GOP Palin On Verge Of Huge, Unprecedented Political Victory

Posted by M.Joseph Sheppard At Palin4President2016 on July 31, 2011

Greg Sargent at the leftist Washington Post has a wailing and gnashing of teeth post up which advises the Republicans are about to have a massive win over the Dem’s over the debt ceiling deal ” GOP on verge of huge, unprecedented, political victory.

The gist is that the GOP got everything they wanted and the Dem’s gave up everything. But  there is a shining moment for the Dem’s though-they emerge as principled uber-patriots willing to lie down and surrender because only their side would rather lose, temporarily no doubt, than see the country go into default.

This is one of two themes that have merged over the last few days when it has become apparent that the true patriots  the Tea Party freshmen have, by doing what is really the unprecedented thing, actually voting the way they were elected to do in the November landslide, not being seduced by the Beltway and not folding under relentless liberal media attacks utterly changed the body politic.

The second theme is that these patriots have been charged with Nazism, terrorist, holding the country to ransom, bringing America to the verge of default and potentially leaving pensioners and the military starving and defenceless. Josh Painter has a full analysis of the media howling and wailing

The liberal media chorus, once again seeing their hero Obama going down the drain, have risen up almost as one, particularly the harpies, to demonize the utterly ordinary folks from fly over country-the  little people as Sarah Palin categorized them, as some sort of heartless radicals which is so silly  it brings the media into even further contempt.

In stark contrast, and certainly a theme that will not be heard from the media is that one person has emerged from this debacle with her reputation for saying what she means, for staying true to the “common sense economic principles needed to get America back on track” and as the leading light of the Tea party and that is, of course, Sarah Palin.

Whilst others were wavering Palin issued the strongest encouragement to the freshmen tea party representatives, outlined the consequences for them and the country of not holding strong, once again called out the president when no other potential candidate had the guts to do so-where was Romney’s leadership over the last week or so?

If the 2012 election is to be decided on firm leadership, principles, honesty and common sense economics then Palin, should she run has every chance of doing a Reagan versus Carter re-run.

  1. If she runs, Palin versus Obama will be a re-run of Reagan versus Jimmy Carter! Palin by a landslide!

  2. Joseph Sheppard could not have said this better: “If the 2012 election is to be decided on firm leadership, principles, honesty and common sense economics then Palin, should she run has every chance of doing a Reagan versus Carter re-run.” I will retweet this and spread it around.

  3. There is NO Tea Party victory here in the product coming up for a vote.

The ONLY Tea Party victory was their ability to forstall the votes and change the bill to be moderately improved.

Regardless, this bill was and is NO GOOD!

Palin knows this and I am sure she is constantly on the phone right now with Senate and Congressional members who need to be swayed to buck the pressure and do what is right for America today and into the future.

The current budget battle is NOT being fought offensively, as it needs to be. The Republicans are fighting a scrimmage battle to forestall the liberals from crossing the line, but they are lying even to themselves. This bill does nothing to stop the debt from rapidly increasing. The baseline for budgeting is going to BEGIN in this bill at historic highs, STRATOSPERIC highs.

What is wrong with our leadership? If you are afraid to confront the devils then please don’t accept leadership positions in the party. The debt doesn’t drop from this bill, not a penny. It goes up trillions. This bill is not protecting people from tax increases. Just the opposite, the Bush tax cuts expire raising taxes TRILLIONS.

We don’t just need Palin. We need her immediately! Whether you see it or not we are rapidly changing from waiting mode to survival mode.

“Unprecedent Political Victory”? I do not believe adding seven trillion dollars to the debt over the next ten years, could be described as a victory, I guess a better description of it is a Pyrrhic Victory. Gov. Palin and the Tea party should not support the increasing of the debt by seven trillion over the next ten years. I guess the added benifit is a NEW COMMMISSION . This commission will consist of the same individuals that gave us our fourteen trillion dollar debt.

  5. I’d like to thank the media elite of both the left and right, who are (blaming) pointing out to the American public that it is (the evil) Sarah Palin who is leading the Tea Party charge against the establishment dragon whose policies can do nothing other than leave America a burned out, leaving little for our posterity other than ash to eat, sleep, and breathe.

Let the American people know, let them see, that there is a genuine knight in brilliant armor who can and will fight the life and death fight that must be fought if our children are to have a future.

The more they attack Sarah the stronger she becomes.

    They have no idea.

  6. It still remains to be seen how much of a victory final bill will be; once before we thought we won only to find out that the cuts were not real cuts. There is still a lot of work, including the repeal of Obama Care that is holding the American Recovery hostage more than the debt debate. Nevertheless, Palin’s voice through this matter demonstrated the difference a leader can make. Without holding public office, she was able to do more to influence the debate and the discussion, far more, than the 2008 winner.

The press is on to him. Jay Carney was boo’d at the White House Press Conference. Amazing how some people think a campaign address at Georgetown University is suppose to be construed as a plan submitted to Congress. It prompts one to wonder how the 2008 winner could have ever taken a class in Constitutional Law, much less taught a course on it in a Law School in Chicago.

Sarah Palin will win the election. She knows it and everybody else knows it. Even her enemies know it. She has all of them squirming. The table has turned. The shoe is on the other foot. The cat is out of the bag and whatever else that means the same thing.
