Gov. Palin: Obama’s liberal agenda would support religious discrimination in Israel’s capital

Views: Palin, fifth from right, and her entourage take in the scene from the Mount of Olives in East Jerusalem as they lookout over the walled Old City

Amazing how our leadership continues to get this wrong. The liberal agenda that would support religious discrimination in Israel’s capital is another glaring example of leftist hypocrisy; the claim that Israel is to blame for unrest in the region is another glaring example of White House naiveté; and that false claim continuing to go unchecked by the media, thus perpetuating the lie, is another glaring example of how the lapdogs work. I hope our Jewish friends who continue to support President Obama’s failed liberal agenda will take the time to answer my question by posting a comment below: The Obama Administration’s position discriminates against Jews while it supports Arabs living freely in Jerusalem, so how will Israel strengthen its capital when an ally bullies Jews to cower and apologize, and how can our Jewish friends support those who are leading this deluded, dangerous charge?

Netanyahu: Obama Needs to Learn the Facts on Jerusalem
Israel sees gross hypocrisy, double standards in Obama demand that Jews not be allowed to live in parts of Jerusalem

Here is the article at Israel Today that she linked to:

Netanyahu: Obama Needs to Learn the Facts on Jerusalem

What began as a reportedly amicable meeting between US President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday ended in fresh strain on US-Israel ties over construction in Jerusalem.

The Obama Administration unleashed harsh criticism of the Jewish state after learning that approval had been granted for the construction of 2,610 apartments in the southern Jerusalem neighborhood of Givat Hamatos, which lies adjacent to the neighborhoods of Talpiot, Gilo and Beit Safafa.

State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki was threatening in her tone when addressing reporters on the matter:

“This development will only draw condemnation from the international community, distance Israel from even its closest allies; poison the atmosphere not only with the Palestinians, but also with the very Arab governments with which Prime Minister Netanyahu said he wanted to build relations; and call into question Israel’s ultimate commitment to a peaceful negotiated settlement with the Palestinians.”

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said these new Jewish homes atop a currently barren hilltop would “call into question Israel’s ultimate commitment to a peaceful negotiated settlement with the Palestinians.”

Earnest also described as “provocative” the purchase of homes in a predominantly Arab neighborhood by Jewish families. The neighborhood in question is today known as Silwan, but in ancient times was known as the City of David.

Netanyahu responded by noting that Obama and his staff could do themselves a favor by learning the facts before commenting.

“I think they (the Obama administration) should be acquainted with the facts first. You know? First of all, these are not settlements. These are neighborhoods of Jerusalem. We have Arab neighborhoods and we have Jewish neighborhoods,” the Israeli leader told NBC News.

Netanyahu later suggested to reporters accompanying him that the Obama Administration’s position was discriminatory against Jews, and that he could not adopt such policies.

“Arabs in Jerusalem freely buy apartments, and nobody says that is forbidden. I will also not say that Jews cannot buy property in Jerusalem. There cannot be discrimination between Jews and Arabs,” insisted the prime minister.

Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat voiced similar sentiments. In a statement released by his office, Barkat said adamantly:

“Discrimination based on religion, race or gender is illegal in the United States and in any other civilized country. The 2,600 apartments in Givat Hamatos, which we [first] approved two years ago, will enable more young people from all communities and religions to live in Jerusalem and build their future here, thereby strengthening the capital of Israel. We will not apologize for that.”

Housing Minister Uri Ariel followed up by noting that Arabs, too, will be free to purchase homes in Givat Hamatos. Given its proximity to the neighborhood of Beit Safafa, it is estimated that at least one-third of the new apartments will be purchased by Arab families.

Gov. Palin: Louisiana Senate race shows clear contrasts between an American hero and two Washington politicans

Posted by Dr. Fay on October 2, 2014

Sarah Palin added 14 new photos.

It was so nice to be back in the bayou campaigning for a great patriot, true conservative, and proven fighter for America – Col. Rob Maness! Most enjoyable was visiting with Rob’s supporters who see in him what the rest of America will be blessed to see – his selfless drive towards solutions and his positive conservative message that resonates not just in Louisiana but all across this great nation.

Rob’s momentum has really got the permanent political class scared back in D.C. – the democrats obviously dread Rob’s inevitable momentum building as the November 4th U.S. Senate election draws near, but now the GOP establishment is starting to go nuts! The professional politicians are snapping at the Colonel like a hungry gator; they’re spreading all sorts of anonymous bunk to try to get him out of the race, mocking his humble public servant’s heart, and… well, you know the game they play by now. (Hey, with all due respect, good ol’ boys in the GOP machine – after you’ve served America for 32 years wearing our nation’s uniform, after being in combat, after sacrificing as much as Rob and his family have in the name of true public service for our country, and after you’ve literally FOUGHT for our freedom like Rob has, THEN you can kick your feet up on your comfy desk in some swank office and talk to us about who gets to run for office and who doesn’t.)

Remember Rob’s first campaign ad? ( He had me at gator wrestling! He’s obviously tough enough to take on the career politicians and the alligators in the swamp. Speaking of which, thanks to Bryan & Brooke Zar and the Restaurant des Families staff, we got to serve up the best tasting gator dishes I’ve ever had! (Ok, the only ones I’ve ever had.) The fried gator was amazing and I got to fly home with some of it! Thank you, too, InstaGator team, for bringing the surprise guest that also afforded me a first. Holding that local reptile made me admire you Louisianans even more!

Louisiana, the contrasts in your U.S. Senate race couldn’t be clearer. This really is a race between “two of them versus one of us”: two Washington politicians versus an American hero, Col. Rob Maness. He’s got the momentum; please keep it up and thank you for sharing this fighter with the rest of America. We need him!

Earlier that day, she posted this comment and video link:

I sincerely respect Louisiana State Senator Elbert Guillory for his boldness in laying out the argument that the status quo has got to go in the beautiful “Pelican State.” The current office holder, U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu, is seeking a re-election bid this fall, but this gentleman whom I’ve written about before lays out why it’s imperative Louisianans seize the opportunity to be empowered with new energy in Washington! I was just in Louisiana, and I’ve seen that the clearest contrast to Mary Landrieu is Col. Rob Maness, a bold new leader with a record of success and courage, loyalty, and strength. The Colonel is a conservative, a U.S. military vet, and, as testified by his many supporters I met in one heck of a unique campaign rally, he’s refreshingly “one of us!” Thank you, Senator Guillory, for taking a stand despite critics. Your willingness to go big and go bold for what’s good for your state gives us real hope for the future of our United States! And Col. Maness, Louisiana is lucky to have you; thank you for your decades of service to our country, and here’s to Louisiana sharing you with the rest of America to keep on fighting for our liberty!

– Sarah Palin You are not Mary’s cause and you are certainly not her charity. You are just a vote – nothing less, nothing more. You are just a…
