Gov. Palin to Hannity: GOP Establishment Will Not Come to Her

Hiram Reisner at NewsMax writes about Governor Palin’s interview with Sean Hannity last night.
Sarah Palin said Tuesday the volatility and fluidity in the race for the Republican nomination could lead to a brokered convention, but there is no chance the GOP establishment “will come to me” if there is not a clear choice to face President Barack Obama. The former Alaska governor has indicated in recent days she would not be against another political run.
“Well, the establishment will never come to me — I know that, you know, for a fact. However a brokered convention — I wouldn’t be afraid of that,” Palin told Fox News’ Sean Hannity. “The electorate shouldn’t be afraid of that. That’s the continuation of a process and competition that perhaps would in the end be very good for our party and good for the cause of defending the republic.
“Sean, if Newt Gingrich wins some of those key southern states, if [Rick] Santorum can win some of the Midwest states and in part of that Rust Belt, and then if [Mitt] Romney wins some of the purple states — more moderate areas — then I can see it lead to a brokered convention without anybody having that majority support within the party,” Palin said. “Perhaps that would be the outcome.”

With next week’s primaries in Arizona and Michigan approaching, Palin said she is still not formally backing any of the candidates and believes the vetting process should continue.
“I don’t know at this point who I would vote for there in Michigan. I do want the process to continue,” she said. “We know that we had a poor process last go around and it’s the fault of the media — the leftist lame-stream media that did not vet Barack Obama, who then obviously became our president, and now we are suffering the negative ramifications of what Barack Obama stands for.
“I want the process to continue — competition makes everybody better,” Palin continued. “It is still sharpening still with these gentlemen who are putting themselves forward in the name of service to our country — it needs to continue.”

It’s a good thing the GOP establishment won’t come to Sarah. It is unlikely that anyone they put forward will end up winning the primary, and would certainly be weaker against Obama than a non GOP establishment candidate. Once we get to the second ballet in the Convention, then it’s GAME ON!

Sarah palin.’s nuetrality to 4 GOP’s candidates will serve her well during the brokered convention. Sure the Republican establishment may be splintered but I quess the GOP’s candidates will be choosing the best replacement for them.
