Sarah Palin Takes On All Climategate Deniers

Posted by Gary P Jackson on December 18, 2009

Whew! Man, that Sarah Palin sure has started a real firestorm now that she has attacked the Holy Church of Global Warming! It’s one thing to knock ObamaCare on it’s backside, there are only billions of dollars in payoffs and corruption riding on that deal. But the global warming hustle truly is the whole enchilada!

Not billions, but trillions of dollars will change hands. Government control like you’ve never even dreamed of will come to pass. Taxes will flow into incompetent government hands like never before. Energy will “necessarily skyrocket.”

Of course, the real story is all of the money that will be made trading “carbon credits.” Al Gore, the Bernie Madoff of the climate change movement, has made hundreds of millions of dollars already off this scam, and stands to make billions.

As I wrote in an earlier piece, Obama and his friends also stand to make out like bandits if cap and trade laws are enacted. The Chicago Climate Exchange is already up and running, and ready to go when all of these insane laws are enacted. Of course, being Chicago, there is absolutely, positively no corruption going on with this deal. Uh huh. There’s this bridge for sale that you just must see if you believe that one!

Just to bring everyone up to speed. If you remember the failed, disgraced Governor from California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, decided to go off on Sarah for her resent stance on the hoax, the greatest lie ever told. Sarah, in what is her usual style, fired right back with this:

Greener Than Thou?

Why is Governor Schwarzenegger pushing for the same sorts of policies in Copenhagen that have helped drive his state into record deficits and unemployment? Perhaps he will recall that I live in our nation’s only Arctic state and that I was among the first governors to create a sub-cabinet to deal specifically with climate change. While I and all Alaskans witness the impacts of changes in weather patterns firsthand, I have repeatedly said that we can’t primarily blame man’s activities for those changes. And while I did look for practical responses to those changes, what I didn’t do was hamstring Alaska’s job creators with burdensome regulations so that I could act “greener than thou” when talking to reporters.

– Sarah Palin

BOOM, taste my nightstick! (What!?! You KNOW we’re gonna go to that one early and often!)

Sarah has what is probably the most reasonable stance there is on the whole notion of climate change. Being someone in a position of power she honestly didn’t have the luxury to just call these liars out and blow them off. And, as someone who spent time as her state’s chief energy and environmental regulator, Sarah knows more than the average politician and humble blogger about the subject.

Climate change may be happening, but the climate on earth has a history of changing. The earth is millions of years old, for goodness sake! We’ve had heat waves and ice ages. All before man even existed! Obviously if the entire earth was covered in ice, and we now have places where it is not, there was some significant warming.

Anyhow, one failed California Governor pwned.

But why did Arnold even bother to speak up? What prompted all of this? Well, as always, follow the money! Our friend and colleague, The Might Serf, went to town on this one and found some fascinating information:

Schwarzenegger vs. Palin: Arnold has no credibility

In an interview with George Stephanopoulos, from the COP15 Climate Summit in Copenhagen, Governor Schwarzenegger took a swipe at Governor Palin. He was asked about her editorial published in the Washington Post last week. He replied:

“You have to ask: what was she trying to accomplish? Is she really interested in this subject or is she interested in her career and in winning the nomination? You have to take all these things with a grain of salt.

Tack on “mind reader” to Arnie’s long list professional talents…

Not only is that conjecture on his part, it’s also a convenient way to avoid the subject matter and deal with what she said. Arnold deflects the debate, as is common with the global warming faithful and turns it into a ‘what’s Palin going to do next’ moment.

Then he goes on to say:

We in California have proven it over and over that you can protect the economy, and you can protect the environment.” …

I don’t think you have to choose. I think it is nonsense talk to say let’s talk first about the economy.

Either Arnold needs advisors that don’t lie to him or he has a serious literacy issue. The last time I checked, the statewide California unemployment rate was at 12.3 percent. With the highest rated area, a town about forty minutes east of where I’m sitting, called El Centro at 22.6 percent.

The report goes on to say:

As a Californian who happens to believe that we are in a current trend of “global cooling” (and yes, lefties that also is a “change” in climate) and also someone forced to live under the green foot of my state government, I got a little more joy from that post than some.

She correctly points out the economic mess California is in and accurately points to one of the main culprits. Arnold keeps talking about these “green jobs” (sounds familiar) but when you look at the numbers I posted above, the small number of positions that open up in the market aren’t enough to even put a small dent into those figures.

When my car can run off of algae, we may see a boost in the green economy. Until then, realize what makes an economy work and what doesn’t. Like new regulations and laws for instance… Those are instant job killers. If you mandate small businesses that are already stretched too thin, they will lay off workers. They don’t have a choice. In business, you do whatever it takes to make it to the next month.

Now, to the “why” in Governor Palin’s statement.

I remember when Arnold Schwarzenegger spent his time trying to convince American’s that they should buy a Hummer. Well those days are long gone and a new Climate Crusader has emerged in place of that carbon spewing truck peddler.

Schwarzenegger is now one of the most outspoken global warming alarmists in public office today. He has dramatically steered this state toward more “green” centered policies, programs, and worst of all, mandates. So did he have an epiphany? Did his wife’s family convince him over turkey dinner during the holidays?

Probably not, but I believe Robert Kennedy, his wife’s cousin, has everything to do with Arnold’s conduct in regards to environmental policies.

Robert Kennedy is not only the governor’s relative but he is also one of Arnold’s closest advisors, even if he does serve in an unofficial capacity. The two of them can be seen at various press announcements and environmental meetings talking about their great plans to reconstruct California into a “green economy.”

There’s just one problem with that… A slight conflict of interest arises when one looks over the contracts and plans Californians will be forking money over for in these deals. Robert Kennedy is a Venture Partner and Senior Advisor for a company called VantagePoint Venture Partners. VantagePoint has a multimillion-dollar stake in a company called BrightSource, who produces solar technology. BrightSource has lobbied to build a massive energy project in the Mojave Desert. The project would provide power to 142,000 homes and cost about $2 billion. BrightsSource hopes to build three solar-powered plants situated on land near the Nevada-California borders. As Schwarzenegger told a joint conference of Mexican and U.S. governors, “They’re going to blanket the world with solar panels.”

Last year Governor Schwarzenegger also announced a plan to build a massive electric vehicle grid that would cover most of California. At the press conference in San Francisco, Robert Kennedy said “Creating an energy-independent economy is our generation’s moon-shot.” Whatever “moon-shot” means, I don’t know but I don’t like it. He also said “For too long we’ve believed that economy and environment stood at odds with each other. By coming together in this time of turmoil to build a clean transportation infrastructure, this generation will fuel the economic and environmental prosperity of generations to come.” Given the fact that Robert attended that conference as a representative of VantagePoint, you better believe they are looking to rake in millions from the deal.

In fact, there is an overwhelming amount of information out there that points to Governor Schwarzenegger’s real motives in pushing a “green” economy. It’s all about money and it has little to do with the environment. As is usually the case when it comes to the big names in the Climate Change “movement.” Just do a quick search into Al Gore’s finances to see how philanthropic that guy really is. I’ll go out on a limb here and call the man a profiteer.

As far as Governor Palin’s motives behind publishing words of warning and giving Obama advice (good advice) on environmental matters… She’s trying to help the country. Nothing else. She has no financial ties or personal ties to an industry that stands to heavily profit from the outcome of the Copenhagen Summit. In fact, I’ve done a lot of research into Governor Palin’s background and connections… I’ve linked her up to the Rotary Club and the NRA. That’s it.

By the way, for any of you that still think Arnold resides on the right, politically speaking. The left-wing Annenberg Foundation, helped cover the bill for his trip to Copenhagen through a California State Protocol Foundation grant. I wonder if Robert made the journey too???

Regular readers of this website will recognize the name Annenberg Foundation straightaway. This is the very same Annenberg Foundation that gave the unrepentant murdering domestic terrorist William Ayers, and his good old buddy Barack Obama $60 million dollars for “education,” which Ayers and Obama then in turn gave to radical groups like ACORN, you know, “for the children.”

You can read more from The Mighty Serf here.

Look, Schwarzenegger is married to a “Kennedy.” That alone makes him suspect on many levels, but it’s not really all that hard to figure out what is going on here.

Whole lot of corruption goin’ on ‘round here!

Now….As we talked about before, Sarah’s two Op-Eds she wrote for the Washington Post were some of the most read of the entire year. The one she wrote in July on the subject of global warming was the third most read. Predictably, the loons have lost their minds over this! In the world of the democrat/communist, dissenting thought, and differences of opinion, simply are not tolerated, and most certainly not written.

The Washington Post has, of course, been savaged for allowing that woman to sully the pages of their fine paper. The reaction by the crazies has been hilarious, well worth the time to observe. These people’s entire lives are based on lies, and they can’t justify themselves. Liberalism is one of those things that simply cannot withstand the light of day, or hockey moms from Wasilla, Alaska.

So, WaPo trots out their resident hack, Eugene Robinson, to satisfy the moonbats. What could go wrong?

Sarah, obviously loving this little exchange, offered this up for the WaPo, as well as all of her Facebook supporters:

My Letter to the Washington Post

Letter to the Editor

Washington Post

Thursday, December 17, 2009

I’d like to thank Eugene Robinson for highlighting Alaska’s achievements on climate change [“Palin’s own ‘Climate- gate,’” op-ed, Dec. 15] and for noting that I’ve “treated the issue as serious, complex, and worthy of urgent attention,” while making “any number of pragmatic, reasonable, smart decisions as governor.” But he’s wrong to suggest that my views have somehow changed or that now I’ll have to “renounce” my past efforts.

Once again: I don’t deny that climate change is real. In creating a sub-cabinet to deal specifically with the issue, I said that “Alaska’s climate change strategy must be built on sound science and the best available facts and must recognize Alaska’s interest in economic growth and the development of its resources.” That goal made sense to me then, and it makes sense to me now.

Mr. Robinson tries to make hay out of the fact that I asked the group to advise me regarding opportunities to participate in “carbon-trading markets.” But considering voluntary participation in carbon-trading programs is much different from endorsing the economically disastrous cap-and-tax proposals put forward by Democrats in Washington. Those proposals will burden our job creators and raise energy prices for all of us, and that’s why I oppose them.

As governor of Alaska, I sought common-sense solutions that took real-world costs and benefits into account. That’s what I’m looking for now. But that’s not what’s on the table in Washington or in Copenhagen.

Sarah Palin, Wasilla, Alaska

BOOM, taste my nightstick!

Obviously, Sarah has hoisted this entire bunch of nimrods by their own petards. It’s glorious to watch a politician who will actually fight back when these liars in the media and RINOs attack. I certainly wish President George Bush, an honorable and decent man, would have had ½ the spunk this gal from Alaska has. The entire world might be different today. (sigh)

Of course, what’s a good story about taking the global warming hoaxers to the woodshed without some real meat and potatoes. As you know the Climategate scandal was uncovered in Russia where, ironically, their media is open, and relatively honest.

From Andrew Breitbart’s Big Government:

ClimateGate Just Got Much, Much Bigger

Over at ICECAP.us Meteorologist Joe D’Aleo has posted an item on a “Russian Bombshell” highly relevant to the ClimateGate scandal. The Russian media first posted the story and now some Brits are loving it.

The long and the short of it is best summarized by the Telegraph’s James Dellingpole: “What the Russians are suggesting here, in other words, is that the entire global temperature record used by the IPCC to inform world government policy is a crock.”

That is, we have yet further evidence that the data is being cooked to make the long-running claim of an increase in global temperatures, and now to diminish the apparent cooling of said temps. As the gang at EU referendum tout, “it is in Soviet Union that the CRU, NOAA, NASA show the greatest warming.”

Around the world temperature stations have been widely decommissioned in rural and higher elevations, and we see an over-emphasis on increasingly urbanized (and therefore warmer) stations in the curious selection process as to what temperatures should count, and how much. The latter point references the fact that the data is then adjusted, and we are also seeing an increase in adjusting urbanized (that is, artificially warm) temperature records not down, but upward.

Excerpted in pertinent part, Joe Writes:

On Tuesday, the Moscow-based Institute of Economic Analysis (IEA) issued a report claiming that the Hadley Center for Climate Change based at the headquarters of the British Meteorological Office in Exeter (Devon, England) had probably tampered with Russian-climate data.

The IEA believes that Russian meteorological-station data did not substantiate the anthropogenic global-warming theory. …The data of stations located in areas not listed in the Hadley Climate Research Unit Temperature UK (HadCRUT) survey often does not show any substantial warming in the late 20th century and the early 21st century.

The HadCRUT database includes specific stations providing incomplete data and highlighting the global-warming process, rather than stations facilitating uninterrupted observations. …

IEA analysts say climatologists use the data of stations located in large populated centers that are influenced by the urban-warming effect more frequently than the correct data of remote stations.

The reason this cherry-picking is relevant — as is the apparent similar gamesmanship being played with other countries examined in recent days including China and New Zealand — because our NOAA compiles the global dataset and the rest work from it. So when CRU claimed that it “lost” its raw data, what they’re saying is the claim to have lost which stations they chose from NOAA’s compilation, making it impossible for those who wish to check it to discern how they got the answer they did.

If it is what it appears to be, and my dozen years working with these people and the past few weeks peeking further inside thanks to ClimateGate tell me that it is, then this is root-cause corruption.

Meanwhile, they are scrambling madly to stitch up an agreement in Copenhagen politically committing the U.S. to the long-desired wealth-transfer. The question is which moves faster, the collapse of the increasingly likely scientific fraud, or the global governance set.

Look, there are a lot of links there, and in incredible amount of information that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that pretty much all of the information used by the global warming hoaxers is not only faulty, but an absolute lie. You simply must take time to investigate them.

These dishonest scientists have cooked the books, withheld and manipulated data to suit their needs, all in an effort to pull off the greatest scam in history. The greatest lie ever told.

This is the Loch Ness Monster, Big Foot, and UFOs on a global scale! Why? Money, of course. All of these scientists make money off of government and private foundation grants. No crisis, no funding. No funding and you have a lot of “climate scientists” working at McDonald’s asking you if you want fries with that, which is probably where they belong.

And of course, there is power. Look at all of the power that would be wielded if this wasn’t a hoax, and we allowed measures to fight this mythical beast to be put in place. It would be enormous.

The bottom line is this: The climate exists, that’s indisputable. The climate changes, well…duh! Live in Texas and you may see all 4 seasons in one day! That’s real climate change.

But seriously, the climate indeed changes, that’s why the marketing managers over at Big Global Warming, and Big Government, changed the name to “climate change” once it got out that the earth had actually been in a cooling mode since the mid 1990’s. Thus Big Climate was born.

There is no credible data though, that man can cause the climate to change. Now, can man screw up his local environment? You bet’cha! For example, the environmental whack jobs have turned America’s breadbasket, the San Joaquin Valley of California into a desert because of a minnow. Millions of acres of land that used to feed the world, literally, is now a dust bowl, all because man has screwed with nature.

The answer to this sort of thing is to allow the states, not the federal government, to regulate the activities of the insane. This also goes for those who pollute, and well, even litter. We all want a clean world, a healthy world. But we also want a world that places a premium on liberty and freedom. A world were we, the individual, are what matters, not Big Government, Big Climate, Or Big Al Gore.

As the wheels start to come off of the global warming hoax wagon, men like Al Gore, who has bored us to death with his inane braying, need to be rounded up and jailed. The same goes for politicians and officials who have pushed these lies on the world.

There is simply no way to measure the amount of blood and treasure that has been lost in pursuit of this hoax. Industries destroyed, jobs lost, and lives destroyed. We could be talking about trillions of dollars, but how can one even measure the destruction these liars have caused?

Well, for now, we have a few brave souls, like Sarah Palin, who has the power of her position as the true American leader, to take these people and their lies on. Thank God for that.

Sarah Palin: Joyful Warrior, Joyful Leader

Posted by Gary P Jackson on December 16, 2009

A friend sent me the photo above a week ago last Saturday under the heading “Sarah enjoying some global warming!” The photo was taken that morning in Fairfax, Virginia as she arrived at one of her huge book signing events. Later that evening she would go on to be a real sensation at the Gridiron Club’s dinner, as one of the keynote speakers, along with Congressman Barney Frank. An event that surprised her critics and wowed her supporters.

Now being the hack that I am, and the global warming hoax being something we have been trying to expose since day one, and of course, knowing Sarah’s own stance on the issue, and well, I knew this photo could see a lot of use!

And why not? This is a great photo!

Well, that kinda became the point, to me.

You see, the more I looked at this photo, the more I realized the photographer had really done something. The photographer had managed to capture the essence of Sarah Palin, the thing that has so many millions admiring her.

Let’s face it, the camera loves Sarah Palin. You rarely find a bad photo of her, but this one hit me as special. The more I looked at the photo, the more the photo kept my attention.

I’ll be straight up here. I look at a lot of photos, every day, of all kinds of things. Most of them I either like, or I don’t. It takes me seconds to figure out if they are keepers, or not. Some hit me as strong and powerful, some just pleasant, funny, or somehow “right” for particular piece I am writing. But this photo stopped me dead in my tracks.

Now let me get the obvious out of the way first: Sarah Palin is a strikingly beautiful woman. In fact, all of the photos from her Fairfax visit have made the guys happy! As you look at this photo, you see that Sarah is really quite a strong figure. Here she is in all black, save the hat, all 5ft 6 inches of her slender frame, looking every bit the fashion model, high heels and all. It’s no wonder that soon after she became Governor of Alaska, Vogue magazine sent a team up there to do a cover shoot with her.

I’m reminded of the popular Alaskan t-shirts and bumper stickers that proudly proclaim “The coldest state, with the hottest Governor!

All of that was, of course, before Sarah became a national figure. It was OK, even with the dishonest and corrupt national media, to absolutely love Sarah Palin, and salute her as a transformative leader, as long as she stayed in Alaska! But take the girl from the frozen tundra, and all of a sudden this once praised feminist leader, this highly successful wife, mother, reformer, and Governor, becomes “evil!”

Once you realize just how much things have changed in Sarah’s life since the day that Senator John McCain called her and asked if she’d like to help him “change the world” this photo takes on even more meaning. Now like all of us, Sarah’s life wasn’t perfect. She’d had her ups and downs, triumphs and tragedies. But by any measure you want to use, Sarah Palin was, and is, a highly successful woman.

Oh sure, the Alaska Republican Party hates her, with a passion, but that’s because she took many party members down, over corruption. So corrupt that I am reminded of one of the great quotes from Mel Brooks’ original film, The Producers when, at the trial, the jury reads it’s verdict: “We, the people, find the defendants incredibly guilty!” They were that kind of guilty!

So…..some tension was to be expected!

But overall, the Alaskan people were more than just pleased with their choice as Governor. Sarah Palin’s approval rating was in the high 80’s before Obama, Pete Rouse, and the Alaska Mafia started their shenanigans. Again, incredibly successful, by any measure.

Once Sarah was picked as McCain’s running mate though, all that is ugly, vile, and hateful about the left, and they really do have the market cornered on that stuff, came to bear on Sarah. I’ve thought long and hard, and I really cannot think of anyone who has been attacked as viciously as Sarah Palin.

The left attacked Sarah, her husband, her children, especially her youngest son, Trig. In this, the left truly outdid itself. The word evil just doesn’t do some of these people and their attacks justice. And these attacks are ongoing, even to this day.

And yet, after the most concentrated, vile, hate filled attacks on a person we’ve ever witnessed, here is Sarah Palin, this strong and strikingly beautiful woman, out in the snow, in Fairfax, Virginia, loving life to it’s fullest!

You see that all of the lies, hate, filth, and unprecedented attacks on Sarah and her family, have had absolutely no effect on this wonderful woman’s spirit. If anything, they have only strengthened her resolve. Made her a little more powerful. Made her a little more “dangerous” to all of those who hate freedom and liberty. You know, the democrats!

The left, and yes, even some on the right, were stunned when Sarah stepped down as Governor, handing the ball off to her very capable Lt. Governor, Sean Parnell. Some simply didn’t understand what was going on up there in Alaska, even though Sarah’s July 3rd Independence Speech was quite clear about the situation.

When you have a group of people, headed by the President of the United States, out to destroy you, your family, and your state, in any and every way possible, you have two choices: You either allow them to destroy you and everything you love, or you take drastic and dramatic action. And dramatic action is what Sarah took.

For those that don’t know, Pete Rouse, then Barack Obama’s campaign chief-of-staff, and now a White House adviser, not only played an active role in the so-called “Troopergate” witch hunt, or as Sarah calls it “Tazergate,” he had an active role in the rest of the attacks, as well.

When Obama’s thugs failed to destroy Sarah with “Tazergate,” named for the fact that her ex-brother-in-law Trooper Michael Wooten, among other things, tazered his step son, Sarah’s nephew, seemingly for the hell of it, Rouse then worked with the various far left extremists in Alaska, including the bloggers, and other undesirables, to recruit people to continually file bogus ethics complaints, exploiting ethics laws that allow absolutely anyone to complain about anything.

As we know, all of these complaints have been dismissed as unfounded, but in the process, this ran up Sarah’s own personal legal bill to over a half million dollars. The state does not defend it’s executive from bogus attacks. Alaska is unique in this fashion.

Also, unique to the executive is this: While it is against the law to discuss or publicize any of these complaints, until they are resolved, the hate bloggers, Jeanne Devon and Shannyn Moore, who contribute the radical left wing rag, the Huffington Post, along with Linda Kellen Biegel, the democrat/communist party’s “official blogger for Alaska” and various other smear merchants would publish the details of the complaints all over the internet, many times before the complaints were even officially filed.

Of course, the dishonest and corrupt Obamacentric national media would run with these complaints like they had struck gold. All of this illegal under Alaska law, but, and this is what makes the entire ethics process a joke, there is absolutely no punishment for those who break this law. Even better, while one can file complaints willy-nilly against legislators too, if you break any of the laws, like confidentiality laws, the complaint is automatically dismissed and no further consideration given to the complainant. They are protected, but the Governor, and their staff, are not!

But, with all of the personal havoc Obama and his Chicago thug tactics were causing Sarah, that paled to what it was causing the Alaska tax payer. These complaints had basically shut Sarah’s administration down. Her staff spent much of their time dealing with Freedom of Information Act requests, including the well publicized fishing expedition by blogger Linda Kellen Biegel, who talked her readers out of a considerable amount of money so she could pursue all of Sarah’s e-mails, just looking to harass her. So far, that has not been money well spent, but that’s another story.

The bottom line on all of this is, in less than six months, Obama’s Alaska Mafia had cost the Alaska tax payers a whopping $2 million! Basically, these thugs, using typical Chicago, Saul Alinsky tactics, had, up to that point, stolen $2 million from the Alaskan people, and as we looked at it, at the time, reading the leftist blogs, and knowing these online terrorists we going to keep on filing complaints to the bitter end, we figured that these terrorists, and make no mistake, that’s what they are, were on track to cost Alaska’s hard working tax payers as much as $10 million dollars, had she stayed for the last year of her term.

So, to all but the silliest among us, Sarah did the right thing, the honorable thing, and stepped down. Now of course, her critics went into attack mode, how she “quit when the going got tough” and all of that jazz. Since then, every action Sarah has taken, has proven that little theory dead wrong.

In fact, Sarah jumped out of the pan, and into the fire. She has been more outspoken than ever, and more effective, too! As far as I am concerned, the moves by Obama to drive Sarah out of office will go down in history as one of the greatest political and tactical blunders of all time.

As Governor, Sarah was highly restricted. It was hard to leave the state, not only because of the great distances to the lower 48, but also because of the loons who always had a complaint filed when she did. It was impossible for her to write a book, for money, or give paid speeches due to Alaska’s strict rules. Another thing, Obama and his people had turned the once relatively cordial Alaskan political scene into a virtual state of war. So, as Governor, Sarah was careful in her criticism of the Dear Leader.

When you hear Sarah say that “politics changed” once she was chosen by McCain, this is what she is talking about.

We all know, as a private citizen, Sarah has been anything but quiet! She has been a constant thorn in Obama’s side. She has taken on the unconstitutional power grab, disguised as “health care reform” and she has hit Obama on energy policy, and monetary policy. She’s been quoted world wide on all. Recently, her sights have been set on crook, liar, and global warming hoaxer extraordinaire, Al Gore, the Bernie Madoff of the climate change crowd, as the entire global warming hoax collapses at his feet.

Sarah has certainly not run from the fight!

They want me to sit down and shut up. Politically speaking, if I die, I die, but I’ll know that I’ve spoken up. Stand up, speak up and be bold! Screw political correctness, never let them tell you to sit down, never let them tell you to shut up!

___Sarah Palin in her speech introducing Michael Reagan to an audience in Anchorage, Alaska in June, 2009

This brings me back to this simple, but magnificent moment in Virginia, caught on film. When I look at this photo, I see a supremely confident and virile woman. A woman who truly has the bull by the horns. A woman filled with unbelievable vitality. A woman who is in charge. A woman who wields great power.

You know what else I see? I see joy.

Sarah Palin is a happy, joyful woman, and that my friends, is the key to the whole thing. Here is a lady who has had the very worst the hatemongers of the world have to offer up thrown at her. I mean for one year solid the most vile of attacks have come her way. Most people would have stepped back, and maybe went underground for awhile, and certainly, no one could have blamed Sarah had she, herself, taken that route. But obviously, this is a woman who simply isn’t built that way.

Instead, Sarah is the team captain who would lead her high school basketball team to a state championship, playing on a broken ankle, and scoring the final game winning points. This is the young wife who, while working in the rough world of commercial fishing, had an accident that would crush her hand, sending her to the hospital, only to see her return right back to work that day.

This is the PTA mom who thought she could make a difference in her hometown and would eventually turn into a crusader against corruption as both a city councilwoman and two term mayor. This is a woman, who after being appointed the to powerful job as the state’s chief energy and environmental regulator, saw massive corruption not only in the industry she regulated, but within her own political party as well.

Unlike many of those around her, Sarah not only didn’t look away, she actively pursued justice. When it became apparent the sitting Governor, her boss, himself a Republican, would continue to block her efforts to bring those corrupt officials to justice, Sarah did what had to be done. She made the tough choice to resign and as a private citizen, take these people on. This of course, is why she is public enemy number one among the Republican Party “elites” both in Alaska and nationally. She upset a lot of apple carts in her quest to end the corruption. Kept the FBI, the courts, and the prison system in business too!

This would lead Sarah to the Governorship, and her accomplishments as Governor most certainly speak for themselves, as do the consistently high approval ratings. The highest for any Governor in the nation.

In fact, at the height of the attacks by Obama, Inc, just before her resignation, when her approval ratings eventually slipped out of the stratosphere, and came back to more earthly numbers, the left celebrated to no end that she was finally no longer the most popular Governor in America. And all it took was a constant and coordinated effort from the White House and the entire corrupt media, daily, for almost a solid year! When she left office her approval was still about 25 points higher than Obama’s is now! (And he has the most glowing press imaginable)

With all of this going on around her, just how was Sarah able to maintain her strength and remain so joyful about life?

Sarah speaks about her faith in God often. Unlike other politicians who seem to be afraid of becoming labeled as a religious extremist for daring to mention their faith, Sarah readily speaks of the strength and guidance she receives from God’s word, and how this strength and guidance serves her as she goes through life. How this helps her as a leader. As with most Americans, faith is the strong foundation that Sarah builds her life upon.

Sarah recently visited with the Reverend Billy Graham and his son Franklin. During this visit Sarah set down for an interview and discussed how her faith guides her. This is a great interview that you can see here.

It’s very important for a leader to be humble enough to say “I don’t have all of the answers.”

____Sarah Palin

Since leaving office, Sarah has written a best selling book, one that has broken records. The day the book was announced, and online retailers like Barnes&Noble and Amazon offered it up for pre-orders, it became the number one best seller at both retailers, and soon other retailers would see it hit the top of their charts, as well.

The publisher, HarperCollins, has went from an initial printing of 1.5 million, to the announcement that, so far, they have a total of 3 million books ordered for print. They are saying
this is the best selling book of the year. By the way, if you don’t have this book, you really are missing out on something special.

Sarah’s book tour has been nothing short of phenomenal. For the very first stop, in Michigan, people lined up 36 hours ahead of time, just for a spot in line to meet her. They slept outside in cold weather, braved the elements, just for the chance to get a few seconds of time with the Arctic Fox, as well as her autograph, and maybe a handshake. It’s been like this at every stop along the way. Thousands have lined up in support. Most wishing her success if she runs for President of the United States, and many convinced they had just met the next President of the United States!

As Bill O’Reilly put it Monday night on his television show, Sarah has been so successful since steeping down, that she is now running victory laps around her critics!

Part of what brought this out of him was her surprise appearance on the Tonight Show. William Shatner, who has been doing the beatnik gig for decades, doing this sort of thing with popular songs and the like, has poked fun at Sarah by reading her tweets or other pieces of work. This time he set out to give a “reading” from her book. As usual, Shatner was funny. The set up, of course, was Sarah then coming on and turning the tables on Shatner by reading from his book.

The crowd in the audience was unaware, as they had been sequestered during auditions, to make it a true surprise to them, and the audience at home. The roar heard when Sarah took the stage was simply incredible. Of course, her performance was great. Even the far left was going “oh-oh” as they realized they totally misunderestimated her talent. They begrudgingly proclaimed her performance good.

If you haven’t seen it, click here. Sarah also put up some photos on her Facebook page. She was happily entertaining some members of the Wounded Warrior Project backstage. You can view all of those by clicking here.

By the way, that red jacket? That’s the same one she wore for her book cover photo, and the same one she and Laura Ingraham are auctioning off to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project and the Fisher House, two wonderful groups that help our wounded troops and their families.

Leadership is not waiting to see where it’s going. Leadership is making it go somewhere.

____Tammy Bruce

Time and time again Sarah Palin has proven she is a true leader. While other see the problems facing us, they are timid in their actions. It’s tough politically, to be a true leader. You actually have to stand for something. You have to go on record, and in this day and time, that record will follow you. God help you if you change your stance on something, even if it is because you have learned more about something that has caused you to rethink your position!

There is a difference between changing your mind based on new and important information about a subject and flip-flopping with the change of the political winds. But you’ll still catch hell!

When Sarah so eloquently spoke of “death panels” earlier this year she was slammed from every direction. The far left, the squishy Republicans, the media, and the President all pronounced her crazy, and more. Funny thing though, the people understood. One of Sarah’s great strengths is that she can take rather complicated issues and distill them down to a single, simple to understand concepts.

Health care rationing is a grim reality in government run health care. Nameless, faceless bureaucrats, using formulas created by panels of accountants, not doctors, decide who is worthy of the best treatments, and who isn’t. This discussion can get lengthy as one goes through the process governments use to come up with all of this. To say the least, it’s a complicated issue.

Death panels” really says it all though. It cuts to the chase.

While Sarah was catching hell for all of this, the usual suspects, the so-called Republican leaders, and “2012 front-runners” were hiding under their desks.

This is a pattern that is followed over and over as Sarah speaks out on the most important issues of our time.

In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, brave, hated, and scorned. When his cause succeeds however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a Patriot.

____Mark Twain

We saw no better example of Mark Twain’s words than the special election held in New York’s 23rd Congressional District earlier this year. No need to rehash the whole affair here, but that was a true stand against the system. You had a backroom deal, not a primary, that put a supposedly “moderate” Republican, who was actually a far left “progressive,” in the running. DeDe Scozzafava was more radical than 43 percent of the democrat/communist party in the New York State Assembly, from where she was plucked!

Enter Doug Hoffman. He was the long shot independent with no hope. The Republican Party considered him a nuisance that would spoil their ideal “moderate” candidate’s chance. He was a spoiler.

A hand full of Conservatives came to support Hoffman. Then came the endorsement from Sarah Palin. Money came pouring in, and immediately Hoffman’s poll numbers increased. In fact, in some polling, Hoffman went from a distant third, to leading. This of course brought national attention to a small, little know race.

Sarah, because she is Sarah, was then vilified by the media and the “good old boy” Republican establishment. She was called every name in the book. The Republican “elites” were losing their minds. Sarah was singlehandedly destroying the Republican Party!

Then a funny thing happened. All of the momentum shifted to Hoffman. It seemed he had a real shot. Even better, DeDe Scozafava, the “moderate” Republican dropped out. At this point support for Hoffman came out of the woodwork. One by one, the so-called leaders all came out from under their desks and jumped on the Hoffman bandwagon. Gutless wonders all.

Whether it’s corruption, health care, energy, monetary policy, Afghanistan, the global warming hoax, or any other pressing matter, Sarah always has the courage to take on the establishment, to speak out. To take a stand while others remain timid.

Hemingway called courage: grace under pressure. Sarah Palin is one of the most courageous politicians in the modern era of American politics.

That’s a lot to get out of one photo, I know, but this is the very essence of Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin’s WaPo Op-Ed On Climate Change 3rd Most Read Of The Year

Posted by Gary P Jackson on December 12, 2009

An Op-Ed Sarah Palin wrote for the Washington Post, that appeared in the July 14, 2009 edition, entitled The Cap and Tax Dead End, turns out to be the third most read Op-Ed of 2009. The most recent Op-Ed Sarah penned for the august daily, which appeared this past Wednesday, December 9th, entitled Copenhagen’s Political Science, clocks in at the 21st most read.

Obviously that’s sort of big news, or at least a significant piece of trivia, as WaPo runs thousands of Op-Eds yearly. This obviously says that when Sarah speaks, people listen, and when Sarah writes, people read. Of course, supporters know that already, and her record shattering books sales, and 1.1 million Facebook supporters that read her every note, certainly attest to Sarah’s ability to draw readers in and hold their attention.

As you may remember, when Sarah wrote the Op-Ed in July, the left went berserk, and trotted out known climate scientist, John F.Kerry, who served in Vietnam, to deliver a meager rebuttal, which of course was an epic fail.

This latest Op-Ed though has the entire left all wee-wee’d up! As you know, Sarah has taken on the biggest liar in the whole global warming scam, Al Gore, as well as demanding, for a second time, that Obama take a pass on Copenhagen. This of course has the usual suspects losing their minds, while they perform mental and verbal gymnastics trying to justify their pagan beliefs, in the wake of the global warming hoax being exposed to the general public, with more proof coming out daily.

What is remarkable though, are the attacks on the Washington Post itself, for even running Sarah’s Op-Eds! Deliciously, Greg Sargent of the WaPo’s own Plum Line blog, is in high dudgeon and full cross burning mode over this:

Sarah Palin’s Copenhagen-Bashing Op-Ed One Of Most Read WaPo Opinion Pieces Of The Year

Here’s a dispiriting postscript to the massive flap over The Washington Post’s decision to publish an Op ed by Sarah Palin on climate change, a piece that has been widely criticized as riddled with falsehoods.

I’m told by the paper’s insiders that her piece was one of the most-read WaPo opinion pieces of the year, coming in 21st in page views out of literally hundreds of opinion articles. An earlier Palin Op ed in the paper on the same topic was the third most read of the year.

A lot of this is probably driven by heavy outside linkage. But still, the fact that Sarah Palin, of all people, is able to command such attention for her views on the science of climate change, of all things, is kind of amazing.

To be clear, I’m not defending the decision to run the piece. I wouldn’t have run it. I’m just pointing out the undeniable fact that the woman’s name gets people clicking. Until people stop clicking, Palin and her views will continue to get attention.

Don’t you just love the “loving” and “tolerant” left? We were laughing ourselves silly when we read this in the early hours of the morning. The consensus among friends, and hey if consensus is good enough for science……Anyhow, we were all asking ourselves if these people really don’t see just how much like Nazis they sound like.

Remember when the left was spreading lies about Sarah “banning books?” You know, the list that was going around that had books on it that weren’t even written yet, when she was Mayor of Wasilla, and supposedly banning them? Yeah, that one!

Remember how insane the left went over this “book banning” hoax? Remember how “evil” they thought Sarah was for “banning books?” You know censorship man. It was almost as insane as they go over the global warming hoax. Hmmm, the left sure believes in a lot of hoaxes. Wouldn’t that basically make “progressives” supremely gullible?

But I digress.

These people cannot compete in the marketplace of ideas, so their answer is to always attempt to silence the competition. It’s truly all they’ve got.

Notice how Mr Sargent starts off by being “dispirited?” Well, he should be. Sarah Palin is single-handedly exposing their nonsensical lives, and beliefs. Sarah is single-handedly putting the brakes on their crazy ideas for “fundamentally remaking America.” Sarah is a force of nature they cannot stop!

Then, Mr Sargent goes into full Alinsky mode by saying her piece was “widely criticized as riddled with falsehoods.” Widely criticized by who? What are the falsehoods? Who knows! The reader is left to their own faith, or lack thereof, in Mr Sargent. The old “trust me, it just is” ploy.

Yeah, let’s trust a guy who runs around screaming like his hair is on fire and telling you “don’t read this, don’t listen to the bad lady!” Yeah… for sane people, that means: “I might ought to take a look at what this guy doesn’t want me to see. It might just be something!

What’s hilarious is Mr Sargent’s incredulity at the fact people would read, and take stock in, something written by “Little Old Sarah Palin from Wasilla.”

This is where I always just stop and shake my head. You wonder if these so-called journalists are capable of doing even the most basic of research on their subjects, or if they just sit around in an echo chamber believing their own BS.

So let me ask Mr Sargent this: Just why WOULD the public want to listen to a woman who is a lifelong environmentalist and conservationist? Why WOULD the public want to listen to a woman who was her state’s chief energy and environmental regulator, in an energy rich, and environmentally conscious state, and a woman, who as Governor, chaired an multi-state agency that was also tasked with both energy regulation as well as environmentally sound practices?

Why WOULD the public want to listen to Sarah Palin, who as AOGCC chair, IOGCC chair, and Governor, has a stellar record is safeguarding Alaska’s environment, and holding violators of policy accountable? Why indeed would anyone want to listen to her about subjects concerning the environment!

As remarkable as the fact that Sarah’s Op-Eds are well read and taken seriously by millions is, the real story here is just how totally sad the “progressives” have become. Their little world view is being shattered. Their narrow-mindedness has been exposed to the world.

Most people in America are fair minded. Even when someone is saying things we don’t believe in, we give them the opportunity to speak. In fact, our right to speak is guaranteed by the very first amendment to our Constitution. It’s the very first right in the Bill of Rights, a set of rules that restrict what government can do, a restraint on government from infringing our God given rights. Men have died protecting these rights.

Only those without real ideas and real solutions want to silence others. Only those who rely on tricks and falsehoods run around screaming “the debate is over” and saying idiotic things like “the science is settled” right in the middle of the revelations that prove, without a doubt, that global warming is a hoax and a scam!

This, of course, applies to everything the left does, not just their scheme on “climate change.” The left is just as wee-wee’ed up over Sarah Palin, and many others, who dare try and stop them from destroying health care in America, and usurping our Constitution.

I have a thought for the radical left: How about instead of thumbing through your well worn copy of Saul Alinsky’s Rules, in an attempt to smear others, you actually come up with real and plausible ideas! How about you stop living in your land of fantasy and theory, and join the real world!

That’s where Sarah Palin, and the rest of us live.

It’s On…Sarah Palin vs Al Gore: Lets have A Debate!

Posted by Gary P Jackson on December 9, 2009

Sarah Palin has a solid, hard hitting Op-Ed in today’s edition of the Washington Post. Once again, in light of the fact this global warming hoax has been exposed, she demands Obama to boycott Copenhagen.

From WaPo:

Copenhagen’s Political Science

By Sarah Palin

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

With the publication of damaging e-mails from a climate research center in Britain, the radical environmental movement appears to face a tipping point. The revelation of appalling actions by so-called climate change experts allows the American public to finally understand the concerns so many of us have articulated on this issue.

Climate-gate,” as the e-mails and other documents from the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia have become known, exposes a highly politicized scientific circle — the same circle whose work underlies efforts at the Copenhagen climate change conference. The agenda-driven policies being pushed in Copenhagen won’t change the weather, but they would change our economy for the worse.

The e-mails reveal that leading climate “experts” deliberately destroyed records, manipulated data to “hide the decline” in global temperatures, and tried to silence their critics by preventing them from publishing in peer-reviewed journals. What’s more, the documents show that there was no real consensus even within the CRU crowd. Some scientists had strong doubts about the accuracy of estimates of temperatures from centuries ago, estimates used to back claims that more recent temperatures are rising at an alarming rate.

This scandal obviously calls into question the proposals being pushed in Copenhagen. I’ve always believed that policy should be based on sound science, not politics. As governor of Alaska, I took a stand against politicized science when I sued the federal government over its decision to list the polar bear as an endangered species despite the fact that the polar bear population had more than doubled. I got clobbered for my actions by radical environmentalists nationwide, but I stood by my view that adding a healthy species to the endangered list under the guise of “climate change impacts” was an abuse of the Endangered Species Act. This would have irreversibly hurt both Alaska’s economy and the nation’s, while also reducing opportunities for responsible development.

Our representatives in Copenhagen should remember that good environmental policymaking is about weighing real-world costs and benefits — not pursuing a political agenda. That’s not to say I deny the reality of some changes in climate — far from it. I saw the impact of changing weather patterns firsthand while serving as governor of our only Arctic state. I was one of the first governors to create a subcabinet to deal specifically with the issue and to recommend common-sense policies to respond to the coastal erosion, thawing permafrost and retreating sea ice that affect Alaska’s communities and infrastructure.

But while we recognize the occurrence of these natural, cyclical environmental trends, we can’t say with assurance that man’s activities cause weather changes. We can say, however, that any potential benefits of proposed emissions reduction policies are far outweighed by their economic costs. And those costs are real. Unlike the proposals China and India offered prior to Copenhagen — which actually allow them to increase their emissions — President Obama’s proposal calls for serious cuts in our own long-term carbon emissions. Meeting such targets would require Congress to pass its cap-and-tax plans, which will result in job losses and higher energy costs (as Obama admitted during the campaign). That’s not exactly what most Americans are hoping for these days. And as public opposition continues to stall Congress’s cap-and-tax legislation, Environmental Protection Agency bureaucrats plan to regulate carbon emissions themselves, doing an end run around the American people.

In fact, we’re not the only nation whose people are questioning climate change schemes. In the European Union, energy prices skyrocketed after it began a cap-and-tax program. Meanwhile, Australia’s Parliament recently defeated a cap-and-tax bill. Surely other nations will follow suit, particularly as the climate e-mail scandal continues to unfold.

In his inaugural address, President Obama declared his intention to “restore science to its rightful place.” But instead of staying home from Copenhagen and sending a message that the United States will not be a party to fraudulent scientific practices, the president has upped the ante. He plans to fly in at the climax of the conference in hopes of sealing a “deal.” Whatever deal he gets, it will be no deal for the American people. What Obama really hopes to bring home from Copenhagen is more pressure to pass the Democrats’ cap-and-tax proposal. This is a political move. The last thing America needs is misguided legislation that will raise taxes and cost jobs — particularly when the push for such legislation rests on agenda-driven science.

Without trustworthy science and with so much at stake, Americans should be wary about what comes out of this politicized conference. The president should boycott Copenhagen

Sarah references this video in her piece. We’ve posted it before, but frankly it needs to be played all day, every day, as long as this global warming hoax is still being shoved down our throats:

Now, the Clown Prince of all of this, the most unabashed liar in history, Al Gore is weighing in. Remember now, Al Gore has already turned his little scam into a personal bank in the hundreds of millions of dollars, and if cap and trade passes, stands to make billions.

Nothing wrong with making money….unless it comes from the destruction of the world’s economies and enslaves the entire world’s population, and denies all peoples freedom and liberty. At that point, there’s something very, very wrong.

Readers know exactly where I stand. I think Gore, Obama, and absolutely everyone pushing this lie should at minimum be jailed for the rest of their lives. They are committing treason. These policies will not only destroy the United States, they will destroy the world.

You know, if Gore actually lived the lifestyle he wants to force you into, it might be something, but well, this guy is the biggest hypocrite alive today.

As Newsbusters Noel Sheppard reported a while back:

Hypocrisy Update: Al Gore’s Home Uses 20 Times the Energy of Average American’s

In another classic example of liberals telling Americans to “Do As I Say, Not As I Do,” Dr. Global Warming Himself, aka Al Gore, has been identified by the Tennessee Center for Policy Research as talking a good game about energy conservation while not walking the walk.

In a press release published Monday just hours after the conclusion of the Academy Awards, the “independent, nonprofit and nonpartisan research organization” reported (emphasis mine throughout, h/t Drudge): “Last night, Al Gore’s global-warming documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, collected an Oscar for best documentary feature, but the Tennessee Center for Policy Research has found that Gore deserves a gold statue for hypocrisy.”

The release marvelously continued:

Gore’s mansion, located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service (NES).”

Lest we not forget that in his celluloid tribute to junk science, “the former Vice President calls on Americans to conserve energy by reducing electricity consumption at home.”

As a frame of reference, “[t]he average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy.”

By contrast, in 2006, Dr. Global Warming “devoured nearly 221,000 kWh—more than 20 times the national average.”

The release elaborated:

Last August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh—guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year. As a result of his energy consumption, Gore’s average monthly electric bill topped $1,359.

Yet, the really delicious hypocrisy was still to come: “Since the release of An Inconvenient Truth, Gore’s energy consumption has increased from an average of 16,200 kWh per month in 2005, to 18,400 kWh per month in 2006.”

Isn’t that just ducky? This charlatan goes around the world telling people that they need to conserve energy to save the planet, and his consumption increased by almost 14 percent.

What a crock! As a result, the press release aptly concluded:

As the spokesman of choice for the global warming movement, Al Gore has to be willing to walk the walk, not just talk the talk, when it comes to home energy use,” said Tennessee Center for Policy Research President Drew Johnson.

In the immortal words of Our Gang’s Farina, you said a mouthful.

UPDATE (Ken Shepherd | 2/27/2007, 09:12 EST): The Anchoress has a good critique at her site, where she notes that President Bush’s Crawford ranch is and has been eco-friendlier than Gore’s mansion for years, although the press rarely if ever give the president credit for that.

Now bear in mind this home is just one of four that he owns. Again, nothing wrong with owning four homes or four thousand homes, but when you are going around hysterically screaming like a rabid hyena that the “earth is on fire” and demand people return to a 13th century lifestyle, well, then there are some things that need explaining.

Also, while Gore preaches that the internal combustion engine is the “greatest threat to mankind,” the guy flies on a Gulfstream private jet everywhere. Nothing wrong with that either, for most people.

I imagine every unapologetic capitalist has dreamed of reaching the level of success that allows you to travel by private jet. But most of us are not crooks, liars, and/or deranged! The Gulfstream is a fine luxury aircraft. It is also the least fuel efficient private jet one can own!

And this is from a guy who is screaming that the world is en fuego!

Andrea Mitchell over at MSNBC reports this:

In an interview that will air on MSNBC at 1:00 pm ET today, Al Gore rebutted Sarah Palin’s Washington Post op-ed and Facebook postings that question the science on climate change given the “Climate-gate” controversy.

In response, Gore said that “the deniers are persisting in an era of unreality. The entire North Polar icecap is disappearing before our eyes… What do they think is happening?

He said we’ve seen record storms, droughts, fires — and the effects taking place are exactly as predicted by these scientists for years.

Asked about Palin’s charge on Facebook that these are “doomsday scare tactics pushed by an environmental priesthood,” Gore replied that the scientific community has worked on this issue for 20 years. “It’s a principle in physics. It’s like gravity. It exists.”

Gore attributed the partisan divide (in recent Pew polls) over climate change in part to the fact that people believed to be the leadership of the modern Republican Party has adopted a global-warming-denier attitude. He said that 100% of the people who changed their opinion about global warming are conservative, adding that climate change should be a bipartisan issue like it used to be. He cited Lindsey Graham as one example of a Republican leader who accepts the science.

When asked about President Obama’s proposal for Copenhagen being even less than the Clinton-Gore proposal for Kyoto in 1997, the former vice president said. “It’s weaker than it should be, but it’s a crucial first step.” Gore added that Obama — with whom he met on Monday — shouldn’t be expected to make commitments beyond what Congress is willing to do.

And was it a mistake to do health care first, since climate change is now delayed in the Senate? Gore responded that “hindsight is 20/20.” If they had known that health care would take this long maybe they would have made different calculations, Gore said. But he noted that Obama has consistently made climate change one of his top priorities.

But: “I would always like to see more done.”

As usual, pretty much everything out of the Goreacle’s mouth, from the word hello, is a lie. The Polar Ice caps are not melting. Once can look at any number of polls, and guess what, belief in the global warming hoax is at an all time low. And when asked about priorities, people always place “climate change” dead last as things they care about.

From Newsmax:

Belief in Global Warming at All-Time Low — BEFORE Climategate

A new poll reveals that the percentage of Americans who believe carbon dioxide emissions will cause global warming has dropped dramatically in recent years.

And that poll by Harris Interactive was conducted between Nov. 2 and 11 — before the so-called “climategate” controversy erupted, calling into question the validity of some of the science supporting manmade global warming.

The poll found that the percentage of American who believe in global warming has dropped from 75 percent in 2001 and 71 percent in 2007 to just 51 percent.

At the same time, the percentage of those who do not believe in global warming has risen from 19 percent in 2001 and 23 percent in 2007 to 29 percent today, and the percentage who are unsure has climbed from 6 percent to 21 percent since 2001.

The 51 percent who believe emissions will cause climate change is by far the lowest number recorded in any Harris Poll since we started asking this question 12 years ago,” Harris Interactive disclosed.

Opinions differed sharply along party lines — 73 percent of Democrats believe in manmade global warming, compared to 28 percent of Republicans and 49 percent of Independents.

As for the upcoming international conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, only 28 percent of those polled knew that the main topic to be discussed is global warming and climate change. Nearly 10 percent said the economic crisis would be the topic, while smaller numbers cited nuclear weapons, health and epidemics, terrorism, international trade, or drugs.

Six days after the poll closed, on Nov. 17, someone hacked a server used by the Climatic Research Unit of the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England, and disseminated more than a thousand e-mails and other documents.

Climate change skeptics charge that the e-mails show collusion by climate scientists to skew scientific information in favor of manmade global warming.

The leaked documents “show that prominent scientists were so wedded to theories of manmade global warming that they ridiculed dissenters who asked for copies of their data, plotted how to keep researchers who reached different conclusions from publishing, and concealed apparently buggy computer code from being disclosed under the Freedom of Information law,” CBS News reported.

One climatologist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research was quoted as saying: “The fact is that we can’t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can’t.”

This is bound to be time for a nice video break!

I wrote yesterday about the lunacy of all of this, and referenced the previous climate hysteria over “global cooling” and the coming ice age that alarmists were running around like Chicken Littles about in the 1970’s.

Forbes Magazine’s Gary Sutton also touches on this and the poor quality of climate research:

The Fiction Of Climate Science

Why the climatologists get it wrong.

Many of you are too young to remember, but in 1975 our government pushed “the coming ice age.”

Random House dutifully printed “THE WEATHER CONSPIRACY … coming of the New Ice Age.” This may be the only book ever written by 18 authors. All 18 lived just a short sled ride from Washington, D.C. Newsweek fell in line and did a cover issue warning us of global cooling on April 28, 1975. And The New York Times, Aug. 14, 1976, reported “many signs that Earth may be headed for another ice age.”

In 1974, the National Science Board announced: “During the last 20 to 30 years, world temperature has fallen, irregularly at first but more sharply over the last decade. Judging from the record of the past interglacial ages, the present time of high temperatures should be drawing to an end…leading into the next ice age.”

You can’t blame these scientists for sucking up to the fed’s mantra du jour. Scientists live off grants. Remember how Galileo recanted his preaching about the earth revolving around the sun? He, of course, was about to be barbecued by his leaders. Today’s scientists merely lose their cash flow. Threats work.

In 2002 I stood in a room of the Smithsonian. One entire wall charted the cooling of our globe over the last 60 million years. This was no straight line. The curve had two steep dips followed by leveling. There were no significant warming periods. Smithsonian scientists inscribed it across some 20 feet of plaster, with timelines.

Last year, I went back. That fresco is painted over. The same curve hides behind smoked glass, shrunk to three feet but showing the same cooling trend. Hey, why should the Smithsonian put its tax-free status at risk? If the politicians decide to whip up public fear in a different direction, get with it, oh ye subsidized servants. Downplay that embarrassing old chart and maybe nobody will notice.

Sorry, I noticed.

It’s the job of elected officials to whip up panic. They then get re-elected. Their supporters fall in line.

Al Gore thought he might ride his global warming crusade back toward the White House. If you saw his movie, which opened showing cattle on his farm, you start to understand how shallow this is. The United Nations says that cattle, farting and belching methane, create more global warming than all the SUVs in the world. Even more laughably, Al and his camera crew flew first class for that film, consuming 50% more jet fuel per seat-mile than coach fliers, while his Tennessee mansion sucks as much carbon as 20 average homes.

His PR folks say he’s “carbon neutral” due to some trades. I’m unsure of how that works, but, maybe there’s a tribe in the Sudan that cannot have a campfire for the next hundred years to cover Al’s energy gluttony. I’m just not sophisticated enough to know how that stuff works. But I do understand he flies a private jet when the camera crew is gone.

The fall of Saigon in the ’70s may have distracted the shrill pronouncements about the imminent ice age. Science’s prediction of “A full-blown, 10,000 year ice age,” came from its March 1, 1975 issue. The Christian Science Monitor observed that armadillos were retreating south from Nebraska to escape the “global cooling” in its Aug. 27, 1974 issue.

That armadillo caveat seems reminiscent of today’s tales of polar bears drowning due to glaciers disappearing.

While scientists march to the drumbeat of grant money, at least trees don’t lie. Their growth rings show what’s happened no matter which philosophy is in power. Tree rings show a mini ice age in Europe about the time Stradivarius crafted his violins. Chilled Alpine Spruce gave him tighter wood so the instruments sang with a new purity. But England had to give up the wines that the Romans cultivated while our globe cooled, switching from grapes to colder weather grains and learning to take comfort with beer, whisky and ales.

Yet many centuries earlier, during a global warming, Greenland was green. And so it stayed and was settled by Vikings for generations until global cooling came along. Leif Ericsson even made it to Newfoundland. His shallow draft boats, perfect for sailing and rowing up rivers to conquer villages, wouldn’t have stood a chance against a baby iceberg.

Those sustained temperature swings, all before the evil economic benefits of oil consumption, suggest there are factors at work besides humans.

Today, as I peck out these words, the weather channel is broadcasting views of a freakish and early snow falling on Dallas. The Iowa state extension service reports that the record corn crop expected this year will have unusually large kernels, thanks to “relatively cool August and September temperatures.” And on Jan. 16, 2007, NPR went politically incorrect, briefly, by reporting that “An unusually harsh winter frost, the worst in 20 years, killed much of the California citrus, avocados and flower crops.”

To be fair, those reports are short-term swings. But the longer term changes are no more compelling, unless you include the ice ages, and then, perhaps, the panic attempts of the 1970s were right. Is it possible that if we put more CO2 in the air, we’d forestall the next ice age?

I can ask “outrageous” questions like that because I’m not dependent upon government money for my livelihood. From the witch doctors of old to the elected officials today, scaring the bejesus out of the populace maintains their status.

Sadly, the public just learned that our scientific community hid data and censored critics. Maybe the feds should drop this crusade and focus on our health care crisis. They should, of course, ignore the life insurance statistics that show every class of American and both genders are living longer than ever. That’s another inconvenient fact.

Think about this a minute. Some of the very same “scientists,” and geniuses in Congress and Big Government, who are screaming we must “do something or else” over this global warming hoax, are these same brain surgeons who were telling the world 30 years ago that the whole world wold look like Alaska! (As in really, really cold!)

I seem to remember these loons back then were talking about ways to actually send up soot and other particles into the atmosphere to “insulate the world.” These people have been certifiably insane for a long, long time!

I’m actually glad to see Gore respond to Sarah. Al Gore is notorious for never debating anyone, or answering any kind of questions about his lies. Sarah Palin on the other hand is known for taking people head on. You know that she will now respond to Gore, just as she has others who have questioned her.

Sarah has famously taken up residence in the president’s head after just destroying him on health care. So much so that he is addressing her while giving joint addresses to Congress and the nation! If she can do that to our “brilliant” president. What can she do to Al Gore?

Personally, I’d love to see a televised debate. Texas energy billionaire T. Boone Pickens has offered to debate Gore on numerous occasions, even to the point of offering up millions of dollars for charity, to no avail.

I envision a live pay-per-view event between the Goreacle and the ‘Cuda!

As I see it: You have a known, and serious, environmentalist who is grounded in reality and common sense. A woman who has dealt with both energy and the environment as her state’s chief regulator, and has an exemplary record.

A Governor who lead the nation in setting a path for her state to get 50 percent of it’s energy renewable sources by 2025. Exactly double the figure that Barack Obama proposed, but has done absolutely nothing to actually make anything happen, to move his proposal along.

A citizen who has a genuine love for the land. A genuine love for nature.

Then you have Al Gore, a Divinity school drop out who score barely passing grades in math and science. A total hack and hypocrite at every level.

At best, Al Gore is a loon, and actually believes the nonsense that he is peddling. But more likely, he’s like every other corrupt democrat/communist in America. Like Obama and his buddies at the Chicago Climate Exchange, and everyone else pushing things like cap and trade, Gore is set to make billions of dollars, off of this hoax!

That makes Al Gore a crook. A crook who makes Bernie Madoff look like a saint!

I read a comment yesterday that sums up “global warming” or “climate change” as well as it can be done. Global warming is the “pet rock” of the 21st Century. A big scam!

A big honking scam!

So let’s have a pay-per-view debate!

Let’s see the Arctic Fox take on the Goreacle. Take all of the millions of dollars it will raise and donate the money to charities that benefit our brave men and women in the military!

Some smart promoter needs to make this happen!

My money is on Sarah Palin!

Sarah Palin Demands Obama Boycott Copenhagen And Investigate Climategate: Obama Abruptly Announces He Will Postpone Trip

Posted by Gary P Jackson on December 4, 2009

Sarah Palin is living in Obama’s head, rent free. This happened so fast I didn’t even have a chance to write about Sarah’s demands in the first place!

Knowing that Obama is about to sign away United States sovereignty and make us subservient to a board of communists who want to use the global warming hoax, the greatest lie ever told, to redistribute the world’s wealth, Sarah has demanded that Obama not only boycott the conference, but investigate the entire global warming lie.

Here’s what she has to say:

Mr. President: Boycott Copenhagen; Investigate Your Climate Change “Experts”

The president’s decision to attend the international climate conference in Copenhagen needs to be reconsidered in light of the unfolding Climategate scandal. The leaked e-mails involved in Climategate expose the unscientific behavior of leading climate scientists who deliberately destroyed records to block information requests, manipulated data to “hide the decline” in global temperatures, and conspired to silence the critics of man-made global warming. I support Senator James Inhofe’s call for a full investigation into this scandal. Because it involves many of the same personalities and entities behind the Copenhagen conference, Climategate calls into question many of the proposals being pushed there, including anything that would lead to a cap and tax plan.

Policy should be based on sound science, not snake oil. I took a stand against such snake oil science when I sued the federal government over its decision to list the polar bear as an endangered species despite the fact that the polar bear population has increased. I’ve never denied the reality of climate change; in fact, I was the first governor to create a subcabinet position to deal specifically with the issue. I saw the impact of changing weather patterns firsthand while serving as governor of our only Arctic state. But while we recognize the effects of changing water levels, erosion patterns, and glacial ice melt, we cannot primarily blame man’s activities for the earth’s cyclical weather changes. The drastic economic measures being pushed by dogmatic environmentalists won’t change the weather, but will dramatically change our economy for the worse.

Policy decisions require real science and real solutions, not junk science and doomsday scare tactics pushed by an environmental priesthood that capitalizes on the public’s worry and makes them feel that owning an SUV is a “sin” against the planet. In his inaugural address, President Obama declared his intention to “restore science to its rightful place.” Boycotting Copenhagen while this scandal is thoroughly investigated would send a strong message that the United States government will not be a party to fraudulent scientific practices. Saying no to Copenhagen and cap and tax are first steps in “restoring science to its rightful place.”

– Sarah Palin

It really doesn’t get much simpler than that. One of the many lies Obama has told America, and the world, is that he wants to restore science to “it’s rightful place.” It’s very good to see the Arctic Fox holding his feet to the fire.

Now obviously the Obama administration will spin this to no end, but I find it interesting that I first heard about this decision to “postpone” the trip while watching Friday’s Neil Cavuto Show on Fox News. The breaking news came only minutes after Sarah Palin’s demands were being discussed on the show!

No, I’m not implying they panicked after seeing Cavuto’s show and baled. After all, it’s been what,…..20 hours (?)……since Sarah first posted her demand? But it was certainly a funny coincidence.

I wonder if this will be global warming’s “death panels?”

Here’s the reporting from Fox:

President Obama on Friday abruptly altered the timing of his upcoming appearance at an international climate summit in Copenhagen, hoping to capitalize on steps by India and China and build a more meaningful political accord, the White House announced Friday.

“Based on his conversations with other leaders and the progress that has already been made to give momentum to negotiations, the president believes that continued U.S. leadership can be most productive through his participation at the end of the Copenhagen conference on Dec.18th,” White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said in a written statement.

“There are still outstanding issues that must be negotiated for an agreement to be reached, but this decision reflects the president’s commitment to doing all that he can to pursue a positive outcome,” he said.

The move means Obama will be at the summit on Dec. 18, considered a crucial period when more leaders will be in attendance, as opposed to his scheduled stop in Denmark on Wednesday on his way to Nobel Peace Prize events in Oslo.

It also means that Obama will be squeezing in a separate, 10th foreign trip before Christmas — a record pace of travel for a first-year president

Look, I’m a hard liner on the global warming hoax. This greatest lie ever told has done incalculable damage to humanity. Entire industries have been destroyed, or rendered unprofitable, over this. People in third world countries are starving because we are turning food into a seriously crappy motor fuel. We’ve spent untold billions, if not trillions, of dollars because of this.

Quite frankly, if I were in charge, I would demand Mr Obama be detained, and arrested for treason the very minute he stepped onboard Air Force One to go to this phony baloney “climate conference.”

There will be a lot more to come on this subject. For now, here’s a bit put together about one of the worst liars in this greatest lie ever told:

Sarah Palin To Corrupt Media: Really? Still Making Things Up?

Posted by Gary P Jackson on November 15, 2009

If there is anything we have all learned over the last few years it’s the media in this nation is corrupt. They are liars and cannot be trusted. It’s one of the reasons that newspapers and magazines are going broke. It’s also why all of the other cables news stations are losing viewers en masse, to Fox News. CNN, the pioneer of cable news, and one of the most partisan networks, now has no shows that even track in the top 30 on cable. Fox, of course, owns the entire top 10 all day every day.

And don’t get me started with MSNBC! They are so in the tank for Obama, that getting real news from that outlet is impossible. MSNBC is owned by General Electric, and GE’s Chairman, Jeffrey Immelt sits on several boards of advisors to Barack Obama. GE has been a recipient of billions of taxpayer dollars to their financial divisions through TARP, and stands to make hundreds of billions through Obama’s mischief like the government take over of your health care and the cap and tax scheme surrounding the fictional “global warming” nonsense.

So trying to get anything but pure propaganda out of MSNBC is an exercise in total futility.

With that in mind, the highly suspect Associated Press, which has a level of bias only matched by MSNBC, has put no less than eleven “fact checkers” to work at “fact checking” Sarah Palin’s book that they somehow got a hold of.

Nothing wrong with giving an honest review of anyone’s book, or for that matter, “fact checking.” But eleven people, really?

We have the most corrupt President in the history of this nation. There are all sorts of questions surrounding this guy. All sorts of shady dealings.

Then there is the “health care” bill. This thing could employ and entire platoon’s worth of fact checkers to separate the lies Obama, Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the democrat/communist controlled Congress are spouting vs the truth.

And what about the al Qaeda connected Ft Hood terrorist Hasan, who we now know was part of Barack Obama’s Homeland Security Transition Team! You think there might be a few questions that one should ask about all of this? Something like, oh…I don’t know, maybe like: “Mr Obama, why are you asking Congress to hold off investigating all of this? Or What are you hiding?

Nope, we gotta figure out if we can smear Sarah Palin by lying about what is in her book that isn’t even available to the general public yet! By the way, her new book is setting sales records, and buried in a Politico hit piece is the fact that HarperCollins, the publisher, has already had to order a second printing of Sarah Palin’s book, Going Rogue, An American Life.

The original printing was 1.5 million books. As we predicted early on, that wasn’t going to be nearly enough. Reportedly, pre-orders of the book at Amazon alone top 80.000. I’m sure the other sellers have similar numbers.

Anyhow, here’s my problem with the Associated Press. Not only are they neglecting real stories, that need real answers, not only are they dedicating a huge staff to one book, they are making stuff up and calling them facts!

This isn’t new for the AP. Unfortunately, the AP is the news service many, if not most newspapers use world wide. So do the cable news networks. So when AP lies, those lies go viral. And as we know, once something is on the internet, and in the search engines, lie or truth, it’s there forever.

With that said, Sarah released a little something of her own:

Really? Still Making Things Up?

The book tour starts this week, and I look forward to it! I’m most looking forward to meeting many of you, shaking your hands, and telling you,”Thanks for loving America.” I’ll give you a scoop here and tell you what’s on the book’s Dedication Page – it’s dedicated to you – Patriots – who love the U.S.A. as much as I do.

Amazingly, but not surprisingly, the AP somehow nabbed a copy of the book before it was released. They’re now erroneously reporting on the book’s contents and are repeating many of the same things they spewed during the campaign and afterwards. We’ve heard 11 writers are engaged in this opposition research, er, “fact checking” research! Imagine that – 11 AP reporters dedicating time and resources to tearing up the book, instead of using the time and resources to “fact check” what’s going on with Sheik Mohammed’s trial, Pelosi’s health care takeover costs, Hasan’s associations, etc. Amazing.

We’ll keep setting the record straight, and we’ll keep reminding some in the media that Americans are very tired of their non-objective reporting. A great, recent post that accomplishes this is a Conservatives4Palin post. It’s got some nice fact checking included. As always, they did a great job holding some of the media accountable for spreading more misinformation and for making things up. You can read it here. Enjoy!

And I can’t wait to see you! God bless the fight for freedom! Keep up the great work, Patriots who love this country.

– Sarah Palin

Sarah references a great piece by our friends over at Conservatives 4 Palin. You should read the entire thing because it goes into a lot of details, But here are just a few tasty bits:

On the Exxon Valdez Decision

AP “FACT”: “That response is at odds with her reaction at the time to the ruling, which resolved the long-running case by reducing punitive damages for victims to $500 million from $2.5 billion. Environmentalists and plaintiffs’ lawyers decried the ruling as a slap at the victims and Palin herself said she was ‘extremely disappointed.’ She said the justices had gutted a jury decision favoring higher damage awards, the Anchorage Daily News reported. ‘It’s tragic that so many Alaska fishermen and their families have had their lives put on hold waiting for this decision,’ she said, noting many had died ‘while waiting for justice.’”

THE TRUTH: Governor Palin writes in her book: “As governor I directed our attorney general to file an amicus brief on behalf of plaintiffs in the case, and, thanks to Alaska’s able attorneys arguing in front of the highest court in our land, in 2008 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of the people. Finally, Alaskans could recover some of their losses.”

That is correct. Alaskans were able to recover some of their losses. However, it was also a tragedy of delayed justice. Alaskans had waited for nearly 20 years, and the Court reduced the amount of punitive damages for the victims.

Governor Palin voiced her support for the $2.5 billion in punitive damages in a press conference with the victims of the Exxon Valdez spill the day before oral arguments were heard. Naturally, she was disappointed that the Court reduced the amount to $500 million – which was especially painful coming as it did after many years of litigation in which some of the victims passed away without ever receiving justice. Even after the Court gutted the punitive damages award, Exxon argued that they shouldn’t have to pay interest on it.

However, it is a matter of record that the Supreme Court did, in fact, rule “in favor of the people.” The “disappointment” was in the reduction of the award and in the delay in justice.

Governor Palin’s immediate reaction to the decision expressed this frustration and disappointment. She said: “I am extremely disappointed with today’s decision by the U.S. Supreme Court. While the decision brings some degree of closure to Alaskans suffering from 19 years of litigation and delay, the Court gutted the jury’s decision on punitive damages. It is tragic that so many Alaska fishermen and their families have had their lives put on hold waiting for this decision. My heart goes out to those affected, especially the families of the thousands of Alaskans who passed away while waiting for justice.”

On Alaska’s Earmarks

AP “FACT”: “Alaska is also one of the states most dependent on federal subsidies, receiving much more assistance from Washington than it pays in federal taxes. A study for the nonpartisan Tax Foundation found that in 2005, the state received $1.84 for every dollar it sent to Washington.”

THE TRUTH: There is no question that as a very young state Alaska requires more help with infrastructure funding to catch up with the rest of the Lower 48. However, Governor Palin was not governor in 2005. As governor, she reduced Alaska’s earmark requests by nearly 85%.

On Governor Palin’s Frugality in Her Personal Expenses While in Office

AP “FACTS”: “Although travel records indicate [Governor Palin] usually opted for less-pricey hotels while governor, Palin and daughter Bristol stayed five days and four nights at the $707.29-per-night Essex House luxury hotel (robes and slippers come standard) overlooking New York City’s Central Park for a five-hour women’s leadership conference in October 2007. With air fare, the cost to Alaska was well over $3,000. Event organizers said Palin asked if she could bring her daughter. The governor billed her state more than $20,000 for her children’s travel, including to events where they had not been invited, and in some cases later amended expense reports to specify that they had been on official business.”

THE TRUTH: The AP proves Governor Palin’s point by noting that she “usually opted for less-pricey hotels.”

The First Family’s travel was processed by the Administrative Services Department, whose director served under the previous governor. Governor Palin followed the same protocol that past governors had followed. The one obvious difference, however, is that Governor Palin and her family spent less than her two predecessors. In fact, she spent over $913,000 less on personal expenses in her first two years than former Governor Frank Murkowski did his last two years.

“Amending” the reports was not done to hide anything. It was standard practice for Governor Palin’s security personnel to submit the initial trip requests with the basic details of the trip to the Administrative Services Department. Later, the rest of the trip details would be added by the Governor’s personal staff.

And, by the way, perhaps someone could tell us how to find a cheap and safe hotel in New York City. And does anyone think she took a 9 hour flight to the east coast and didn’t do any other business. Riiight. Maybe we can ask Andree McLeod for the Governor’s calendar for that day, seeing as how Andree wasted hundreds of hours of work time of state personnel for her FOIA requests of the Governor’s emails, calendars, and, ah… we don’t know… Piper’s finger paintings.

The simple fact is that Governor Palin and her family spent significantly less than the prior two administrations despite having a much larger family. That is a fact. Clearly frugality was important to her.

On Governor Palin’s Interview with Vogue

AP “FACT”: “Says she tried to talk about national security and energy independence in her interview with Vogue magazine but the interviewer wanted her to pivot from hydropower to high fashion.

THE FACTS are somewhat in dispute. Vogue contributing editor Rebecca Johnson said Palin did not go on about hydropower. ‘She just kept talking about drilling for oil.’”

THE TRUTH: Governor Palin wanted to talk about resource development. The Vogue contributing editor confirms this. Hydropower is one of many alternative sources of energy used in Alaska. “…hydropower to high fashion” is used as a turn of phrase. Are they really this obtuse?

On Governor Palin’s “Ambitions”

AP “FACT”: “Few politicians own up to wanting high office for the power and prestige of it, and in this respect, Palin fits the conventional mold. But ‘Going Rogue’ has all the characteristics of a pre-campaign manifesto, the requisite autobiography of the future candidate.”

THE TRUTH: We didn’t realize writing a book was a declaration of anything other than the desire to tell one’s story.

Oh yeah, and one more thing…

We got a tip from our very own reliable anonymous source. Apparently the McCain campaign racked up legal costs in Alaska and said repeatedly it would pay for them. When the bill was discussed and submitted, according to the campaign’s wishes, it was turned down after the election and officials said the campaign would have paid if the campaign had won. Among the dollars – nearly $50,000 for vetting. Charming. Again, we ask you folks to consider this: When has the McCain staffers ever behaved honorably or honestly to this woman? Never.

Mark Steyn, with his sharp wit, weighed in on this stupidity by the AP as only he can:

Rogue’s Eleven

If you wonder why American newspapering is dying, consider this sign-off:

AP writers Matt Apuzzo, Sharon Theimer, Tom Raum, Rita Beamish, Beth Fouhy, H. Josef Hebert, Justin D. Pritchard, Garance Burke, Dan Joling and Lewis Shaine contributed to this report.

Wow. That’s ten “AP writers” plus Calvin Woodward, the AP writer whose twinkling pen honed the above contributions into the turgid sludge of the actual report. That’s 11 writers for a 695-word report. What on? Obamacare? The Iranian nuke program? The upcoming trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed?

No, the Associated Press assigned 11 writers to “fact-check” Sarah Palin’s new book, and in return the 11 fact-checkers triumphantly unearthed six errors. That’s 1.8333333 writers for each error. What earth-shattering misstatements did they uncover for this impressive investment? Stand well back:

PALIN: Says she made frugality a point when traveling on state business as Alaska governor, asking “only” for reasonably priced rooms and not “often” going for the “high-end, robe-and-slippers” hotels.

THE FACTS: Although she usually opted for less-pricey hotels while governor, Palin and daughter Bristol stayed five days and four nights at the $707.29-per-night Essex House luxury hotel (robes and slippers come standard)…

That looks like AP paid 1.8333333 fact-checkers to agree with Mrs Palin: She says she didn’t “often” go for “high-end” hotels; they say she “usually opted for less-pricey hotels”. That’s gonna make one must-see edition of “Point/Counterpoint”.

Or is AP arguing “four nights” counts as “often”? Is that the point? AP assigned 11 reporters to demonstrate that four is a large number?

Over at Powerline, John Hinderaker and his vast team of researchers (17 Minneapolis-area Somali jihadists, 29 Acorn-accredited child-sex slaves, and 43 unemployed Columbia School of Journalism graduates) fact-check AP’s fact-checkers.

Coming next:

PALIN: How many AP fact-checkers does it take to change a lightbulb?

FACT: Palin has gone seriously “rogue” in her facts here. AP fact-checkers are prevented per union regulations from changing lightbulbs.

AP writers Matt Apuzzo, Sharon Theimer, Tom Raum, Rita Beamish, Beth Fouhy, H. Josef Hebert, Justin D. Pritchard, Garance Burke, Dan Joling and Lewis Shaine contributed to this joke. We’ll be here all week.

You know, the AP and the rest of the dishonest media, in the long run, are doing more to help Sarah Palin than they will ever understand. Recent polls show that Americans trust the media about the same as they trust lawyers and used car salesmen. People know they are being lied to. And now that more folks have access to the internet, and can do the own fact checking, the jig is up!

The more the media spreads lies about Sarah Palin, the more people world wide start looking into her actual record, her actual accomplishments, and her actual views. As this happens, her base of supports grow exponentially, just as the consumer’s trust of the old media collapses.

The left wing forgets that people can actually think for themselves and are not mind numbed robots.

By the way, our cover photo is an “improvement” of a cover that Newsweek Magazine is running this week, along with an accompanying hit piece, using a photo that was part of an issue of Runners World Magazine that contained an excellent interview with Sarah, more on Newsweak to come!

H/T Serr8D for the artwork.

Sarah Palin: Let’s Follow Reagan’s Example

Posted by Sarah Palin Web Brigade on November 13, 2009

Transcript of Governor Palin’s Facebook post:

Thank you, Washington, for Requesting a Demonstrably Good Idea
Thursday at 7:54pm EST

I commend the president for acknowledging today that “there are limits to what government can and should do” to ease our 10.2% unemployment rate – the highest it’s been since 1983. I also applaud his call for suggestions and expression of openness to considering “any demonstrably good idea.” Taking him at his word, I’d like to suggest this one: let’s learn from history and follow the example of the man who occupied the White House in 1983 and was able to transform an even worse recession than the one we’re currently experiencing into the largest peacetime economic expansion in American history.

When you realize the magnitude of President Reagan’s achievements, there is absolutely no reason why anyone would ignore his “demonstrably good” example. If you want real job growth, cut taxes – including capital gains taxes and small business payroll taxes – and slay the death tax once and for all. If you want to stimulate the economy and help poor and middle class families, cut payroll taxes so that more Americans can keep and invest more of what they earn.

If you want lasting economic expansion and prosperity, get the federal government’s budget under control. Instead of more pork-laden stimulus plans, let the free market correct itself. That’s what Reagan did, and history proves it worked.

In his comments today, the president honorably suggested that he welcomes our ideas on how to put America’s economy on the right track. But, there also seemed to be a suggested chastisement of the private sector’s efforts to right some economic wrongs when he said, “…small businesses and large firms…have not yet been willing to take the steps necessary to hire again.”

As business owners seek to expand, or just to keep doors open today, it’s not as if they are refusing to hire out of spite. Given a pro-private sector environment they will be only too happy to hire more people and grow their businesses. Perhaps if leadership in Washington reassured them by, for example, cutting tax burdens and making government more efficient, it would send our businesses a message that it’s safe and smart to expand today.

These are difficult times for so many Americans who are out of work. I implore our leaders to not threaten our economy’s job creators with increased taxes and job-killing schemes like cap-and-tax and the government health care takeover. Government needs to get out of their way and off their backs so that they can grow and hire again.

The lessons of history are clear. We’re blessed to have so many lessons from which to learn, and we’d be smart to emulate successes in America’s past. Our economic recovery decisions should be based on the same free market principles that Reagan employed. They work, history proves it, and I thank our president for asking for this input.

Sarah Palin To Joe Biden: Hey Pal, You’re The One With The Radical (Non) Energy Policy!

Posted by Gary P Jackson on November 2, 2009

God bless Joe Biden, he truly is the gift that keeps on giving!

Chuck Graham, of course, is in a wheelchair!

Well, our Vice President has stepped in it again. Up in NY-23 today, while campaigning for democrat/communist candidate Bill Owens in front of a reportedly sparse crowd, Biden took a swing at Rush Limbaugh (naturally) and Sarah Palin He went at Sarah especially on energy:

“The fact of the matter is, Sarah Palin thinks the answer to energy is ‘drill, baby, drill,’” said Biden. “It’s a lot more complicated, Sarah!”

Wow, just wow. You have to wonder is Biden really this dumb? (I think we know the answer here) Or, does he think the typical democrat/communist voter is this dumb? (I think we know the answer to this as well, or Joe would still be a Senator!)

Now obviously, Sarah Palin, who was the Chairman of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, the very powerful regulatory body that regulates oil, natural gas, and mining in Alaska knows a thing or two about energy. For those that don’t know, as Governor, Sarah was also the Chairman of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission as well as the Natural Resources chair in the National Governors Association. Of all of the things Sarah Palin can talk about with great authority, energy is certainly at or very near the very top.

So with that in mind, Sarah has this for Joe Biden, via Facebook:

Response to Vice President Biden’s Comments Today About My Position On Energy Independence

As the vice president knows, I have always advocated an all-of-the-above approach to American energy independence. Among other things, my alternative energy goal for Alaska sits at 50 percent because Alaska reached more than 20 percent during my term in office. The Obama-Biden administration, on the other hand, recently announced a renewable goal of only 25 percent. However, domestic drilling should remain a top priority in order to meet America’s consumption and security needs.

The vice president’s extreme opposition to domestic energy development goes all the way back to 1973 when he opposed the Alaska pipeline bill. As Ann Coulter pointed out, “Biden cast one of only five votes against the pipeline that has produced more than 15 billion barrels of oil, supplied nearly 20 percent of this nation’s oil, created tens of thousands of jobs, added hundreds of billions of dollars to the U.S. economy and reduced money transfers to the nation’s enemies by about the same amount.”

This nonsensical opposition to American domestic energy development continues to this day. Apparently the Obama-Biden administration only approves of offshore drilling in Brazil, where it will provide security and jobs for Brazilians. This election is about American security and American jobs.

There’s one way to tell Vice President Biden that we’re tired of folks in Washington distorting our message and hampering our nation’s progress: Hoffman, Baby, Hoffman!

– Sarah Palin

Nice that Sarah got in the shot about Brazil!

As you know, just days after the self proclaimed “owner of the democrat party” Nazi collaborator, and criminal currency speculator, George Soros, bought controlling interest in Brazilian oil company Petrobas, Barack Obama “loaned” the oil giant $10 billion hard earned tax payer greenbacks!

When it comes to energy independence, Sarah Palin is very much someone who is an “all of the above approach” leader. Sarah has consistently advocated clean renewable energy, and put Alaska on a path to get 50 percent of it’s energy through renewables, exactly double the goal Barack Obama set for America as a whole!

Sarah is a big advocate of solar and wind, but understands we must also have nuclear as well as clean coal, natural gas, and yes, oil. No matter what “magic bullet” research may come up with, conventional sources of energy will be with us for generations to come.

Sarah Palin’s signature achievement as Governor of Alaska was AGIA which has led to the natural gas line that will be built from Alaska to the lower 48. Natural gas, quite simply, is the cleanest burning fuel there is. It’s not zero emissions, there is no such thing, but it’s clean enough that industries use CNG (compressed natural gas) powered machinery, such as fork lifts, indoors and in enclosed spaces, because of such low emissions.

This pipline, as it is being built, will be the largest construction project in North American history costing around $40 billion.

Contrast this with the real and true party of NO(!), the democrat/communist party of Joe Biden and Barack Obama. The democrat/communist party is against pretty much all forms of energy.

Oil and natural gas? Oh no, they’re “evil!”

Coal? Are you kidding? It’s the work of the Devil!

What about all of the “green energy” the party of NO(!) Is always carping about?

Nope, they don’t like it either! They have serious “not in my backyard syndrome.” And, when that doesn’t work, they come up with some environmental concern. The windmills aren’t very friendly to birds when the fly into them, and the enviro-nuts are going insane over some desert rat in the Mojave now that giant solar farms are proposed.

In other words, the party of NO(!) Has absolutely no real solutions. I’m shocked! Energy is the lifeblood of our society, the lifeblood of our economy. The way the democrat/communists act, you’d think the democrat/communists were deliberately trying to destroy America.

For America to get back on the road to prosperity, we must have serious energy independence. We must “drill baby drill” for oil and natural gas, but we also must use our abundant supplies of coal, as well as build more nuclear plants and continue to develop alternatives. We send between $700 billion and $1 trillion a year overseas purchasing crude oil. Think of what that would do for our economy if that all stayed here in America!

This is yet another reason we need to follow Sarah Palin’s lead and help elect serious common sense Conservatives, like Doug Hoffman, nation wide! No more pale pastels, we need bold colors, and bold leaders!

BTW, as a bonus, who could forget this classic bit of “brilliance” from Joe Biden! I mean this sums up the guy’s intellect perfectly!

The video is long-ish, but worth it. You Tube has managed to scrub all of the others that just have the “best part.”

As a set up, after Sarah mopped the floor with Biden at their debate, Perky Katie Couric did her part for the team by “helping” with damage control. It didn’t really help!

While riding on a train, Biden’s favorite form of transportation, Couric interviewed Biden at length. At one point, Biden gives us all a revised history lesson:

“When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the princes of greed. He said, ‘look, here’s what happened.”

One problem with “Uncle Joe’s” scenario here. When the stock market crashed in 1929, Herbert Hoover was President, having taken office in March of that year. (Inaugurals used to take place in March, rather than January) Franklin Roosevelt was still the Governor of New York, and didn’t take the Oath of Office, as President of the United States, until March of 1933.

Television, which was in it’s experimental infancy in 1929, was not around. The first commercial television license wasn’t granted until 1941, and it would be the 1950’s before televisions became a popular “must have” appliance. FDR, however, was the first President to appear on TV. It was during an experiment in 1939, ten years after the stock market crash.

For her part, Couric just sits and smiles, never correcting Mr Gaffetastic. If only she would have had one of the guys that John McCain passed over as his running mate write this interview for her!

What’s that you say? You didn’t know? Remember the Sarah Palin interview the “Perky One” did? Well, she’s not much brighter than Biden, so she had help. Sam Nunn, who was passed over for Biden as Obama’s VP choice, coached Couric extensively before she interviewed Sarah. He came up with a series of “gotcha” questions for Katie to ask, including: “What newspapers do you read?”

Exit question, who do you really trust on energy, Joe Biden and the party of NO(!) Or Sarah Palin who has extensive energy industry experience?

The folks in Upstate New York may have the answer! As I linked to above, Biden spoke his nonsense to a “crowd” of 250 people, 50 of those being from the media. When Sarah was in Upstate New York earlier in the year, she drew 20,000.

Sarah Palin: A Time to Unite

Posted by Gary P Jackson on October 31, 2009

Sarah Palin wants Americans to unite. From her Facebook page:

Time to Unite.

I want to personally thank Republican Dede Scozzafava for acting so selflessly today in the NY District 23 race. Now it’s time to cross the finish line with Doug Hoffman so that he can get to work for District 23 and the rest of America.

With Congress poised to overhaul one-sixth of our economy with so-called health care “reform” (which is really a government takeover of health care) and with plans to enact a cap-and-tax bill just as our economy struggles to recover, Doug Hoffman will be a voice for fiscal responsibility and common sense in Washington.

We need candidates like Doug now more than ever. In these final days of the campaign, it’s vital that Doug continue to receive the enthusiastic support of those who want to bring common sense to Washington. Let’s help make it happen! You can help Doug by visiting his official website today and offering your support:

– Sarah Palin

This is indeed a time for America to unite. We face some tough days ahead. With the vote on ObamaCare, the largest power grab in history, legislation that will destroy the Republic as we know it, looming over us like a dark cloud, it’s time to show Congress and the President that we mean business! Americans of all stripes need to come together and fight for the heart and soul of our great nation.

We can do this. While the battle in NY-23 isn’t won quite yet, the latest polling has Doug Hoffman with a healthy lead. Now the democrats are pouring all they have in to defeat him. You can bet that ACORN and all of the rest will being flocking to NY-23!

Of course, many patriots are there as well, so please join in the fight and if you can’t go and join them on the ground, send Doug some cash!

https://www.doughoffmanforcongress.com/donate3.html

It goes without saying that none of this would have happened if Sarah hadn’t endorsed Doug Hoffman. Once she made it the popular thing to do, everyone jumped on board. Look for a full recap to follow, but right now, lets get Doug over the finish line. We can celebrate later!

Somehow you just know the great Renaldus Magnus, who united America in his time, is looking down tonight and smiling approvingly at all of this.

Sarah Palin Is Absolutely Driving The Debate On The Decline Of The US Dollar

Posted by Gary P Jackson on October 13, 2009

Another day another “Sarah Palin is right” column on economics, and again, from all places, Reuters! James Pethokoukis the money and politics writer for Reuters has this to say:

The state of the dollar probably hasn’t been a first-tier political issue in the United States since, say, the presidential election of 1896. Back then, it manifested as whether or not America would stay on the gold standard or switch to a bimetallic one. (The William Jennings Bryan “cross of gold” speech and all that.)

The aftershocks of the global financial crisis may now be propelling the dollar back to the political forefront. The greenback’s continuing slide makes it a handy metric that neatly encapsulates America’s current economic troubles and possible long-term decline. House Republicans for instance, have been using the weaker dollar as a weapon in their attacks on the Bernanke-led Federal Reserve.

For more evidence of the dollar’s return to political salience, look no further than the Facebook page of Sarah Palin. The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee — and possible 2012 presidential candidate — has shown a knack for identifying hot-button political issues, such as the purported “death panels” she claims to have found in Democratic healthcare reform plans. In a recent Facebook posting, Palin expressed deep concern over the dollar’s “continued viability as an international reserve currency” in light of huge U.S. budget deficits.

She might be onto something here, politically and economically. A recent Rasmussen poll, for instance, found that 88 percent of Americans say the dollar should remain the dominant global currency. Now, the average voter may not fully understand the subtleties of international finance nor appreciate exactly how a dominant dollar has benefitted the U.S economy. But they sure think a weaker dollar is a sign of a weaker America.

And that’s the political problem for the Obama administration. Its benign neglect of the dollar is another example of an economic policy — along with TARP and the $787 billion stimulus — that the White House thinks is helping the economy, but many Americans find wrongheaded.

As usual, this all started with a Facebook posting from Sarah:

Further Proof of the Need for Energy Independence

The British newspaper The Independent reported today that Gulf oil producers were negotiating with Russia, China, Japan and France to replace the dollar in pricing oil with a basket of currencies.[1] According to the Wall Street Journal, Arab oil officials have denied the story, but even the possibility of such a talk weakens the dollar and renews fears about its continued viability as an international reserve currency.[2] In fact, today a United Nations official called for a new global reserve currency to replace the dollar and end our “privilege” to run up huge deficits.[3] We can see the effect of this in the price of gold, which hit a record high today in response to fears about the weakened dollar.[4]

All of this is a result of our out-of-control debt. This is why we need to rein in spending, and this is also why we need energy independence. A weakened dollar means higher commodity prices. This will make it more difficult to pay our bills – including the bill to import oil.

In his book Architects of Ruin, Peter Schweizer points out that the Obama administration is focusing primarily on “green energy,” while ignoring our need to develop our domestic conventional energy resources.[5] We’re ignoring the looming crisis caused by our dependence on foreign oil. Because we’re dependent on foreign nations for our oil, we’re also at their mercy if they decide to dump the dollar as their trade currency. We can’t allow ourselves to be so vulnerable to the whims of foreign nations. That’s why we must develop our own domestic supplies of oil and gas.

Though the chant of “Drill, baby, drill” was much derided, it expressed the need to confront this issue head-on before it reaches a crisis point.

Bottom line: let’s stop digging ourselves into debt and start drilling for energy independence.

*Note: Schweizer’s book is a real eye-opener. The sections on ACORN are quite informative.

This was rapidly followed by the Reuters piece by Tabassum Zakaria.

The Financial Times, the salmon-colored authoritative newspaper that is closely read by traders and other financial types around the world, had an eye-opener for readers this morning.

It wasn’t the front-page, four-column wide headline, “Obama’s critics pounce on falling dollar as fears grow over currency.”

It wasn’t the graphic showing a red downward line over a dollar bill.

The jolt comes at the start of the second paragraph in the top story of the day on the dollar, “Sarah Palin….”

The newspaper, whose articles can move markets, quoted the former Republican vice presidential candidate and ex-Alaska governor from her Facebook post on the need for energy independence. Palin links the dependence on foreign oil and large U.S. deficits to declines in the dollar .

“We can see the effect of this in the price of gold, which hit a record high today in response to fears about the weakened dollar,” Palin wrote.

Palin’s power for using her Facebook page to affect public opinion is not to be taken lightly. Remember “death panels” which turned the healthcare debate into rabid townhall meetings this summer — that phrase emerged from Palin’s Facebook page

This was followed up by a second column by Zakaria:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Leading Republicans echoed Sarah Palin on Thursday in attacking President Barack Obama over the weakness of the U.S. dollar.

Analysts warn it is risky business playing politics with the U.S. currency, which has traditionally been off limits as a play to score points against political opponents.

That taboo appears to have been broken.

Palin, the former Republican vice presidential candidate and ex-governor of Alaska, launched her dollar criticism on her Facebook page. She linked dollar weakness to U.S. dependence on foreign oil, large U.S. deficits and questions about whether the dollar deserves to retain its vaunted status of reserve currency.

“We can see the effect of this in the price of gold, which hit a record high today in response to fears about the weakened dollar,” Palin wrote on Facebook this week.

“All of this is a result of our out-of-control debt. This is why we need to rein in spending, and this is also why we need energy independence.”

Republicans in Congress said the previous Republican administration of former President George W. Bush also deserved blame for dollar weakness but, since taking office on January 20, Democrat Obama was calling the shots.

“I agree with her,” Senator Charles Grassley, top Republican on the Senate Finance Committee, said when asked by Reuters about Palin’s dollar criticism.

“A lot of the recession we are in now goes back to Bush. But the extent to which we passed the $787 billion stimulus bill that is not doing any good — this president is responsible for,” he said.

“It is not the Bush administration anymore. It is nine months into this administration. You can’t blame Bush anymore,” Grassley added.

The story went on to say:

“I don’t view this as a partisan thing. It is bad for America to have a policy of a weak dollar,” assistant Senate Republican leader Jon Kyl told Reuters when asked about Palin’s comments.

“All Treasury secretaries say, ‘Oh, our policy is to have a strong dollar.’ But the question is what do they do. I don’t think either this administration or the Bush administration have followed the appropriate policy,” Kyl said.

With the 2010 Congressional elections a year away, Republicans are seizing on opportunities to throw the Democrats off their stride. More Republicans were expected to take up dollar weakness as a tool to hammer the Obama administration, analysts said.

“It’ll be a straight line, dollar equals deficit,” Ethan Siegal, an analyst at The Washington Exchange, said.

“For the out party in the modern era there’s nothing off limits anymore,” he said. “The dollar certainly is not off limits.”

STAR POWER

Palin still has star power. Her comments resonate with a good segment of the conservative Republican base and with Americans who view her as talking “common sense” in the face of the country’s elites, analysts said.

Her written comments on the dollar made the front-page lead story of the Financial Times on Thursday.

Palin has successfully used Facebook to rally supporters of her viewpoint. The “death panels” term that rocked the healthcare debate during raucous summer town hall meetings sprung from a Palin Facebook post.

“She was the vice presidential candidate in the last election, that’s marquee status right there. There are no other Republicans who can say that who want to be the next president of the United States,” Siegal said. “So she gets a seat at the table just because of that.”

What was interesting was a second day comment from Norman Ornstein, a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute. When asked about attacking the dollar’s weakness, he said:

“I don’t think it’s particularly smart.”

He also said that it was “a potentially shaky way to go” to have Sarah lead the charge. However, Ornstein added later that the view among some Americans that Palin reflects a more down-to-earth view was a “powerful, powerful theme.”

Indeed it is a powerful theme.

Sarah is absolutely on the right track here, and there is a heck of a lot more going on than meets the eye. This is more than just poor economic policy from Barack Obama and his communist party. I’ve never been much on conspiracy theories. Most unwind too easily to be believable, but with Barack Obama, these things write themselves.

Barack Obama is a totally unknown quantity. We, the American people know absolutely nothing about this guy. I mean nothing. All of this guy’s records are sealed so tight that even the New York Times won’t be able to leak them! Birth records, school records, everything.

And the stuff we do know about, all of the connections to domestic terrorists William Ayers and Jeff Jones, and his strong ACORN and SEIU connections are incredibly troubling, especially when you consider that Ayers either wrote Obama’s first book, “Dreams From My Father” or contributed heavily to it, proving that Obama lied big time about Ayers being “just a guy in the neighborhood.”

Of course we now know that Jeff Jones, who along with Ayers co-founded the ultra-violent Weather Underground wrote much of Obama’s $1 trillion dollar economic “stimulus package.”

It actually starts to become an easy case to make that Obama, a totally inexperienced, and completely undistinguished State Senator, whose claim to fame was voting “present” a record number of times, was chosen as a sort of Manchurian Candidate by far left communists like Ayers and Jones. The case is stronger when you realize that Obama’s mother, and her parents were active communists.

But you know, that’s only part of it. As dangerous as Ayers and Jones are, and as committed to destroying America as we know it they are, they have absolutely nothing on the self proclaimed owner of the democrat party, George Soros.

George Soros, a multi-billionaire who was a Nazi collaborator in his younger days, made his fortune in currency speculation. I have often compared Soros to a character in a James Bond novel. Not one of the far out villains, but more of an Ernst Stavro Blofeld type. The kind who uses his resources to manipulate markets and usurp governments.

Soros is famous for destroying the British pound and becoming very wealthy doing it. Although there is way more information on Soros than one could ever publish in one blog entry, here is a nice place to get you started.

The thing that makes Soros so dangerous is all of the far left radical groups he funds. Some of these groups like MoveOn.org, the Open Society Institute, and Citizens for American Progress have innocent sounding enough names, though they are anything but, and Soros is involved in literally hundreds of these far left groups! To give you an idea, check out these “special initiatives” from Soros’ Open Society Institute.

Soros is also heavily involved in ACORN and SEIU, which of course brings us to his star player, Barack Obama. Most consider Soros to be Obama’s puppet master, the real brains behind all of this. That is certainly an easy sale to make, considering what we are seeing.

Photo above: Obama at fund-raiser at Steven and Judy Gluckstern’s home, April 9, 2007. George Soros is seated to the right of the stairs.

Now Sarah’s digs at Obama in her Facebook posts were not just about the U.S. dollar, but at our total lack of a coherent (and realistic) energy policy. Only a fool would think that our national security, as well as our nation’s financial security isn’t in jeopardy with the current state of affairs.

We have long pointed out that the so-called “green movement” has been co-opted by radical communists like Jeff Jones and departed “green jobs” Czar Van Jones, both members of the Apollo Alliance, a group funded by Soros. Again, terrorist Jeff Jones wrote much of Obama’s trillion dollar stimulus, a total failure by any measure, that heavily focuses on a “green economy”

It should be noted that George Soros is investing heavily in “green technology.” BusinessWeek reports that Soros is investing as much as one billion dollars in “green.”

The upcoming climate talks in Copenhagen are less than two months away, and everyone is looking to throw in his/her two cents. On Oct. 10, it was billionaire George Soros’ turn to get in on the act. Giving a speech in Denmark, the man who famously ‘broke the Bank of England’ in the early 1990s now plans to invest $1 billion in clean energy technology. Another $100 million — doled out in $10 million increments annually over ten years — will fund the newly-created Climate Policy Initiative, a foundation targeted at environmental policy.

That’s a sizeable amount of cash, though Soros didn’t specify where the $1 billion would be spent other than saying ‘stringent conditions’ will be used to evaluate potential investments. And in an ironic twist, Soros, who made a sizeable chunk of his fortune through currency speculation, put his support behind carbon taxes, not cap-and-trade systems. His reason? Financial investors can too easily manipulate carbon markets.

Now of course, Soros isn’t the only guy who stands to make his company healthy if only enough people can be hoodwinked into buying the “global warming” hoax. General Electric’s Jeffrey Immelt is on Barack Obama’s speed dial, and a member of several of Obama’s “advisory boards.”

It’s no surprise that NBC and MSNBC, which are owned by GE, are basically stenographers and cheerleaders for all things Barack Obama! It also shouldn’t shock people as to the reasons why every year NBC/Universal shoves “green” down every viewer’s throat throughout the story lines on every one of their shows on not only on NBC, but the Discovery Networks, USA Network, and dozens more, during “green week!”

One can only imagine the writers for shows like Law and Order, banging their heads trying to weave a “clean and green” theme into the gritty New York City violence they tackle, or how the folks over at Psych manage to have Shawn and Gus talk “green.” Although, maybe it’s appropriate that a fake psychic should be a pitchman for a fake calamity!

Make no mistake about it, General Electric stands to make billions of dollars off of this, which is why the news shows over at NBC/MSNBC run such strong interference for Barack Obama against the American people!

But Soros isn’t just about the “global warming” hoax. Nope, Soros is playing both sides of this deal. In August, Sarah called out Obama on a sweetheart deal that got almost zero coverage in the media.

YOUR TAX DOLLARS HARD AT WORK: FIRST CARS, NOW FOREIGN OIL

Today’s Wall Street Journal contains some puzzling news for all Americans who are impacted by high energy prices and who share the goal of moving us toward energy independence.

For years, states rich with an abundance of oil and natural gas have been begging Washington, DC politicians for the right to develop their own natural resources on federal lands and off shore. Such development would mean good paying jobs here in the United States (with health benefits) and the resulting royalties and taxes would provide money for federal coffers that would potentially off-set the need for higher income taxes, reduce the federal debt and deficits, or even help fund a trillion dollar health care plan if one were so inclined to support such a plan.

So why is it that during these tough times, when we have great needs at home, the Obama White House is prepared to send more than two billion of your hard-earned tax dollars to Brazil so that the nation’s state-owned oil company, Petrobras, can drill off shore and create jobs developing its own resources? That’s all Americans want; but such rational energy development has been continually thwarted by rabid environmentalists, faceless bureaucrats and a seemingly endless parade of lawsuits aimed at shutting down new energy projects.

I’ll speak for the talent I have personally witnessed on the oil fields in Alaska when I say no other country in the world has a stronger workforce than America, no other country in the world has better safety standards than America, and no other country in the world has stricter environmental standards than America. Come to Alaska to witness how oil and gas can be developed simultaneously with the preservation of our eco-system. America has the resources. We deserve the opportunity to develop our resources no less than the Brazilians. Millions of Americans know it is true: “Drill, baby, drill.” Alaska is proof you can drill and develop, and preserve nature, with its magnificent caribou herds passing by the Trans Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS), completely unaffected. One has to wonder if Obama is playing politics and perhaps refusing a “win” for some states just to play to the left with our money.

The new Gulf of Mexico lease sales tomorrow sound promising and perhaps will move some states in the right direction, but we all know that the extreme environmentalists who serve to block progress elsewhere, including in Alaska, continue to block opportunities. These environmentalists are putting our nation in peril and forcing us to rely on unstable and hostile foreign countries. Mr. Obama can stop the extreme tactics and exert proper government authority to encourage resource development and create jobs and health benefits in the U.S.; instead, he chooses to use American dollars in Brazil that will help to pay the salaries and benefits for Brazilians to drill for resources when the need and desire is great in America.

Buy American is a wonderful slogan, but you can’t say in one breath that you want to strengthen our economy and stimulate it, and then in another ship our much-needed dollars to a nation desperate to drill while depriving us of the same opportunity.

– Sarah Palin

Of course, there is a lot more to it than first met the eye. Now the first question is obviously this: If one is worried about the environment, then why is it OK to drill off the coast of Brazil? Now of course, common sense, tells us that if it IS OK to drill off the Brazilian coast, it should be more than OK to drill off the American coastline!

Does anyone in their right minds think that a Brazilian oil company can drill in a more environmentally friendly manner than an American company? Of course not.

But as Paul Harvey used to say, it’s time for the rest of the story! You see, it wasn’t $2 billion that Barack Obama loaned the Brazilian oil giant Petrobas, it was $10 billion! But even that, as idiotic as it seems, isn’t the real story. Nope the real story is this: Just days before Barack Obama made this generous loan of taxpayer dollars, George Soros bought into Petrobas, making it his largest financial holding!

Now here is where it all starts to come together, where it all becomes clear.

America has more than enough oil, natural gas, and coal to be energy independent for generations. We could use these God given natural resources for decades while we build more nuclear powerplants, and create real workable alternative energy sources. I mean this is a no-brainer.

So why don’t we just do it?

Well, again, when you step back, and really see what is going on here, and understand George Soros’ modus operandi, his standard operating procedure, it all become crystal clear.

First, it is imperative that America remain weak and at the mercy of foreign oil. Never mind we send between $700 billion and $1 trillion a year out of the country to buy it. Never mind this incredible transfer of treasure funds many of our enemies.

Being at the mercy of foreign nations for our energy undermines not only our national security, bet weakens our financial security as well. This in turn is severely weakening America’s status as a superpower, something the democrat/communists have been all about for at least a century.

The most diabolical scheme at work though is all about the “green,” and I don’t mean the environment. George Soros made his bones destroying currencies for fun and profit! Now that he has his hand picked communist, Barack Obama in place, a man who absolutely hates America in it’s present form, and someone who has vowed to “fundamentally change” America as we know it, all of the pieces are falling together for Soros.

All of the various “green” groups that Soros has funded for decades have greased the skids for Soros by spreading lies and propagating the “global warming” hoax. These lies have caused many Americans to think that using our God given natural resources is somehow wrong, maybe even evil!

Our dependence on foreign oil has weakened us tremendously over the decades.

Enter the democrat/communist party. Their policies have caused us all much heartache, but one has to sit back and wonder. Other than normal stuff, and the war, what was the issues of the 2006 election that swept Republicans out of power in Congress and installed the democrat/communists in control of both Houses?

It sure wasn’t the economy! While slowed, our GDP was growing at a respectable clip, and unemployment was at historically low numbers, lower than the average of the 1950’s, the 1960’s, the 1970’s, the 1980’s, and the 1990’s!

Incredibly, in less than two years after the democrat/communists came to power, the economy basically crashed, allowing Barack Obama to win the 2008 election.

Since that nightmarish event, Barack Obama and the democrat/communist party have spent more money and racked up more debt than all of the previous administrations combined. That’s right, Obama and his band of merry communists have spent more money in nine months than all of the previous Presidents had in 233 years, combined!

Now one could chalk this up to sheer stupidity, and incompetence, but I am beginning to think that’s the whole idea. I mean what’s easier to defend, and deflect, being called incompetent and stupid, or downright evil?

Look, by spending unbelievable amounts of money, and tripling the deficit in just nine months, with trillions more in spending coming down the road with ObamaCare and cap and tax, Obama and the democrat/communists are destroying the dollar and it certainly looks like it’s on purpose.

And who benefits more from a destroyed dollar than the self proclaimed owner of the democrat party, communist George Soros?

Of course the secondary benefit to will go to the democrat/communists and Obama. If the dollar collapses, and panic ensues, and it will, Obama and the communists will have their crisis they can use to justify their “fundamental change” they want to bring to America. It will be their excuse to void the Constitution and do something else, creating their communist state. And Obama is on record saying he thinks the Constitution is “fundamentally flawed.” And yet, he swore an oath to protect it. Uh huh.

Treason is a tough word to use, so how about we just stick to incredibly corrupt. The case against the democrat/communist Congress is strong. There are so many crooks in that august body that they should all be required to wear orange jumpsuits with numbers on them! But that all pales in comparison to the corruption that exists in the White House and this President.

Even more frightening is how easily these people flaunt their corruption. I mean did anyone with half a brain think that Obama’s trip to Copenhagen was anything but an attempt to line his corrupt Chicago buddies pockets?

All I know is this. If we can survive until then, the litmus test for anyone who hopes to be elected to Congress in 2010 or the presidency in 2012 must be the promise for a complete and total investigation of everything Obama is involved in, as well as a complete look at George Soros, General Electric, ACORN and SEIU, for starters.

In the meantime, patriotic Americans should be burning up the phone lines at the Capitol talking to their Senators and Congressmen.

The Barack Obama administration is the most corrupt in U.S. history, and I fear they are just getting started, that we haven’t seen nothing yet!
