I was honored to attend a great event today in South Dakota with farmers from all over the country. I’m heading home now, but just wanted to encourage you to tune into Greta Van Susteren’s “On the Record” tonight. She’ll be showing a video of one of the four victims killed in Benghazi. So often people in these tragic events become just statistics, but they deserve more. The video really humanizes one of them. He was a real person, not a nameless statistic.
This is the announcement at Gretawire that she is referring to:
TONIGHT at 10pm/OTR: FIRST TIME YOU SEE VIDEO OF BENGHAZI VICTIM (and yes, an AMERICAN HERO) – click to read more
So often we hear of Americans doing heroic things and getting killed and we never get to meet those heroes, never get to know them….and worse, we never get to thank them or tell them we admire them. These Americans are not statistics we don’t care about — they are our fellow Americans. They deserve to be humanized – not hidden – and this video does just that.
Tonight at 10pm ON THE RECORD, you will watch a video of one of the heroes at Benghazi. What is he like? One person watched it and said to me, “he was awesome.” He sure was. Every time I watch it I think, “I wish I had known him.” His smile is so warm.
Make sure you watch tonight at 10pm….and tell your friends and family to watch. Glen Doherty deserves our attention. He did much for us.
Governor Palin followed up with this post this evening:
This is a photo of Glen Doherty, one of the victims of the Benghazi attack. On “On the Record” tonight, Greta Van Susteren will be showing a video of Glen. Please tune in tonight and let’s remember this brave American who gave his life serving our country.
