Statements of Brad Hanson and Todd Palin on McGinness Charges

Posted by joshpainter on September 15, 2011

Brad Hanson, Todd Palin’s former business partner, has released a statement refuting one of the many lies being propagated by professional liar, plagiarist and all around creep Joe McGinness:

“This is the same old story that went around in 2008,” Hanson said in a statement released today by his publicist. “It is a complete and outright lie. Todd and Sarah Palin have been good friends for many years, and in fact we still own property together. We sold a former joint business venture for business reasons, nothing more. These attacks are shameful and those making them seem to be out only to destroy good people and make money doing so.”

Todd Palin released his own statement regarding McGinness’ slimy attack on his wife’s character late Wednesday night:

“This is a man who has been relentlessly stalking my family to the point of moving in right next door to us to harass us and spy on us to satisfy his creepy obsession with my wife,” Todd Palin said via SarahPAC’s Rebecca Mansour. “His book is full of disgusting lies, innuendo, and smears. Even The New York Times called this book ‘dated, petty,’ and that it ‘chases caustic, unsubstantiated gossip.”

Update: Todd Palin’s full statement was provided to NBC’s “Today Show” Thursday morning:

This is a man who has been relentlessly stalking my family to the point of moving in right next door to us to harass us and spy on us. He traffics in innuendo and falsehoods. A few years ago he interviewed members of Sarah’s administration for a magazine article, and afterwards they said that he was the most disingenuous and intellectually dishonest writer they’d ever dealt with. He’s spent the last year interviewing marginal figures with an axe to grind in order to churn out a hit piece to satisfy his own creepy obsession with my wife. I’d ask that people consider these facts when evaluating his latest lies.”

“I’d ask the fathers and husbands of America to consider our privacy when one summer day I found this guy on the deck of the rental property, just 18 feet away next door to us, staring like a creep at my wife while she mowed the lawn in her shorts, unbeknownst to her that he was prying. As well as our teenage daughters while they tried to enjoy our traditional Alaskan summer days outdoors. Joe’s son told the media he advised his dad not to move from the East Coast to become our next door neighbor, but said his dad ‘was just waiting for Todd to be out of the picture.’ Sarah has never spoken to this intruder into our lives, our friends and family don’t speak to him, so we have no idea where he would come up with content for his book. He was on our doorstep one day trying to make conversation with our son until Track cut the conversation short after discerning Joe’s odd behavior, and I spoke to him one time when I saw him 18 feet away, just to find out who he was. He took that conversation and reported it to the media as me ‘threatening’ him.”

Incredibly, no reporter appears to have taken the time to contact Glen Rice for comment on the McGinness allegations. But, as Sean Hannity likes to say, “Journalism is dead.”

Palin In Second Place In New Poll-Romney Sinking Fast

Posted by M.Joseph Sheppard At Palin4President2016 on September 15, 2011

Here is the latest Zogby poll which includes Sarah Palin as a candidate choice for the GOP nomination. Her 14% tied for second place result, is entirely consistent with other recent polls as far as how much support she is receiving. And of course she is not a declared candidate so presumably her support, should she declare, would be much higher.

The bulk of the Bachman/Santorum/Cain support might well go to Palin when these candidates drop out even if they endorse someone else so there is a pool of at least 13% for her to draw on

“Please Don’t See McGinniss’s Palin Tactics Reflective Of ALL Dem Supporter’s”

Posted by M.Joseph Sheppard At Palin4President2016 on September 15, 2011

After another review panning (the New York Times led the charge) McGinniss’s Palin hatchet job “book” comes out in, surprisingly, another liberal newspaper a reader of the Los Angeles Times makes this pleading statement: (emphasis mine)

Mossotti at 12:04 PM September 15, 2011

“While I can’t consider myself a supporter of Palin’s ideology, if the entire book is dedicated to tearing down a figure who clearly has won the support of masses this will only work to enrage her base and give sympathy to independents.
These tactics are by no means reflective of all Democratic supporters. Sadly that is how this will be seen moving forward.”

The conclusion that ‘this is how it will be seen going forwards” is exactly right. And deservedly of course. the liberal, Democratic media has led an unremitting, unhesitating three year campaign of denigration, slander, lies, calumny and hatred against Sarah Palin and her family.

This is finally coming home to roost and part of the revulsion that is clearly apparent as the public at large turns against the Obama administration-imagine losing a Dem stronghold in Brooklyn by a landslide. That this tactic is so obvious, because of its  blatant and distorted hostility with no balance, and is unending has, in the end, turned against its perpetrators.

The end result is that Palin is becoming seen as a sympathetic figure and the claims she has made about liberal bias are indeed grounded in fact.

It may be that Palin’s courage and stoicism in the face of this unrelenting and unprecedented character assassination may, in the end, be one of the major contributing factors to the end of the Obama regime, more so than if she actually does run for president.

An Honorable Journalist Stacy McCain Defends the Palin’s With Legal Defense Fund

Posted by M.Joseph Sheppard At Palin4President2016 on September 15, 2011

It seems to me, and to many people I am sure who have felt the justified wrath of the redoubtable Robert Stacy McCain, that he is as hard boiled a journalist as could be found. That said, and I think it is a character trait of many of this breed, at the very core there is a solid, honest commitment to first principles. McCain states his opinions hard and clear-that much is certain but he goes for facts as a bedrock.

But deeper than that there is a sense of a decent human being who is driven by that inner core humanity to do and say what is right and damn the torpedoes. I believe this is, whether his readers recognize it on the surface or feel it as a gut instinct, why his blog is so massively popular. Below is a classic example of all the very best that is McCain.

He goes beyond whether he is a supporter of Palin,or not as the case may be and defends her and her family-because it is the right thing to do and does it in inimitable and frankly classy, style.

This example of honest journalism puts the entire liberal media to shame-a fact which is now recognized and of great sadness to Dem supporters.

During my trip to Wasilla last year, I told Todd Palin that if he had shot Levi Johnston, no jury in the world would have convicted him, and his wife’s poll numbers would have gone up.
Our conversation was informal and off-the-record, so readers are left to imagine Todd’s reaction, but certainly the Palins can’t be held responsible for every crazy thing a journalist says. (It was, after all, merely a hypothetical.) And neither can the Palins be blamed for what I’m suggesting now.
Joe McGinniss deserves The Mother of All Ass-Whuppings, and Todd Palin ought to give him exactly what he deserves.
So I’m asking readers to go make a $25 donation to SarahPAC to help defray Todd’s legal expenses when he shows up at McGinniss’s first book signing and pounds that scurvy worm into a bloody pulp.
Please give $25 to SarahPAC, so that we can bail Todd Palin out on that assault charge — and then fly him to the next Joe McGinniss book signing to deliver yet another brutal ass-whupping.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
Just give $25 to SarahPAC, you see, and we’ll cover Todd Palin’s legal expenses and fly him to wherever Joe McGinniss appears in public, turning McGinniss’s book tour into a nationwide beatdown tour.
After McGinniss gets out of the hospital from his first ass-whupping, he’ll probably get a restraining order against Todd. Still, Random House will be forced to hire armed security to protect Creepy Joe because, hey, what’s a restraining order to an insulted husband who’s got thousands of loyal supporters donating $25 each to cover his legal expenses?
Bonus suggestionSarah PAC should hire a documentary crew to chronicle Todd Palin’s “One Nation Joe McGinniss Ass-Whupping Tour.”
Proceeds from sales of the DVD would go to defray Joe McGinniss’s medical bills. “Compassionate conservatism” and all that.

Crony Capitalism on Steroids from GE to Solyndra – Updated

Posted by Ron Devito on September 15, 2011

Governor Palin today posted on Facebook:

UPDATE: Yet another shoe drops in the ongoing crony capitalism problems now engulfing the Obama administration. Yesterday, we learned that the the Obama White House allegedly pressured a four-star Air Force general to change his testimony about a company linked to a major Democrat donor.

In my recent speech in Iowa, some eyebrows were raised when I took on our government’s enormous economic problems caused by crony capitalism. As if on cue, just days later President Obama selected someone who exemplifies a major crony capitalism problem to sit next to the First Lady when he delivered his “jobs plan” speech before Congress. He selected General Electric CEO Jeffrey Immelt as his honored guest.

Having grown up with great respect for GE thanks to stories my grandfather shared with us about his days working for the company and even meeting GE spokesman-at-the-time Ronald Reagan during a company event, I am saddened at GE’s leadership evolution. This corporation is now the poster child of corporate welfare and crony capitalism.

This icon of American industry is a company full of good employees who make some good products (and is the parent company of a huge media outlet), but GE is also a large American corporation that pays virtually no corporate income taxes despite earning worldwide profits of $14.2 billion last year, $5.1 billion of it in the United States. In fact, they claimed a tax benefit of $3.2 billion, meaning they received more of our hard earned tax dollars than they contributed. How is that possible? It’s because not only do they shelter their money from taxes, but they also get many tax credits, loans, government grants, and other benefits from the federal government that our smaller businesses couldn’t even imagine being able to profit from.

Joining GE in the pantheon of crony capitalism is another Obama favorite that has been in the news of late: Solyndra. The President hailed this “green energy” company in a speech last May as “the true engine of economic growth.” When he announced the $535 million guarantee to Solyndra, Vice President Biden said that investments like this are “exactly what the Recovery Act is all about.” (Dear God…If the failed Solyndra venture has been what it’s “all about,” then that explains a lot.) As I pointed out in my speech at the Reagan Ranch Center last February: “History has proven again and again, when government picks the winners and losers, we’re stuck with the losers, and we the taxpayers subsidize failure!” And that’s what we’re seeing now, as the FBI raids the solar energy company’s headquarters to glean more information after the company was handed half a billion dollars in “green energy” Stimulus funds from the American taxpayer only to later declare bankruptcy. More than one thousand Solyndra workers lost their jobs. Now as the truth comes out, we discover that the White House was heavily involved in the Department of Energy’s rushed decision to give the Stimulus funds to Solyndra, and they tried to move the money through so quickly they seem to have ignored concerns that the company was not viable. Why would they do this? Perhaps it’s because a large investor in the company (about 35%) is Obama campaign bundler George Kaiser. And with the way the deal is structured, Kaiser will get his debts paid before we the taxpayers see any relief. That is sickening. And that’s how it works: workers lose their jobs, wealthy political cronies stand a good chance of getting their money back, and the U.S. taxpayer gets the shaft. Again.

President Obama has his sights set on raising $1 billion for his reelection campaign. Raising that money won’t be easy. But if you can hand out other people’s money to friends, it must get a whole lot easier. This crony capitalism and government waste is at the heart of our economic problems. It will destroy us if we don’t root it out. It’s not just a Democrat problem or a Republican problem. It’s a problem of our permanent political class. This won’t stop until “we the people” say enough is enough, and we retire the permanent political class that votes for this.

Palin Writes: Crony Capitalism on Steroids from GE to Solyndra

Crony Capitalism on Steroids from GE to Solyndra

Texas Monthly; “I Think She’s (Palin) Running & Perry Better Watch Out”

Posted by M.Joseph Sheppard At Palin4President2016 on September 15, 2011

This brilliant analysis of Sarah Palin ‘s opportunities ,potential ground game, and winning formula, should she choose to run. this is especially interesting as it comes from
(Link is here) TEXAS MONTHLY in Perry’s home state.

What is Palin up to?

I thought Perry and Palin were buddies. She came to Texas to endorse him against Bill White in December 09. But her “crony capitalism” attack on Perry was an indication that she sees an opening for her to be the nominee.

If she can weaken Perry, and he falters, the tea party crowd will be looking for somebody they can get behind. Palin would be their dream candidate. She is lying behind the log, just waiting for an opportunity. Remember, McCain was nowhere in 08 and came back to win the nomination.
What about the polls that say she can’t win, that her negatives are too high? What about the fact that she quit as governor? Doesn’t matter. She is far and away the most popular Republican with the dominant faction of the party.

Republican women in particular adore her.  She can stir a crowd more than Perry can. Perry is going to take a lot more hits. Palin can watch from the sidelines and make occasional appearances in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina.

She is strongest as a non-candidate, who can let her potential rivals cut each other up while she hurls broadsides at them from the sidelines. Her “crony capitalism” attack on Perry was a direct hit. There is more ammunition where that came from. Lots of ammunition.
Granted, it’s going to be tricky. She’s going to have to time her entry into the race perfectly. But I think she’s the only Republican who doesn’t have to build an organization. It’s there, waiting for her, in Iowa, in New Hampshire, in every state.

About those polls that say she can’t win: Many Republicans believe that the country is turning away from Obama, that he will not be electable come November of 2012, and whoever gets the GOP nomination wins.

They may be right. I think Palin is playing her cards very smartly. She has the biggest following of any Republican, by far. She has 100% name identification. She is a free agent. I think she’s intent upon running, and I think Rick Perry had better watch out.
