Sarah Palin on ANHQ: “This go round, give Romney a chance!”

Governor Palin talked to Uma Pemmaraju on FOX’s America’s News Headquarters today about the GOP convention and the Senate and Congressional races.   When asked how it felt to be in the spotlight and chosen as Senator John McCain’s running mate four years ago, she said that she was “honored and humbled” to be asked by McCain, whom she loves and respects, to help carry a pro-Constitutional, conservative message to the country.

Governor Palin said that we need a Congress that will commit to repeal Obamacare, and we need to elect people who are wise,  diligent, and fighters, and who will  undo a lot of what Barack Obama has done to the country.  She said she will sometimes be supporting underdogs to help put them on the map because their message is the right one and so that thir message can be heard.  She said that she will be in  Arizona on Monday working for Kirk Adams, and that she will be working for Jeff Flake and Paul Gosar there as well.

When asked if she thought the Tea Party would continue to play a major role in specific races, Governor Palin said  the Tea Party is a grass roots movement of independent Americans that wants to shrink government, make it smarter, and let the private sector grow and thrive and prosper again in the most exceptional nation in the world through a free market.  She said that the Tea Party will be heard and will be effective, and that she believes that the Tea Party is just getting going.

Asked for her advice to the Romney and Ryan families, Governor Palin said that she thinks that the Ryan children will be inherently protected because of their age, but that Romney’s family needs to “circle the wagons” as a family.

Regarding a third party, Governor Palin said the Republican Party replaced the Whig Party when both parties weren’t doing the will of the people.  She said that if the Republican Party doesn’t remember what its platform planks represent, that she wouldn’t be surprised if history at some point repeats itself

Asked whether she would consider running again for Governor of Alaska, she responded that she would rather work hard at  unlocking Alaska’s vast resources to help secure our nation,  for our solvency and for the sovereignty of our Union, rather than being “holed up in Juneau” again.

One of the viewer questions submitted was whether someone who does not know whether s/he trusts Romney or Obama more should just not vote?  Governor Palin’s response was, “No, no, no!”  She said, “do me a favor” and give Romney a shot this go round.  She said we don’t want to repeat Obama’s failed policies, that it would be insanity to repeat the same failures over and over again.  She said Obama has had his chance, and he just “doesn’t get it” about the free market and American exceptionalism, and he won’t work toward that exceptionalism.   She advised voters who do not know who they dislike more or like more to “this go round,  give Romney a chance!”
