J.D. Gordon: Obama Smarter than Palin? Don’t Believe the Hype
Posted by Adrienne Ross on October 23, 2010
By Adrienne Ross – http://www.motivationtruth.com
When Barack Obama stepped on the scene, those who believed the hype praised him for his intellect, his IQ, and how his massive brain power was going to lead America somewhere we had never been before. I’ve yet to see the evidence of this uncommon intelligence he supposedly possesses, but that’s what the Kool Aid drinkers told us. On the contrary, Governor Palin was depicted as unread and unintelligent, a lie as large as the state from which she hails. J.D. Gordon of The Washington Times offers this:
While most pundits and late-night comedians place President Obama far ahead of Sarah Palin in terms of intellect, perhaps Public Enemy’s best-known hit – “Don’t Believe the Hype” – is a fitting tribute to this myth.
Propped up by the mainstream media as the intellectual version of Superman, Mr. Obama with his eloquent, if not robotic, public appearances has fed into the perception that he is one of the most brilliant people in world history – a political Albert Einstein, worthy of the Nobel Prize.
Mrs. Palin meanwhile, has been mercilessly attacked by most in the media and chronically lampooned on late-night TV to the point where some believe she said things that actually were said by comedians.
[…]
In fact, given Mr. Obama’s track record in comparing his 2008 presidential campaign to the results of his presidency thus far and contrasting it with Mrs. Palin’s steadfast leadership of the Tea Party movement, which is changing the political landscape of the country, I would argue that she is actually smarter than Mr. Obama.
First, Mrs. Palin understands that lofty campaign promises don’t equate to good governance. Mr. Obama’s presidential campaign, centered around “hope and change,” has led to runaway spending in a roughly $800 billion stimulus bill, dramatically increased unemployment to roughly 10 percent – twice the rate of George W. Bush’s administration – and ushered in Obamacare, which the majority of Americans oppose.
Mr. Obama’s No. 1 priority, closing the Guantanamo Bay detention facility, as he mandated within hours of being sworn into office, went nowhere, as did outreach to Iran and now the Taliban fighting our troops in Afghanistan. Meanwhile, unilateral missile-defense cuts and world tours of apologies, complete with bowing to foreign leaders, have made the country less safe.
Given such factors, it should not be surprising that Mr. Obama’s approval rating has plummeted from 68 percent at inauguration to a mere 44 percent less than 2 years later. Mrs. Palin campaigned in 2008 for balancing the budget, creating jobs, promoting energy independence and supporting the troops, issues that have remained crucial over the past two years.
Unlike Mr. Obama, Mrs. Palin can relate to Main Street. While the Obama family jetted to Martha’s Vineyard, Maine and the Spanish Mediterranean coast last summer alone, the Palins have been connecting with the American public throughout the United States in dozens of speaking venues and other appearances, including “Dancing With the Stars.” In a recent California speech, Mrs. Palin pointed to the plight of Central Valley farmers who can’t get water for their crops while 37,000 jobs have been lost in the process – all to save a 2-inch fish (the delta smelt) which was rescued through an environmentalist lawsuit. “In Alaska, we call a 2-inch fish bait,” she said wryly.
Last but not least, mainstream media and late night-comedy portrayals are deeply flawed when it comes to Mrs. Palin. It is easy to look smart when surrounded by teleprompters like Mr. Obama. In those rare instances when Mr. Obama strays from the script, we end up with comments like “the Cambridge police acted stupidly” that precipitated the infamous White House beer summit with his friend professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. of Harvard and Cambridge, Mass., Police Sgt. James Crowley. In contrast, Mrs. Palin relies heavily on speech notes during her public appearances and often speaks extemporaneously. Her folksy ways and plainspoken language are simply part of her charm and a reflection of her genuine character, not any indication of her intellectual capacity.
[…]
Though the mainstream media and comedians can say what they will, Americans will have their say at the ballot box. When voters scratch below the surface of myths that have been constructed carefully around Mr. Obama and Mrs. Palin and compare the myths to the track records over the past two years, they just might reconsider who is smarter.

Sarah Palin: This Is What Happens When Our Constitution Starts Shaking Her Fist
Posted by Gary P Jackson on October 23, 2010
By Gary P Jackson
Sarah Palin weighed in hard on Thursday over the despicable firing of Juan Williams by taxpayer funded NPR, calling on Congress to defund this house organ of the political left.
She’s also burning up the keys on her BlackBerry © as well, and tweeted this profound statement.
NPR & LSM: you’re shocked at public outrage over your censorship of Juan? This is what happens when our Constitution starts shaking her fist
Once again, our Constitution protects all speech, not just the speech we agree with. Agreeable speech really needs no protection, does it?
This entire episode is yet another shining example of the huge myth that says the left is “loving,” “accepting,” and “tolerant.” The left only tolerates that which is in total lock step (goose step?) with it’s radical agenda. Any deviation will be dealt with swiftly, and harshly.

They First Came For Juan Williams, But I Wasn’t Juan Williams
Posted by Gary P Jackson on October 23, 2010
In Germany they first came for the Communists,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist. Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew.Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn’t speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me —
and by that time no one was left to speak up.~ Pastor Martin Niemöller
By Gary P Jackson
No doubt by now you have heard all about the incredibly disturbing situation with Juan Williams and National Public Radio. (NPR)
On Monday while discussing Muslims, it seems Juan was a bit indelicate while making a broader point. The radicals over at CAIR (the Muslim answer to the NAACP) who cry foul at anything said critical of the so-called “Religion of Peace,” went nuts.
All Juan said was he finds himself feeling uncomfortable when he gets on an airplane and sees Muslims in their garb. (Who doesn’t after 9/11?) Now Juan went on to say that we as a nation must learn to get past this. And, well, he’s right …. to a point.
Thing is, NPR, which is taxpayer funded, has been looking to get rid of Jan, because he’s a regular on more than a few programs on Fox News.
The quote posted above is from Pastor Martin Niemöller and, of course, he was talking about fascism in Nazi Germany. He’s making the point that if people had stood up when the government came for one group, and said “Hell No! This dog ain’t gonna hunt!” millions of people’s lives would have been spared.
Well, we are at a point in this country, where the Marxist-progressive movement is starting to mirror the fascism of Nazi Germany. These people can’t compete in the marketplace of ideas. Their ideas are proven failures, and have been for over a century, and around the world.
Marxism, which includes Fascism, Socialism, and Communism, has witnessed catastrophic failure, and seen 100 million men, women, and children murdered by the various states, such as Nazi Germany, Red China, the Soviet Union, and Castro’s Cuba.
One thing that our readers know, and history verifies, it was American Marxist-progressives, at the turn of the 20th Century, who were the inspiration for the Nazis. Please remember what Nazi is short for: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei or National Socialist German Workers Party.
What does that have to do with Juan Williams?
Let us not forget, the Socialist Party of America recently released the names of 70 democrat members of Congress who belong to their caucus. These are the leaders of the Marxist-democrat party.
Then we have the infamous JournoList, a cabal of so-called main stream “journalists” and members of academia. These are some of the top names in “journalism.” Names everyone who reads knows. When this scandal broke we learned how they all coordinated stories to not only attack the defenders of Liberty and Freedom, but conspired to cover up stories that would harm Barack Obama during the 2008 election. Stories, had they been reported fairly, that would have guaranteed a landslide loss.
We know these people also went into panic mode within minutes of John McCain announcing Sarah Palin as his vice presidential running mate. They coordinated attacks, made up lies, and even discussed how they could attack Sarah’s brand new son Trig, and actually exploit the fact that he is a special needs child. The evil involved in this is off the charts gentle readers.
What we have learned is the Marxist-progressive movement, which has totally taken control of every aspect of the democrat party, has a propaganda machine that would have Joseph Goebbel salivating with envy.
Again, why does this matter? Well, as we reported months ago, most of the hundreds of members of JournoList, including names you know, and (God forbid) may have even trusted, are Communists, Socialists, and/or stooges directly connected to Nazi sympathizer George Soros, the self proclaimed “owner of the democrat party,” and quite possibly one of the most evil men alive today.
All of these people, the Marxist-democrats, the JournoListers, and most certainly George Soros, are incredibly anti-Constitution, anti-Rule of Law, and anti-American.
These people work daily through thousands of groups, many who have at least received seed money from Soros, to undermine the American experiment. These people smear anyone and everyone who doesn’t march lock step (or is it goose step) with their insane ideology.
At the big “One Nation” rally (flop) an open gathering of Communists and Socialists, promoted by Barack Obama through his Organizing for America permanent campaign, that was held on the Washington Mall in response to Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor rally (where over 500,000 celebrated) many top Marxist-democrats where chastising Juan in speeches calling him an “Uncle Tom” and worse.
Juan is just as much a progressive as the rest of these losers, but since he also thinks for himself, sometimes strays off the plantation, and of course, appears on Fox News, he’s become one of those “uppity” Negroes. The kind who would have found a cross burning in his yard a generation ago.
Look, I’m not one of Juan Williams biggest fans. I disagree with him on just about every level, but the man comes off pretty well for a progressive. His seems relatively reasonable, when compared to his fellow travelers. The only time he just goes stupid is when he’s talking about certain strong Conservative women, like Sarah Palin. Then he goes full on stupid, just like his former friends. But you know what? I support the man’s God given freedom to speak his mind. It’s the only way we can be truly free, something those on the left fear more than death itself. You see, people who are truly free, won’t put up with the nonsense the left is pushing.
Popular speech never needs defending. It’s the sort of speech that makes you angry, or even sick to your stomach, that must be defended vigorously. One man’s “hate speech” is another man’s music. And I’m using the Marxist definition of “hate speech,” which is anything the Marxists disagree with.
Speaking of Sarah Palin, she tweeted Juan, and weighed in with a powerful editorial via Facebook:
Juan Williams: Going Rogue
At a time when our country is dangerously in debt and looking for areas of federal spending to cut, I think we’ve found a good candidate for defunding. National Public Radio is a public institution that directly or indirectly exists because the taxpayers fund it. And what do we, the taxpayers, get for this? We get to witness Juan Williams being fired from NPR for merely speaking frankly about the very real threat this country faces from radical Islam.
We have to have an honest discussion about the jihadist threat. Are we not allowed to say that Muslim terrorists have killed thousands of Americans and continue to plot the deaths of thousands more? Are we not allowed to say that there are Muslim states that aid and abet these fanatics? Are we not allowed to even debate the role that radical Islam plays in inciting this violence?
I don’t expect Juan Williams to support me (he’s said some tough things about me in the past) – but I will always support his right and the right of all Americans to speak honestly about the threats this country faces. And for Juan, speaking honestly about these issues isn’t just his right, it’s his job. Up until yesterday, he was doing that job at NPR. Firing him is their loss.
If NPR is unable to tolerate an honest debate about an issue as important as Islamic terrorism, then it’s time for “National Public Radio” to become “National Private Radio.” It’s time for Congress to defund this organization.
NPR says its mission is “to create a more informed public,” but by stifling debate on these issues, NPR is doing exactly the opposite. President Obama should make clear his commitment to free and honest discussion of the jihadist threat in our public debates – and Congress should make clear that unless NPR provides that public service, not one more dime.
Mr. President, what say you?
~ Sarah Palin
Something tells me Barack Obama is going to either hide under his desk on this one, or come out and say something outrageously stupid. He’s not going to step up though, as these are his people. These are the sort that carry the water for “community organizing” street thugs.
Sarah is right though, we need to defund the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and do it ASAP. This group funds both NPR and PBS. When the Corporation for Public Broadcasting was founded in the 1960s, it served a purpose. There were only three television networks, at the time, and they had little “public interest” programming.
As FDR had instituted the “Fairness Doctrine” which also killed free speech, just like the Marxists are wanting to do today, there was no talk radio. Most radio was AM, and was either Top 40 music, Country, or possible a combination of the two. NPR supposedly filled the void. Again a void created by the closest thing we ever had to a dictator in this country, the FDR administration, which killed free speech.
Today we have over 500 television channels available to virtually every American. Terrestrial radio is filled with all sorts of talk shows, as well as any kind of music you want to hear. We even have satellite radio that has hundreds of channels of just about anything one can dream of.
And let’s not forget the internet, something that is also available, one way or another, to most of the American people. The information available online is virtually, endless, unlimited.
No legitimate reason exists to continue to fund this any more, especially since Both NPR, as well as the “news” programming on PBS is as far left as it gets. Like most of the media, NPR and PBS basically serve as stenographers for the left. House organs of propaganda.
Taxpayers have poured billions of dollars into this boondoggle since 1969. $400 million in 2008 alone. This chart lays it all out.
Enough is enough.
Besides, George Soros has opened his check book and is giving NPR as well as the notorious hate website, the Huffington Post, millions of dollars. Soros recently threw in the towel when it comes to funding the Marxist-democrat party, because even he knows they are going to be all but wiped out come November, and will have no power, thus unable to help him destroy America as we know it. Better to fund a compliant and quite willing media, instead.
Glenn Beck has been hitting George Soros, and all of the extreme radicals, who are actually controlling the Marxist agenda in this country, all week long on his television show.
Thursday’s show was particularly strong as Glenn points out the absolute evil that has taken control of the American media, which you will see in the first few minutes of the show. Pure evil.
Also in the first segment, Glenn discussed a hit piece on Sarah Palin that appeared in POLITCO Thursday called “Hurricane Sarah.” There is literally not a single word in the story that is true. Not a single word!
Every person mentioned in this story has demanded POLITICO print a retraction and apology.
This piece of trash was penned by Jonathan Martin, a know member of JournoList. As it happens, POLITICO appears to have more known JournoList members on it’s staff than any other media entity. With this sort of “quality” you can imagine just how slanted their stories are. Not worth the bandwidth they take up.
You can see the first segment of Glenn’s powerful show below:
You’ll notice, like Martin Niemöller before him, Glenn warns the left wingers in the media, that radicals like Soros, and Obama won’t stop with getting him, or Fox News silenced. Sooner or later they’ll get around to them as well. It’s how these things always turn out.
You can see watch the rest of Thursday’s episode, courtesy of our friends at The Right Scoop, by clicking here.
In case you’ve missed any of this week’s (or any week’s) episodes of Glenn’s show, The Right Scoop has these archived daily, as well as many more must see videos.
If you are wondering what NPR does with your tax dollars, well it uses them to attack you, of course!
I think most of our readers are sophisticated enough to know what “teabagging” is, in the popular slang of the day. To put it gently, it’s an act performed by homosexual males. The name was first widely used by CNN’s Anderson Cooper, who …. well …. should know, if ya catch my drift. If you need more, look it up in the Urban Dictionary online.
The left, in all of it’s vile glory delights in calling members of the Tea Party “teabaggers, ” exclusively. And yes, this includes our President.
With that said, I give you this little number: Learn to Speak Tea Bag, which appeared on NPR’s website and was heavily promoted by them as “serious political commentary.”
Nothing like being insulted with your own tax dollars, huh? These disciples of Saul Alinksy have the minds of a child.
Oh, and this sad chapter in American history gets better. We have learned that NPR is now going after another one of it’s contributors, Maura Liasson, a very reliably lefty, and long time Fox News contributor. Andrew Breitbart has stated he feels Soros, and his many groups, are looking to intimidate members of their party, to make them think twice about going on Fox, in hopes of killing the “fair and balanced” programming formula.
Looking at the way Fox News surrounded the wagons and supported Juan Williams Thursday, and continue to do on Friday, Soros’ plans look to be a losing proposition, to say the least.
All I know for sure, is events like these, are exactly why the elections less than two weeks away are the most important elections in our nation’s history. Our one shot to reign in the insanity, and stop the radicals in their tracks.
Friends, you must vote, and you must drag everyone you know with you. No excuses. Not this time.
In America they first came for Juan Williams, and I didn’t speak up, because I wasn’t Juan Williams.
Then they came for Maura Liasson, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t Maura Liasson …

Multiple Sources Debunk Politico’s Palin Hit Piece
Posted by Adrienne Ross on October 23, 2010
By Adrienne Ross – http://www.motivationtruth.com
There’s something to be said for learning from the mistakes of others. Yet when it comes to Governor Palin, people can’t seem to do that. After Michael Joseph Gross’s Vanity Fair article that brought shame on him when, one after another, real sources debunked his anonymous sources, Jonathan Martin of Politico puts himself in the same boat with his hit piece.
His article, “Sarah Palin is wreaking havoc on the campaign trail, GOP sources say” makes all types of claims about the Governor, accusing her of being difficult to work with, unaccommodating, and totally unorganized–rude and incompetent basically. He cites “sources” to substantiate his claims. His hit piece has come crashing down on his head, and a retraction and apology are in order. Many are calling for just that.
He claims, for example, that she has rudely backed out of interviews with Mark Levin and Glenn Beck. Lies! In fact, Beck calls it an “out and out lie.” Outraged, here’s what he said about this “trash”:
Johnny, Johnny, Johnny…ya just made big mistake lying about Levin, Beck, Rush…U can lie about me, but taking on the Big Guns? Not smart
The hit piece also states that Governor Palin snubbed the Grassley and King campaigns in Iowa. Lies! My fellow blogger and truth seeker, Shane Vander Hart, contacted them himself. This is what Shane wrote (emphasis added):
Eric Woolson, spokesperson for Senator Chuck Grassley’s campaign, for the record said, that the anonymous source “does not represent the Senator’s views.” So evidently Senator Grassley was not displeased with any interaction they had with the Palin camp.
[…]
I have yet to contact the Iowa GOP and will follow-up, but I did talk with Jeff King with Congressman King’s campaign he said that they “didn’t have any inkling that we’d get her for a rally. We would love to have her though.” He said they did not expect that it would work out. He said nobody from their campaign talked with Martin and they certainly don’t have any complaints about Palin.
Click here to read Shane Vander Hart’s full article, which Governor Palin retweeted yesterday.
Not only is Jonathan Martin’s no-name sources lying, even the named sources debunk his claims.
Various other sources, including Big Journalism, also demand a retraction or blast this piece of crap that Politico calls journalism. C4P even received the following from Charlie Davis, CEO of the Southern Republican Leadership Conference (SRLC). It’s an email they sent to Martin himself:
Hey Jonathan,
Hope you’re doing well. Just read your article on Palin and wanted to add my two cents. (this wasn’t requested by anybody and feel free to quote me if you’d like)
As you know the 2010 SRLC was the largest Republican Leadership Conference in 30 years, with more speakers, more press and more attendees than ever before. Governor Palin’s staff was incredibly easy to deal with and very professional.
I interacted with every major GOP personality in the country leading up to the conference and can tell you first hand that the only thing different about Governor Palin was the intensity of the interest from the attendees, sponsors and even other speakers.
She’s easily the most requested surrogate our party has and it’s a shame that Republicans would rather gripe that they can’t get more of her time instead of being appreciative of everything that she does do.
Charlie Davis
President and CEO
2010 Southern Republican Leadership Conference
Today, Governor Palin discussed the issue with Glenn Beck on his radio show. Her modus operandi is to call it as she sees it, so she called Martin a “punk.”
Retrieved from C4P, who retrieved it from The Right Scoop, here you go:
This post is just a buffet of information gathered from my colleagues who care about truth and honesty, who are committed to holding people accountable for what they say and do. The behavior of some who fancy themselves professionals is deplorable. More than that, it’s just plain stupid. These people simply never learn their lesson, nor do they learn from those who have tried the same tactics and failed–over and over again. Palin Derangement Syndrome, with its accompanying fear and desperation, have disabled all their reasoning capabilities.
Those of you who are not yet convinced that there is an all-out determination to destroy Governor Palin, no matter what, please open your eyes. If you really care about truth, embrace it, and work to expose and destroy its enemies everywhere they surface. Governor Palin would be the first to tell you that the words she speaks and the actions she exemplifies should be evaluated as others’ are. However, the lies, the slander, and the attacks on her character are beyond the pale. What her character assassins are not willing to accept, however, is that none of it will cause her to wander off message, cower in fear, or retreat. It only fires her up even more–and fires up those of us who stand in her corner.
Onward and upward…

Lt Col Dick Muri, A Common Sense Conservative Who Can Win, With Your Help
Posted by Gary P Jackson on October 21, 2010
By Gary P Jackson
Dick Muri is yet another Common Sense Conservative who has been quietly taking on an entrenched incumbent Washington State democrat, off the national radar.
Even though Muri has been outspent 6:1, and his democrat opponent has been running wildly untrue attack ads against him, Real Clear Politics has rated this race a toss-up. Taking into consideration that most polls over-sample democrats, and the fact that even in dark blue Washington State, enthusiasm for common sense over the democrat agenda is off the charts, this is a winnable race.
From our friends on the ground in Washington:
Ret. Lt Col Dick Muri is within 3 points of 14 yr Democrat “Pelosi rubber stamped” incumbent Adam Smith in Washington States 9th Congressional District race.
With your help we can take this seat!! The race has moved to a tossup!
Adam Smith has a 6:1 fund raising advantage. He is flooding the TV stations, including Fox news channel with an attack ad with false information about Dick Muri.
In Smith’s ads, he is selling himself as an “Independent Voice” and “Fiscal Hawk“. Nowhere does it say the word “Democrat” much less that he has voted with Pelosi 96% of the time.
Here’s a Tacoma News Tribune editorial that debunks the lies in Adam Smith’s Attack ads against Dick Muri.
Lt. Col. Muri has been endorsed by Sarah Palin as one of the Combat Veterans For Congress, a program designed to help our bravest who have wanted to continue their service to our nation, as members of Congress.
From Muri:
Mary Muri and I were invited to be honored as one of twenty Combat Veterans for Congress endorsed candidates on the 9th of October in San Diego, California. Sarah Palin was one of the guest speakers at this fund raising gala event.
We had a few minutes to talk to her and have our picture taken. Governor Palin first words were “we need to get you and Dino Rossi elected“. I told her I was born in the Territory of Alaska in Fairbanks, Alaska in 1953. She immediately calculated the date and said, “was your father serving in the Air Force during the Korean War“?
She was 100% correct, as my father was serving at Ladd Air Force Base in Alaska for two years, went home for a quick one week leave to Framingham, MA to get married. Married my mom on 22 March 1953 and I was born 9 months later!
My mom waited 4 months until Airman 2nd class Joe Muri could get housing and moved to Fairbanks in July 1953 four months pregnant! Sarah Palin greeted all 20 of us Combat Veteran Candidates with enthusiasm and nice humor
I agree with Sarah, we need to get Dino Rossi and Dick Muri elected. We can do it, but we need your help. Again, Muri is being outspent 6:1 by a typical democrat who has no problem smearing his competition with lies, even after major publications in the state have called him out. It seems a democrat is a democrat is a democrat. They all must go!
In that spirit, I’d like to announce the Dick Muri Money Bomb!
As this is Washington’s 9th District, we’re asking everyone who can to send $9 (or more) to Dick’s campaign:
This is a winnable race, and a win in deep blue Washington State will send an even stronger message to the Obama regime. Adding another strong Common Sense Conservative to Congress will have the added bonus of sending a message to the GOP elites as well. Both will know doing business as usual is finished. Not going to happen!
Learn more about Dick Muri and his campaign at his website: http://dickmuri.com/
You can also follow Dick on Facebook and Twitter.
Here is Dick’s latest video ad:
There’s a whole lot of races out there and a whole lot of activity in the final weeks of this most important election season, but of all of the wins, this will be one of the sweetest.
We can send a Common Sense Conservative, in place of a radical democrat, to become a member of the 112th Congress from one of the bluest states in the nation. That will be a sweet victory indeed.
Send your donation of $9 (or more) today.
I don’t know about y’all, but I’m ready to party like it’s ‘94 …. 1894!
