White House Chief-of-Staff, Rahm Emanuel. In other words, Dr. Death.

When Sarah coined the term “death panels” she had Dr. Death in mind.

Now it’s been fun watching democrat/communists and ignorant Republicans scramble and try to say there are no “death panels.” Or even more hilarious, try and claim the so-called “end of life counseling” wasn’t a “death panel” but a good thing. Hell, I’ve even seen politicians and people that I actually thought had a half a brain go down this road. Very disappointing, but at least it helped me learn who not to worry about listening to any more!

You see Sarah Palin, and others, never mentioned “end of life counseling “or said it was a bad thing. As some of the left wing correctly noted (yes, I know, there truly IS a first time for everything) Sarah herself had passed a resolution as Governor of Alaska urging seniors to talk to their doctors and family about end of life decisions, and living wills. Of course, these weren’t to be government mandated programs, she was merely wanting to make sure seniors know these services were available through doctors and attorneys.

Oh the democrat/communists had Sarah now. They had her with the strawberries!

Well, not quite. You see unlike most of the media, and pretty much all of the politicians, on both sides, Sarah had actually done her homework on Obama, and his radical friends. Remember that warning she gave you about who Obama was “palin’ around with?” Well, as we have seen with Van Jones, Jeff Jones, Cass Sunstein, Mark Lloyd, Dr Death, and God only knows how many more, violent terrorist Bill Ayers was just the tip of a very large iceberg!

What we now know about Dr Death is that he, like many of Obama’s so-called Czars, is an absolute loon. I mean crazy, insane, perhaps psychotic. Dr Death is one of the main characters, in what would be a horribly cheesy SciFi movie, if he didn’t actually have the full attention of the President of the United States!

I know some of our more gentle readers get a bit weak in the knees when we start talking Nazis and the Obama administration, but other than early 20th Century American “progressives” who were very strong believers in eugenics, nothing and no one else can compare the group of truly evil men and woman that Obama has chosen to advise him on his Obamacare fiasco, as well as other misadventures he has planned.

Dr Death has been appointed to two key positions: health-policy adviser at the Office of Management and Budget and a member of Federal Council on Comparative Effectiveness Research.

Here are some of the various thoughts Dr Death has expressed regarding the administration of health care:

Vague promises of savings from cutting waste, enhancing prevention and wellness, installing electronic medical records and improving quality are merely ‘lipstick’ cost control, more for show and public relations than for true change.

Savings,, will require changing how doctors think about their patients: Doctors take the Hippocratic Oath too seriously, “as an imperative to do everything for the patient regardless of the cost or effects on others”

Yeah, you heard that right. Dr. Death thinks that other doctors should just blow off their sacred Hippocratic Oath, for the “greater good!” I mean why give quality care to the old people, who worked all of their lives and made American the great nation it is, when someone younger might benefit more!

Dr. Death wants doctors to look beyond the needs of their patients and consider social justice, such as whether the money could be better spent on somebody else. “Social justice” is a communist code phrase that basically means income or wealth distribution.

All of a sudden old Joe-the-Plumber isn’t looking so stupid anymore, is he! He too tried to warn America about Obama and his desire the “spread the wealth.”

Emanuel believes that “communitarianism” should guide decisions on who gets care. He says medical care should be reserved for the non-disabled, not given to those “who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens . . . An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia”

Translation: Don’t give much care to a grandmother with Parkinson’s or a child with cerebral palsy. Or children with Downs Syndrome. Gee, no wonder Sarah Palin doesn’t think very highly of this guy!

Here is how this obviously disturbed man justifies this:

Unlike allocation by sex or race, allocation by age is not invidious discrimination; every person lives through different life stages rather than being a single age. Even if 25-year-olds receive priority over 65-year-olds, everyone who is 65 years now was previously 25 years”

Now, did you follow that nonsense?

Basically he is saying that because you might have benefitted from superior health care when you 25, you are no longer entitled to it at age 65, because, well, you benefitted from it when you were 25!

Most 25 year olds are indestructible, at least in their own mind! Unless they are indeed disabled, which would doom them to those “death panels,” 25 year olds don’t need a lot of maintenance! Only a severe injury would normally see a healthy 25 year old needing a great deal of medical care and attention.

On the other hand, at 65, a productive member of society, someone who worked all of their adult life, and more than likely even as a youngster, will indeed need more medical care. I’m a long way from 65, but I’m also well past 25, and I can testify that as we get older, we find the need for more care!

Now in the sane world, the one we live in, someone at age 65, a person who helped make America the greatest nation on earth, someone who contributed a lifetime to working hard, rasing a family, and in the words of the communist, contributed to the “greater good”, doesn’t deserve to be forgotten, left to suffer from ailments that are easily treatable in America, and have been for decades, simply so someone else can have treatment.

Communism is evil in all of it’s forms. It is immoral for the government to steal money from those who earn the money and create society, and give it to those who don’t. If wealth distribution is evil, then what can we say of arbitrary health care re-distribution?

As communism and socialism are simply different sides of the same coin, I find this quote quite appropriate:

Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy. It’s inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

Dr Death believes in the so-called Complete Lives System. He has written:

Because none of the currently used systems satisfy all ethical requirements for just allocation, we propose an alternative:

Youngest-first, prognosis, save the most lives, lottery, and instrumental value..… When implemented, the complete lives system produces a priority curve on which individuals aged between roughly 15 and 40 years get the most substantial chance, whereas the youngest and oldest people get chances that are attenuated … the complete lives system is least vulnerable to corruption. Age can be established quickly and accurately from identity documents. Prognosis allocation encourages physicians to improve patients’ health, unlike the perverse incentives to sicken patients or misrepresent health that the sickest-first allocation creates.

We evaluate eight simple allocation principles that can be classified into four categories: treating people equally, favouring the worst-off, maximising total benefits, and promoting and rewarding social usefulness. No single principle is sufficient to incorporate all morally relevant considerations and therefore individual principles must be combined into multiprinciple allocation systems. We evaluate three systems: the United Network for Organ Sharing points systems, quality-adjusted life-years, and disability-adjusted life-years. We recommend an alternative system—the complete lives system—which prioritises younger people who have not yet lived a complete life, and also incorporates prognosis, save the most lives, lottery, and instrumental value principles.

If you have been following the news, you’ll know that some provinces in Canada already have monthly lotteries to assign patients to doctors. How’s that for establishing a death panel!

Lest you think Dr Death is the only disturbing person advising Obama, fear not, he has literally dozens of these loons ready, willing, and able to play the lead role in this bad horror flick!

Let’s look at Cass Sunstein, Obama’s “Regulation’s Czar.” Now this guy will be turned loose on almost every facet of American life and allowed to force feed you his wild schemes.

One of Sunstein’s notions is that your organs do not belong to you, and that at your death, the state should be able to harvest your organs, for use elsewhere. Now on the one hand, it’s not like you will be needing them or anything, but there are First Amendment issues here. Issues about freedom of religion. Some religions simply do not condone the desecration of the human body at death.

In the book Nudge: Improving Decisions About Health, Wealth, And Happiness, Sunstein laments that the main reason people don’t donate their organs is that they don’t choose to do so.

Evidently, for democrat/communists, it’s “hands off my body” when they want to murder babies, and most feel it is wrong, but “let me at ‘em” when they want to snatch your body parts!

Funny, the pro-death abortion proponents are constantly screaming about “freedom of choice.” Can someone please explain to me just how a democrat/communist’s brain processes that sort of logic?

One thing about it, between these death panels, assisted suicide lovers, and baby killers, one can really and truthfully state that the democrat/communist party is nothing more than a death cult that also wants to steal your hard earned money to do insane and unproductive things with!

Again, this would be fun to watch if it was just a bad movie, and you were kicked back drinking an adult beverage and laughing at these people. Unfortunately, all of this bunch has the sympathetic ear of the President of the United States!

Oh, and by the way, stealing your organs isn’t even CLOSE to being the most insane thing Cass Sunstein believes!

Like the Nazis before them, the current crop of democrat/communists that surround Obama are “nature freaks.” And I don’t mean like someone who enjoys hanging out in the great outdoors I’m talking freaks!

In 2002 Our man Sunstein said this:

“Any animals that are entitled to bring suit would be represented by (human) counsel, who would owe guardian-like obligations and make decisions, subject to those obligations, on their clients’ behalf.”

That’s right, this guy who Obama wants to put in charge of regulating pretty much everything you do, thinks animals should be able to sue humans! In another time this moron would be locked in a padded cell until he achieved room temperature!

I might remind you that Sunstein is a Harvard “legal scholar.” Reason number 11,347 to never send your kids to an Ivy League school, hire anyone who has even been to one, and for the love of all that is holy, never, ever vote for someone who went to one!

But wait, there’s more!

Now I won’t bore you with Van Jones, the radical cop hating racist, self avowed communist, and 9/11 truther. Thanks to Glenn Beck, this guy has been sent packing, back to being an obscure, hate filled nobody. But he too is an other example of the sort that Obama loves to surround himself with.

No, I want to talk to you about Obama’s science Czar.

John Holdren is one of those really crazy people who sit around all day and fret about overpopulation. But, thankfully, this one has just the plan. This loon actually believes he can make the case that our Constitution would allow the state to force women to have abortions if they had more than the officially sanctioned number of children people like him, and Barack Obama, deem proper!

Holdren has also favored forced sterilization or forced contraception. He wrote this:

Of course, a government might require only implantation of the contraceptive capsule, leaving its removal to the individual’s discretion but requiring reimplantation after childbirth. Since having a child would require positive action (removal of the capsule), many more births would be prevented than in the reverse situation.

This guy has all sorts of schemes in his pointy Ivy League educated head. One of his brilliant ideas was to put sterilization chemicals in the nation’s drink water.

Adding a sterilant to drinking water or staple foods is a suggestion that seems to horrify people more than most proposals for involuntary fertility control. Indeed, this would pose some very difficult political, legal, and social questions, to say nothing of the technical problems. No such sterilant exists today, nor does one appear to be under development.

To be acceptable, such a substance would have to meet some rather stiff requirements: it must be uniformly effective, despite widely varying doses received by individuals, and despite varying degrees of fertility and sensitivity among individuals; it must be free of dangerous or unpleasant side effects; and it must have no effect on members of the oposite sex, children, old people, pets, or livestock.

Again, there is no sign of such an agent on the horizon. And the risk of serious, unforeseen side effects would, in our opinion, militate against the use of any such agent, even though this plan has the advantage of avoiding the need for socioeconomic pressures that might tend to discriminate against particular groups or penalize children.

This sort of thing brings us back to the discussion of eugenics, and the above video. In the early 20th Century, eugenics were all the rage in America. All of the so-called intellectuals were enamored by the notion. One of the really prominent practitioners of this thought was Margaret Sanger. Sanger, who had ties to the Klan, founded Planned Parenthood as a way to rid the world of unwanted and undesirable children. She was naturally keen on aborting black babies, and this is truly one of the darkest legacies of the democrat/communist party. It is estimated that as many as 50 million black babies have been murdered by abortion over the decades.

Sanger, and her contemporaries were of great interest to Adolf Hitler, which of course, brings us full circle, and back to the Nazis. It was the American “progressive” movement that inspired Hitler with is idea for the Holocaust.

Now just in case you think these totally out of the mainstream and completely insane ideas do not reflect those of Barack Obama, allow me to point out that Obama supports infanticide. This is a truly barbaric act that is practiced when another barbaric act, late term abortion, is botched.

Basically, this ritual is practiced when an abortion mill doctor performs a late term abortion, but somehow botches the procedure and the baby survives, or, as normal humans call it, is born.

What is allowed to happen in these cases, is the new born baby is placed on a shelf, or in some dark closet until he or she perishes. It’s as inhumane as it comes. If only he or she was a puppy, Cass Sunstein would allow the baby to sue!

Now Obama is famous in the Illinois Senate for one thing, and one thing only, and that’s holding the record for voting “present” more than anything else. And yet, he managed to come out of his comma and vote against “born alive” legislation that would have outlawed this inhuman practice every time a bill would come up for a vote. Here’s the bottom line, Dr Death, Cass Sunstein, John Holdren, Barack Obama, and a whole cast of dozens more of these whacked-out Czars like them, have control of this nation. These Czars are illegal and unconstitutional. We must demand their removal. Every last one of them.

But you need to remember that these people want complete and total control of health care in America. And if you think that people who are in favor of forced sterilization, or forced organ harvesting don’t already have death panels ready to decide whether or not you are “worthy” of health care, then you have another thing coming.

Get off the couch, get in the game. Get involved and come together with like minded folks around you. Go to a tea party. Join the 9/12 Project. But get involved and don’t let up until all of these illegal and unconstitutional Czars have been sent packing. Don’t let up until Obama and the democrat/communists drop Obamacare and it is dead for good!

Then work as hard as you ever have in your life to help vote all of these people out of office in 2010 and 2012!

Then we can get real health care reform.

Confirmed: Sarah Palin To Be Keynote Speaker At CLSA Investor’s Forum In Hong Kong

Yes, I know, I am a tad late, but, as is policy, we don’t talk about Sarah Palin’s schedule unless Sarah or her spokeswoman, Meg Stapleton, has verified that Sarah is indeed going somewhere.

There are just too many flaky promoters using Sarah’s name to sell tickets, without a verification from Sarah, who then try to blame her when she doesn’t show at an event she had never committed to in the first place. So we are not going to help them with that scam.

As we reported earlier, Sarah has almost 1100 invitations to speak at events, both paid and unpaid. Her attorney, Robert Bennett, announced this week that she is almost finished writing her book, so is now accepting invitations. Sarah will speak to various groups on a variety of issues that matter to America, and the world.

Sarah will also be speaking on behalf conservative candidates that share her vision for America, as well as for various charities, like those who support special needs children, and the military and their families.

Sarah will be speaking in Hong Kong at the CLSA Investor’s Forum, an annual conference of global investment managers. Previous speakers at the event include President Bill Clinton, Alan Greenspan, and Al Gore. The forum is sponsored by the CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets.

Their company spokeswoman Simone Wheeler said in a statement:

“Our keynote speakers are notable luminaries who often address topics that go beyond traditional finance such as geopolitics,”.

“We just felt it would be a fabulous opportunity for CLSA clients to hear from Mrs. Palin,” Wheeler said, adding that CLSA approached Sarah with the offer.

Those who follow Sarah Palin know she has a lot of foreign trade experience to draw from. Obviously, Palin worked close with the Canadian government to put together her signature achievement, the natural gas pipeline, but she has had many dealings with nations throughout the South Pacific as well as Russia and Canada.

Back in January of this year, as part of the big kick off to Alaska’s 50^th birthday celebration, Sarah hosted a large contingent of dignitaries including Sergey Kislyak, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the United States, who was making his first visit to Alaska.

Ambassador Kislyak proclaimed:

Obviously, we are happy to see that Sarah is starting to accept speaking engagements. This is a very great way for her to get her message out to the world, make a lot of new friends, and build relationships.

It’s a good to remember that many leaders do this. Former Vice President Richard Nixon, after losing to John Kennedy in 1960, went on the speaking circuit and used that to propel him into the White House, and the great Ronald Reagan was a prolific speaker taking many engagements both before he became Governor of California as well as afterward. This helped Reagan become President of the United States, as well.

Alaskan Poet, Musician, And Firefighter Dewey Whetsell Praises Sarah Palin

Dewey Whetsell a longtime commercial fisherman, veteran fire fighter and fire chief, jazz musician, and poet from Alaska penned a very nice retort to all of those who would say Sarah Palin isn’t the real deal, a true leader.

Those who follow Alaska politics know these stories well, but the rest of America should understand this as well.

“The last 45 of my 66 years I’ve spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska. I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here’s the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets It’s not about persona, style, rhetoric, its about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I’m about to mention here.

1- Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governors office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republicans Corrupt Bastards Club (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits. The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing la la la la (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar. But while you’re thinking, I’ll continue.

2- Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So, she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called ACES. Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them don’t let the door hit you in the stern on your way out. They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar.

3- The other thing she did when she walked into the governors office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as pork. She went through the list, took 85% of them and placed them in the when-hell-freezes-over stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, well pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governors jet because it was extravagant. Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor’s cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never mentioning, I imagine, that she’s packing heat herself). I’m still waiting to hear the names of those other governors.

4- Now, even with her much-ridiculed gosh and golly mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn’t impress you, then you’re trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand.

5- For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn’t start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started. This summer, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out. They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again.

6- President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewables by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona . Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that’s just a cover-up. I’m still waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years. I wont be holding my breath.

By the way, she was content to to return to AK after the national election and go to work, but the haters wouldn’t let her. Now these adolescent screechers are obviously not scuba divers. And no one ever told them what happens when you continually jab and pester a barracuda. Without warning, it will spin around and tear your face off. Shoulda known better.

As we have been saying for a long time, Sarah Palin was an incredibly effective Governor, and a true servant of the people. The kind of woman who isn’t afraid of whatever challenge that faces her. As she has shown in the past few weeks, she is more than ready to take on big government, like she has big oil. And if Sarah Palin could tame Exxon-Mobil, I’m sure she will make quick work of D.C.!

BTW, even though she has given Exxon-Mobil absolute fits, they were more than happy to sign on as a partner in the Trans-Canada natural gas pipeline, her crowning achievement as Governor, that Dewey mentions in his letter.

People, like myself, who have followed Sarah for some time, understand the greatness of this woman. Sarah Palin is an American leader who has what is sorely needed today: The ability to get things done, good things for the people.

Forget POTUS and TOTUS The Real Power In America is LOTUS!

If you are even partially politically aware in this country, or saw the pilot episode of The West Wing, you know that POTUS stands for President of the United States. Kind of insider speak, if you will.

Now with our current President, we have been introduced to TOTUS, the Teleprompter of the United States. Anyone who has seen President Barack Obama speak both with the aid of TOTUS, and without his trusted friend by his side, knows that the tails TOTUS weaves on his blog, which you can read here, are true! Without TOTUS, Barack Obama is mostly a rambling, barely intelligible speaker, as shown here and here.

There is a lot of pressure on TOTUS, as well. Twice this year TOTUS has attempted to end it all as can be seen here and here. Though Allahpundit over at Hot Air thinks it might be something more nefarious.

But as we have found out, the real power in America lies not in POTUS or TOTUS, but in LOTUS, the Laptop of the United States!

Now unlike TOTUS, LOTUS does not take credit for being her owner’s actual brain.

Sarah Palin recently used LOTUS to completely set the health care debate on it’s ear!

As we talked about here, here, and here, Sarah and used her straight shooting style to put Barack Obama on the complete defensive over his incredibly sinister plan to destroy the American health care system and have the government take control of a huge segment of our economy.

As Ronald Reagan spoke of way back in 1961, socializing the health care in a nation is the first step to becoming a full on communist state. We know Barack Obama was born and raised a Saul Alinsky style communist, someone who thinks America is an evil country and must be changed. So trying to destroy the American health care system with a communist plan of “socialized medicine” is just par for the course for this guy.

As Sarah Palin has already said, Obamacare is pure evil!

Obamacare must be stopped.

Thankfully, armed with her powerful Laptop of the United States, Sarah Palin will keep a close watch on Barack Obama and continue to call him out every time he tries to destroy the greatest nation the world has ever know with one of his insane schemes!

Her latest effort was to employ LOTUS to talk about Obama’s plan to send billions of taxpayer dollars to Brazil so they can drill for oil offshore. Of course, Obama, his Chicago thugs, and the eviro-nuts, go insane if you talk about drilling for oil in our country.

Sarah Palin, The World’s Greatest: A Tribute

Sarah Palin scored a great victory for the American people this past week, while putting Barack Obama and the entire democrat/communist party on the defensive. Obama was even forced to postpone his vacation and attempt to save his liberty and freedom stealing Obamacare fiasco!

While Palin eloquently issued simple, but powerful, statements on the evils of Obamacare, Obama himself held townhall meetings where he had to have planted guests posing as regular Americans to throw him softball questions that he couldn’t even answer correctly.

Obama, who sounded confused, disjointed, and rambling not only failed to counter Sarah Palin’s strong charges, but dug himself a bigger hole with the American people, further destroying the little credibility he has with America’s citizenry.

It was an incredible victory for America, and for Sarah Palin.

Note to the GOP, this is how you defeat Barack Obama’s swift march to communism! You take Obama head on, and you never stop!

The Wall Street Journal’s James Taranto, wrote simply: Palin Wins.

The Rules Have Changed. Sarah Palin Changes Everything.

Back in the mid 1990’s The Chrysler Corporation went public with a really new and exciting business model. The company best known for the K-car and inventing the mini-van at that point in time, had spent a lot of time behind the scenes to totally remake the company. They threw everything out, and started fresh. New “cab-forward” styling on their cars, and a brand new pickup truck, the first completely new truck in 25 years, and a completely refocused management, design, and manufacturing team.

Chrysler became the most exciting car company around. Envied by the other manufacturers. It really was the rebirth of a company that since the it’s formation had always been recognized as one of the best at engineering. This brought Chrysler back in a big way. Record sales, especially in trucks, helped Chrysler show healthy profits. If fact, Chrysler became so successful, Mercedes-Benz would soon come knocking with a bundle of cash and an offer!

The Dodge Division of Chrysler was in a really good place. They not only had a pick-up truck that just knocked people’s socks off! They had a world class sedan in the Intrepid. There was a new mini-van, and at the time Chrysler ruled that market with over 50 percent share. And Dodge really shook things up with the Viper, an incredible hand built sports car/muscle car that just had to be driven to be appreciated.

Dodge had a great slogan they used among the dealers and employees:

“The rules have changed! This changes everything!”

This was a real rallying point. Nothing like being in a room with hundreds of dealers and having the Dodge folks yelling “the rules have…” followed by the dealers screaming “changed!”, followed by “this changes…” “EVERYTHING!” shouted by Dodge folks and the dealers respectively.

Well, I’m here to tell you, with Sarah Palin, the rules have changed!

Look, much like Chrysler’s history, the Republican party was known for solid core principles. This dates back to Abraham Lincoln. And just like Chrysler, the party has had it’s ups and downs. It’s had periods of great highs and low lows.

One of the very best eras for the party was during the Reagan years. In car guy terminology, this was like the muscle car era when Chrysler’s Hemi(c) engine was introduced and was unbeatable on the race track. NASCAR actually ended up banning the thing and NHRA factored it into oblivion.

Ronald Reagan was that dominant as well. To this day he still inspires millions.

And of course, there were those heady days in the mid 1990’s when the Republicans, led by Newt Gingrich and others took back Congress. That was the culmination of the Reagan Revolution.

But sadly, the Grand Old Party is currently in the K-car business. Utilitarian and somewhat solid, but not exciting, and devoid of any real leadership or ideas. Now for sure, there are some exceptions, there always are. But basically, the GOP is at this point.. Not bad, but certainly not great.

Then there is Sarah Palin.

Sarah defies political definitions and traditions. Yes, she is a true conservative, a novelty in itself in the Republican party these days, but this woman is unconventional, to say the least! Just the fact that she is a woman is a big deal. While there are a lot of women in politics, and a lot of Republican women in key roles, none have the shear magnetism and gravitas Sarah Palin has.

Sarah is different from any politician out there. For one thing, she’s not a Beltway hack. Sarah Palin is an outsider. You can’t be more outside the Beltway than Alaska! Palin is someone who speaks her mind, and when she speaks, people listen. And, unlike most, Sarah Palin says what she means, and means what she says. Unheard of in Washington. In fact, Palin is so straightforward, that many either refuse to believe it, or simply can’t comprehend it.

Case in point: When Sarah gave her Independence Speech on July 3, most of the “elites” in politics, and the media claimed they “couldn’t understand her” or as one put it, they needed “Rosetta Stone” to help them decipher!

Funny thing, millions of us regular folk understood exactly what she was saying. Far from “rambling and incoherent” which has become the state run media’s talking point, Palin simply spelled out what she had achieved in her time as Governor, a lengthy list by anyone’s standard. She also explained why she was doing this. Of course, there were several reasons for Sarah’s decision to step down. This is a complicated situation, the fact of which seemed to fly right over the heads of the elitists.

Not to rehash the whole thing, but one huge factor was the fact the democrat operatives were basically stealing millions of dollars from the Alaska tax payers by filing so many bogus ethics complaints, all of which had zero credibility or merit.

Then there was the personal cost. These democrats have cost Palin and her family over a half million dollars in legal fees, defending false accusations. Palin actually had to set up a legal defense fund to help pay her bills. Of course, this is not uncommon. Many big name politicians have has to do this. But to hear the democrats tell it, Sarah is the first politician ever to do this. They’ve actually filed complaints because she is defending herself against all of the complaints! They even managed to get someone from Barack Obama’s law firm, Perkins Coie to play “special investigator” in this deal! And no one seems to see a conflict of interest by having Thomas Daniel “investigating” Sarah Palin!

Basically the democrats had ground Palin’s government to a halt. Nothing was getting done. That bothers Sarah immensely. Sarah is a doer. And someone who is all about getting things done doesn’t allow themselves to be halted for long!

Now one other thing that helped Sarah make her decision was the fact that to the media, and the democrats, her children absolutely fair game. Everyone knows the details, so I won’t waste your time, but the really low point was the concerted and coordinated effort to attack her youngest, Trig, who has downs syndrome. Even for democrats, this was as low as it gets.

But, the media conveniently overlooked one of the really important reasons for Sarah’s decision to step down and redeploy her efforts. Maybe since common sense is in short supply among the media and the Beltway elites, the idea of a politician stepping down voluntarily for a higher calling seems silly. To that bunch it’s all about acquiring power and never letting go. This is why they all complained that Palin’s speech was “incoherent!”

Of all of the reasons Sarah is stepping down over, the one big reason, in my mind, is her love of country. Her deep patriotism. Her sense of duty.

Sarah knows that Barack Obama is heading us on a road to ruin with his communist ideals. Obama’s plans are destroying the economy and destroying our liberty and freedom. And he is doing it at breakneck speed!

Sarah, a fiscal conservative, who slashed Alaska’s budget by nearly 17 percent for FY 2010, sees that Barack Obama has spent more money and created more debt than all of the previous 43 Presidents combined. Palin instinctively knows that Obama and the democrats are bankrupting the country, and stealing our grandchildren’s future.

Sarah also knows we need energy independence and has actually taken concrete steps toward that effort. Palin knows the nation’s economy runs on energy. Cheap, plentiful energy. This is a foreign concept to the democrats and Obama.

Sarah understands instinctively that schemes like cap and tax, and the government take over of the health care industry, are destructive to the economy, will cause massive job loss, and will destroy freedom and liberty.

Sarah gets national security. In fact, according to A.B. Culvahouse, the high powered D.C. attorney, and former Reagan advisor, who vetted all of John McCain’s prospective vice presidential candidates, Palin’s offer to be the vice presidential candidate came after her solid answers on three national security questions.

Like the rest of us, Sarah looks at Barack Obama and sees Neville Chamberlain, wrapped up in Jimmy Carter, and seasoned with a good dose of naivete. This is a dangerous world, and this is no time to be the appeaser-in-chief, or the apologist-in-chief.

So, what’s a girl to do?

Well, if you are Sarah Palin and know that Obama and his minions must be stopped and stopped now, before he and his gang do irreparable damage to our nation, you can’t sit idly by and watch.

Sarah knows she couldn’t be effective as Governor. Never mind the fact that the democrats in Alaska, the anklebiters, went insane every time she even thought about leaving the state. And logistically, Alaska is too far away from the rest of the country. So it makes sense for Sarah to step down, so she can step up.

The media elites and the establishment Republicans can’t comprehend the fact that one doesn’t have to be in any sort of political office to effect change. They certainly can’t comprehend anyone giving up what they perceive as power. These cats are the ones who have to be dragged kicking and screaming out of somewhere once they have wore out their welcome!

The media elites and the good old boys in the GOP don’t know Sarah Palin!

The story of Palin is that of a true reformer. She has done it since her earliest days as a Wasilla councilwoman, where she battled with a fellow council member over ethics. Nick Carney, the council member that actually encouraged her to run for office in the first place, had a waste management business. Not a shock, most small town council members and mayors do have some sort of business. But Carney was pushing for an ordinance that would have basically given his company a monopoly in and around Wasilla for garbage collection. Even though they were friends, Sarah fought and defeated the measure, and thus, a reformer was born.

The most well known story is how Sarah cleaned up corruption at the AOGCC. The oil and natural gas commission she chaired. This was pure Sarah Palin.

After being term limited as mayor, Palin ran for Lt. Governor. Even though she didn’t win, Palin caught the eye of Governor Frank Murkowski. Murkowski appointed her to the AOGCC. This is a powerful, good paying job. So what happened next had to be a tough decision to make.

There was a serious good old boy network in and around the oil business in Alaska. Many of the state GOP party officials worked at Palin’s agency. Most notably party chair Randy Ruedrich and former attorney general Gregg Renkes. There were major conflicts of interests between AOGCC people and those in the oil, and coal businesses which the commission regulates. Additionally, Ruedrich was known to spend a lot of company time doing party business.

When Palin tried to fix these issues, tried to clean house, she met incredible resistence. Her boss, the Governor wanted to protect his boys! In what had to be a painful decision, Sarah Palin decided to resign. She “quit.” But, she didn’t really quit!

Now just like today, all of the so-called experts said she was “committing political suicide” was destroying her chances of ever being in politics again. It seem they was slightly incorrect!

You see, far from quitting, Sarah Palin had only begun to fight! In the end, resignations were tendered, fines were paid, and some ended up in prison. As a private citizen, Sarah Palin basically took down the whole Republican establishment. No wonder the establishment types hate her!

Sarah wasn’t done quite yet though. Her next move was to run for Governor of Alaska. She beat Murkowski in the Republican primary in a landslide and then took on popular former democrat Governor Tony Knowles and beat him convincingly.

This is the history of Sarah Palin that the state run media, and Beltway elites either ignore or simply don’t understand. For someone like Sarah, an out-of-the-box thinker, and an incredibly unconventional politician, it makes perfect sense to “give up power” and step down as Governor. Just like she saw an unwinnable situation over at the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, she saw an unwinnable situation if she stayed on as Governor.

Anyone paying attention knows that Sarah Palin is not going to fade into the woodwork. Palin has already said that she is ready to come to the lower 48 and support pro-American conservative candidates. She wants to promote candidates that share her philosophy of small government, fiscal responsibility, strong national security, and energy independence.

Sarah already has speaking engagements lined up and more invites than one can imagine. If you are one of the nearly 120,000 people who follow her on twitter, you know Sarah is chomping at the bit wanting to get busy. She’s been dropping a lot of hints, and going after Obama. She will have a new account after she leaves office, and has promised it will be less “politically correct!” More of a Sarahcuda unleashed!

I did get a kick out of this tweet from Friday night:

Detroit Down” & “Rollin”: “Aint gonna shut my mouth/I know there’s got to be a few hundred million more like me/just trying to keep it free”

That pairs up quite nicely with her comment made in June in Anchorage at an event honoring Michael Reagan. Sarah was talking about how bad of a shape the nation is, and how Barack Obama’s policies were doing grave damage. She spoke of how all of her critics wanted her to just sit down and shut up. She said this:

“Politically, if I die, I die, but I won’t sit down, and I won’t shut up!” She then added: “Stand up, speak up, and be bold! Screw political correctness!”

Words to live by.

And that in a nutshell is what Sarah Palin is all about. This is someone who doesn’t care if she has hurt her chances of ever holding public office again, she has bigger fish to fry!

Sarah has a deep love for this nation. She has a love that will not allow her to just go with the flow. As she said in her Independence Day speech: “Dead fish go with the flow!”

Sarah Palin has guts, something sorely lacking nowadays. She is fearless. Sarah sees the dire situation we are in and has decided that since no one else is answering the call with full force and determination, that she will do it herself. With Sarah Palin, the rules have changed.

No one knows where this journey will take her. But we all know it will be exciting and productive. Frankly, if all Sarah accomplishes is getting a great number of conservatives elected and helps take back Congress so we can stop Obama and start reversing all of the damage he has done, she will forever be remembered as a patriot.

But Sarah Palin is a unique figure in American politics. She draws huge crowds wherever she goes. And once she has these crowds she doesn’t fill their ears with empty rhetoric like that hopey-changey guy we know. Sarah talks substance and policy. That will prove problematic for the unicorn and rainbow salesman-in-chief!

Look for Sarah to energize the nation. To lead a real movement in this country. She has the Republican base. In fact, latest polls show she has a 76 percent approval rating among all Republicans. And her numbers among independents, and even moderate democrats are growing.

Much like Ronald Reagan, Sarah has the ability to build a strong coalition of common sense Americans who have had their fill of business as usual in Washington. A coalition, that if she chooses, can propel her into the White House in 2012.

By seizing the moment and breaking all of the rules, Sarah Palin will be able to turn the Republican brand around. She can bring it back to it’s solid conservative roots. Sarah can transform the GOP from the K-car of politics to the most dynamic and exciting brand going!

George Soros Group Attacking Sarah Palin Again

I’ve written before about some of the connections between the groups attacking Sarah Palin and both George Soros and Barack Obama. They are all intertwined. And as Soros’ group MoveOn.org famously said after the 2004 presidential election, regarding the democrat party: “It’s ours, we paid for it!”

MoveOn came into being during the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal that saw President Clinton impeached for lying under oath during a sexual harassment law suit, as well as suborning perjury when he asked Monica Lewinsky to do the same.

The who idea was to get America to “move on” from the Lewinsky scandal. Since then, the Soros funded group has morphed into just another arm of the democrat party.

I have referred to Soros as a real live version of the James Bond villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld, or even a non endearing version of Mike Myers’ Dr Evil. But there is absolutely nothing funny about Soros, and unfortunately, there is no 007 working to stop him. But make no mistake, Soros is just as dangerous as anything to come out of Ian Fleming’s fertile imagination.

As this little primer points out, Soros is an evil man who has spent a lifetime destroying others for his benefit. He survived WWII by being a Nazi collaborator. He made in billions by manipulating currency, and profiting off of others suffering. He is very far left leaning, is most definitely a communist, like Barack Obama.

My friend, the Red Diva has put together a great bit of information on George Soros, a follow the money sort of thing that I’d like to share with all of you. With her permission, of course.

Governor Sarah Palin’s resignation speech of July 3, 2008, along with the reasons she provided, were obviously exactly what the Palin supporters wanted to hear. When the funding report for Palin’s SarahPAC was filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC), the Anchorage Daily News (ADN) reported that through June 30, the political action fund had received almost $733,000 in donations since being established roughly six months ago. Meg Stapleton, SarahPAC spokesperson, added that since the resignation announcement, another $200,000 has been received.

Following her announcement in early July, Governor Palin began speaking out about the injustice she sees with Mr. Obama’s new policies for America. One of the areas in which the knowledge and wisdom of Sarah Palin should have special attention paid is her expertise in the field of energy. She wrote an op-ed piece which appeared in the Washington Post on July 14, 2009. She correctly pointed out the short-comings of the cap-and-trade bill Mr. Obama has pushed so secretively to the American people using his Democrat – controlled Congress.

On a day when Andree McLeod filed yet another ethics charge (number 20, if you’re counting), CNN is now reporting that MoveOn.org has begun sending e-mails to its members asking them to fund a response ad “blasting Palin’s new Washington Post op-ed. “MoveOn.org is trying to make the supporters of Governor Palin believe that her article was “a marvel of misinformation and outright lies.” Her supporters, of course, will not believe this effort to smear Governor Palin’s wealth of knowledge in this area, but rest assured this is nothing more than another George Soros attack.

George Soros is the “pocket” the money is coming from to fund the Democratic Party attacks on Governor Palin, and he has plenty of it to dole out. MoveOn.org is just one of the many front organizations allowing him to more securely implant Socialism into America. His OSI (Open Society Institute) is the manner he uses to fund all of his puppet organizations, only one of which is the Democratic Party.

He and his “institutes” and “organizations” provided the money that has been used in every effort to belittle Governor Palin. ACORN, Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, is also behind the voter fraud that occurred during the presidential election of 2008 in various states, and he had the money to dissuade the states involved from pursuing the illegalities in a court of law where they should have been taken for criminal prosecution.

There have been times when it is painfully obvious that George Soros is behind all of these efforts. Such was the case in the CREW (Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington) attempt to dissuade the positive public opinion of Governor Palin as they sought an FOIA in the Troopergate matter as well as the formal complaint they filed with the Federal Elections Commission in regards to the clothing purchased for her and her family by the Republican National Committee.

Please note I too Have written about Barack Obama’s direct involvement in the troopergate smear, in which Governor Palin was ultimately found innocent of any wrong doing. Of course, the damage was done, as her exoneration didn’t come until after the Presidential election. Obama managed to payoff Alaska Senator Kim Elton with a make work job at the Dept of Interior for his services in trying to hurt Governor Palin. Chicago politics at it’s finest!

The previously mentioned ACORN involvement in the Democratic Party, LaRaza and Supreme Court appointee Sotomayer, and this newest MoveOn.org effort are also obvious attempts by George Soros to bring this coup against our Democracy and convert it to Socialism.

The fact that he “owns” the Democratic Party by the very donations that he makes both personally and through his front groups directly involves him in the attempts to ruin, both politically and personally, Governor Sarah Palin. His goal of a Socialist America is directly threatened by her and her supporters from grass-roots America. He knows that as long as she is speaking out, people will listen. He recognizes that the best way to halt her progress is to provide reasons to doubt her veracity.

What he hasn’t counted on is that the American people are not excited about having strings attached to our arms and legs and manipulated to do his bidding. Many of the American people are not, that is, because it does appear that the Democrats in America are willing. So far, they’ve been doing his bidding with what must be considered, by Soros, as disastrous results.

This latest attempt will end the same way.

Part of the methodology George Soros uses behind the scenes is known as the “Cloward – Piven” strategy. Cloward-Piven is a strategy for forcing political change through orchestrated crisis.

First proposed in 1966 by Columbia University political scientists Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, the initial plan was to bankrupt the welfare system in America and introduce what could be considered as a radical change in replacing it. The main idea is to use a strategy of introducing crises.

The Cloward-Piven approach in this instance called for the welfare rolls to be swamped with new applications which would result in economic collapse leading to political turmoil and ultimately to Socialism.

The welfare crisis that bankrupted New York City in 1975 was the result of the use of this strategy by The National Welfare Rights Organization (NWRO), founded by African-American militant George Alvin Wiley.

From the NWRO grew new movements such as the Living Wage Movement and the Voting Rights Movement, both of which are reliant upon ACORN, a George Soros front-group, depending heavily upon the financial support from another George Soros front-group, Open Society Institute.

The Cloward-Piven plan uses “aggressive community organizers” to create a crisis of militancy. Intimidated by violence, politicians would appeal to the federal government for assistance in handling the “crisis” through carefully orchestrated media campaigns by leftwing journalists to introduce a federal program of income redistribution much like Mr. Obama’s “share the wealth” plan during his presidential campaign.

Although the goal of the Cloward-Piven strategy itself was a Marxist society, George Soros has adopted it to his ideas of Socialism, put it to work in the Democratic Party, and with his careful honing of some of the “rough spots” made it into a much more efficient weapon against the American people than the original developers could have hoped.

This is the strategy George Soros is using against Governor Sarah Palin. It can be seen in the fact that as this article is written, twenty ethics complaints have been filed in Alaska by Alaskans who have been “bought and paid for” by the George Soros-funded and Cloward-Pivens Strategy-driven Alaska Democratic Party. It is the same strategy Soros has used and is using to force Socialism on the American people using one of his puppets, Barack Obama

Sarah Palin Declares War, The Media Declares Itself Irrelevant, And The Crazies Prove Sarah’s Point!

I am continually amazed by the media. And not just the state run media, you know, all of those who have the slobbering love affair with Obama. I mean you kinda expect that. They worked so darned hard to get him elected and want to keep him there. Fend off any challenger, especially one who stands an incredible good chance of beating him.

But the ones that get me are the so-called conservatives. I know much of it has to do with the beltway mentality. The old Washington/New York elite. The ones that don’t get out of the big city and mix with the great unwashed, ever.

Frankly, to me, it’s like an episode of the Twilight Zone!

The normal Americans who have taken time to hear Sarah’s Independence Weekend Speech understood every single word she said. (and yes, to her, the timing so close to Independence Day was symbolic)

It was a call to action.

But…but…but…she QUIT!

Did she?

That’s the meme that seems to be universal among these geniuses.

This is where I start to realize that higher learning is a total waste of time if you have the comprehension level of much of today’s pundits.

Now in the most technical of terms, yeah, Sarah quit. But that says nothing.

Let’s look at where Sarah’s thinking seems to have been.

As I wrote earlier, the clues have been there that something was up, but not knowing what was going on inside her mind, we missed them. It’s obvious that once she toured the nation and spoke to so many people that she was inspired by Americans just as much as they were inspired by her.

Something else that has been very plain from all of Sarah’s speeches to major groups, especially those that get national coverage, is that she is very troubled by what is going on in our nation. Sarah has always been an advocate for energy independence, she’s really the go to guy on that sort of thing. But she is also a big advocate for small government and fiscal responsibility.

With the democrat party trying to ram the most disastrous energy policy one could ever dream up, one that amounts to the largest tax increase ever imposed on mankind, and doesn’t create a drop of energy, there are issues, to say the least.

And of course, Obama and his comrades in Congress are big government hacks on steroids. Obama and the rest of his crew think that government is the end all, be all, to life. That government should control every facet of one’s life. (But not theirs, they’re special) Obama couldn’t care less about our Constitution. From the banks to auto companies (and voiding investor contracts) to regulating people’s pay, to even passing a “special tax” for a handful of people to punish them for excepting pay they legally earned, Obama has our founders spinning in their graves.

Even Hugo Chavez stated that Obama was more left wing than either he, or Fidel Castro!

The really best part? Thanks to Comrade Obama, we actually have more czars than Russia ever did! Well over 30. I won’t list them all, but as a lifelong car guy, as in worked in the business, it is beyond scary that the car czar, the cat who will run General Motors, and maybe Chrysler, has absolutely zero experience in the automotive trade. None, zip, nada! And he’s still just a kid!

Of course, where we have serious constitutional issues here is the fact that by appointing all of these czars, Obama has completely and totally usurped the Senate’s constitutional responsibility of advise and consent. In other words, these czars are elected by no one, and approved by no one, except for Obama himself. Lenin and Stalin would be so proud!

Foreign policy and national security? This guy is Neville Chamberlain wrapped up in Jimmy Carter with a strong dose of naivete thrown in for good measure.

North Korea and Iran are running amuck. Obama has basically resigned himself to the fact that Iran will have nukes, and at time when North Korea is launching missiles everywhere, basically doing R&D that will help them perfect a long range delivery platform, Obama wants to gut the military budget, as all democrats always do, especially missile defense.

Even worse, after the Iranian elections, evidently overseen by ACORN, while young Iranians were being beaten and killed, it took Obama two weeks to come up with anything that even resembled condemnation of the illegitimate regime.

On the other hand, when Honduras has a mad man who was usurping their constitution, trying to set himself up as dictator for life, and the people’s representatives took action, removing him from office, Obama couldn’t get out a statement fast enough in support of the Castro wannabe! Never mind that the next guy the in line of succession had taken power and announced elections as soon as possible to choose a new leader. Obama was in the company of Chavez, the Castro brothers, and the United Nations in their support of lifetime dictators!

“As Commander-In-Chief, Governor Palin is the one we look to for leadership and inspiration while serving and defending the sovereign boundaries of Alaska” Lt General Craig E Campbell, Adjutant General of the Alaska National Guard.

So what does this all have to do with Sarah “quitting?”

Well, to anyone who is paying attention to her, they know that she is of the opinion that someone needs to put Obama in check and fast!

And who else is gonna do it?

Let’s face it, save for a few principled conservatives, the Republican party is full of milquetoast moderates who have no idea how to fight. Or worse yet, actually agree with a lot of Obama’s agenda.

The democrats have a majority in the House, and the way Nancy Pelosi threatens her members, she can get anything passed, especially the bills no one reads, you know, the ones that cost tax payers multiples of trillions of dollars!

And with, I can’t believe I’m saying this, Senator Al Franken, the democrats have a filibuster proof majority in the Senate.

In other words, nothing or no one can stop them from trying to implement their visions of a socialist Utopia.

At least no one in DC.

You hear it in her speeches and see it in her eyes. Sarah is ready to go and take on these issues with gusto. She will be a strong advocate for small government, strong national security, and real energy independence.

It’s also very clear to anyone who even remotely follows the ins and outs of politics in Alaska, that couldn’t happen as long as she remained Governor.

Forget the physical logistics of it all, that’s the least of the problem.

Nope, Alaska is a very strange place right now, politically. Before Sarah became a national figure after being picked by Senator McCain as his running mate, things were relatively tame as politics go. Sarah was hailed for her ability to work with both sides of the aisle. In fact, knowing that she helped take down a bunch of corrupt Republicans, the democrats were very happy to work with her.

Let’s face it, with energy making up most of Alaska’s economy, it made sense for everyone to get together on important legislation. In fact, Sarah’s signature accomplishment, the natural gas pipeline, was passed just one vote shy of unanimous!

Then came McCain and more ominously Obama and his Chicago/Saul Alinsky brand of politics.

The word came down from Washington for the democrats to make Sarah’s life difficult. I’ve already written about Obama’s direct connection to the failed “troopergate” smear. As well as his payoff to Alaska Senator Kim Elton ad nauseum.

On Tuesday, appearing on Greta Van Susteren’s On The Record, Sarah’s attorney Thomas V Van Flein, while speaking about all of the phoney ethics complaints, mentioned that at least one had originated from the lower 48. And he also mentioned the DNC’s official blogger for Alaska, Linda Kellen Biegel, though not by name. Biegel being one of the loons who has devoted their life to attacking Sarah. Biegel is even raising money to supplement her disability payments off of this venture!

In other words, the Saul Alinsky “Rules For Radicals” plan was followed to a tee!

But, the media seems clueless.

If anything, some of the better ones mention the fact that Sarah has personally racked up a legal bill of over $500,000, so far. They portray Palin as a victim, or worse yet, say she’s trying to play the victim. Not that anyone could blame her, but really, does that sound like the Sarahcuda we’ve all watched for years?

What the media totally leaves out, even the “good ones” is the fact that not only does this nonsense cost her personally, it has cost the taxpayers in the state of Alaska 4 times the amount it has cost her!

So far these democrat operatives, and assorted loons have cost the taxpayers $2 million with their nonsense. And believe me, they have dozens of more complaints on deck ready to file!

All of these complaints have come in the last 8 months. It’s pretty easy to figure at that rate, with Sarah having 18 months left to serve, just her being in office would cost the Alaskan people between $6 to $8 million, total!

And that doesn’t factor in the man hours wasted on this mess. Sarah has said that almost 80% of her staff’s time is being taken up dealing with these loons. John Fund, writing in the Wall Street Journal, states that since the election, there have been 150 FOIA requests filed. Those take time and time is money.

Alaska has some very strict ethics laws, ironically championed by Sarah herself. Before Sarah became Governor, there was a lot of corruption in Alaska government. Some had called it the most corrupt ever. Taking a lot of it down is what got her elected in the first place.

But the problem is, for the complainant, there is no cost to file. And just about anything can be complained about. Even better, if you file frivolous or fraudulent claims, there is no punishment.

Now I have heard people say that they should just change the law. Good luck with that. Can you imagine the pushback from the democrats on that? Or the phony headlines? It would never happen as long as Sarah was in office, and might not happen after that.

Now again, for people that have studied Palin, they get why she is upset. This is a woman who has slashed budgets. She put the Governor’s jet on eBay! She reassigned the executive chef because she didn’t think she needed a cook and staff at the Governor’s Mansion. Show me another Governor who doesn’t have a cook!

She even turned down a substantial raise this year to save the state money!

Even better, when she’s working out of the Anchorage office, Sarah actually drives herself to work, in her personal car! And Wasilla to Anchorage is a pretty good tow in the summer, never mind the winter! Most Governors have limos, or beefed up SUV’s and are driven by someone.

So the fact that these loons will cost the taxpayers of Alaska millions upon millions with their personal vendetta is really a bridge to far for Sarah to cross. They have effectively shut down her government with these tactics. At this point, she truly hurts more than she helps, and she knows it.

And is if to put a punctuation mark on the whole thing, Monday one of the crazies actually filed a new “ethics” complaint, totally proving her point!

Even better, this is one that has been filed before and thrown out!

Zane Henning bills himself as a “conservative watchdog”, but he is a DNC plant. And this isn’t Henning’s first at bat against Sarah either. He is also the loon who filed a couple of “ethics complaints” because of the media coverage of Sarah.

As you all know, after the election, Sarah was the hottest interview in town. When she went back to work, the first morning there was a mob of reporters, cameras, and so on waiting for her at her office door. It goes with the territory. Ethics violation filed.

Then horror of horrors, Greta shows up to do an extended interview with Sarah and her family. I mean come on. This was and still is the most popular Republican in the country. An exciting woman who came pretty close to being Vice President.

Add in the exotic state she comes from, and interest was at a fever pitch. Of course people were going to interview her! But Greta sinned because she filmed a segment in Sarah’s office! She also did a spot in the kitchen eating moose chili and took a ride with Todd on the snow machine. If only she would have worn an Arctic Cat jacket, Henning could have filed for that too!

By the way, it is illegal to publicize ethics complaints before they are heard by the personnel board, but these democrat operatives who are worried about the Governor’s ethics, seem to have no issue with violating the ethics rules themselves!

Henning had a statement out immediately announcing his triumph for democracy!

In fact, merely publicizing the complaint is their win. They know this nonsense is going to be thrown out, but thanks to Huffington Post writers Shannyn Moore, Jeanne Devon, and Amanda Coyne, and others there are plenty of headlines! And the state run media picks up on all of them.

To sum it up Sarah was in a no win situation.

Even the great warrior Sun Tzu tells us it isn’t wise to fight battles we can’t win!

Now sure, Sarah could have stuck it out, let the democrat operatives and loons steal tax payer money and state time, millions of dollars that could better be spent on roads, or education, or well, anything but this.

But that ain’t Sarah. In fact it would have been selfish for her to keep the job for her personal or political gain, and she knows it.

By the way, THAT is what baffles the beltway bunch to no end! They are used to politicians who have to be dragged from office!

And as far as Sarah speaking out against Obama from Alaska, are you kidding? These crazies are inventive. They’d find something wrong. Ethics complaints would have been flying!

And come to the lower 48 and help other Republicans?

She gets hammered every time she even thinks about leaving Alaska. In fact, noted constitutional scholar, and certified whack job, Linda Kellen Biegel (official DNC blogger for Alaska) actually wrote on her blog that she” had Sarah now”, after Sarah’s trip to visit the troops in Kosovo. Her National Guard troops!

Sarah’s crime?

She talked about how great America was and how great her Guard was. To the crazies, that is unconstitutional. Forget that Palin is their Commander-In Chief!

Biegle is still looking to file that one!

And let’s not forget the personal here.

Let’s not forget the unreal attacks on her children. You had Letterman and his disgusting “jokes” but the real sick stuff has come from loons like Andrew Sullivan, Linda Kellen Biegel (official DNC blogger for Alaska) and the various hate bloggers at the Huffington Post. All of them have attacked Sarah’s youngest child, Trig, a special needs child, proving once and for all the depths of depravity liberals will sink to are really bottomless.

Now if Sarah was just going home, that “quitter” label might have some validity.

But again, anyone who watched her Independence Speech, or read the transcript, knows that isn’t in her plans.

The naysayers say she can’t stand the heat, and yet, she’s preparing to come down to the lower 48 and set up shop to take on the issues she cares about. If she’s a lightning rod all of the way up in Alaska, what do you think she will be like down here?

And I can’t stop laughing at all of the pundits who are still clueless about her July 3^rd timing. To these people this was nothing more than a “dead day”, something used to hide bad news. Typical beltway Washington/New York City group think. The also poo-poo’ed her because they weren’t invited to the party, just local press.

Funny thing, Sarah actually knocked Michael Jackson coverage off the TV for a while, and the networks as well as the cable newsers couldn’t get to Alaska fast enough to try and score interviews!

Pretty much anything Sarah does publically, and sometimes even privately, is a media event. And she has an uncanny ability to turn negativity into positive. Remember all of the dust up over Letterman? Most of it wasn’t even stirred up by her! It was supporters who took on Dave and his advertisers.

And yet, Sarah was able to use that interest to talk about real issues. She scored interviews with Matt Lauer on NBC and Wolf Blitzer on CNN. They wanted to talk Letterman, but she wanted to talk natural gas pipeline, her signature achievement. And that’s what she did. And she did, at length. She had just signed a deal with Exxon-Mobil and Trans-Canada that would see the largest infrastructure project in history get done, and paid for mostly with private money. You think the TV guys would have been excited to give her time to just talk about energy?

In other words, Sarah will have no problem getting media coverage to talk about whatever she wants to. Even the ones who absolutely hate her will have to cover her.

It still boggles my mind that the media elite don’t get the July 3^rd timing though. Those cats need to get out of their world and mingle!

And for those that think all of this is poor strategy, remember, this has already worked for her very well in the past!. Just a little over a year into her job as chair of the AOGCC, Sarah “quit” because she couldn’t get past the protection Governor Murkowski was giving the good old boys in the agency.

So, from OUTSIDE government, she effected huge change! She got a bunch of people fired, fined, indicted, and so on. Mostly Republicans. Then took the Governor’s job!

You really think this gal needs some title or position to get things done?

Really?

Look, Sarah has now given interviews, Meg Stapleton, her spokesperson has given interviews, Sarah’s close friend has weighed in, and so on. The intentions are pretty clear. While Sarah is falling on her sword to save Alaskans further theft by the democrats and loons, and all of the headaches, so her agenda can be forwarded by Sean Parnell, she is also going to go at the democrats and RINOs nationally with full force. Starting with a speech at the Reagan Library on the 8^th of August.

In other words, she is taking the fight to them!

This is an upward move, for sure.

And for those that think her political career is over, a USA Today/Gallup poll shows she is fine.

While overall, the numbers may look tough, mainly because 70% of the democrats polled say they wouldn’t vote for her, 17 percent are likely or somewhat likely to vote for her, should she run.. 44% of the independents say the same, while 72 percent of the GOP would vote for her. And 2012 is a long way away. She has plenty of time to win over more supporters.

And Sarah still remains highly popular in the Republican party, some 76 percent approve of her!

And we aren’t factoring in the horrible shape the economy will be in by 2012 if something doesn’t give. Remember all of those “Reagan democrats” that gave Ronnie two landslide elections? We may see a whole lot of “Palin democrats” do the same for her.

By the way, for what it’s worth, 70% of all polled said Sarah’s decision had absolutely no effect on their feelings for her one way or the other.

Now as a conservative who has followed Sarah since she became Governor, and as someone who also pays attention to what regular old conservatives are saying around the country, I can tell you the support for her among them is even more intense, if that is possible!

Money has been pouring in at an unbelievable rate to SarahPAC, according to Stapleton.

For those that follow her on twitter, she has seen those folks more than double in number since Saturday afternoon! At one point as many as 10,000 an hour were joining in. And she was fishin’, not tweeting!

I honestly don’t know what this means, but she has 9000 more people following her, as of this writing, than Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Bobby Jindal , and Tim Pawlenty combined!

And her tweets are generally about the work she is doing, not what is on the menu at the local eatery!

Here’s the bottom line, as I see it.

Sarah Palin is a national figure now, and has been since she came home from the trail. As Ann Coulter put it, she is just too large of a figure for Alaska. When John Kerry or John McCain lost their bids for President, they went back to the Senate. If anything, their runs made them smaller. For Sarah, the opposite has happened. She went from being a little known Governor from a far away place, to the absolute star of the Republican party.

Sarah is at a unique point in history, and knows it.

She is at the cusp of a real movement in America.

Let’s face it, the democrat party is destroying any chances of staying in power with their insanity. And frankly, even lifelong Republicans are not impressed with the GOP’s “hey if we were more like the democrats we could win” strategy.

The movement from party identity to independent has never been higher. The state run media loves to say that the number of those calling themselves Republicans is at a all time low, but they leave out the fact that the democrats are in the same boat!

Sarah has said flat out, during her Independence Speech, and in interviews afterward, that she isn’t beholden to party. And that’s true, because she never has been. In fact, the party establishment has never been all that happy, because she doesn’t play the partisan to get things done. And will go after bad Republicans with the same vigor as bad democrats.

Sarah has said she wants to work with others who share her love for America, and her vision, both in and out of government. She has further said that she will work with Republicans, democrats, and people with no party at all.

Right now a lot of folks are still trying to figure her out. But you tell me that her message won’t be music to normal people’s ears?

Most of us that are really into politics tend to see things from a party perspective. Most Americans don’t. Furthermore, most Americans think both parties are worthless, and that most of our problems come from partisan politics. And they have a point!

Honestly, I don’t know if Sarah wants to be President. I’m sure she would love it, but I am not sure if she has that all consuming lust for it. That “I’d sell my soul” kinda deal.

I think for her there is more to life, and anyone who saw her interviews with her hip waders, windblown hair, and no make-up knows that! One of the state run media talking heads commented that Sarah “quit, then went fishing”. Of course for Sarah, fishing means commercial, something she has done for 20 years plus, and fishing means big nets full of salmon, with her doing the same work as the men!

True story, she’s had an ethics complaint because a photo of her holding one of these big fish was used by the state fishing agency in advertisements! (You really think YOU could put up with that sort of stupidity on a daily basis?)

No, I think if Sarah Palin is to ever become President, it will be by popular demand. It will be because like it already is, everywhere she goes people scream at her to run. When she shakes hands and signs autographs people ask her to run. And there are already dozens of Draft Sarah websites, just like there were the draft sites for her to be the VP pick.

Sarah can draw a huge crowd any time anywhere. More than anyone else in politics, save Obama. And as time marches forward I imagine if Obama draws a crowd, it might not be as friendly as he’s used to!

Sarah has 3 ½ years to go across the country giving speeches, promoting her book, talking policy. Helping conservative candidates. And frankly collecting IOUs.

I always compare Sarah to Ronald Reagan, who is one of her heros, and mine as well.. Yes, they are different, but they are also alike. Especially when it comes to core principals. And for those of us that remember Reagan’s loss in 1976, he too was written off by the Rockefeller wing (RINO) of the party, and the media. In fact, if you take out the misogyny, and the over the top attacks on her kids, pretty much everything that is being said about her, was said about Reagan. Almost verbatim, which shows you the left wing and the RINOs aren’t very creative!

Reagan spent from 1976 to 1980 traveling the country, giving speeches and preparing. Sarah has been described by anyone who has worked with her, including well respected DC policy wonks as a disciplined, quick learner. Someone who is intellectually curious, and highly motivated.

Again, I have no idea where we’ll be come 2012. But anyone that thinks Sarah Palin is down and out or “finished” just hasn’t been paying attention! I suspect that whatever she wants to do, she will do and do well.

I know I’d hate to be the one trying to stop the ‘Cuda!

She has only begun to fight!

Sarah Palin Declares Her Independence

Once the hunted, Sarah Palin becomes the hunter.

Sarah stunned the world Friday by doing something that isn’t done. She is willfully giving up one of the most powerful positions a politician can aspire to. She is stepping down as Governor of one of the most important states in America.

The media elites were stunned. It was almost hilarious watching their reactions of disbelief. Their commentary was downright entertaining, and further proof that they don’t have a clue. Even those on Fox!

And the symbolism of doing this on the 4^th of July holiday, the time we celebrate our nation’s birth, and our independence, was completely lost on the whole lot!

Almost universally, no one in the elite media got it. This is a huge comment on why our nation is in deep, deep trouble. One reporter on Fox, who has covered Sarah since she became Governor, went so far to say that her speech was “rambling”, and “incoherent.” Again, this just proves that even the media we most trust for news doesn’t a clue about real Americans.

Sarah Palin sounded just like us! We, the people, understood every single word she said. This is the reason she is wildly popular in the first place. She IS one of us!

Of course, just as universally silly as the commenters are, the pundits are even more clueless. And, evidently, devoid of any and all abilities of comprehension, be it for the written word, or spoken. We’ll get to the speech itself in due time, but suffice it to say, that for normal Americans, those who this speech was aimed at, this was a call to action.

Now the talking heads all agree that Sarah is done.

No chance of ever being anything again.

Certainly no chance of ever being President. Some say this was political suicide. Well, it won’t be the first time Sarah has committed “political suicide.”

After Mayor Sarah Palin was term limited out (why don’t we have term limits for ALL elected officials?) she decided her next move would be Lt Governor. She lost. But Governor Frank Murkowski saw a talented woman with a lot of grit. He appointed her as Chairman of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. An important job. One that regulates Alaska’s most important activities, oil and natural gas production.

Chairman Palin was charged with maintaining ethics as part of her job. Something that her history has shown she takes very seriously. And her talent in this area was soon to be put to good use. There were a lot of less than ethical things going on, some big, some really big.

Now one thing, Alaska is a “good old boy network” kinda state. And her agency was filled with a lot of movers and shakers in the Republican party. Including the party chair, and even a former attorney general. So as one would imagine, there was some push back when Chairman Palin sought to end some of their practices.

Now mind you, this is a high paying gig. Six figures. Something a mother of four had to be thinking about.

So, what did Sarah do? Well, she committed “political suicide” and resigned from the post. She then took her fight to the people. She also filed formal complaints.

We all know the result of this effort. Commissioner Randy Ruedrich who is also the chair of the Republican party, was forced to resign, and paid the largest fine in state history for this sort of thing, $12,000. Gregg Renkes the former attorney general was also forced to resign.

Both of these men had conflicts of interest in dealing with companies they were supposed to be regulating. And Ruedrich was also guilty of doing party business on state time. The effort to go after Renkes was bi-partisan, as Sarah joined in with democrat Eric Croft.

Oh, and one more thing, Sarah took on her former boss, Governor Frank Murkowski, and defeated him in a landslide primary election, and defeated popular former democrat Governor Tony Knowels in the general election.

So much for “political suicide.”

People who have followed Sarah Palin for a long time absolutely get what she is doing.

One of the big things behind this move is to change the rules. When Sarah became Governor, she and her administration passed sweeping ethics reform. That’s a good thing. But since she returned to Alaska after the presidential election, the democrat party has turned around and used these very laws she championed against her and the state of Alaska. Chicago politics at it’s “finest.”

I have written about Barack Obama’s direct involvement in the failed “troopergate” smear, and even his payoff to former Alaska Senator Kim Elton for his efforts. I have also written extensively about Linda Kellen Biegel, the Democrat National Committee’s “official blogger for Alaska.”

This Biegel woman has turned her insane hate into a cottage industry, openly raising money online to fund her efforts, the legality of which is in question.

She’s not alone in this, as other paid operatives, as well as screw loose crazies, have filed 15 so-called “ethics complaints” since Sarah has come home from the presidential trail!

These deals range from the silly, to the down right idiotic!

One complaint had to do with the fact Sarah was photographed holding a fish!

Some background. Sarah has worked as a commercial fisherman. She and her husband still own a commercial fishing business, and yes, when time permits, she has been known to go out and work the nets!

One complaint had to do with the fact she did an interview in her office!

She got tagged because, as Governor, she was at this year’s Iron Dog race, at nearly 2000 miles, the longest most difficult snow machine race in the world.

She showed up in sub-zero weather wearing a jacket.

Oh, the humanity!

Yes, the jacket had the logo of the company that sponsors her husband, Todd, who is a multi-championship winning racer. And?

The bottom line, is these loons, and democrat operatives have managed to cripple the Governor, her staff, and grind governing to a halt. This nonsense has cost Governor Palin and her family $500,000 personally, but more importantly, to her, the state of Alaska has spent $2 million dollars, and 1000’s of hours in time messing around with these complaints.

Needless to say, ALL of these complaints have been thrown out. But as I reported earlier, that means nothing to these bloggers. There were many more bogus ethics complaints planned.

This is Saul Alinsky’s Rules being used relentlessly, and being sanctioned by Chicago’s most famous citizen.

And with a group of dishonest democrats who will just keep filing these bogus ethics complaints, with absolutely no repercussions, she just saved the citizens of Alaska at minimum a couple of million dollars the state would have had to shell out had she completed her term.

This is pretty typical Sarah Palin. When she took office she went on a cost cutting spree. She famously put the executive jet for sale on eBay. And while it was not sold there, it was sold. It was a jet the previous Governor had purchased to travel the state. On the surface, not a bad idea. Alaska is roughly the size of the entire western United States, and many cities are only easily accessible by either air or water.

The only problem, is that jet was unable to land on most of the unimproved airfields in Alaska, and kind of useless.

Palin reassigned the “executive chef” at the Governor’s mansion saying she didn’t want her kids to get used to being waited on by staff. That saved the state money. She also, along with Lt Governor Sean Parnell, turned down a substantial pay increase this year. Something that just isn’t done.

So by stepping down, Sarah Palin just changed the rules on these people. As a private citizen, she is not subject to the constraints of office. She doesn’t have to maintain a certain decorum.

Make no mistake about it, Sarah Palin is a street fighter. What she has done is declare herself the left’s worst nightmare! The paid DNC operatives, and loons, are going to look back and wish they had let sleeping dogs lie.

Case in point, one of the DNC operatives, Huffington Post blogger Shannyn Moore has already been out there spreading lies about Sarah. Moore, who earlier in the year was obsessed with what was under Sarah’s skirt, is peddling a story that Palin is about to be indicted on some sort of federal charges.

Palin’s attorney Thomas V Van Flein has already put Shannyn Moore, the Huffington Post, MSNBC, The New York Times, as well as the Washington Post on notice that they will be seeking actions against them for printing such lies.

Van Flein’s open letter to the parties explains the facts of the story in question, which involves the Wasilla Sports Complex that came to be during Sarah’s tenure as Mayor of Wasilla. Needless to say, another attempt to smear Sarah Palin knocked to the ground.

“Screw Political correctness!”

“Politically Speaking, I don’t care if I live or die, I’m not going to sit down, I’m not going to shut up!” ___Sarah Palin in a June speech introducing Michael Reagan.

It seems we saw signs of Sarah’s big move a while back. We just didn’t know what we were looking at. Sarah made the above remarks during a speech where she introduced Michael Reagan to a crowd in Anchorage.

In her speech she also took Obama and his economic policies head on, as well as his foreign policy. She spoke at length about states rights, and how the federal government had become too big, and too controlling.

It seems that the trip to Kosovo and Germany to visit the troops may have also held clues to what was about to happen. While there, and in Sarah’s tweets, she continually talked about the sacrifices of our brave soldiers, and about the greatness of America. It’s obvious that while her move to change directions has been in the works for some time, her second trip to visit troops in the past two years really had a profound effect on Palin.

Of course, there are all of her detractors who are now saying she is “abandoning her job.” Funny thing, she is transferring power to Lt Governor Sean Parnell. This is the same Sean Parnell who she would have transferred power to had she become Vice President.

Some say they don’t buy the “lame duck” excuse. But having followed Sarah since she became Governor, having read her writings, watched her speeches, and read other’s thoughts about her, people who know her, I think I understand, at least in a tiny way, how she thinks about her duty to the folks who put her in office.

Again, it’s a given, the loons and DNC operatives were never ever going to stop costing the state of Alaska millions of dollars in their perverted attacks on Sarah Palin. So that obviously weighed very heavily on her mind. As soon as Sarah started speaking out. As soon as Sarah started really challenging those who would destroy America from within, the attacks would come.

Sarah recognizes what most of America now does. We are in real trouble. We have incredibly incompetent leadership in Washington. Both parties are filled with people who are more interested in power than doing their jobs. We have a Congress that spends trillions of dollars and passes insane legislation that will destroy our personal liberty, without reading a single word in these bills!

Congress passed the trillion dollar stimulus package and absolutely no one read this bill. It was rushed through by Barack Obama and his crew. Obama shouting that if the bill wasn’t passed immediately the sky would fall! Then, once passed, Obama took a long weekend, while staff set up the photo op!

The stimulus package has been a disaster, so far.

The House of Representatives just passed the largest tax increase in human history, the cap and tax bill on “climate change.” Here’s a bill that will double or triple the cost of energy, and by default, effect the cost of every single product consumers purchase. And this bill will actually do nothing to help the climate! It would also cost millions of jobs, and send most manufacturing overseas to nations that haven’t bought into the “climate change” nonsense.

Even better, most Americans understand that “global warming” is a hoax. That the planet is actually cooling. More and more scientists have come out and disputed the whole scheme.

In fact, the latest scandal surrounding this involves an internal EPA memo that disproves “global warming”, that was suppressed ahead of the House vote.

Not only had no one read this incredibly huge tax bill, an additional 300 pages were slipped into the bill in the dead of night just before the vote!

This isn’t just insanity, this is criminal!

This sort of thing is why Sarah felt she could no longer sit still and keep her mouth shut. This is why she has decided to travel and speak out.

Of course, as Governor, she does have the bully pulpit, but since the DNC has their operatives filing bogus ethics complaints at the drop of the hat, it would be very detrimental to Alaskans for Sarah to use her power as Governor to challenge these crooks in DC.

Better to take them on as Sarah Palin, America, than as Governor Sarah Palin.

And she did have a point about lame ducks spending the people’s money while doing little of their work.

Now with the dishonest press, and the talking heads, there is a huge double standard. They think its just horrible that Sarah is “abandoning” Alaska.

On the other hand, no one in America seemed to have a problem when Barack Obama, the very inexperienced Junior Senator from Illinois, after promising the people of Illinois that he wouldn’t run for President in his first term, worked a mere 143 days out of his six year Senate term, only to abandon his job completely to spend a year and a half running for President!

All the while collecting his paycheck from all of us taxpayers.

Double standard?

You bet’cha!

Now for her speech!

What a red meat patriotic speech it was. This was Sarah Palin speaking out to all of America and letting them know she’s heard the call, and is ready to answer it.

In her speech Sarah talks about the need to end politics as usual. Yeah, I know, all politicians say that. But with Sarah Palin, you instinctively know that she actually means it. And frankly, has put her money where her mouth is by resigning to take those who are harming America straight on!

Sarah talks about how we need to build America up, not tear it down. She called the extreme spending spree being championed by Barack Obama “obscene” and “immoral.”

Sarah, in her speech, repeatedly called on all to get involved and make a difference.

Of course, the elite media who evidently feel it’s their job to tell us what to think (or spread propaganda, I can never decide which) are so sure that Sarah has had enough of all of this and is going home.

So as if to make sure there will be no doubt to her intentions, Sarah put out an Independence Day message.

The end of the message goes as follows:

“I shared with you yesterday my heartfelt and candid reasons for this change; I’ve never thought I needed a title before one’s name to forge progress in America. I am now looking ahead and how we can advance this country together with our values of less government intervention, greater energy independence, stronger national security, and much-needed fiscal restraint. I hope you will join me. Now is the time to rebuild and help our nation achieve greatness!

Now to many, this is Sarah’s way of announcing her intentions to be the next President of the United States, and it may very well be. But I am absolutely under the impression that this doesn’t really matter to her. I firmly believe she is more interesting in changing America for the better. I firmly believe she is more interested in stopping the destruction that Barack Obama and Congress is causing our great nation.

Of course, this is WHY Sarah Palin will be President. Her millions of followers will demand it. Absolutely no one currently in politics has the vision for America that sees us returning to the principles that our founding fathers set forth.

Absolutely no one out there has the ability and desire to take on Barack Obama and Congress with no holds barred. Straight up, no quarter.

Absolutely no other political figure represents the conservative movement as defined by one of our greatest Americans, Ronald Reagan. An America where personal freedom and liberty rein. A strong America. An America that made us the envy of the world.

Both Ronald Reagan and Sarah Palin see America as a shining city on a hill. God’s greatest gift to mankind. The world’s best hope.

Our President and Congress are doing their level best to destroy that vision of America. They are spending our grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s future on their socialist schemes. They are ignoring the growing threats around the world, while passing unread legislation that threatens our personal liberties and freedom.
