Win an Autographed Copy of ‘Our Sarah: Made in Alaska’

Posted by Adrienne Ross on September 3, 2012

By Adrienne Ross –

I wrote the following article and posted it on Conservatives4Palin, where a contest to win an autographed copy of Our Sarah: Made in Alaska, written by Governor Palin’s father and brother, will soon kick off. Click here to read that post over at C4P and to make comments (although you’re more than welcome to leave comments here as well). Be sure to read the full post so you will know how you can personally compete in this contest:

Our Sarah: Made in Alaska, co-authored by Governor Palin’s father and brother, will be released at the end of this month. Chuck, Sr. and Chuck, Jr. worked hard to write a book that would give readers an honest, inside look at Governor Palin–her upbringing, her unique experiences, her influences. Having had the honor of reading the book already, I can assure you that they have accomplished just that. I will share more in my review of the book, which is coming very soon.

The Heaths have been so gracious as to involve supporters in this exciting project. They started by asking for suggestions of cities they should visit on their book tour, which should kick off shortly after the book hits shelves. They have received those suggestions and will soon make those locations and dates known.

Via Chuck Heath, Jr’s Our Sarah Facebook page:

We listened to you guys, took your advice, and scheduled the first eight cities for our book tour using many of your suggestions. We’ll let you know exactly where we’re going in the coming days. Thanks for hanging in there!

But this isn’t the end of your involvement.

Just in time for the back-to-school craze, you will soon have the opportunity to complete an online quiz, consisting of five multiple choice questions about Governor Palin. Your questionnaire will be graded, and those who answer all five questions correctly will be entered into a drawing to win a copy of Our Sarah, autographed by both Chuck, Jr. and Chuck, Sr! The contest will run until September 18, after which time five names will be drawn. Winners will be notified via email and their names then published so that we can all see who won and congratulate them. Again, individuals must score 100% to be entered into the random drawing, and from that pool of names, five will be selected.

To participate in the soon-coming questionnaire, contestants will have to click on a graphic of the cover of the book, which will be located on the C4P right sidebar. That will take you to the questionnaire post. Once you get there, follow the instructions. Then sit back and wait for the outcome!

Please keep in mind that the graphic is not yet on the sidebar and the questionnaire has not yet gone live, but they will be ready soon. So keep your eyes peeled for the contest post, the sidebar graphic, and my review of Our Sarah: Made in Alaska.

If you haven’t done so yet, please go here to “Like” the Our Sarah Facebook page, and here, here, or here to pre-order your copy of the book.

10,000 Visitors At Palin4President2016 Blog: A Sign of What’s To Come

Posted by M.Joseph Sheppard At Palin4President2016 on September 3, 2012

As can be seen on the (bottom of the site’s) Stats Counter the Palin4President2016  site has passed the 10,000 visitor mark!

Of course, compared to major sites, who have that sort of page visits per day, the figure is relatively small. However, bearing in mind that the  site has only been really active for a month, that is pretty good going, I think.

The input is also quite low compared to major sites too, of course, because new articles are entered on an occasional basis.

Thus, to have over 10k visitors shows that there is a huge latent interest in seeing Sarah Palin not only advance her thoughts and candidate support but, as the blog title unabashedly states, to see her as president in 2016.

To have 10,000 visitors be of that mind when the GOP has chosen a candidate for president and we are right in the middle of a huge campaign shows a number of things.

Firstly, that a substantial number of people do not fully, or at all, support the current Republican candidate.

Secondly, if Romney loses, the campaign for Palin 2016 will commence fully on November 7th 2012.

Thirdly,  that they may or may not vote for Romney, but they either expect him to lose, or they consider that even if he wins, he will be a RINO president.

Fourthly, if Romney does win, once he has gotten rid of Obama, he can be safely challenged at the 2016 primary campaign. Then, at the subsequent convention, a real conservative, Palin, can be nominated as the candidate in his stead.

Visitors to the site have a number of motivations but overwhelmingly agree that Sarah Palin should run for, and be elected to the presidency in 2016 no matter who might be the office holder in that year.

A sincere thank you to all visitors and commentators who have shown their support for that concept. Comments of support for the site and its aims would of course be most welcome.

Article submissions are most welcome! I have set up a mailing adress if folks wish to submit Palin-oriented posts (most especially if centered on 2016, of course) at

PS:  The Palin4President2016  site needs more “Followers.”  There is at present only one lonely “Follower,” which belies the reality of the substantial number of visitors.  So please consider joining up (no cost of course) to stop the haters from misrepresenting the situation.

Gov. Palin: Looking Forward to Season Finale of ‘Stars Earn Stripes’

Posted by Dr. Fay on September 3, 2012

Governor Palin posted this comment on her Facebook post this afternoon:

This is the excellent article by Katie Pavlich at ZAP2it that Governor Palin linked to:

‘Stars Earn Stripes’ Todd Palin: ‘Our minds think we’re 20, but our bodies remind us that we’re not’

September 3, 2012 2:00 PM ET

Zap2itDid your son, Army Sgt. Track Palin (who deployed to Afghanistan earlier this year) or your wife, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, influence you to participate in a show (“Stars Earn Stripes”) that pairs celebrities with military operatives and first responders on simulated missions?
Todd Palin: No. 1 would be the cause, the military charity. Track was major, Sarah was major, and then my working experience on “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” knowing (producer] Mark Burnett puts out a great product.
Zap2it: Did you bond with your military operative partner?
Todd Palin: My guy was [former Marine] J.W. Cortes. Our common ground is he has a son with autism, and I’ve got a son with Down syndrome. Just being a father, you have a bond. With the additional challenge, there’s that extra bond. I’m a little older than he is, and I’m like, “We are blessed. There’s a reason why God put this child in our hands, in our family.”
Zap2it: How is your son, 4-year-old Trig, doing?
Todd Palin: He’s doing good. When we were filming, he said his first words. He told his older brother to quit picking on him, or something like that. And when J.W. went back to New York on one of the dark days, he said his name, so that was pretty exciting.
Zap2it: Did you get hurt?
Todd Palin: Our minds think we’re 20, but our bodies remind us that we’re not.
Zap2it: What was your charity?
Todd Plain: Armed Services YMCA Alaska. They make military family lives better. They’ve been up there in Alaska for 70 years.

Finale of ‘Stars Earn Stripes’ Tonight on NBC

Posted by Dr. Fay on September 3, 2012

Currently,  a photo link to Todd Palin’s bio is featured on the Main page of the ‘Stars Earn Stripes’ website (emphasis mine):

Todd PalinTodd Palin | Armed Services YMCA Alaska

Todd Palin is a lifelong commercial fisherman in Alaska’s Bristol Bay, where his Yupik Eskimo family has been salmon fishing for many generations. He is also a former North Slope production operator in the oil fields of Prudhoe Bay.

Palin is a four-time champion of the Iron Dog, the world’s longest and toughest snowmobile race spanning over 2,000 miles of frozen wilderness from Alaska’s Mat-Su Valley to Nome to Fairbanks.

Palin is the husband of former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican Vice Presidential nominee, Sarah Palin. As the First Gentleman of Alaska (informally called “The First Dude”), Palin focused on vocational training opportunities and programs for Alaska workers.

In addition to appearing in the top-rated TLC show “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” Palin assisted on the show’s logistics and production.

Palin is an active private pilot who enjoys flying in his Piper Super Cub and his Cessna 185 float plane. His other hobbies include hunting, fishing, hiking, building, and snowmachining. Todd and Sarah have five children and two grandchildren. They live in Wasilla, Alaska.
