Handcrafted birthday card for Sarah
Before I became a political junkie I was a papercrafting junkie. Scrapbook pages, cards, treat bags, you name it. If there was paper, ink, ribbon or rub-ons involved you can bet it’s on the 6-foot desk in my office. Fast-forward to 2008 and with the pending presidential election I turned my attention to the primaries and then to the general election. Upon hearing Governor Sarah Palin’s speech at the RNC, I knew that there was finally a candidate that I wanted to work for. Papercrafting was left by the wayside.
After hearing about Team Sarah during an interview on Sirius Patriot Radio in early October with Janine Turner, I joined as quickly as I could. (Meaning, as soon as I pulled into my driveway and could get my computer turned on!) Shortly after the election of November 2008, a friend helped me to make the connection with Jim (the creator of this blog who was looking for someone to take it over) and as they say, the rest is history.
Although I have supported Sarah Palin all this time, this is the first time I have ever sent her a birthday card. (See photo accompanying this blog post.) I hope it’s well-received.
