Palin, As Popular As Ever Even With Left’s Unprecedented Attacks,Gets Roaring Reception In Sold Out Address In Texas-

Posted by M.Joseph Sheppard At Palin4President2016 on January 25, 2011

The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reports that Sarah Palin’s address to a packed audience at a fundraiser for the Lubbock Christian School was greeted by “frequent applause and cheers”.

In the full report detailed below the standout quote from an attendee who was asked what impressed about Palin is:

“Her enthusiasm, her love for America, her honesty and her core values of representing the people and not just special interests.”

This reception, coming hard on the heels of one of the most intense campaigns of villification and now slander against Palin by the mainstream liberal media, proves that the public are not taken in by the left’s vile antics.

This was further reinforced by the latest Rasmussen poll which shows Palin actually having risen in favor as a major contender Republican choice for president.

The day will come when the media will have to repay the terrible debt they are running up with the American public in lost credibility-in the meantime palinsails onwards to her positive destiny basking in the deserved adulation of audiences like those in Lubbock today.

******************************************************************

Despite the heightened level of security concerns, the Lubbock Christian School fundraiser featuring Sarah Palin garnered ample support from area residents and created a unique connection between Alaska and Texas.

Palin, former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate, addressed about 1,400 people Monday night during LCS’ annual fundraiser at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.

Palin said Texas and Alaska are alike because they are “good beacons of freedom

and share similar values and work ethic, said Kristen Vander-Plas, president of the Lubbock Christian University College Republicans.

She said she was impressed by Palin’s willingness to go forward with her fundraiser appearance with added security despite the recent shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords in Arizona.

Many in the audience were LCS alumni, Vander-Plas said, and the audience as a whole was receptive to Palin’s message as was evident in their frequent applause and cheers.

Some, like Bob Wood, were drawn to the event through sheer curiosity.

He said he came to hear Palin although he does not always agree with what she says.

Others were avid Palin fans wanting to see the woman who made a huge splash in American politics in 2008.

“I believe in Sarah Palin and what she represents for America,” said Linda Hunt of San Angelo, who won free tickets for the event. “Her enthusiasm, her love for America, her honesty and her core values of representing the people and not just special interests.”

Still, LCS alumni and sponsors said the main purpose of the evening was raising money for the school — having Palin present was an added bonus.

UPDATE;Rasmussen confirms; [Latest Poll Shows Palin/Huckabee At 40% For GOP Nomination-Romney at 17%. Clear Sailing For Palin]

Posted by M.Joseph Sheppard At Palin4President2016 on January 25, 2011

Further to the Washington Post poll as detailed below which shows the Palin/Huckabee vote at 40% and Romney at 17% the latest Rasmussen poll confirms the general trend.

Rasmussen has Palin/Huckabee at 36% and Romney at 24%. According to Conservatives4Palin Rasmussen is using a different set of internals which disfavor Palin/Huckabee as they poll a lower number of self described Evangelicals.

Even so, and allowing for this alternative methodology the result is still the same margin of error wise. If Huckabee does not run then Palin has a substantial lead and, based on the three opening states primaries; Iowa/New Hampshire/South Carolina, she should win 2 out of three and be well on her way to the nomination.

Interestingly, since the Rasmussen poll of November 2009 Romney has stayed the same at 24%, Palin is up one to 19% and Huckabee has dropped 12% to 17%. This shows that, even with all the mass of negative publicity the left generated against Palin after the Arizona tragedy the people who really count,t he Republican voters, still view her, and her moral foundations, which they view as Huckabee also sharing, unchanged ,and what they want in their candidate.

*************************************************
AS POSTED PREVIOUSLY

In a new Washington Post poll
21% of respondents advised they would support Huckabee 19% Palin and 17% Romney as detailed below.

No one else got into double figures and the latest left wing media selections for the GOP of the month Thune and Daniels hardly rated at all.

The 40% shared between Palin and Huckabee-a statistical tie are the only poll results that matter at this point in time for the 2012 election. The polls showing Palin 10 points behind Obama for example, two years out are meaningless as the Reagan polling below shows.

All that matters for Palin is,should she choose to run, how well will she do in the early primaries. Clearly, despite all the massive negative left wing media attacks she is still very popular with the base (80% in polls).

Polling has also shown that should Huckabee choose not to run, a strong possibility, then Palin is his supporters next choice. The numbers then, at this point, and should Huckabee not run, are very much on her side. Even Andrew Sullivan in a moment of lucidity when the PDS uterus fog lifted, said this week that he thinks the “nomination is still hers to lose” even given the media attacks and supposed general low poll rating.

37. (ASKED OF LEANED REPUBLICANS) I’m going to read a list of possible candidates for the Republican nomination for president in 2012. After you hear the list, please tell me, if the 2012 Republican presidential primary or caucus in your state were being held today, for whom would you vote? Which candidate would you lean toward?

Announcing Reagan/Palin Appreciation Month in February

Posted by Dr. Fay on January 24, 2011

February is the month five of our presidents were born (4 past and 1 future).  It also marks the 100th anniversary of President Reagan’s birth.  We would celebrate Governor Palin’s and President Reagan’s birthdays anyway, but since the liberal media has called for a Palin moratorium, the authors at the Sarah Palin Information Blog have decided to spearhead a Reagan/Palin Appreciation Month.  We want to honor Reagan for his outstanding service to our country, and we want to honor Governor Palin for her accomplishments and for all she continues to do for our country.

President Reagan fought Communism from the time he worked in Hollywood through his years in office and won the Cold War without firing a shot.  His famous line, “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!” will ring through history.  America prospered during his Presidency as Reaganomics stimulated the economy, increased employment, and cut taxes and government expenditure.  Ronald Reagan’s policies also increased the strength of our military.

Governor Sarah Palin has stood up and spoken out fearlessly in defense of conservative principles and national security when others remained silent, and she has taken the darts and arrows for doing so.  And we have seen over an over that she was right.  Her tireless efforts during the mid-term elections also helped elect men and women who will represent the American people instead of the establishment.  All of her supporters are waiting anxiously in the hope that she will run for President and help lead our country out of the mess the current administration has gotten us into.

During February, as we celebrate President Reagan’s legacy and Governor Palin’s accomplishments, the Palin-friendly blogs that participate in Reagan/Palin Appreciation Month will be ramping up their coverage of all things Sarah Palin in a show of support for Governor Palin.  We are asking all Sarah Palin supporters to sign the Reagan/Palin Appreciation Month Proclamation.  Palin-friendly blogs that want to participate in this celebration can request to be added as sponsors of the Proclamation by using the Contact Petition Sponsor button on the petition website after signing the Proclamation.

February is barely a week away now, so let’s get organized to have a great month of celebration for two great Presidents – one who has finished his course and one who is waiting in the wings to bear his torch.

UPDATE:  Planning our month of celebration began on Saturday (Jan 22) with our SPIB authors, and we were joined the next day by others in our blogging community.  On Sunday, we became aware of two similar efforts, by iOwnTheWorld  and  Right Coast Conservative.   It became obvious that Sarah Palin supporters were on the same page concerning the month of February.  Our Proclamation announcing Palin/Reagan Appreciation Month was launched on Monday night (Jan 24).  Patrick Adams contributed the “Stretch and Warmup” portion of the proclamation, and I modeled the rest of the proclamation after those of special days that Governor Palin frequently issued as Governor.  On Wednesday, Toby Harnden announced that February will be ‘Sarah Palin Month’ on Telegraph Blogs.  Josh Painter has written a summary of  all the related efforts to date – we expect there will be more.

Giuliani vs. Palin?

Posted by loricalabrese on January 23, 2011

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani will appear on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” on Monday and says he’s “more likely” to run for president in 2012 if former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin runs.

Host Piers Morgan teased his audience with a few quotes on Twitter from the upcoming interview. Giuliani is quoted as saying, “The more Republicans in which I can show a contrast, probably the better chance, the better chance that I have … My one chance, if I have a chance, is that I’m considered a moderate.”

Giuliani, who dropped out of the 2008 Republican presidential primary, said running against Palin for the 2012 GOP nomination would show him as a moderate Republican.

Giuliani also says he would concentrate on winning Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, sites of the first presidential nominating contests, since in 2008 he focused his resources in Florida and that didn’t work.

So is Giuliani serious about running?

“I will take a look at 2012,” Mr. Giuliani told Larry Kudlow on CNBC Thursday night. “It’s really a question of, can I play a useful role? Would I have a chance of getting the nomination? Those are things that I’ll have to evaluate, you know, as the year goes along.”

Julian Assange’s lawyer threatens Palin with prosecution

Posted by loricalabrese on January 23, 2011

You might remember that it was in a Facebook post on November 29th, Sarah Palin wrote that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange should be “pursued with the same urgency as al-Qaida and Taliban leaders.” Now, Robert Stary, Julian Assange’s Melbourne-based lawyer, has threatened Sarah Palin (and others) saying he’ll prosecute her if she steps foot in Australia.

Stary tells National Public Radio he’ll pursue a “private prosecution” because her remark is essentially a call for Assange’s execution.

“Our main concern is really the possible extradition to the U.S. We’ve been troubled by the sort of rhetoric that has come out of various commentators and principally Republican politicians — Sarah Palin and the like — saying Mr. Assange should be executed, assassinated,” Stary says.

Stary thinks his client’s defense should be pretty straightforward, because he considers Assange to be a journalist, protected by U.S. First Amendment guarantees of free speech, however he claims that anyone who incites others to commit violence against his client, even outside Australia, Stary says, is violating Australian law, and can be held accountable for it.

“Certainly if Sarah Palin or any of those other politicians come to Australia, for whatever purpose, then we can initiate a private prosecution, and that’s what we intend to do,” Stary said.

This might be just as laughable as the claims that Palin was to blame for the Arizona shootings. Looks as though Stary wants to capitalize on all of the mainstream media’s misdirected blame toward Palin and blow it out of proportion that Palin is now inciting violence worldwide. I don’t understand how Palin’s statement that Assange should be “pursued” has been misconstrued into a call for Assange’s execution, but the bottom line is that Assange has bigger things to worry about and is really in no position to even think about prosecuting anyone else, especially for something as silly as this.

CNN: Giuliani vs. Palin in 2012?

Posted by joshpainter on January 22, 2011

Rudy Giuliani says he’s actually “more likely” to run for president if Sarah Palin does:

In an interview on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight,” Giuliani, who dropped out of the 2008 Republican presidential primary, said running against Palin for the 2012 GOP nomination would show him as a moderate Republican.

“The more Republicans in which I can show a contrast, probably the better chance, the better chance that I have,” Giuliani told CNN’s Piers Morgan in an interview set to air at 9 pm. ET Monday.

[…]

He also addressed Palin’s use of the word “blood libel” that she used in a video following the Arizona shootings. The phrase traditionally refers to a long-standing anti-Semitic myth that Jews murdered children for religious rituals. In present times, the term has come to be understood by some as any false accusation of murder.

Palin used it to criticize many in the media who said her political rhetoric may have contributed to the shootings. She later said her critics were taking issue with the phrasing in hopes of derailing her overall message.

Giuliani said “except for the use of the word, (she was) absolutely right on.”

Rudy is right about one thing — there would certainly be a contrast between the two if both got into the race.

Giuliani has a pro-abortion record, including support of taxpayer-funded abortions and refusal to ban late-term abortions. He also supports the federal funding of embryonic stem cell research. In a high profile case, he sued firearms manufacturers to try to hold them liable for gun violence. Rudy is also something of a flip-flopper, who praised RFK in his law school newspaper and bashed Barry Goldwater. While that can be chalked up to youthful ignorance, his pivot on school prayer is more problematic. Giuliani condemned a New York City public schoolteacher who led her class in prayer, but sent out fundraising letters in 1999 in which he portrayed himself as favoring of school prayer. He was for amnesty for illegal aliens before he was against it, and reissued Ed Koch’s executive order making NYC a sanctuary city for illegals . He also opposed George H.W. Bush’s ban on gay marriage, but in his 2000 campaign for the Senate said that marriage should be between one man and one woman.

Gov. Palin is fiercely pro-life, has always believed marriage is defined as one man and one woman and opposes embryonic stem cell research. She has received a number of awards from the NRA for her support of the Second Amendment. Although she’s not against some sort of path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, she rejects amnesty for them. Gov. Palin has always been suuportive of conservatives, from Goldwater to Jim DeMint and Paul Ryan. She has also been far more consistent on the issues than Giuliani. She has always supported school prayer and opposed gay marriage.

Yes, there are enough clear-cut differences between Rudy G and Gov. Palin on the issues that we say, Bring it on!

MSNBC Axes Keith ‘PDS’ Olbermann

Posted by Adrienne Ross on January 22, 2011

By Adrienne Ross – http://www.motivationtruth.com

MSNBC has been a leader in nasty, vile, slanderous rhetoric about Governor Palin. So much so that I simply cannot stomach them; I don’t even try. Keith Olbermann has been among the chiefest of offenders. But no more. If he’s going to continue his PDS-inspired hate-fest, he will have to do it somewhere else. MSNBC, merging with Comcast, axed him last night.

Josh Painter breaks down Olbermann’s record, putting his anti-Palin mania into perspective:

Keith Olberman, has been abruptly fired by MSNBC, apparently during Friday night’s show. More here. Just last month he dubbed Bristol Palin the “Worst Person In The World” for her role as an ambassador for abstinence with the Candies Foundation, and as recently as Tuesday misrepresented a CNN poll in a ridiculous attempt to tie Sarah Palin to the Tucson shootings.

Olby has been a frequent critic of Bristol’s mom beginning just days after she was announced as John McCain’s running mate more than two years ago. On September 17 of 2008, he falsely accused Gov. Palin of cutting funding for the Special Olympics by half in Alaska. He has bashed the first woman to be both governor of Alaska and the Republican Party’s vice presidential candidate as a “phony” and an “idiot,” and has named her “Worst Person In The World” a number of times. The hysterical host also labeled Gov. Palin and other critics of ObamaCare “subhumans,” “ghouls,” and “fiends.” After Sarah Palin called David Letterman out for making a crude sexual “joke” about her teenage daughter Willow, Olbermann called the governor “sanctimonious, holier than thou, exploitative, undignified, pedantic, childish, self-inflicting, insipid, backwards, embarrassing, over-reactive, overreaching” as well as a “delusional lunatic.” Even after all of his slandering of Sarah, the not-too-bright Bathtub Boy couldn’t seem to understand why she would not be itching to appear on the network of hate, referring to her as a coward and throwing in for bad measure “idiot-woman” and “idiot.” And that’s only the highlight reel.

Read more here.

You reap what you sow, and Olbermann has sown much hatred, ill-wishes, and downright evil seeds regarding Governor Palin. I’ll leave it at that.

Media’s “Boycott Palin February” Plan Collapsing As Axis Of Bedevil Fractures Over Cash/Salaciousness

Posted by M.Joseph Sheppard At Palin4President2016 on January 22, 2011

The leftist media, who for over two years have engaged in an unrelenting, merciless and, as shown in their gross dereliction of duty linkage of Palin to the terrible deaths in Arizona, rotten attacks on Sarah Palin are split asunder on the merits of their latest efforts to nullify her.

As I reporte
d the left media, having seen that their campaign of vilification and destruction has only toughened Palin, whilst ensuring her supporters circle the wagons around her ever tighter have finally realized that all their efforts are in vain.

The best illustration of this is the remarkable Republican candidate preferential presidential poll over at “Free Republic” where Palin,(as reported by Gary P. Jackson at “A time For Choosing” got 81% support with no one else with a mile of her-obviously a defensive reaction to the media attacks on her.

What they have done is to make Palin armor plated if she runs for the presidency as they, the left, have shot all their arrows and really have nothing left. After their best, or rather worst, efforts over Arizona Palin simply advised she will not go away and will not shut up.

She has, in effect used the Ali “Rope a dope” strategy against them-taking all their best shots, giving a flurry in return off the ropes now and then, and finally, when the left has worn itself out, she lands a knockout blow right on the jaw. (metaphorically speaking of course).

So now they advise they are picking up their toys and going home. Charles Blow, Maddow, and now Dana Millbank advise they won’t comment on her-Millbank for the entire month of February. Millbank also called on his fellow lefties to join him in this silent crusade.

He picked up some support. “ Outside The Beltway“- a sarcastic elitist blog is on board, “ Skippy The Bush Kangaroo” which, as childish as the blog title befits, advised they will do it “to piss Palin off”. She’s sure to take notice of that earth shaking happening. Some blog called “The Impolitic agreed totally with Millbank, and Pamela Leavey at “The Democratic Party” will not mention Palin in February and “perhaps even longer”.

This is of course wonderful news for Palin and the wider public too. For the first time Plain’s statements will be heard without the distorting, sarcastic, hateful comment filter that the New York Times, Washington Post and the leftist blogosphere usually treat them with.

Frankly it would be great if all these assorted critics didn’t mention her ever again-if only.

However, sad to report, the left has fractured on the great Palin cold shoulder crisis amongst them. Andrew “bareback uterus” Sullivan ( I will not link to him as readers might get HIVes) will report in February along with he advises, oddly, “The National Enquirer”. Perhaps he is expecting the long delayed sensational report that Palin is not the mother of her Down syndrome child that he has been looking forwards to for so long.
“The Reaction” calls the boycott “silly, impotent, irresponsible”. Interestingly “impotent’ when used by palin was a word the left pilloried her for-but there wouldn’t be a word in the dictionary which, if used by her, they wouldn’t find a way of attacking her about.

New York Magazine’s Dan Amira doesn’t commit one way or the other but describes one journalist who “took his own life” when trying not to write about Palin. Weigal at Slate, and Alex Alvarez at Mediate won’t take a position, Weigal effectively throwing in the towel on behalf of the left, by advising the reason why the number of pages about Palin is dropping is because the left believes she will “never be elected” but Chris Weigant at Huffington Post straddles the fence- agreeing with Millbank in principle, but will still write about Palin.

That would be expected as Huffpost garners tremendous quantities hits on its special Palin “Big News” page where juveniles rant and rave about her in response to negative story after negative story.

At least the despicable Gawker and Wonkette blogs are honest in the crassness. They admit it is all about eyeballs on the page and as Wonkette says, in a vaguely racist manner “ching ching it’ all about money.”

So a slightly disappointing second day of the great Palin silent February mission but we can still be grateful for the self negating efforts of those who will stick to their non-Palin month. The concern for them is that all that poison will be bottled up for four weeks which might be severely deleterious to their health-we can only wish them well.

Sarah Palin Wins Free Republic 2012 Straw Poll Second Year In A Row With A Stunning 81% Blowout

Posted by Gary P Jackson on January 21, 2011

By Gary P Jackson

Sarah Palin has once again won Free Republic’s 2012 Presidential Straw Poll. It wasn’t even close with 81.6 percent of Free Republic’s registered members choosing Sarah over a large field of contenders for the GOP nod. Mike Pence came in second with 7.3 percent. Mike Huckabee and Rudy Giuliani received no votes from the Freepers.

Free Republic is a group of roughly 300,000 Conservative activists nationwide, with their website getting about 1 million hits a day.

While this polling is in no way scientific, it’s a good judge of where people’s heads are at when it comes to who they want to see as the Republican nominee in 2012. And with these numbers, there is little doubt of who that is.

Here’s the complete run down:

Palin 81.6%

Pence 7.3%

Cain 4.8%

Bachman 2.1%

Barbour 1.5%

Gingrich .76%

Pawlenty .6%

Daniels .6%

Romney .6%

Santorum .14%

Giuliani and Huckabee had no votes
