‘Stars Earn Stripes’ Poster Released

Posted by Dr. Fay on July 5, 2012

From an article at AceShowBiz.com:

Hyping up the upcoming summer premiere of “Stars Earn Stripes“, NBC has released a poster for the new show. The one-sheet, which made its way out via Entertainment Weekly, shows the eight stars in action as they run away from an explosion and with some of them holding big guns.

Signing up for the inaugural season of the military-themed show are Sarah Palin’s husband Todd Palin, singer/TV personality Nick Lachey, boxing champion Laila Ali, actorDean Cain, former NFL player Terry Crews, Olympic gold medalist Picabo Street, “The Biggest Loser” trainer Dolvett Quince and WWE’s Diva Eve Torres.

Each of the celebrities will be paired with a former member of the armed forces or law enforcement agency who trains them for military-style missions that include challenges like helicopter drops to long-range target shooting. Every week, one team will be eliminated, and the last one standing wins a cash prize for a charity of their choice.

“Stars Earn Stripes” will debut with a two-hour episode on Monday, August 13 at 8 P.M. on NBC. Executive produced by Dick Wolf, Mark Burnett and and David A. Hurwitz, the show has tapped Entertainment Tonight correspondent Samantha Harris and former presidential candidate Gen. Wesley Clark as the hosts.

Bristol Palin: Happy Birthday, Willow!

Posted by Dr. Fay on July 5, 2012

Bristol Palin wished her sister a happy birthday today in this blog post  and included some fun pics:

Happy Birthday, Willow!

July 5, 2012 By Bristol Palin 52 Comments

Guess who turns eighteen today?

You can probably tell how proud I am of Willow.  Her name came from a small community that began in 1897 when miners discovered gold on Willow Creek.  Also, she was named after Willow Bay, one of my mother’s favorite sports reporters.

As I’ve mentioned before, we’re four years apart.  This meant that as we were growing up in the same house, we were each other’s best friends and worst enemies… depending on the day!

Now that we are both mature adults (don’t laugh!) we will probably get along much better. But one thing that will remain the same: I’m always so proud of her!

Not only does is she a great help with Tripp, she graduated high school more than a year early, and now is continuing her education at beauty school.

One of the reasons why I enjoyed shooting Life’s a Tripp is because she was there with me every step of the way.  (Tune in to see her move to Arizona, attend school, and experience some hilarious beauty treatments with me!)

I love you, Willow!  Happy birthday!!

Happy 18th Birthday, Willow Palin!

Today is Willow Palin’s 18th birthday. According to her Mom’s last Facebook post, she and Bristol have flown with their Dad to the family fishing site to fish for salmon, for which the peak season is approaching.   After finishing high school a year early, Willow has been accepted into a school for hairstylists, for which she will be earning tuition money while slaying salmon.

Willow is one of the stars in Bristol’s reality series, ‘Life’s a Tripp,”  which is airing on the Lifetime channel on Tuesday nights.  She went with Bristol to Los Angeles to help with Tripp at the start of the series and has been a regular part of the show during each episode so far.  Willow was also a star in the Sarah Palin’s Alaska series, which was filmed in 2010.

On behalf of all the authors at SPIB, I want to wish Willow a very happy 18th birthday and many more to come.   May the Lord light your path and help you achieve all your goals and make all your dreams come true.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WILLOW!
