Posted by Jackie Siciliano on March 21, 2014

Sarah_chairWhat:  “Amazing America with Sarah Palin”

Where:  The Sportsman Channel

Date:  Premieres April 3rd

Time:  8:00 p.m. Eastern

In reading these press releases it looks like there will be 13 episodes of “Amazing America” with seven episodes being  co-hosted with Mark Christopher Lawrence and six episodes with Jerry Carroll.  More details are available via these press releases from The Sportsman Channel Pressroom:

New Berlin, WI (March 21, 2014) Sportsman Channel, the leader in outdoor television for American sportsmen and women, announced that accomplished comedian and dramatic actor, Mark Christopher Lawrence is co-hosting Amazing America with Sarah Palin, the weekly series that will premiere April 3 at 8 p.m. ET.

Lawrence, a native of Compton, Calif., attended The University of Southern California and studied theatre. Currently, a San Diego resident, Lawrence starred on Chuck for five seasons and has been seen as a guest star on many popular television shows throughout the years such as: Seinfeld, Murphy Brown, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Dharma & Greg and My Name is Earl.

Lawrence is the co-host of seven episodes of Amazing America with Sarah Palin and experiences heart-warming and unique stories that exemplify the American dream.  Audiences will experience the life of a professional taxidermist, successful businessmen who are passionate for America and philanthropy – not to mention pastors racing cars and a father and son team of custom knives makers.     More

Press release on co-host Jerry Carroll:

NEW BERLIN, WI (March 21, 2014) – It is not every day a farmer from Willow Spring, North Carolina, launches a career as a TV host after being discovered on YouTube.  However, Jerry Carroll – farmer, agricultural speaker, comedian and most recently, co-host for Sportsman Channel’s Amazing America with Sarah Palin – has done just that. Carroll’s affinity for entertaining the masses shines through on stage, making his new stint as a television co-host, must watch TV. Amazing America with Sarah Palin premieres exclusively on Sportsman Channel, April 3 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.

“I’d had a rough day on the farm mending fencings when I got the call about being on the Sportsman Channel with Sarah Palin,” said Carroll. “I couldn’t believe it was real. I got to travel across the country meeting real, hard-working Americans. It’s been a dream come true.”

Carroll co-hosts six Amazing America episodes, each highlighting different people, places and things that make America what it is. From spending time with country music star Craig Morgan, to learning how to meld his own horseshoe in a Blacksmith Championship, Carroll is intrigued by everyone he meets along the way. Carroll’s attitude and approach exemplify Sportsman Channel’s anthem of “Red, Wild and Blue” throughout each episode.

Jerry’s journey from rural farmer, to comedian, to TV show host embodies the spirit of the show. From the time he could walk, Carroll joined his father and uncle to farm tobacco, corn, small grain, soybeans, cattle and hogs. Spending 14 hours a day in a tractor cab gave him plenty of time to think about his life’s dream of making people laugh.

Carroll has performed in venues from local cattlemen’s association banquets to the Ministers of Provincial Parliament in Toronto, Canada. He also opened for musical acts including: Michael Bolton, Patty Loveless, Lyle Lovett and Larry Gatlin. When he is not traveling the country making people laugh, Carroll resides in Willow Spring, North Carolina taking care of his family farm.

Gov. Palin Congratulates Adams, French and ACLJ on First Amendment Win

Posted on Governor Palin’s page today:

It seems Hades froze over. Liberty loving Americans won a great victory for our First Amendment rights! University of North Carolina-Wilmington Professor Mike Adams won his case against the university for arbitrarily denying him his promotion to full professor because of his conservative writings. Many of you may have read Dr. Adams’ great articles at Townhall.com. As Dr. Adams’ attorney David French told me via email, “The university loved and honored Dr. Adams when he was liberal and atheist, and then punished him for his free speech after he became Christian and conservative. But Dr. Adams fearlessly fought back, and yesterday’s jury verdict sent a message: The Constitution protects conservatives too. We should heed that message and fight fearlessly for our rights, even against seemingly overwhelming odds.”

Congratulations to Dr. Adams, his tenacious and wise attorney David French, and the ACLJ for their many years of hard work on this case. This is a victory in defense of our Constitution. I thank God for blessing good attorneys with the common sense to articulate this case for freedom. Keep pushing back against the intolerant, stifling left!

Victory: Jury Rules North Carolina University Violated Conservative Professor’s Free Speech Rights

Dr Mike Adams UNCWilmington

By David French Filed in:

In Greenville, North Carolina, a jury in federal court found that the University of North Carolina-Wilmington violated criminology professor Mike Adams’ free speech rights when it denied his application for promotion to full professor. The ACLJ represents Dr. Adams, along with Alliance Defending Freedom attorney Travis Barham.

Dr. Adams is a conservative Christian who also regularly contributes to Townhall.com, where he often critiques the widespread leftist abuses within colleges and universities.

His speech caused a furious response within his university, with the Chancellor even attempting to alter the standards for promotion to allow the faculty to consider professors’ protected speech in promotion decisions.

When Dr. Adams submitted his application for full professor, university officials rejected it through the use of a completely-fabricated promotion standard, passed along false and misleading information about his academic record, explicitly considered the content of his protected speech in promotion documents, and – incredibly – allowed a professor who’d filed a false criminal complaint against Dr. Adams to cast a vote against his application.

The verdict represents a significant victory for the First Amendment and for academic freedom, sending a message nationwide that colleges and universities will be held accountable if they attempt to impose ideological, religious, or political litmus tests on professors or students.
