Posted on Governor Palin’s Facebook page today:

Madison Rising, Missing Stateside, Kid Rock – all you artists patriotic, proud, and free – thank you for boldly rocking it for those keeping us free.

Happy Birthday, Marine Corps. And tomorrow let’s respect all branches and all Vets by teaching kids what Veteran’s Day represents. If you love your freedom, thank a Vet!

Enjoy Madison Rising’s tribute:

Gov Palin… Very nice of you to thank a vet but as everyone of us knows, it was a pleasure and honor to serve our country. The military made a man of me…who went in as a teenager. And later, because I served, our country paid for my college education. It was a wonderful return for my service. It provided me with the credentials for a first rate career. Gave me a wonderful life. More of our young men should be volunteering today. Best always, John R.
