The Palins Talk Fish with Biologist Tim Sands

Posted by Dr. Fay on December 2, 2010

Governor Palin posted a link to this video on Facebook today, accompanied by this comment:

Enjoy this video from “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” about how we manage our fish for abundance.

The video, entitled “The Palins Count Fish”  is posted on the TLC YouTube channel with this description:

Watch a deleted scene from Sarah Palin’s Alaska where Sarah, Todd and Piper meet with Tim Sands of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game to count fish.

Remember to watch Sarah Palin’s Alaska Sunday nights at 9/8c on TLC and check out the official site at TLC.com/SPAlaska. Also check out the show’s companion site at SPAlaska.com.

SPAlaska.com also posted the bonus video in an article on that website yesterday.

Viewer ratings for “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” broke TLC records with its premiere episode, saw a normal decline in the second episode, and then became stronger in its third and most recent episode.  The bloggers at SPAlaska.com were excited by this latter increase and posted this article yesterday:

Big news around these parts today! The ratings for the most recent episode of Sarah Palin’s Alaska are in, and as Larry David would say, they’re “Prettay good. Prettay, prettay … prettay good!”

In a 17% increase from the previous episode’s ratings, 3.5 million people tuned in to see Track and Todd go fishing, and Sarah and Willow prep some salmon. That’s half a million more than last week and includes a 42% increase in the important 18- to 49-year-old demographic, rising from seven hundred-thousand to one million.

We’re not the only one’s talking about this big bump; here are what some other’s have had to say about it:

It seems clear that the general feeling on this news is: “wow!”

Let’s celebrate!
