SarahPAC Hires New Foreign Policy Adviser

Posted by Ron Devito on May 3, 2011

SarahWaveReaganSaluteSarahPAC has replaced Neo-Conservatives Randy Scheunemann and Michael Goldfarb of Orion Strategies with Peter Schweitzer, Conservatives4Palin and ABC News today reported. Scheunemann had been with Governor Palin since the McCain-Palin campaign of 2008. Both Schuenemann and Goldfarb said they left SarahPAC on good terms, and SarahPAC Treasurer Tim Crawford corroborated their account.

Scheunemann and Goldfarb advocated an internationalist policy, eager to use force. Schweitzer, a Hoover Fellow is a Reagan Conservative and believes force should only be used when there is a clear and present danger to our interests.

In her speech delivered at Colorado Christian University last night, Gov. Palin outlined her five-point military doctrine:

  1. First, we should only commit our forces when clear and vital American interests are at stake. Period.
  2. Second, if we have to fight, we fight to win. To do that, we use overwhelming force. We only send our troops into war with the objective to defeat the enemy as quickly as possible. We do not stretch out our military with open-ended and ill-defined missions. Nation building is a nice idea in theory, but it is not the main purpose of our armed forces. We use our military to win wars.
  3. And third, we must have clearly defined goals and objectives before sending troops into harm’s way. If you can’t explain the mission to the American people clearly and concisely, then our sons and daughters should not be sent into battle. Period.
  4. Fourth, American soldiers must never be put under foreign command. We will fight side by side with our allies, but American soldiers must remain under the care and the command of American officers.
  5. Fifth, sending in our armed forces should be the last resort. We don’t go looking for dragons to slay. However, we will encourage the forces of freedom around the world who are sincerely fighting for the empowerment of the individual. When it makes sense, when it’s appropriate, we will provide them with material support to help them win their own freedom.

As a retired American soldier I am thrilled to see these points. I have been there and done that! While serving as Aviation Warrant Officer for the MFO, I was dressed down by a foriegn
Officer in front of my command. I kept my mouth shut because I was loyal to my command. Did not want to embarras him. If I had an audience with my Commander I would have pointed out to him every damn thing that went wrong with the mission was by him not honoring my requests! As the man or woman in charge you need an open dissertation with command!
I can also say Semper Fi
Love the Palin Tribe!!! Thank you Lord Jesus!!!
