Governor Palin and the Constitution

Posted by Adrienne Ross on September 17, 2011

By Adrienne Ross –

One of the most celebrated amendments to the United States Constitution, the signing of which is celebrated today on Constitution Day, is the First Amendment. It grants us, among other things, the freedom of speech.

Tara Jollie, a friend of Governor Palin and former staffer in her administration, who granted me an interview after Frank Bailey released his book of lies about her in May, reflected on the day Governor Palin announced her resignation from the Governor’s office. Today is perhaps the best possible day for Jollie to have written this article, for in it she acknowledged that the Governor’s difficult decision allowed her to reclaim her freedom of speech:

Monday came and, sure enough, there she was by the elevator packing some of her personal belongings from her office to her car. All my composure went flying out the window. I went to help her carry things and could not stop my tears. She did what she could to comfort me then we went for a little ride just to have a little alone time. When she dropped me off I was still sad, but happy for her to get her personal freedom back; especially the freedom of speech. I thought “What a strong role model for anyone who feels they don’t have a choice in their lives. There is always a choice!” This simple message is incredibly powerful when seen demonstrated in living color.

I know there were those with ulterior motives who pretended to support Sarah as candidate then Governor, and many more that underestimated her. I credit most of that behavior to a collective resistance to change, and, in some cases gender bias, unbridled greed, and/or a great desire for position and power. The establishment absolutely had to get rid of this rabble-rouser. No one knew this better than the appointees within the bureaucracy. The same ones who laughed at her around the water cooler before the election were sucking up like crazy after the election – trying to save their jobs until they could get rid of her. No entity resists change as well as a bureaucracy, and so the dance of sabotage began and continued to the end of her term.

Our political system needs dramatic reform. A lofty goal, so simple and so obvious. Kudos to those determined to make a difference. Sarah Palin is beating the drum for reform. Although unintentional, resigning set her free to go that direction. Her decision to step away from her office demonstrated strength, not weakness. She really is her own person.

Anyone who thought Governor Palin would sit around and collect a paycheck if she could not be productive does not know her. Anyone who expected her to sit down and shut up couldn’t possibly have heard or read anything she said on the campaign trail. Her slogan was Take a Stand!

When Governor Palin returned from the campaign trail, the partisan vultures tried to pick her apart. Their goal was to punish her for daring to accept Senator McCain’s request to help lead this country and for exercising her freedom of speech to speak out against waste, overtaxing, and an utter disregard for our Constitutional freedoms. They wanted to silence her commitment to speaking up for life, the free market, and American exceptionalism, and they especially took umbrage at her fearlessness in calling out President Obama in the process. They wanted to enslave her, and they were willing to allow frivolous ethics charges to cost Alaska two million dollars–and then some. She vowed when she resigned to continue to fight and continue to speak, even without a title. She has certainly done so.

It is without hyperbole that I say no one else has undergone the vile, despicable, and hurtful accusations and verbal attacks Governor Palin has. She is continually subjected to actions that simply would not be tolerated if the target were anyone else. The selective outrage of people on the left and the right is rather telling; it reveals the one they fear most. Such hatred toward this wife, mother, and conservative public figure begs the question: What is it about her they hate so much and seek to destroy? The answer becomes more obvious each day. It’s the freedom of speech she chooses to exercise. A person’s right is only as powerful as her willingness to practice it. Governor Palin respects our Constitution and the rights it affords, and she is not afraid to take full advantage of her First Amendment right to shout the greatness of America from the rooftops and to call out those vices and villains threatening our nation. Lately, she is turning up the heat as she names names in her quest to shine a spotlight on crony capitalism, corporate welfare, and the permanent political class. For this, she is maligned, slandered, and harassed in the most wretched ways–and still she perseveres, even without a title.

By the end of this month, Governor Palin will let us know if she’s willing to seek a title, the highest title in the land, to effect change–reform–in a greater capacity. No doubt, even with such a title, perhaps even more so, she will continue to praise the beauty of our Constitution and to exercise every freedom it guarantees, including the beloved freedom of speech.

Concerning Governor Palin’s future, Tara Jollie states simply:

I, for one, wish her well wherever her destiny takes her. History tells us it won’t be easy.

No, it won’t be easy, but with an army of supporters standing behind her, she will surely emerge victorious. She is, after all, The Undefeated.

Palin Leading Obama In West Virginia 45%-42%/Dan Riehl Is An Hero

Posted by M.Joseph Sheppard At Palin4President2016 on September 17, 2011

According to the PPP (D) Sarah Palin leads president Obama in West Virginia by 45% to 42% if the election were held today, significantly there  are 13% undecided in that poll.

History shows that at an election the undecided goes overwhelmingly for the challenger and there would be no reason not to expect this to occur in West Virginia.

If, given that Palin is not a declared candidate and given she has been subject to the most scurrilous attacks any prospective candidate has ever received, she is out in front in, at least, West Virginia, the she is clearly a viable candidate to oppose Obama in 2012.

On another matter. The blogger Dan Riehl  at;
“RIEHL WORLD VIEW“has vociferously defended Palin’s honor against these disgusting attacks in wake of McGiniss’s “book. he is also under attack-from the main stream right-who threaten to sue him. Please visit his column and show him some support as he is a person of honor and, rare today in journalism, a gentleman.

Here is the PPP report::

Tea Party Tribune “Why, Just Now, All These Concerted Attacks On Palin?”

Posted by M.Joseph Sheppard At Palin4President2016 on September 17, 2011

Anthony James at The Tea Party Tribune asks the common sense question why, just now when Palin is considering running-has the left thrown  the kitchen sink, the kitchen garbage can and everything else not nailed down in the kitchen at her.

RUBES: The REAL Sarah Palin Haters
© 2011 By Anthony James
There’s a new book out, purportedly an “exposé” on the “real” Sarah Palin, by noted Palin hater Joe McGinnis. Joe is as well known for his questionable sources and frequently unattributable accusations as he is for his creepy fixation on all things Sarah. This is the guy who actually went to Wasilla last summer and rented the house next to the Palins so he could spy on them and be an aggravating thorn in their sides as he concocted his latest hit piece on America’s favorite Governor.
Released on almost (if not) the same day as Mr. McGuinness’ hardcover slime-fest is a new movie about Sarah Palin by Nick Broomfield, also based on un-sourced innuendo, shallowly vetted invective and spuriously hurled accusations. I’m intentionally avoiding naming either of these works of rabid fiction, lest I bestow upon them the faintest scintilla of worth or value. Interestingly, both dirtball productions are being roundly and universally criticized and discredited by the same Lapdog Misledia which until very recently delighted in piling on whenever a “Get Palin” trash  piece popped up. Apparently even the dinosaur Lapdog Misledia presstitutes are impressed with Palin’s holding third place in most national polling despite not even having announced yet. When (not “if”) this juggernaut announces, you’ll either be “On the bus or in its dust.” I guess the presstitutes would rather switch sides now, while it’s still almost sub-rosa.
Never having been one to believe in such uniquely focused “coincidences,” where two pieces with identical agendas would pop up in the pantheon of pseudo-documentary ad hominem at precisely the same time. It causes rational and clear thinking individuals to ask the questions, “Why this?” and “Why right now?” It isn’t as though the American public has been deprived by the media of ample examples of baseless, vile, vituperative assaults on this fine woman over the past three years; in fact, we and Sarah have been bludgeoned with them to the point where they have become meaningless background white-noise.
So again, we must ask, ”Why this, and why now?” To find the answers we must look at a couple of simple and obvious facts. First, up until last November, the extreme lunatic left wing of the progressive liberal movement in America seemed to be on a nonstop romp to seize the reins of this nation and drag us kicking and screaming down the path to socialist Third World banana republic hell.
But a funny thing happened on the way to the gulag… decent, hard-working, rational and patriotic Americans awoke from our near coma and popped the drag chutes. Following the spine of The Tea Party and the vocal leadership of Sarah Palin, we sent the loonies a chilling message by taking back the House of Representatives in a historic tidal wave best characterized by the old saw, “Hell no, not on our watch!”
The other piece of the puzzle is found in the fact that this is almost certainly the point in time during which it is expected that Sarah will announce her intentions to run for the presidency in 2012. Since everything including the kitchen sink having been thrown at her over the past three years only served to make her more wildly popular, the insane liberal savants inhabiting the cesspool of the Democrat Strategy Bunker knew without being told what had to be done: More of the same! Brilliant. Simply brilliant.
Notwithstanding that this most recent author and moviemaker each in their own turn did manage to come up with some different if less than original lumps of feces to throw in Sarah’s general direction, these shankers decided to prove once again that a very apt definition of insanity is to do the exact same thing over and over, always expecting a different result.
If there remain any among us who, like me, desire only to let these bottom feeding babboons know how pathetically ineffectual their patently disingenuous phlegm is, the best way to show them just happens also to be the very best thing that we can do for America at this juncture. It is both icing on the cake and the most delicious of ironies that we, and we alone, have the absolute control necessary to do what it is that needs to be done.
We must elect Sarah Palin president in the most crushing tidal wave of enthusiastic good judgment ever seen in the history of this nation. With that one bold move we will accomplish the dual goals of seeing America led by the greatest natural born leader in our generation, even as we witness the final implosion and last agonized shrieks of our endlessly lying extreme left loonies.
Their entire movement, from the fabricated attacks on Bush beginning with “Blood For Oil” to the crammed-down-our-gullets lies of Obamacare and the Shovel Ready Stimulus, have been nothing but one vile deceit heaped upon another. Such an absolute inability to deal in the truth or to face the facts of our situation and its solutions only proves that there is simply no place at the grown-ups’ table for these diseased sputa.

Good riddance to rubes and bad rubbish. Time to usher in the American Renaissance, carried in on the invigoratingly freshening breeze of President Sarah Palin.

Gov. Palin Did Tell Us: “Keep Your Powder Dry”

Posted by Ron Devito on September 17, 2011

The Balloon field in Indianola, IA had just cleared out, leaving a false Presidential announcement narrative long dead in its wake. The narrative, which had run for two weeks straight was that Governor Palin would announce that day. Karl Rove and Dick Morris promulgated it. They wanted to set up the meme of “disappointed supporters.” The event organizer aided and abetted it, because they wanted to gin up their crowd numbers. SarahPAC shot the rumor down long before the rally, but some people just wanted to keep it going. The moment Gov. Palin and her husband Todd left that field, a new narrative began…

Constitution Day

Falling out on Saturday, September 17, but being observed on Friday, September 16, it was just so right. Being a Friday, Gov. Palin could call into Alaska’s Bob and Mark Show, as she had promised several times. She could dominate the news cycle for the entire weekend. With Bachmann’s campaign all but a smoking hole in the ground and Perry under crony capitalism attack, the time seemed nigh. Even the imagery on the One Nation Bus suggested the 16th could be the day. The 16th was just perfect. As the week began, emotions among some of us Palinistas built into a fever pitch.

Gov. Palin had nothing to do with any of this, for not one peep escaped her lips about September 16th. But, a large plurality of her supporters wanted that day and became emotionally wrapped up in it. It got ginned up on Facebook. As the days and hours hurtled toward the 16th, the emotions and psychological projection built. The links in the chain to some people’s disappointment were being forged.

By Thursday night, the rumor had started: “Gov. Palin was going to call into the Bob and Mark Show on the 16th,” a website declared. Palin groups on Facebook lit up. Immediately, KWHL was bombarded with emails and major news networks started calling them. Once word of that got out, the chatter intensified all the more. If the networks were “tipped off” she had to be calling in for sure! The classic child’s game of telephone/telegraph was in full swing.

First-time listeners to the show do not know that Bob and Mark and their staff like to play pranks with callers. It’s part of the schtick and part of the fun. Bob and Mark were long off the air for the day, but the switchboard operator advised several supporters to tune into the show at 1130 / 11:30 AM EDT on the 16th. The operator could not confirm who was calling but “something was going to happen.”

When Bob and Mark took to the airwaves, they shot the rumor down and said if Gov. Palin was going to call in, they would be just as surprised as everyone else. She was not on the schedule and there was no call planned.

The Prank

At 1306 / 1:06 PM EDT, Bob and Mark announced that “Sarah was going to call in.” While waiting for the call, they played three songs, the central theme of which is a word defining “female dog.” Hearing this, I had a feeling the call would be a prank. Bob and Mark would not play this type of music if they knew for certain the real Gov. Palin was going to call in right after. Though some of their content is best be described as R-rated, they tend to clean it up when they know something serious is coming up. They might be raunchy, but they know when to knock it off.

Then, a male voice they usually use for pranks “called in.”

“I’m Sarah. I’m running. I’ve already run five miles and I have a few more to go!”

Even with my anticipation at fever pitch, I got a good, hearty belly laugh out of “Sarah.” After all, Adrienne Ross used that theme in her coverage of Gov. Palin’s half-marathon, and I used it in a subsequent story. As a publisher, I want to be the first or at least among the first to break the news. But, yesterday simply was not HER day as perfect as it seemed to so many of us.

Under the Bus!

Many supporters who were so emotionally wrapped up in the 16th were angry that Bob and Mark pulled this prank. Now, they want Gov. Palin to throw Bob and Mark under the One Nation Bus by reneging on her promise to announce with the Alaskan DJ’s. After all, “they’re just crass shock jocks. Why should she announce with them?”

We’ve Been Here. We’ll Be Here. That’s It!

Bob and Mark’s slogan is “We’ve been here. We’ll be here. That’s it!” It’s not just a slogan. They have been here for Sarah Palin throughout her career as Alaska’s governor and as a private citizen. Piper Palin, called into the show last year, while her mom was out holding signs for Joe Miller who ran for a US Senate seat. At every key milestone, Bob and Mark were there. When Gov. Parnell tried to destroy Alaska’s Clear and Equitable Share (ACES), Bob and Mark were there defending Gov. Palin’s legacy and using their show as a bully pulpit for weeks to ensure that ACES – a signature accomplishment of Gov. Palin’s – was not hurt. When McGinniss’ poison pen book dominated the news for days, Bob and Mark were the only ones on the Alaskan airwaves – there to defend the Palins – and minced no words about what McGinniss is.

Eddie Burke was also a friendly host toward the Palins, but he is long off the radio.

Bob and Mark are the last ones left standing supporting Gov. Palin on the Alaskan airwaves.

While some Palinistas might find some of Bob and Mark’s content offensive, and felt “had” by the prank, Gov. Palin has her reasons for promising to announce with Bob and Mark, not least among them being an homage to her local roots, and rewarding their undying loyalty to her.

Keep Your Powder Dry

If nothing else, Bob and Mark performed a valuable service yesterday. Gov. Palin has many times said, “keep your powder dry.” Those who didn’t heed her advice got pranked. It’s that simple. Bob and Mark also taught us that we need to lighten up, and learn to laugh a little. Sometimes, we take things – and ourselves too seriously. Life is too short. When it’s her time, it’s her time. The announcement will be at a time, place and method of Gov. Palin’s choosing, not ours. It will not be at our collective psychological projection of what we hope she will do, regardless of how perfect it might seem. The 16th was “perfect” for some of us, but not for Gov. Palin. She may never reveal her reasons and she has absolutely no obligation to.

Those who ginned up the September 16th narrative have no one to blame but themselves for their outcome on the Bob and Mark Show. It was well-deserved. There is absolutely no reason to expect Gov. Palin to renege on her promise, based on a funny prank. Those who expect her to do so are most likely ginning up another disappointment for themselves.

All this nonsense can be avoided by simply not posting rumors and scuttlebutt on websites and social media sites.
