Tea Party Is Pining for Sarah Palin

From article by M. J. Lee at Politico:
The tea party is still pining for Sarah Palin.
The grassroots conservative movement has yet to throw its support behind a Republican presidential candidate because “we don’t have the female Ronald Reagan running — and that’s Sarah Palin,” said Amy Kremer, chairwoman of the Tea Party Express.
“We haven’t engaged in presidential politics yet because the movement hasn’t coalesced around anybody, so we’re just sitting back and waiting,” Kremer added.
Predicting that a good slice of the country’s conservatives will not make up their minds until they are standing in front of the ballot box, Kremer singled out the former Alaska governor as “the only person out there right now that can truly excite the base.”
“Certainly some candidates bring their own energy and excitement. Michele Bachmann had it early on when she won the [Iowa] straw poll, and then when Perry got in,” she said. “But there’s no one that is electrifying as Sarah Palin.”
Kremer is the leader of one of many tea party groups. But while she is far from being the authoritative voice of the movement, she suggested a sense of ambivalence and frustration is widespread among conservatives.

I have nothing but respect for Governor Palin and her decision to not run for President. After all of the vitriol, the avalanche of frivolous ethics charges that were intended to destroy her financially, the character assignation directed against her, her husband and their children, the death threats and even repeated threats of sexual assault ageist her as well as her daughters; no one can begrudge her the decision to remain on the sidelines. I even feel guilty because it never occurred to me that perhaps I should express my support by traveling to Alaska to picket against Creepy Joe McGuiness. However; the front runners in the Republican field provoke my dismay. Why are we seriously considering RINO Romney whose policies onGlobal Warming Theology and Health Care while in office were almost identical to Obama’s? How can we possibly contemplate supporting Gingrich whose multiple adulteries and divorces are so reminiscent ofClinton’s sleazy behavior, but pale in comparison to assisting Health Insurancecompaniesin lobbying for the individual mandate as well as Freddie Mac? Ron Paul’s arguments are intellectually stimulating but hisneoisolationism is insane although perhaps inevitable after Obama.
I find myself literally getting down on my knees to pray for that 10.2 earthquake that Governor Palin has stated would be needed to cause her to reconsider.

Sarah Palin will receive a “write in” vote from me during the primaries. I’m sure that there won’t be enough people to follow suit on that but that’s MY plan and then I will vote for the last GOP candidate standing against Obama!

Hi everyone
Ditto is all I can say! I’ve been waiting for Governor Sarah Palin to jump into the race. I cannot stop thinking that she will, but she never does. Now I believe it’s too late. She would have to run as an Independant to get in the race now, wouldn’t she? She’s too smart to do that. It would split the Republican vote, and she’s an honest person who would only run as a conservative. There must be a very good reason why she cannot run, such as
someone threatening her or her family if
she runs. I hope that is not the reason.
We have several good Republican Candidates..but not the right one who can put Obama in his place and beat him in every debate. She is right for the First Woman President of the USA
She’s the only one who fits the top slot and the reason so many don’t feel excited or know who to vote for is because Governor Palin is not in the race. She brings the excitment that is lacking now.
common sense Conservative that is “the whole package”.
