Palin: Congratulations to Todd Akin
Posted by Jackie Siciliano on August 8, 2012
Governor Sarah Palin recently endorsed Sarah Steelman for U.S. Senate in Missouri’s primary which was held yesterday. Even though Steelman was not successful in her bid, Palin posted the following congratulatory message to Todd Akin on her Facebook page moments ago:
________________________________________________________________
Congratulations Governor Sarah Palin to Todd Akin on his win. And thank you, Sarah Steelman, for running an inspiring grassroots campaign. Sarah can take pride in being the underdog and mounting an uphill race; she faced the challenge of Beltway insiders and being outspent and underfunded, but she did not waver and her internal compass always pointed clearly in the direction of Constitutional principles. It’s an honor to stand by Sarah and her vision for Missouri and the rest of this exceptional nation. I’ll continue to support those with such a compass, regardless of the Beltway political pundits’ predictions in any race.
Now, it’s time for everyone to come together and focus on electing a new Senator from the Show Me State. Winning this Missouri Senate race is a crucial step in reclaiming the leadership of the U.S. Senate and giving our next President a wise Congress to work with. Together we can do this. On to November!

Steelman was an awesome candidate and really burnished her credentials for any political endeavor she may wish to pursue (incl. for the House of Reps or the next Senate race) in future. Too bad, however, that she didn’t reach out to Palin MONTHS & MONTHS ago, so that, like she was able to do with Ted Cruz in TX, Palin could have lent early – and CRUCIAL – support when, in hindsight, it was really needed!

Joy,
I tend to agree with what you’ve posted. An earlier endorsement may have may a big difference.

So classy. Even when her pick doesn’t win, Sarah Palin holds us all together. What a true Patriot!
I hope she gets invited to speak at our RNC in Florida. She will be an asset.
