Palin: President is bold to ask for another blank check

Posted by loricalabrese on September 10, 2011

While most Democrats loved Obama’s jobs speech Thursday night, stating that the president was on fire, and brought strength to his speech, Sarah Palin appeared on FOX News’ “America Live” with Megyn Kelly on Friday and offered her own reaction.

“I don’t consider it a plan at all. He had no plan,” Palin said.

Palin condemned Obama for asking for another blank check and going about it in a similar way to how he and Nancy Pelosi shoved Obamacare down Americans’ throats: pass the bill and you’ll find out how we’re going to pay for it.

Bottom line is that the newly formed debt committee will be left to find another $500 billion to pay for this plan and Palin pointed this out, stating that Obama was passing the buck to the committee to do his job for him.

Palin also pointed out that spending more money and growing more government is not the answer to our woes. It’s the private sector that creates jobs and although the bill has been highly touted as bipartisan, the former Governor stressed how that’s been shoved down our throats.

“Some of the things that he talked about, yes, republicans have gotten behind,” Palin said. “And in fact, have proposed it, but the president was disingeniuos when he insisted over and over again that everything in this package has been endorsed by all and everything is going to work and over and over again, kind of shoving down our throats this idea that he is right.”

In addition to the jobs act, Kelly also asked Palin about Rick Perry and the other GOP candidates’ performances at the recent GOP debate

“It surprised me that some of the political street smarts weren’t on display and these candidates weren’t able to pivot from some of the questions into answering questions in terms of what the American voter needs to hear,” Palin said. Palin stressed that the issues we need to be focusing on right now are the debt, deficit spending and how we’re going to get away from those problems.

Of course, Palin couldn’t escape the inevitable question of whether or not she will be entering the race.

“I still believe people will be coming and going … but I don’t know if I’ll be one of those people,” Palin said.
