Sarah Palin To Obama: GAME ON!

Posted by Gary P Jackson on April 16, 2011

“We didn’t elect you just to rearrange the deck chairs on a sinking Titanic,” Palin said during a rally in front of the Wisconsin statehouse in Madison. “What we need from you, GOP, is to fight.” Pointing to the national champion University of Wisconsin women’s hockey team, Palin said the GOP could learn from its resolve and “needs to learn how to fight like a girl.”

By Gary P Jackson

Did Sarah Palin Just Announce Her Presidential Candidacy?

It certainly seems so!

We’re here, we’re clear, get used to it!

Sarah took on EVERYONE in her fiery speech today in Madison, Wisconsin. She took on the union thug bosses, the feckless GOP establishment, and everyone else destroying America! An estimated crowd of 13,000 braved cold, windy, snowy conditions to attend the event and hear her speak.

To the unions:

A pension is a promise that must be kept. Scott Walker understands this. He understands that states must be solvent to keep their promises. He’s not trying to hurt union members. Hey folks, he’s trying to save your jobs!

Sarah is on record saying Republicans have the fighting instincts of sheep, and today she said they need to learn how to “fight like girls“! This was vintage Sarah Palin. She came out swinging and offered no quarter, took no prisoners.

On The GOP’s timidity while fighting Obama on the budget:

We didn’t elect you just to rearrange the deck chairs on a sinking Titanic!

What we need from you, GOP, is to fight!

She hammered Republican leadership. Leadership that promised to cut $100 billion in spending as an opening shot, then scaled back to $60 billion, then settled on $38 billion, which, as it turns out is all smoke and mirrors.

In reality the Republican’s deal only reduces the budget deficit by a paltry $352 million. That’s about the amount of interest accrued on our $14 trillion dollar debt during the time it took Sarah to give her speech! [give or take a million or two]

Then after some politics as usual and accounting gimmicks we found out — ya know that $38 billion? We’re actually borrowing that $38 billion. That is not courage, that is capitulation.

This, BTW, is why the Republican establishment is working so hard behind the scenes to undermine Sarah and a possible presidential run. She is going to be just as hard on them as she is the Obama regime, and rightly so.

We’ll have more to say on this in an upcoming report.

Sarah went after Obama as being unserious about the debt crisis:

Our president isn’t leading, he’s punting on this debt crisis.

Win the future?

The only future he wants to win is his reelection!

Sarah said in no uncertain terms the battle for 2012 started today in Madison and told President Obama in no uncertain terms “GAME ON!

While not officially an announcement, make no mistake about it, Sarah Palin just threw her hat in the ring.

Sarah Palin: GAME ON!

Posted by ehvogel on April 16, 2011

Sarah Palin delivered a rousing speech to the Madison Tea Party today. It was only remotely reminiscent of her acceptance speech at the 2008 Republican Convention. Today’s speech was much more in keeping with Sarah’s Mama Grizzly image. She went after Obama with unflinching candor and delivered some stinging barbs. She also was not deterred from going after the “Republican establishment”, in her words, and lambasted the latest compromise on the 2011 budget as failing to deliver on the promises of the 2010 election.

This speech could best be described as Sarah-Unplugged. It delivered a stinging rebuke to the union leaders that have cast Madison as the centerpiece of Obama’s world vision and spoke of the Tea Party as the voice of America. This was as close to a campaign speech that I have ever seen her deliver, hence the comparison to 2008.

This was not the Sarah Palin who has worked hard to deliver thoughtful speeches to enhance her bona fides in the world of national politics. This was a tit-for-tat response to Obama’s partisanship, as delivered in his deficit-reduction speech on Wednesday. In it, Obama targeted Republican efforts toward spending reductions and overtly focused on Paul Ryan, lambasting his and the Republican’s plans as being against the aging, women and the less-advantaged.

Sarah Pain ripped into Obama’s characterization of Paul Ryan’s plan and left no doubt about her feelings when she said of The White House: “you lie”! She called out Obama for his lack of leadership and mocked him for his use of the terms “hope” and “change”. This was the most direct attack on Obama that I have seen Sarah Palin deliver since her acceptance speech at the GOP Convention.

As she wound down her speech, she implored the Madison Tea Party to consider itself as the beginning of the 2012 Presidential campaign. She invoked a well-accepted battle cry of “Game On” and compared it to the spirit of the Green Bay Packers’ Super Bowl victory to rally those in attendance.

All in all, Sarah Palin said everything that a Presidential candidate should say, short of saying it as an announced Presidential candidate. I feel that there is a major campaign in her near future and she is only sharpening her axe as she prepares for it.

I’m awaiting a transcript of her speech and will update this post as soon as it is available. I’m sure videos of her speech will be available as well and they are well-worth your time to watch. This speech was definitely history in the making.

Media/left insanity ahead of Gov. Palin’s WI appearance (Updated)

Posted by joshpainter on April 16, 2011

– by Josh Painter
Sarah Palin hasn’t even hit the ground in Wisconsin (she’s in Oklahoma City for an event tonight) for her appearance at the TEA Party rally in Madison, and already the media and their leftist fellow travelers are spreading wild rumors lies.

One of the lies is that she will be paid for her Madison appearance, knocked down by Tammy Bruce and others via Twitter:

“Thanks Tammy! @ MT Beltway operatives are spreading the false rumor that Palin is being paid to speak in Madison. She’s not.”

Another lie, one being spread by the local firefighters union is that the same Gov. Palin who fought the oil companies and their stooges in Alaska is somehow a “corporate puppet.” This one is so absurd that it prompted Rick Moore to quip:

“I hope they know which end of the hose the water comes out.”

Finally, this tweet from Jedediah Bila:

“To all spreading fiction,@ is from a union family & has never voiced an anti-union message.Do your research:

Expect more moonbat madness from the dicheesehead left before it’s all said and done Saturday in the People’s Republic of Madison.

Update: Dana Loesch, at Big Journalism comments:

“Wonkette, the website that popularized and repackaged JV-grade sarcasm as ‘snark’ published a piece wherein the author crosses his fingers for violence when Sarah Palin speaks in Madison on Saturday…”

Stacy McCain: Lefty Trig troofer prof’s ‘paper’ is all insinuation

Posted by joshpainter on April 16, 2011

– by Josh Painter
Foam-at-the-mouth moonbats are dancing in the streets because an ultra left wing Journalism professor has written a paper which they are touting as lending “credibility” to support their insane conspiracy theory that Trig is not Gov. Palin’s son. Investigative reporter Stacy McCain has taken a look at the prog prof’s paper and found that it is full of insinuation and totally lacking in any real tests of the theory, as opposed to what is expected of scholarly research. Stacy reports:

Dr. Bradford Scharlott is an associate professor of communications at the University of Northern Kentucky, who has called attention to himself by publishing a 29-page “academic” treatise, the essence of which is an allegation that Todd Palin is a liar:

The theory is that Sarah Palin is actually the grandmother of her purported son Trig, not the mother, and that she staged a gigantic hoax during the campaign to cover up this fact…

Scharlott’s article walks through all the evidence supporting the theory, including the photos of Palin in what is said to have been a late-stage pregnancy, the leisurely 20-hour trip home that Palin took after she supposedly went into labor in Texas, the refusal of the hospital where Trig was supposedly born to even confirm that he was born there (let alone who was the mother), strange statements from Palin’s doctor and the McCain campaign, and so on.

As I say, I have met Todd Palin, seen Trig scamper around the living room of the Palin family’s lakefront home in Wasilla, and watched Todd read a storybook to the adorable little tyke. Todd just rolled his eyes in disgust at my cautiously indirect mention of the “Trig Truther” nonsense, but I’d double-dog dare any of those fools to try presenting the so-called “evidence” for their lunatic theory while Todd Palin was in the room.

Yet I didn’t need to meet Todd and Trig to recognize Trig-Trutherism as lunacy.

Jesse “Gryphen” Griffin claims that he corresponded with Scharlott for two months, and that Scharlott shared an advance draft of this paper with him. This indicates that Scharlott is knee-deep into the festering swamp of Palin Derangement Syndrome.

Stacy has learned that Scharlott’s paper is being shopped by a publicist. Serious scholars and faculty submit their papers to legitimate academic journals where they are subjected to rigorous peer review. They don’t hire publicists to shop their stuff. Just another indication that this joke of a college professor cannot be taken seriously by anyone but the deranged.

Governor Palin Speaks to Over 9000 at Women of Joy Conference in Oklahoma City

Posted by Dr. Fay on April 16, 2011

Governor Palin spoke to over 9000 women at  the Oklahoma City Women of Joy Conference on Friday in Oklahoma City.  She urged attendees to live a life of purpose in serving God.

Carla Hinton at NewsOK reports:

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin urges women to live lives of faith, joy and purpose

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin urges Women of Joy conference participants to find their purpose in Christ. Palin spoke Friday at the conference held at State Fair Park.

Former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin shared her faith testimony Friday, urging thousands of Oklahoma women to find their purpose in Christ, despite critics and “haters” in their midst.

Palin made her remarks at the Women of Joy Christian women’s conference held at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City. The event, sponsored by Phil Waldrep Ministries based in Trinity, Ala., drew more than 9,000 women to the Jim Norick State Fair Arena.

Waldrep, an evangelist, is host of the syndicated “Living With Joy” radio show. At the beginning of Friday’s session, Waldrep welcomed Gov. Mary Fallin to the stage by saying she was the first sitting governor to attend one of his conferences.

Fallin received a standing ovation as she gave a short welcome to conference participants and expressed her excitement about Palin’s coming presentation.

“You talk about a woman who knows how to plant her feet firmly in the Word of God and to keep standing no matter what happens,” Fallin said of Palin.

Palin, in turn, expressed her appreciation for Fallin, a fellow Republican, by congratulating her on her election as Oklahoma governor.

“She’s a mama grizzly looking out for future generations,” Palin said.

Palin spoke for about 40 minutes, her speech often laced with humor that drew laughter from the crowd.

She took the stage to cheers and a standing ovation from the audience and left it with the same rousing appreciation from conference attendees.

The former governor told those gathered that being a woman of joy is “seeking and living out your purpose to be in service to our Creator, to God” even though there may be inconveniences, struggles and people — “haters” and critics — in their path.

She urged attendees to reject lives of selfishness and self-absorption for a life of seeking God’s will.

Palin said the Lord has been her strength throughout difficult times in her life, particularly when she learned her son Trig would be born with Down syndrome.

“I can’t even tell you what a blessing Trig has been to us. To us, he is perfect.”

She said Christ has been her internal compass and she encouraged conference participants to allow Him to guide them as well.

“Thank God His outstretched hand is there.”
