SarahPAC’s Most Successful Quarter; Beats Out Clinton, Obama

Posted by Ron Devito on October 12, 2010

SarahPAC had its most successful quarter raising $1.2 million and raising more money than Clinton’s and Obama’s PACs, Conservatives4Palin reported today in separate articles written by Whitney Pitcher and Ian Lazaran.

“SarahPAC has raised over $4.6 million, with one quarter left in the 2009-2010 cycle. For the entire 2005-2006 cycle, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama raised $2.5 million and $4.2 million, respectively, for their PACs,” Lazaran wrote.

Both authors reported that the majority of SarahPAC’s donations were true grassroots, originating from donors who gave $250 or less.

Palin Kicks off NewsMax’s “Make America Great Again”

Palin Interview with Michael Reagan Excerpt retrieved from NewsMax

Gov. Palin’s interview with Michael Reagan covering ObamaCare, Iran, the economy, creeping Shariah, and a possible Palin presidency on NewsMax aired today at 13:00 (1 PM) EDT. David Patten, NewsMax, covered key points of the interview, which I watched in its entirety.

“I say this with first the preface that I hate war, and I hate the idea of our innocent blood being shed, and yet I realize that yes a military option has to be on the table. Joe Lieberman was right when he ‘yes the negotiations, the sanctions, all that – yes we have to try that’ – of course the military option has to be on the table, and these evil, evil dictators – is what I would call them – these evil men who would think that they are going to control America and make us fearful, no we have to rise up and we have to show our steel spine,” Gov. Palin said.

“Israel needs us; we need Israel…the allies need to be working together” she said. “We have to recognize that a nuclear weapon in that country’s hands is not just Israel’s problem or America’s problem, it is the world’s problem,” Gov. Palin said. “It could lead to that Armageddon; it could lead to World War III that could decimate so much of this planet.”

Michael Reagan spoke about French concerns over Shariah law taking a foothold in their country and how Newt Gingrich also spoke about it happening here.

“Americans will never stand for Shariah being the law of the land, whether it be affecting a segment of the population, a demographic, certainly not in its entirety all over our country. Americans will not stand for this, because Americans are smart enough to know – Shariah law if that were to be adopted – allowed to govern in our country – it will be the downfall of America, and too many Americans are on to this already and are starting to rise up and send the message to our federal officials that no, we will not put up with any hint of Shariah law being any sort of law of the land,” Gov. Palin said.

ObamaCare and Death Panels

“I was about laughed out of town for bringing to light what I called death panels because there’s going to be faceless bureaucrats who will based on cost analysis and some subjective ideas — somebody’s productivity in life — somebody is going to call the shots to whether your loved one will be able to receive health care or not: to me, death panels. I called it like I saw it and people didn’t like it,” Gov. Palin said.

Tea Party

Michael Reagan asked if Gov. Palin thought the Tea Party could maintain itself as it is or if it would have to grow into a third party. Gov. Palin spoke about how the Whig Party died in 1860 and became what is now the Republican Party with Abraham Lincoln as the the GOP’s first President. The Whig Party died, she said, because it did not follow the will of the people. But, Gov. Palin said “I don’t believe the Tea Party needs to become a party with positions, titles, and power struggles within.” To the contrary, the grassroots nature of the Tea Party is its beauty holding both parties accountable.

Ronald Reagan’s Effect on Gov. Palin as a Child

Gov. Palin came of political age at the height of the Reagan presidency. She said this was the time when she really learned about good and evil. “It was Ronald Reagan leading our country toward that good, toward that optimism; I believe I have greatly benefited from the influence of Ronald Reagan,” she said.

“Ronald Reagan left us with a blueprint of how to do things right.”

Michael Reagan invited Gov. Palin to visit the Reagan ranch and suggested she visit the USS Ronald Reagan.

On a Palin 2012 Presidential Run and Presidency

“It isn’t my call. It’s the people of America, whether they would be ready for someone a bit unconventional, a bit out of the box, being used to taking on the establishment on both sides of the aisle, or if they want someone a little more conventional, maybe a little more electable.”

Video: Sarah Palin Like You Have Never Seen Or Heard Her Before

Posted by Gary P Jackson on October 12, 2010

Vodpod videos no longer available.

By Gary P Jackson

We reported last week that Sarah Palin paid a visit to Palm Beach, Florida where she met with some of the top Conservative leaders in the nation. Sarah’s presence at this event set off another round of speculation that she was further positioning herself for a successful White House bid in 2012.

While there, Sarah sat down with Michael Reagan for the first in a series of webcasts sponsored by Newsmax Magazine called “Make America Great Again” …. a title taken from Ronald Reagan’s campaign slogan when he was elected president in 1980.

The video above is a preview of the first webcast, featuring Sarah, which airs Tuesday, October 12, at 1p.m. Eastern.

As you will see, Sarah is powerful, perhaps more powerful and forceful than we have ever seen her. In the interview Sarah hits on a wide range of topics.

From Newsmax:

Following are some of the many highlights of the extended Reagan-Palin interview being aired Tuesday:

When Americans elected Barack Obama as president, they expected the economy and jobs to be his top priority. Instead, Palin tells Newsmax, the administration decided, “despite the will of the people being against Obamacare, we’re going to shove this down your throat anyway.

Palin talks about being mocked for her warnings about what Obamacare would bring, including so-called “death panels.” She tells Newsmax:I was about laughed out of town for bringing to light what I called death panels because there’s going to be faceless bureaucrats who will based on cost analysis and some subjective ideas — somebody’s productivity in life — somebody is going to call the shots to whether your loved one will be able to receive healthcare or not: to me, death panels. I call it like I saw it and people didn’t like it.

She predicts that President Obama will continue favoring big-government nostrums, and she describes him as “quite naive” and “stubborn.” In one cryptic reference, she suggests that others may control Obama, stating that whoever “is pulling his strings” will not let the president adopt free-market solutions that would solve the nation’s economic problems.

Palin contends that Obama is “slamming us to the mat” economically by opposing the extension of the Bush-era tax cuts. The nation “will be slammed with the highest tax increase in our history” unless the tax cuts are extended, she says.

The best-selling author and Fox News commentator says she wants to “call out” Obama for his conduct of military operations in the Middle East: “I want to say, ‘You’re going to send our troops there in the danger zone, you better have a darn good reason why they’re going, and you better be committed to victory.‘”

Allowing Islamic-oriented laws in U.S. communities would be “the downfall of America,” Palin says, adding that Americans “will not put up with any hint of Shariah law being any sort of law of the land.

In greater detail than ever before, Palin talks about what factors might persuade her to run for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination. She even describes how a Palin presidency might look.

Even though the video above is just a preview, snippets from a much longer interview, you detect a real sense of purpose in her powerful voice. The answers are quite thoughtful and intriguing.

Sarah is still kinda teasing us concerning what will almost certainly be an upcoming bid for the presidency, but as she says, we still have an election to win, in just a few short days, before we worry about 2012!

In addition to Sarah and Michael Reagan, Fox News analyst Dick Morris, anti-tax activist Grover Norquist, social conservative Ralph Reed, and Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy appear on the webcast.

You can sign up to view the webcast, have access to a special website, and even receive a free copy of Sarah’s new book America by Heart, by going here.

If you miss the 1 p.m. launch, the webcast will be available for on demand viewing at the special website mentioned above, as will the rest of the webcasts, which will be launched between now and election day.

Don’t miss out on these landmark webcasts, sign up today!

Playing the Media Game, and Winning

Posted by reagantman on October 12, 2010

When the Democrat National Committee named Celtic Diva of Blue Oasis as their official Alaska blogger, little did they know that they inadvertently created an environment ripe for hundreds of conservative blogs which would sprout up quickly following the 2008 election. Conservatives might have been beaten and down after that fateful day in November, but when the loudmouths of the left continued their vicious assaults, particularly on Sarah Palin, conservatives responded. The cyber battlefield stage was set and activists who were rising up on the right were about to get the most politically active they have ever been in their life.

When President Obama talked about “hand to hand combat” in the halls of Congress which would follow huge Republican gains in November, it reminded this blogger about the keyboard to keyboard combat that we have been watching in the blogosphere for the last two years.

The liberals easily owned the right in cyberspace prior to Obama’s election. Conservatives and Republicans were the silent majority who had jobs, families and lives. They didn’t see a need to blog. They assumed that most Americans saw it the way they did – as grown ups.

But that changed the day the Alaska bloggers and the bloggers who post over on the Daily Kos went overboard. The Tea Party movement was picking up steam and the hundreds of thousands who attended Sarah Palin rallies when she was on the trail with McCain became part of the movement and eventually watched as their leader became a prominent player in the grassroots backlash to the liberal policies of the Obama administration. Sarah Palin was vilified. The Tea Party was vilified. The Alaska bloggers and their counterparts in the lower 48 were getting free coverage by a mainstream media that was all but glad to run with stories about Tea partiers spewing racial epithets and Sarah Palin being under federal indictment.

But the tide has turned.

Today there are hundreds of conservative blogs which are energized by articulate people who have become politically active out of necessity. There is a country to save.

The liberal blogs still spew their hate, but it is regurgitated hate now. They’ve run out of ammo. They may have even run out of things to make up. They were the masters of cyberspace two years ago. Today, they are overshadowed by the focus on the facts that has become the acid that burns the written products of their relentless lying.

With strokes of the keyboard and clicks of the mouse, Sarah Palin leads her minions from her Facebook page. Palinistas debunk liberal myths and clang their swords of words with the left, always softening the battlefield for the wielding of the rhetorical Excalibur from Alaska that mainfests itself in a tweet or a Facebook posting that finishes the job.

Sarah Palin is a case study in how to beat the smear machine. Most people would have been destroyed by the relentless battering she has taken. Dan Quayle, Newt Gingrich and George W. Bush can attest to that. Although, Gingrich is making a comeback, the rise and fall of a great Speakership was contingent on the dissatisfaction of the mainstream media with a conservative revival that threatened its elitist hold on the electorate.

When that happened again, the media unsheathed their swords and politically bloodied one of the greatest warriors to appear in the arena since Ronald Reagan. That warrior tended to her wounds and came out stronger, faster, more savvy than ever. She was big in 2008. She’s even bigger now. She will be even bigger in 2012.

They can’t stop her now. They’ve tried everything and it doesn’t work anymore.

Sarah Palin is not only a survivor of the media smear campaign. She is a teacher as well. Today, she advises political candidates, particularly women, how to survive the media beatings. She has helped the likes of Rand Paul, Carly Fiorina, Nikki Haley and Christine O’Donnell.

Sean Hannity asked Sarah Palin “what advice do you give — you have lived under fire — to those candidates that now are going to be the victims of these smears?” Palin responded:

Yes, well, remember, what they are doing. This is coming from Obama’s presidential campaign book, which goes back to Alinsky’s campaign book, “Rules for Radicals,” which Obama and Michelle Obama have quoted from. And that is, the politics of personal destruction perhaps will be the only thing that you have on your opponent so you make things up about them.

You lie, you spin, you do whatever you can and you use a complicit media to assist you in this, a left-wing media to assist you in this. So these candidates just need to be prepared for those rules of radical to be applied to them. They need to stay on message, they need to stay optimistic. They need to remind the American public what the time-tested truths are that created this great nation.

This is music to the ears of conservative bloggers who have been researching and exposing the media lies and conspiracies.

Liberal bloggers no longer have their vile reported on mainstream media outlets unchallenged.

The one who they have tried to destroy is now stronger than ever. With her stilleto heel firmly on the throat of the “lamestream media,” Palin has gone from being the hunted to being the hunter.

The truth is powerful once effectively articulated. Sarah Palin has become a modern day great communicator. Facts and truth are more potent weapons than lies and smears. And she wields these weapons with surgical precision.
