Gov. Sarah Palin Celebrates Hanukka and Honors Mumbai Terrorist Victims

Gov. Sarah Palin Celebrates Hanukka and Honors Mumbai Terrorist Victims

While Barack Obama is busy alienating his core constituencies by inviting an Evangelical, homophobic, sexist to give his inaugural invocation, Gov. Sarah Palin joins with members of the Jewish and Sikh communities to celebrate the first day of Hanukka and to honor those who lost their lives in the recent terrorist attacks in Mumbai , India .

Governor Sarah Palin, Rabbi Yosef Greenberg, Rabbi Michael Oblath and Ranamanmohan Minhas, representative of the Alaska Indian Sikh Temple , participated in lighting memorial candles for those lost in the recent terrorist attacks in Mumbai , India .

Isn’t it interesting that the way the mainstream media portrays reality is so dramatically different from the way things really are? We hear about how Obama is a uniter, yet he has done nothing but divide and alienate. He has set race relations back about 40 years and women’s equality back into the stone ages.

On the other hand, we hear how Sarah Palin is a right-wing extremist who hates anyone that isn’t just like herself. In the meantime, Palin is out celebrating with the Jewish community and attending memorial services with Sikhs.

The unfortunate part of this twisted tail of media malpractice is that the American public actually allows themselves to be brainwashed by journalists who are incompetent, at best, and McCarthy-ite propagandists at worst.

Isn’t it about time people turned off the tube and let their brains clear out a bit? I’m all for a ban on television. I haven’t owned or watched a television for ten years or so. Right now, I own a computer, but that has not always been true either. Guess what? I knew everything I needed to know and with a lot less spin on it. I knew who was running for political office; I knew if we were in a war; I knew the weather; I knew what bills were coming due; and, I knew what was on sale at the grocery store. Suffice it to say, I knew what I needed to know to be a good citizen.

Remember when Palin was first announced as McCain’s running mate? Women were excited! Obviously, the Obama camp knows a threat when they see one, so they executed a brilliantly successful campaign to destroy Palin in the eyes of women. How? By portraying her as everything a woman does not want to be seen as: an attractive bimbo. And, women fell for it.

Only time will tell if women, and men, in this country are capable of awakening from the media-induced stupor that seems to have engulfed them. Maybe four more years of a Bush-like Presidency will finally wake people up.

In the meantime, Palin just keeps on doing what she’s been hired by the people of Alaska to do: successfully execute the responsibilities of governor for all of the people, regardless of race, creed, or gender. Go Sarah! See you in 2012.
